Boston Globe reporter Matt Viser tweeted some pictures of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz from back in his days at Harvard:

Ted Cruz, at Harvard Law, celebrates GOP wins in 1994 with a fat cigar.

Viser’s article is titled “Harvard Law outsider became Tea Party hero.”

  • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

And I’ll bet he’s not afraid to show his transcripts….

    • stuckinIL4now

Unlike Obumuh, Cruz has authentic transcripts, not ones that somebody had to make up.

      • Michelle ✓classified

Transparency…transcripts…what difference, at this point, does it make? He fails on both accounts.

    • GrindingMills

I don’t remember seeing any other elected official’s undergraduate or graduate transcripts.

      • d gasawa

George W. bush published his, for one. And people remembered seeing him on campus!

      • Jerry Camp

How did we know that President Bush’s grades were better than VP Gore Jr’s? Their college transcripts were made public.

        Next.

      • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

I do. It was all the rage in the 90s and into early 2000…until it came out George W. Bush got better SAT scores than both Al Gore and Bill Bradley.

        • thetreyman

lets not forget that he also did better than John “D Student” Kerry.

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

But the D stands for “distinguished” remember? :-)

    • lukuj

And the people he went to school with actually remember seeing him.

  • Michelle ✓classified

The ever-so-awesome Senator Ted Cruz follows me on Twitter. Bragging rights.

    • Surry918

      That’s hot.

      • Michelle ✓classified

I was definitely pretty stoked when I saw that happen.

    • JJHLH

Wow, that is impressive! I shook his hand twice, which I am proud of.

      • Michelle ✓classified

To meet him is something to be proud of!

      • doorsxp

You didn’t ever wash your hand again right? :)))

    • http://Twitter.com/jkerrysforehead John Kerry’s Forehead

      Respect!

      • Michelle ✓classified

I’m pretty sure it’s his office staff that runs his official Senator account and one of them who chose to follow me, but still….made me smile.

        • HanaFiveO

Steve Stockman, Mike Lee, James Woods, Gary Senise (or their staff) and a few other notibles will follow back.
To their credit, I think thats how they keep in touch with folks outside the bubble. Its still a thrill when ya get that “follows you” tag tho!

          • Michelle ✓classified

I follow Senise and Woods, no follow back. Cruz and Nick Searcy follow me and they each did it after I comment I made for each of them, had been following them long before that.

          • HanaFiveO

I think Woods was following anyone who followed him when he first joined Twitter. But then he got over run by trolls and stopped that.
Senise only follows if your registered/active with one of the charity’s he supports (I’ve been told), but he really doesn’t answer tweets just uses Twitter to get event/donation info out.
Searcy is funny. He followed back the hubbs twitter but not the Mrs. account. If he gets the slightest inkling that your a troll he will spank you hard and block you. Usually, I just enjoy sitting back and watching him destroy the centipedes.

    • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈwhitey

He follows me too… although, my timeline’s not the most, shall we say, ‘amicable’, I keep wondering if/when he’ll unfollow due to the content.

        Another Woo Hoo!

      • Michelle ✓classified

I don’t play nice on Twitter either – I tend to lay into Pelosi, Feinstein, et al. I just tweeted Toure and told him I feel so bad for how exhausting it must be being him.

        • HanaFiveO

How do you manage to stay out of Twitmo? The hubbs account has been indefinitely detained for 6 weeks now. The Mrs. account is for back up, mild tweeting and keeping up with the news of the day.
Got into it with Mia Farrow a couple weeks ago and thought for sure I was going to be put in time out.

          • Michelle ✓classified

I have no clue why I’ve never been put in a time out. I’m pretty brutal to Pelosi, Feinstein and Schwartzman. I don’t cuss, but I don’t pull punches either. Ha – I’ve gotten into it with Mia also. I keep expecting to be put in Twitter jail one of these days.

          • HanaFiveO

Harrumph. I’m the same way, not obscene, just direct. Like I am on here only much shorter.
Its a mystery. Good for you for keeping out of the clutches of the gulag masters.

          • Michelle ✓classified

I’m now nervous that you just jinxed me!

          • HanaFiveO

            Sorry, fingers crossed!

          • GaryTheBrave

Tell me your Twitter handle so I can flag your tweets. Don’t want you to feel left out. ;-D

          • Michelle ✓classified

Dude, I’m under their radar so far, let me stay there!

          • HanaFiveO

Grrr…got hit with a storm last night & lost power.
Yea, you can get sent to Twitmo for replying too often to other tweets in your timeline. They wont tell you what the magic # is, but Ive been told it is an automated system based on your following/follow ratio. The larger your #s the more you can tweet without getting tagged for “abuse of reply.”

          • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈwhitey

I always precede my replies with a “.”. It’s not a direct interaction, and shows up in their mentions, which can’t be blocked/reported for spam, I don’t think.

At least, so far (after being suspended TWICE) I have yet to be suspended. I’m always careful to prefix a reply with something OTHER than the Twitter handle I’m replying to.

          • HanaFiveO

I always wondered why some folks put a period before the twitter address.

            Thanks K!

          • Michelle ✓classified

Sorry the silly-tone of my comments is flying right over ya head. 😉

          • HWarrior13

            Ah huh, ok.

          • HWarrior13

“Can’t” imagine “someone” who would down arrow a comment so quickly on a article from more than 2 days ago? “Odd”
Must be someone very insecure …”someone” who would feel the need to “brag” about being one of over 8000 people who a prominent politician would follow, perhaps?

          • Michelle ✓classified

The down vote was for your arrogance. Dear, you really should consider getting over yourself. I’ve watched you the past few days get into on here with some folks who are delightful and funny. I saw you get real sh*tty with nc last night, assumed she was an Obama supporter as well as talk down to her (“Do your homework, son”). She provided you with a bit of edification and how you had things wrong.

Perhaps you should stop being so antagonistic, sit back and learn some things about the folks you seemingly enjoy attacking with your extemporaneous comments.

I’ve already explained to you my comment was about being silly, folks around here know me for my sense of humor. (We also know Obama isn’t nc’s “boy”).

As for insecure, I got a notification you left a comment, I read it, rolled my eyes at your denseness and gave it a down vote. It would seem the one who is insecure is the “someone” who came back to check on a voting status for their comment considering receiving a vote, up or down, doesn’t initiate a notification.

I’m not at all impressed with how antagonistic and full-of-yourself you’ve been since your recent arrival. In fact, you’re boring. I won’t be reading any more of your replies to any of my comments, you’re not here for the same reasons the rest of us are. Enjoy.

          • HWarrior13

Wow, that was a long comment, really couldn’t be bothered to read it all, as what I did read was rather nonsensical…but I did get to the bit where you ADMITTED that checked out my other comments that don’t concern you.

You seem to be stocking/a tad obsessed with me, no?
It’s apparent that you need a great of validation, from me, from politicians you don’t know, etc.

A little self reflection and perhaps a seminar in self esteem might be in order? Best of luck to you, dear. And I’ll look forward to reading more of your proud announcements about how many other “famous” people are following you 😉

The only photo of Obama from college is him smoking a joint.

    • Guest

Would like to see Cruz release his records so O would release his.

      • TJ

It does not matter now if Obama released his college records. One would hope they show up at his presidential library. Ted Curz’s would already have be “leaked” if they could be useful to attack him. Can’t help attack him so they will not be “found”

        • Michelle ✓classified

Mmm, we’ll find out years from now that Obama was an average student at best, and I’m being generous.

          • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈwhitey

Don’t forget, by his own admission, he never got past 7th grade math.

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Right. It cut into his Advanced Coloring class.

      • Michelle ✓classified

Obama wouldn’t release his just because Cruz did it, they aren’t running against each other for anything.

  • Dirtt

Ted Cruz took the baton from Andrew Breitbart and SHOVED IT DOWN THEIR THROATS.

Memo to the DNC, OFA et al & the GOP Establishment, World Class POS Rove (Preibus too) et al: CHOKE ON IT.

After “Three Cheers For RomneyCare” I thought I swore off Ann Coulter for good. I’d like to think the rehab was more than money. Savvy is good. Greedy sucks.

Our younger kick arse rebel-yell hosting The Dana Show keeps the reminder on the front burner: Ted Cruz is still a politician. But -for now – he’s our politician.

If Goldman Sachs has this dude too then the future is not only ugly but its going to be seriously violent too. No winners.

    • GrindingMills

You lost me at Goldman Sachs.

      • nc ✓s & balances

Mrs. Cruz works for Goldman Sachs, but beyond that, I’m lost like you.

        • beebop1952

I guess she was supposed to stay home and waste her education?

        • GrindingMills

I don’t understand if he’s talking about some Alex Jonese-esque NWO conspiracy, where Cruz is a plant. I have no clue.

          • nc ✓s & balances

Can you ever imagine any situation where Cruz would be a “plant?” Ha ha!

          • GrindingMills

I’ll put it together for the Alex Jones-ites: Cruz is chosen at Harvard by George Soros after being noticed by Alan Dershowitz. Cruz is helped by the elites to clerk at the Supreme Court and is escorted into the political class via the Bush/Cheaney administration. He then meets his wife, an executive at Goldman Sachs, and her “job” from the NWO is to control him via sex and condition him to perform tasks on behalf of the globalists. He is then sent back to Texas to build a “populist” platform and glombs onto the Tea Party, where he rides a wave of support to congress. This wouldn’t be possible of course if the establishment didn’t stop their support from Dewhurst. Ted is going to continue to rise to prominence and get elected as the anti-Obama, but when he steps into the White House, he will flip and finally enact the plan of the NWO that was started by Obama.

            And that’s a conspiracy folks.

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

It’s not a real conspiracy until the Fnord Motor Company is invoked.

          • nc ✓s & balances

OK GM, now you’ve done it. Some libbie nut is going to lurk on this thread and report back to Huff or Kos that they found the REAL story on Cruz, straight from the mouths of the RWNJs. A new talking point is born! Thanks a lot!

(ps: very creative, are you a professional writer?)

          • GrindingMills

I basically appropriated from Obama conspiracy theories. (Full disclosure, I think Obama is a horrible President, but I don’t think he’s some sort of Muslim/Communist/Marxist plant. If he were a plant, he wouldn’t have been so obvious about it until he was elected.)

          • nc ✓s & balances

Logically I agree with you, but then again, nothing about BHO and how he’s ruling makes any sense.

  • JJHLH

Fascinating to see pictures of a future president during his youth.

More proof that Cruz was in Harvard than Obama’s ever provided.

Maybe, Carson would definitely be hard to touch, but I wonder if he’s willing to take that heat? As Surgeon General he’d be able to have great influence over healthcare policy.

Wow… yearbooks photos. That’s so vital to…to… what next his baby photos? (Call up his mom for that. Mom’s always keep the embarrassing ones stashed away — ready to be displayed to a “date”).

Then his crayon drawings from kindergarten. Ooh imagine the headline “Future outcast kindergartner becomes Tea Party Hero”

    It would read:

Ted Cruz at five displayed his arrogance by not sharing his red crayon. This shows that even at this stage he was not a team player. Even though it made Annie Sue cry, he wouldn’t compromise by giving in to all her demands….

  • http://healthcare.gov/ Scot Harvath

Does Odungacare include free diapers? Liberals already need them desperately over Ted Cruz and will even more so as 2016 approaches.
