Open borders no more? Belgium puts in place new checks on border with France, but not 'literally' closed

Open-borders Europe is quickly closing as Belgium announced earlier tonight that it was putting in place new border checks in place:

France24 says French borders not literally closed (logistics near-impossible), but checks far more comprehensive. Belgium announces same.
