James Comey has long since given up any pretense of nonpartisanship in possible attempts to win back some favor among liberals who think he contributed to Hillary Clinton’s loss. Here’s the latest:
The United States should be a shining light for the world, modeling a democracy that values truth, respects free press, protects human rights, and stands against murderers, oppression, and bigotry. Trump and the Republican Party are dimming that light.

With tweets like that it isn’t very hard to see how there was anti-Trump sentiment among some at the FBI when Comey ran the agency, is there? In any case, count Howard Dean among Dems airing 2016 grievances against the former FBI director:
