That balancing act between the desire to “let Trump be Trump” and the wish that someone would just take away his phone can be exhausting to watch. The president managed to tip the scale for a lot of people Monday night when he indulged in a quick tweeting binge that first took aim at the House Intelligence Committee and then turned suddenly to the House Freedom Caucus.
Why isn't the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 28, 2017
…money to Bill, the Hillary Russian "reset," praise of Russia by Hillary, or Podesta Russian Company. Trump Russia story is a hoax. #MAGA!

The Republican House Freedom Caucus was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. After so many bad years they were ready for a win!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 28, 2017
The Democrats will make a deal with me on healthcare as soon as ObamaCare folds – not long. Do not worry, we are in very good shape!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 28, 2017
Is it OK if we worry a little bit? Maybe taking a jab at the House Freedom Caucus Monday night is a bold negotiating strategy that escapes us at the moment; as stomach-churning as it was to watch, at least Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s literal jump for joy over the pulling of the AHCA vote was timely. The thought of her doing it again after an aide reads her that last tweet … shudder.

So conservatives bad, Democrats worth cutting a deal. Got it. https://t.co/7l4hMfFnDV
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) March 28, 2017
In Crazyland, Dems are eager to cut a deal with a guy with a 9% favorable rating with their base, a 36% rating overall, and a GOP Congress.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) March 28, 2017
WIPING OUT YOUR BASE DEPT: It's suicidal to think @realDonaldTrump can win by allying with Democrats against conservative Republicans

Trump initially blamed Ds for health care failure – now going after his own party, ratcheting up intraparty feud. https://t.co/6mzrKsv0xa
— Manu Raju (@mkraju) March 28, 2017
Last week you blamed the Democrats. Which is it? Make up your mind.
— Tina Jordan (@TinaJordanNYT) March 28, 2017
The @GOP leader criticizes members of his party, huh? #justsaying

Seriously? You know I support you. The House @freedomcaucus represents WE THE PEOPLE, most of whom voted you in. STOP.

I voted for you, want you to succeed but blaming #FreedomCaucus for you & Ryan crap bill? That's low. #FullRepeal

If they were ready for a win and they refused your bill, they must have not seen it as a win.

So now what??? https://t.co/OynXPvSuLm

Horrible bill would bankrupt insurance companies faster and imploded sooner than ACA. Straight repeal only way forward.
— Spiraling To Dystopia (@aikiboy2k) March 28, 2017
then allow insurance sales across state lines, HSAs. Allow Drs and hospitals deduct pro bono health care from taxes.

Setting aside the moral problems, it is not politically astute to act like Obamacare "implosion" is just deserts/leverage rather than pain.
