Donald Trump’s 9 p.m. press conference finally got underway about 9:30, and the rumored endorsement by Florida Gov. Rick Scott didn’t materialize. Trump supporters weren’t cheated out of a governor, though, as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who recently endorsed Trump, introduced him as the next president of the United States.
As it turns out, Trump’s press conference didn’t feature any announcements; instead, it was simply his replacement for a victory speech. And aside from that brief introduction, Christie stayed out of the spotlight, looking like a vice president — a nervous vice president.
