We couldn’t have said it better!

With Anthony Weiner already running for mayor of New York City, you might be thinking that Big Apple politics couldn’t possibly get any classier. But think again:

Spitzer resigned as New York’s governor in 2008 after a prostitution scandal, and now it appears that Client Number Nine’s comeback has begun with a new Twitter account.

But wait, it gets better:

But the debate should … be … awesome!

Behold the power of Spitzer:

Jeff Greenfield and Jonah Goldberg point out who benefits the most from the current New York City political scene:

    It’s easy money. Work hard now for election, roll in dough payoff. These guys are crooked as they come. The NSA and other scandals have lifted the veil of illusion on the entire political world.

  • waltermitty2012

    Just imagine the headlines these two can generate. “New Poll Shows Spitzer Back On Top.”

    you know, after NYC voters had God only knows how may years of Bloomingdales, er, Bloomberg, they freaking deserve these two guys.

  • John

    In most parts of the country, I would think that anyone who fails the “arrogant prick” test would be politically dead, but perhaps that doesn’t apply to NY. I wonder what that says about the voters…

    (“arrogant prick” test: “was he an arrogant prick while in office?”)

    • GaryTheBrave

      Well, there IS Marion Barry in DC…

      • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

        And RAHM in Chicago… Jawamax 8<{D}

  • digitalPimple

    Anyone else waiting for the guy who had a “tickle fest” with his all male staff to make a come back in NY?

  • beebop1952

    Until I read Mark Steyn’s take on this I will have to content myself with wondering if this is what they truly mean by “double dipping ….”

  • Paul C.

    I guess NY loves perverts, now they have 2 running.

    • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

      A LOT MORE than that… Jawamax 8<{D}

  • The Penguin

    Out of all the possible candidates to run for head of the office that controls the city’s finances this is the guy? Is there a way to pry this city away from the rest of the state and push it out to see? smh…

    “Big Bounce for Former John and Weiner”?

  • What DoIKnow

    Politicians become politicians because they are narcissists who crave public approval. When they screw up, the only way they know how to recover their self worth is to get that public approval again. They need to know that “You still love me..you really love me!!!”
