Arizona’s Republican Governor Jan Brewer announced Wednesday that she had vetoed #SB1062, which was exactly what many people had been calling on her to do. However, Brewer certainly didn’t win over Sally Kohn.

But Kohn’s continued criticism was mild in comparison to some other hate that continues to be thrown Brewer’s way in spite of Wednesday’s veto:

Leftists don’t exist without their hate and rage. It defines who they are. Orwell was correct.

Anyone who still thinks that the Left is capable of the smallest iota of compromise or “moderation”: – take note.

    • ozconservative

And any conservative/libertarian who thinks they can get these people to “like” them is a fool.

      • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

It would be quite an accomplishment to get them to like themselves.

      • Humanary Stew

Hell, a lot of conservatives/libertarians don’t like each other. Even on this site, there is infighting.

        • Jay Stevens

Yes, but when have you seen any of us regulars call anyone a c**t?

          • Humanary Stew

I am not saying it reaches those levels. And I am not saying we all have to agree on everything,

My point is that we don’t often get along with those that we have the most in common. How can you expect to get along with those that you disagree with on almost everything? Especially with their attitudes.

    • golftilidrop

Don’t forget envy and dishonesty, both tenets of the leftist.

  • Steven A

I’d like to thank Jan Brewer for exposing the reality of capitalism: Business owners have the right to refuse service for any reason, and let the free market sort out the wisdom of their decision. The idea that one must gain sanction from government before choosing how you conduct your business is, in a word, fascist.

    • Joel

The courts do not see it your way. That’s why the bill was proposed. If you think for a minute that gay fascists are interested in letting the free market decide the issue, you’ve got something coming.

  • yourmamatoo

Why are gays so hateful? Such bigots?

    • Adam Wood

It’s the nature of homosexuality, I’m afraid. Self-loathing is an integral part of that chosen lifestyle.

      • des111168

They can play pretend all they like, but in the end, they know deep down what they’re doing is wrong.

        • falling321

Actually, they have no clue that what they are doing is wrong. In fact, they think that anyone who even THINKS what they are doing is wrong should have vile and terrible things done and said to them…didn’t the tweets above prove that to you?

          • Jack Deth
          • Ryan Johnson

ah thanks. I’d gotten out of the habit of reading that site.

I actually found out about the stuff on the teen areas of the planned parenthood site because of them.

          • puggish

Good lord. It depends on the person.

            Ask them yourself. I have.

          • falling321

You must be far behind the times! Today’s teenager will have experimented with homosexual behavior before they graduate from high school. In fact, every girl my son knows professes to be “bi-sexual”…it ensures they always have a date on Saturday night! So yes, homosexuality is a choice and is often chosen by those who are trying to be more popular. There is no doubt that in some of those cases, homosexuality will ‘stick’ when they find that it is easier to attract those of the same sex than those of the opposite sex!

          • West_Coast

I think gay people love the attention, just like any other drama queens.

          • Jack Deth

Since being “Gay” is a learned response. And there is no “Gay Gene” or Chromosone. Yes.. Many do.

          • WhoDat

            I’m curious.

Did you choose to be attracted to your wife/girlfriend?

          • Jack Deth

You really need to brush up on your Leftist Talking Points.

            You’re embarrassing yourself most profusely.

          • WhoDat

Did you choose who you were attracted to? Can you choose?

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

If a person has sex with the opposite sex once, that’s an experiment. Every time after that is a choice.

Being attracted to a person of the opposite sex does not constitute homosexuality. Consummating the fact does.

          • carmenta

Do you mean ‘same’ not opposite….

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

No, I meant “same.” I’m not sure what would cause the desire, but we are all flawed to one degree or another. Acting upon desires is a choice that all humans must make. Our free will is supposed to separate us from animals.

          • Joshua J. Dazzle Bevel

            We can actually say “No”.

          • badbadlibs

Yes. They “choose” to be sodomites or lesbians or can’t make up their minds which they like best.
There is not a single bit of scientific proof they don’t do anything other then “choose”.
If you want to defend a deviant lifestyle choice, then at least use known facts.

          • bret robertson

yes they do either consciously or sub-consciously there is no “gay” gene or any crap like that

        • puggish

Oh please. Just stop with the over-the-top drama and victimization.

        • West_Coast

The price is premium for screaming ‘gay’ these days. Hell, the 1st gay NBA princess got to dance with the ‘first princess’ at the white house. He got to eat caviler, drink fine wine, and get his @ss pinched by some high profile 1%ers. I wonder if he realized, or even cared that Obama was against gay marriage just one term ago.

Pimping gays for votes…I guess everyone has their price.

          • WhoDat

So, it’s the “cool” thing to be gay now?

          • West_Coast

It’s the equivalent of your buddies high-fiving you in the locker room because you made it to 3rd base on your date the night before. They practically throw you a parade now.

          • Ryan Johnson

To be fair, now that the culture is so homosexualized the gays can’t complain about being so-called “oppressed” anymore.

          • QueenB

Don’t know but it sure seems to be oh so cool to call a woman a cee u next Tuesday, even when she made the decision you wanted her to. You, being used as a general term.

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

You don’t watch TV or movies? It’s all the rage now. Anyone who disagrees is a “hater.”

          • Ryan Johnson

That’s why I stopped watching tv. I knew i was done when I was watching a PG rated, family show (Everybody Hates Chris-I don’t agree with every single thing Chris Rock says but he and that show is hilarious) on teennick and then an advertisement for a teennick show aired during it showing a homosexuality kiss. If that’s in the show that’s their business, but why do I need to be forced to look at it during a commercial break for a family show?

          • nc ✓s & balances

            Indoctrination.

And they’re trying to shove us all “into the closet” as fast as they can.

          • nc ✓s & balances

Tug, I can’t remember the last time I watched a TV sitcom (that wasn’t a 30yr old rerun). But the other night they had the premiere of “About A Boy” starring Minnie Driver, who is an actress I have liked in some movies. In the first ten minutes, two strangers were jumping into bed, then in another scene the male lead was mocking Driver’s “uptight” character, asking her if she had had sex in the last year. It was their second conversation, and it was in front of her son. That was more than enough for me to turn it off.

Is this what “entertainment” has descended to? We’re doomed.

          • Ryan Johnson

American Horror Story: Coven has very open Satanism on it as well. It’s not just the sex, it’s that entertainment has also become much, much more demonic in nature. Katy Perry apparently performed witchcraft on stage at the Grammy’s.

          • nc ✓s & balances

            Ugh.

          • grais

            Self-control? Dat be ol’ school.

          • carmenta

and I dont limit that suggestion to homosexuals. Heterosexuals could stand to learn that lesson too. Seriously, why did humans decide that one sexual aberration was okay and another wasn’t? If gays really ‘cant help themselves’ than that is an issue of mental illness.

          • mark kelley

First, im not gay. I don’t need an alternative.
2nd Your suggesting the answer to being gay is self control? As in don’t ever have sex for your whole life? That’s your alternative option?

That is about as logical as all these others suggesting that sexual orientation is a choice.

Hey Kohn, the governor didn’t veto the bill because of you and your militant friends. It was poorly written and bad for business but the crux of the intent was legit. The majority of the citizenry of this country aren’t gay so forgive us if we’re not rushing to turn religion and yes, the country upside down to avoid offending delicate sensibilities (conveniently ignored when referring to Brewer in the above tweets).

In other words, like one gay friend of mine said….instead of rushing to lawyer up, angry and intolerant of a Christian’s beliefs, just find another bake shop.

    • QueenB

Gosh, its almost as if your gay friend would be more concerned about their actual marriage as opposed to who baked their cake. That’s just crazy!

  • DanielSFL

Bigoted hateful racists and misogynists on the left, always projecting their hate and intolerance onto others, trying to lie about it and their history of bigotry. What scumbags they are.

  • Jens Johnson

What is the most interesting is that the left and Gays use such descriptive terms about anyone on the right. Yet when they get called the same thing by someone on the right they scream and complain like they have been stuck with a red hot poker. May all of them get the same kind of kindness in return, that they showed in their tweets.

  • puggish

Astounding, really, the amount of hate being leveled against women (and their genitalia) by these leftist commenters.

Once again: don’t panic. The existing law on the books that protects religious freedom, the one that has been there for fifteen years, is still there. Nothing really changed tonight.

      • nc ✓s & balances

Then what was the fuss all about?????

        • Humanary Stew

This bill would have amended the current law. It actually would have made it harder for a business to refuse service. Ironic, no?

  • BoscoBolt

Brewer got spooked by obama’s thugs – and the fact that they are still spewing hatred at her just goes to show that she should have paid them no heed, but rather, she should have done her job, upheld her oath of office, and signed this religious protection bill into law.

Brewer has failed the people of Arizona.

    • des111168

Brewer got spooked by the Chamber of Commerce, who, it is readily becoming apparent, is quite willing to sell their souls for a few more bucks. The problem as well is that they’re trying to sell ours too.

Both Fox News’s Megyn Kelly and Brit Hume have expressed skepticism about a controversial bill in Arizona that proponents say would protect religious freedoms of business owners.

Kelly: What is this about because we hear from folks on the religious right who say they feel religion is under attack and I look at this bill and wonder whether this is a reaction, an over-reaction to people who feel under attack on this score and in the end they may have struck back in a way that’s deeply offensive to many and potentially dangerous to folks who are gay and lesbian and need medical services and other services being denied potentially.

Understood… Hearing the same chorus, over and over from the liberal peanut gallery gets a bit tiresome…

  • unknown

Good, the bill has been killed now let’s kill the state. Wipe out Arizona and all the bigots that reside in it /sarc.

    • QueenB

So now death is the answer. So open minded and tolerant you are.

      • Stephen Henry

I think you missed the /sarc = sarcasm.

        • unknown

Maybe I should make it more obvious

          • QueenB

In fact, I did miss the /sarc tag. This happens when I make comments before I have my coffee. (Honestly, I should have learned this lesson by now. lol)

          • nc ✓s & balances

            Coffee first. Comments second!

  • stellatruman

consider the source..she’s just another hate monger , employed by msnbc

  • Steve in Katy

I imagine the MSM newsrooms are full of Sally Kohn type thinking. We’re doomed.

  • melle1228

Yeah I don’t feel bad for any Repub that capitulates to the other side. This always happens. Congrats on your new fascist “allies” Brewer!

  • JDanaH

More evidence of the Democratic War on Women.

  • ToyZebra

You can’t placate the left, Jan. I hope at least that you have learned that.

  • LAPhil

This was just about the biggest case of political bullying I’ve ever seen. That’s the second time Arizona has been told “don’t do this or else”. It’s too bad they can’t just have their own self-sufficient state where they could tell the rest of the country that if they don’t like what they do there they can go pound sand.

  • puggish

Leftist standard operating procedure: hate, rage, name-calling. Rinse, repeat.

One of these days perhaps we’ll elect politicians on the right who aren’t afraid of that, and will stand up to it.

  • Joshua Embrey

I have received some unsavory reactions on here when I post something I truly believe to be hypocritical bull. However, when a liberal jumps in, there is nothing but vile comments and hateful, antiquated rage. Example, the lady who cuts my hair is a liberal who is in her late 40s, she’s a small business owner, and she has two kids in college. Whenever I look like I’m going to disagree with her, she gets that constipated look on her face, stares at the floor, makes some dumb ass comment, and she wants to crush the very conversation she initiated! I love healthy discussion, but I detest people who lack the mental acumen and desire to debate someone who agrees with them less than 100 percent.

    • puggish

Back when I actually used Facebook, the few posts I made that even whiffed of conservatism were greeted with howls of rage from my relatives and many FB “friends”, all of whom had no qualms about posting outrageous lefty stuff constantly and would unfriend anyone who complained about it.

      God, what nazis.

Needless to say, I don’t use FB anymore 😉

      • Joshua Embrey

I only have Facebook because you need an account to post a comment to most online articles. I agree with your reply with one exception: conservatives have hit me with the same garbage when I point out hypocrisy on their part. You are correct in saying liberals are worse.

    • nc ✓s & balances

I would worry about having those kinds of conversations with someone like that who’s holding scissors so close to my head.

      • Susan

Yeah, I wouldn’t want argue politics with the fate of my hair in the other persons hands.

        • Humanary Stew

          Hair grows back at least.

          • nc ✓s & balances

Actually, I wasn’t thinking about my hair.

          • Humanary Stew

I know. That is why I didn’t respond to you with this comment. 😉

  • http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/ keyboard jockey

The Left has perfected the Hate Spew.

  • JonInVa

They don’t realize how disgusting they are because they have lost all semblence of conscience while masquerading as the ones “with a conscience”. Frigging irony at its finest.

And of course, they’d be the first to defend a black photographer who is sued by the KKK for refusing services to work their private rally. Or the baker who doesn’t want to cater a party by Westboro Baptist because they want large cakes with “God hates [email protected]” written on them. But take a moral stand against gay marriage and the nukes come out in full.

    Hypocrites to the end.

  • The Apostle

Sally Kohn…….a Liberal who Sean Hannity actually likes! He said so on his radio show.

  • The Apostle

GOP: “Liberals will love us if we only meet them halfway.”

  • Eponymous1

These vulgar orcs barely retain a shred of humanity.

  • jumper297

This is the best our universities can put out anymore… a bunch of mouth-breathing, hate-filled mongoloids with zero critical thinking skills. (Or any skills for that matter.)

  • LegalizeShemp

Democrats are Lucy holding the football, and the Re-pubics are Charlie Brown the kicker. “Honest Charlie Brown, I won’t pull the ball away this time, go ahead and kick it!” Repubs go up for the kick, Dems pull the ball away, and the Repubs end up flat on their backs in pain. Then they get up and prepare for the next kick.

  • Steve__Jacobson

IMO, vetoing the bill will create more problems then it will solve.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    That’s gratitude for ya… Just out of spite, she should have the State legislature pass it again, and sign it into Law, to show Sally Whack-A-Mole and all these haters she has Cojones… Jawamax 8<{D}

    • nc ✓s & balances

      Gratitude? You’re joking, right?

  • spaceycakes

is that the same ‘Jim Norton’ that considers himself a ‘comedian’? Huh. Well, I can curse with the best of them…hey look ma! I’m a comedienne!

  • frozeninbemidji

That should show Jan Brewer and any other squish just how far your bending over backwards and showing no spine will get you with the radical scumbags.

Also – Has Jim Norton ever looked in a mirror?

  • Stephen L. Hall #NonquamTrump

Just the sheer level of hatred from these people, has got to be bad for their health, and not just their mental health.

  • Kelly Laraia

The left has established that they can refer to a republican or conservative woman as a cu**. They get a free pass from the media, so they will continue.

  • rhondacivic

It’s nice to come here and remind myself of how ridiculous the left is. Then I read the stupid, reactionary comments that people spew about gays and I’m reminded of how ridiculous many on the right are as well. It puts a real damper on being a principled conservative when many of you keep repeating hateful garbage.

See “the nature of homosexuality” comment and the ensuing bull that follows.

  • genjac3213

The religious freedom fighters lose again to the real runners of the right (and politics in general): Corporate money.

  • ErikandKathy Muller

I hate when people write h.a.t.e. across their knuckles

  • CBDS

    Stay classy militant lesbians.

  • NonPCconservative

    Classy aren’t they.

  • garygramscom

This is why we should adopt a no compromise with liberals, no matter what you do where they may benefit, they still spit their vile hate on you.

  • Daphne Beitman

Rush predicted yesterday that this would happen. He needs to wear a wizard’s hat.

    • Humanary Stew

Do yourself a favor and don’t leave yourself open like that. Do you know what some progressive would respond to that with?

      • Daphne Beitman

I appreciate the advice. But I really don’t care. Let them expose themselves for who and what they really are. I have nothing to hide.

  • lazypadawan

She should’ve signed the darn thing anyway.

  • QueenB

I think my favorite thing on Twitchy are these people who say really stupid stuff, get smacked down big time, and then delete their comments. Yep, I’m talking to you electra-not-so-divine.

  • kateorjane

Funny how the Left reviles the n word but apparently has no problem with the c word but the Right is the group waging a war on women.

  • Largebill

A sad display of ignorance. Says a lot about liberals that they can not express themselves without using vulgar words and hateful nonsense.

  • cscape

I was just wondering……. Where are all the vicious TWEETS in reaction to Attny General Holder’s hospitalization? (they don’t exist – that’s a major difference between US and THEM)

  • Norm McDonald

Awww…aren’t libs such nice folks? sarc!

  • sickofthebs

This was pretty predictable, not to mentions the left’s skewing of the bill itself as anti-gay.. Leftists are a nasty bunch, haters hate. When will conservatives realize you can not appease them, you FIGHT THEM.
There will be Muslim backlash to this radical gay movement soon, I can’t wait to see what the left does then.

    • RJLigier

Republican libertarians and progressives will never directly confront the leftists as it is social liberalism aka homosexual/bisexual behavior that binds them.

  • Dobermite

When are these Republican pols ever going to learn that when you pander to the left you don’t win their approval, EVER, all you do is p*ss off conservatives.

BTW the democrats NEVER sellout their left-wing base … NEVER!!

  • RJLigier

After reading the twits, it’s clear leftist homosexuals and bisexuals hate with a passion leftist lite aka GOP progressives. Makes one wonder why the GOP are such masochists.

  • daPenguin

so under the ruling can a Jewish baker for forced to bake a cake for a neo Nazi party? If not then why not?

  • Jason

This is what happens when you pander to the left. They still stab you in the back. For some reason, no one learns from this.

  • Charles Hammond Jr

She should have signed the bill.

  • Greenie Beanie

While many socialist demands arise from envy, socialists also demand that subjective judgements of merit replace objective morals and utility.

  • bret robertson

wow look at the tolerant left on twitter

  • Duddioman

Tolerance is nonexistent among those who demand it from everyone else.

Drama Queens…. making it ALL ABOUT ME! since the Roman empire. =/

  • Kenneth Spell

    Nobody respects an appeaser.

  • Liz

That bill was not just about gay people right? Now a neo-nazi can go into a bakery owned by a Jewish guy and demand a cake that says hail hitler on it with swastikas all over the place and the bakery has to do it.

    also, war on women anyone?

  • Pedro

I tried to enter this discussion with what I thought were well reasoned arguments in past threads and was immediately called a “bigot”. That is what the left does. Let’s not debate ideas and principles. Lets call each other names. And the one that yells the loudest… wins.

  • Conservative Pitbull

Funny. Angry gay guys. Will they be protesting in speedo’s at the court house? Where’s Johnny Weir and the pink brigade when you need her.

  • falling321

ROFL Just the same old leftists insisting that the world see them as they truly are…filthy mouthed, hate filled and vile.

  • Jefferson

The same hypocritical leftists who say the the right disrespects women, are the same hypocritical leftists who use the C word to describe any woman that they hate.

  • tessaprn

Feeling the tolerance! Decided that the biggest definition for a true liberal is that they must always tote around hatred for everything particularly who and what does not agree with them!
