President Obama may have violated the law by releasing five Taliban leaders from Gitmo in return for Bowe Bergdahl without first notifying Congress.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was asked about Obama’s failure to notify members of Congress (with the apparent exception of Harry Reid) prior to the Gitmo prisoner releases in return for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Here’s Reid’s reply:

Reporter: “How come it seems though that you’re the only one who got a heads-up the day before?”

Reid: “I’m not sure I’m the only one. I mean it’s made a big deal over nothing. The whole deal is, ‘is it Friday or is it Saturday.’ What difference does it make? You know I … what difference does it make?”

Wow, that sounds familiar!

Perhaps Reid’s just preoccupied by the only thing that does make a difference:

That goes without saying.

I’m surprised he didn’t say that Obama’s call was blocked by all the “Dark Money” that the Koch brothers were giving to congress, and so it was their fault that the notification was late. Maybe the Koch-topus bought the phone switch in the capitol building and was blocking Obama’s calls…

Dingy is a delusional enough liar…

This is how Harry Reid paying back for calling Obama “Clean and speaks without accent”.

  • FreedomRecon

If the Koch brothers, Bush, and Palin weren’t trying to sabotage Obama personally at every opportunity, then Obama would totally have followed the law on this one.

  • Humanary Stew

Keep speaking Reid. Continue to give republicans more fodder for campaign ads.

    • Bill Phillips

      What difference does it make?

  • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

So Reid has no issue with Obama breaking the law to free terrorists, but then will waste Senate time on bashing the Koch Bros.?

More proof that we need to get this senile old joke out of control of the Senate.

If I hadn’t heard it with my own ears, I’d think it was made up. Then again, expecting much out of Crazy Harry is just setting oneself up for disappointment.

Also, this picture will NEVER stop being relevant:

“One trick is to tell stories that don’t go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m’shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ’em. ‘Gimme five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Now where were we… oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. I didn’t have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones… “

“Anyway, about my washtub… I just used it that morning to wash my turkey, which in those days was known as a ‘walking bird.’ We’d always have walking bird on Thanksgiving with all the trimmings: cranberries, injun eyes, and yams stuffed with gunpowder. Then we’d all watch football, which in those days was called ‘baseball.'”

  • helpmegetback

Reid you are correct sir, it doesn’t make a difference if it was one or two days before the exchange. The notification to Congress SHOULD have been 30 DAYS before – you moronic law breaking criminal.

Like Obamacare, the deal was made by reconciliation. Totally legit.

Harry, it’s the law. You are a lawmaker. Next week’s lesson will be on the role of the Majority Leader. And no, it does not have anything to do with majors, majorettes or cowboy poetry.

I canNOT wait to see November political ads.

All righty, then. When we get more knives shoved and twisted into our collective backs – when we get more federal buildings and such like taken out by hijacked airplanes, I hope someone will tattoo that to your forehead. Jackanape.

    Priorities according to Harry Reid:

Obama violating the law? “What difference does it make?”
The Koch brothers expressing dissenting opinions? “…these two brothers who are about as un-American as anyone I can imagine”

  • Bill Phillips

LOL …now where have I heard “What difference does it make?” before!?

Looks like the new 2014 & 2016 campaign slogan for the DNC will be “What difference does it make?” < A sure winner! …..ROFL
