In Orlando, Florida, where a gunman opened fire inside the Pulse nightclub and pledged allegiance to ISIS during his rampage, President Obama faulted “our politics” (read: Republicans and the NRA) for the attack:

As for those who claimed that if somebody in the club had been armed lives might have been saved, Obama had this to say:

Is the president saying victims of Omar Mateen’s rampage would have somehow been less safe if some clubgoers had been carrying a means to defend themselves? That simply, well, defies common sense. But we’re used to it from this president.
