SHAMELESS: Samantha Power 'should really stay silent' about this (but she didn't)

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power has demonstrated a stunning lack of self-awareness in criticism of the administration that succeeded Obama, and she had more of the same Tuesday in regards to the horrors in Syria:

Backed by Russia&Iran, declared permanent by Trump, Assad regime in #Syria feels safe to do what it wants. Gassing people is what it wants.

Perhaps Power’s criticism had something to do with Trump mentioning the previous administration in the White House’s statement on Syria, but in any case Power was viewed by many as definitely not the one to be leveling any criticism:

Considering your former boss's disgraceful history on Syria, you should really stay silent. https://t.co/PjMuRjoimU

Of all the people in the world who should hold their tongue, it's the woman who wrote A PROBLEM FROM HELL & then allowed another to happen. https://t.co/KyBPQ60e74

"..made permanent by Trump"

Ignore Assad for 3 years, now complain It's Trump's problem. Astounding. https://t.co/0Uv9CxtdkP

You either have no sense or irony or no sense of shame (maybe neither) to tweet this when you did nothing with your authority to prevent it. https://t.co/kqdvCtIMfo

Good thing BHO drew that red line. Coulda been so much worse!

Don't know how, but I'm sure you will come up with something. https://t.co/BGhh9ZS4rx

Chutzpah. You were a major player in creating the current situation. Assad felt safe to gas his people when you were UN ambassador too. https://t.co/qErQxMHxuV

Yeah, I can't believe Trump really screwed up #Syria so badly after all those years of stability since Obama drew that red line. https://t.co/7wKVPWi4Ae
