Harry Reid took to Twitter today and set himself up like a bowling pin with the above question, and Jonah Goldberg took advantage of the opportunity and rolled a perfect strike:

If the one-word response wasn’t detailed enough to satisfy the Senate Majority Leader, here’s a two-word answer:

We hope this helped answer Reid’s question.

  • Danny Wheeler

  • bkeyser

Goldberg’s not a fan of pederasts, apparently.

  • Richard J Sunkle

Hairy Roid is the primary problem.

  • OLLPOH ~ America

  • grais

So, when he tweeted these ‘ideas’ earlier, they weren’t even his own?
Or is he now pretending that “many of you” came up with that nonsense?

And if his efforts are truly directed at saving the Senate from becoming obsolete, why doesn’t he go back home and get a real job?

  • DrBubba

I would say it in two words. ‘LIBERAL INSANITY’

  • R0nin

No, in fact, “gridlock” is the only thing _right_ with the Senate at the moment. It’s the only thing keeping Harry and his minions from having their way with our country.

    • camnpat

Exactly. Gridlock is probably the only thing Congress still does according to the original design for that body. Unless there is massive consensus no new law should pass.

    • aposematic

      Slowing, not keeping.

  • Marcy Cook

I love gridlock. It’s what is helping us to keep what is left of our country from being taken over by creepy ass crackas like you Harry.

    • Jay Stevens

A gridlocked Senate also would not have confirmed Holder.

  • RblDiver

What’s wrong with the Senate (and Washington at large)? Politicians.

  • ObamaFail

Reid is the king of causing gridlock. It’s only when things the Democrats want just to get cheap votes and to screw us over get delayed do they whine about gridlock.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    REALLY BRIGHT< "Dingy Harry!"
Gridlock and not doing anything are…(wait for it..)….THE SAME THING!
    Jawamax 8<{D}

  • Gary Christensen

Gotta love Conservative Americans responses to stupid Pols – Quick witted and on target. The only problem with the Senate, Mr. Reid…Democrats!

  • Norman Balint

Better to do nothing then something that will further damage the country. I’ll take gridlock over passing more liberal policies.

  • Calcat36

Money Quotes: “Tomorrow, the United States Senate will face a [sic] historic vote on whether to do away with a critical Check in our government of Checks and
    Balances – a Senator’s right to filibuster.”

AND: “Today, Senate Democrats represent the last check on President Bush’s power.

Republicans want to eliminate this check and give President Bush power no president has ever had — the ability to hand out lifetime federal judgeships without consensus from the other party.”

For the full hypocrisy and for a great laugh, read it all here.

    • Jay Stevens

Until the republicans gain control of the Senate, then it will be something like, “This is not what we had in mind.”

  • Calcat36

Check this FAT HEAD out and his illogical logic and reasoning:

  • Zorro

He’s just another “tool” for union thugs.

  • Calcat36
  • Mark James

What good is it to “get stuff done” when the “stuff” is crap like Obamacare? Gridlock is good. The less these pricks do, the better off we all are.

    • mharper42

      Like up-arrow X 1000 !!!

  • KansasGirl

    Repeal the 17th amendment.
That will make the Senate perform as was initially intended.
If America can overturn prohibition (with out any judicial activism), we can do the same concerning “elected” Senators.
It’s time they stay in their districts and serve at the pleasure of our duly elected House Representatives.

    • Zathras11 @B5

Correct. They were not supposed to be elected, but rather appointed by the Governor of their State as ambassadors to the federal government to TRULY look out for the interests of their STATE. This is clearly not happening.

  • lainer51

    4. Slobbering, drooling, blubbering water-carriers.

  • Ignatz Holstein

We have the kind of government we have because we keep electing and re-electing these Loony Liberal Sleeveballs like Harry Reed

  • Mark_Krieg

Reid is a legend in his own mind.
    He’s just another Washington assclown

  • Jimmy Jr.

Democrats had full control of Washington for two years after Obama got elected and they still couldn’t get anything accomplished.

    • Citizenright

They accomplished the “Affordable Care Act” which will destroy the health insurance industry, diminish the health care delivery industry, result in more unemployment, higher costs for coverage and generally shrink 1/6th of our economy. I wouldn’t say they couldn’t get anything accomplished.

    • ToyZebra

They accomplished major pork barrel spending, I mean the stimulus.

  • Marvin Nelson

Guess he doesn’t realize that his two choices are really the same, but he’s not capable of that level of logic. I cannot understand why the people of Nevada continue to send this moron back to Washington. He must really be bringing the goodies to Vegas.

  • David Lurie

    Harry Reid must go!!

  • http://batman-news.com BIGJIMSELF

  • Mark S

    Year #5. Still no budget.

  • Masmani

He seeks to tip the balance of power even further.

Let’s dethrone his ass in 2014 and kick it out of office in 2016.

  • Know Really

    Jonah: awesome dude.

  • Jeremy

    Dingy Harry.

  • Timothy Kennedy

The problem with the Senate is…the Senators…Harry on the top of the list…but you can add another 95 to that very toxic list.

  • Chris Leete

The day the Senate agrees on everything is the day they finish abolishing the rest of our liberties.

  • John Johnson

The problem with The Senate is the 17th Amendment. Let’s repeal it.

  • tops116

Here’s something else that’s wrong with the Senate: a lack of term limits. Think Harry wants to deal with that? Yeah, that’s I thought. “No Congressional term limits” is the only truly bi-partisan issue.

  • neoface

Harry Reid needs a term limit!!! Of course no one in congress would vote for that, they all won the lottery will died on the job. What is not fun about collecting paycheck, having power, privileges, prestige and not have to do work?

  • jebjr

This old codger needs to go. Unfortunately, the majority of NV voters just re-elected this idiot a year and a half ago because the casino unions have him in their pocket. Blame them.
