In not much of a surprise, the Associated Press is projecting that Donald Trump will easily take the winner-take-all state of Arizona, with nearly half of the votes counted and Trump hovering around 45 percent, compared to Ted Cruz at 20 percent. Hillary Clinton is currently crushing Bernie Sanders with 60 percent of the Democratic vote.
But the biggest boos of the night so far at @BernieSanders rally come when @CNN projects Trump winner of Arizona. #WesternTuesday

When Donald Trump's victory in AZ is announced over loudspeakers at Bernie Sanders HQ, dozens of people in crowd flash the bird at the TV

Sanders voters: We lost! We lost! It feels so good to be alive
Clinton voters: We won … meh

CNN projects @realDonaldTrump wins Arizona. 58 more delegates for the frontrunner.

CNN projects Clinton wins AZ primary. Time to stop pretending this is still a race…

Some are theorizing that early voting in Arizona cost Cruz in a big way, with many citizens casting their ballot for Marco Rubio, who suspended his campaign after losing his home state of Florida to Trump.
Wow. Ted Cruz may be wishing AZ didn't have early vote. Tons of Rubio voters cast ballots before Rubio exit, costing Cruz HUGE.

So basically if you voted today in Arizona, your vote didn't count. Called on early votes.
— Dan McLaughlin (@baseballcrank) March 23, 2016
Even more futile: there are still people waiting in line to vote in Arizona, as long lines have forced some polling places to remain open late to meet the demand.
AZ votes so far for Ted Cruz: 53,149. AZ votes so far for candidates who have already dropped out: 61,736. Ouch!

Case against weeks-long early voting. Designate one weekend of early voting before Tuesday election. https://t.co/E1mHuWgm0T

Ha. Marco Rubio is currently getting 17% of the vote in AZ. This is why you should never vote early!
— Mike Flynn (@Flynn1776) March 23, 2016
Arizona Results: Trump 47%, Cruz 21%, Rubio 17%, Kasich 10%. Thanks, Marco. Thanks, John. #ego
