I was so obsessed with Crime Story and just loved him in that role. Have the series on DVD and rewatched it a couple of years ago. RIP Torello

Sad face. I loved him in Get Shorty: “i.e., e.g., f*ck you”. Will miss him along with James Gandolfini. :(

He would go the deli in New Buffalo, MI from time to time. My wife said he was the nicest person.

The world is a bit less colorful with the passing of Mr. Farina.

Been a fan since his role as Robert Prosky’s bodyguard, Carl in ‘Thief’.

Absolutely rocked his role as Lt. Mike Torrello in Michael Mann’s ‘Crime Story’. Which gave young Gary Sinise time acting in front of and directing behind the camera on a few episodes.

Appreciated him even more as Jack Crawford in ‘Manhunter’. A role that Harvey Keitel came nowhere close to duplicating in its carbon copy remake, ‘Red Dragon’.

    Best Dennis Farina line:

    Customs Agent: “Anything to declare?”

Dennis Farina: “Yeah. Don’t go to England”
