REALLY!? Journo: Is Christie's call for 'jailing political opponents' like Hillary unprecedented?

https://twitter.com/hboulware/status/755587301602914305

As Twitchy reported earlier, night two of the Republican convention featured New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a former prosecutor, slamming Hillary Clinton and leading a chant of “lock her up!” The Left got the vapors. Others even wondered if Christie’s rhetoric was unprecedented:

The crowd chants "Lock her up!" and Christie says, "I'm getting there."

Since when do Americans advocate jailing political opponents?

.@juliaioffe Americans are not "advocating jailing political opponents." They are advocating imprisonment for those who break our laws.

— Belladonna Rogers (@BeladonnaRogers) July 20, 2016

We advocate jailing criminals. It just so happens one is a political opponent.

Since the opponents committed treason and lied to every American https://t.co/XrUFaYPUx0

Does all that help answer the question?
