Michigan mom and leukemia patient Julie Boonstra already had her run-in with the tolerant Left. Boonstra, who filmed an ad about her struggles with Obamacare for Americans for Prosperity, was targeted by Michigan Rep. Gary Peters, who threatened to sue her into silence.

That wasn’t the end of the attacks, however. Slade O’Brien, southern regional director for AFP, shared this letter sent anonymously to Boostra.

Is it a fake?

Remember the Madison protests, the letter sent to Scott Walker detailing how not only the way he should be killed, but his wife and kids too as an example to all who oppose the lunatic left?

The Wisconsin state police tracked it to a woman, teacher, union hack, the last two words negating the first two. Her socialist politics gave her the mental license to commit an act of political terrorism, … and make excuses for it when caught..

no major player on the left apologized for calling it a fake before she was caught, and none ever will. Itt’s never about the truth, just about what they can get away with.

      • http://theobservatorium.blogspot.com/ Nate

Certainly seems a meatless diet makes ya cranky and out of sorts.

      • Ronald McVay

I’m a vegetarian that just happens to be conservative. I really wish people would quit stereo typing. There are actually a lot of conservative vegetarians. I served 10 years in the National Guard, 8 were active duty (AGR). I hunt & fish giving the meat to my family that are not vegetarias. We are not all the same just like everyone who eats meat are not the same.

        • Don Marshall Jr.

Stereotyping seems to be the thing the left and right have in common. If you believe this you must believe that or if you do this you must do that. Etc. A sad commentary on today’s society.

          • Goldfinger

            Well said!

        • fivegreatkids

I’m a conservative who doesn’t care much for meat anymore. My friend is a vegan for health reasons and is extremely conservative. I have to agree with Ron- that is not one to stereotype on. I try to take care of mother nature too – figure if God made it for me the least I can do is take care of it. Not wacko about it but try to do my best to show my gratitude to Him.

        • Donna Mayer

Spot on Ron. I’m a chick on the right and have been vegetarian for 20 years and vegan for 5. Its a wonderful , healthy lifestyle and I’m never cranky. It would b awfully boring if we were all the same carnivores wouldn’t it? 😉

      • Goldfinger

I don’t know where you got your information, but you need to know what you are talking about before blathering crap in a post. Fool

Disgusting and sad but not surprising. If you can rationalize killing a baby before birth (and sometimes after, see http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/post/after-birth-abortion-can-they-be-serious/2012/03/03/gIQADgiOsR_blog.html) I think you can rationalize and accept anything.

    • backell

It’s truly sad that a) You assume someone from the “left” wrote this, b) that it represents the views of the entire left and c) that everyone on the left endorses this.
This a giant fallacy. ONE PERSON writes a hateful letter, and you want to ascribe that position to over half the country?

      • dwsmokin

Perhaps, yet it seems this vitriol seems to come from that general direction. It also seems that every time some right wing Klan nut posts something, all of us on the right are indicted. So, what’s your point?

        • backell

why does it “seem to come from that general direction? And, when everyone on the right is accused of having the same extreme view, it’s wrong. I don’t do it.

My point being: If you think that’s wrong to take one extreme view and ascribe it to an entire half of the population, don’t do it. I don’t do it.

In fact, when I see left-leaning blogs do it, I call them out too.

If you go by the classic definition of liberal, as Ben Franklin would have known it. A great many on the political right today fit that description, while virtually none on the left do.

liberal has been hijacked by so many twisted ideologues to camouflage their true intent, it has no fixed meaning anymore beyond statist leftist… in the beginning it wasn’t a left right thing, but just about being open minded..

Progressives… “liberals”.. authoritarian, left wing reactionaries, radical liberationists,. What we call them shifts as they change yet another words meaning so they can hide behind it, the fight remains the same..

Those who believe the greatest good is accomplished by protecting the rights of the individual against the slavering mob.

and those who believe in the supreme right of a mob to force it’s will on the individual, his property, his family.. as long as they control that particular mob.

No other place on earth was dedicated to protecting the one against the many before us, or since our founding. We are unique, singular……. and the left would destroy that.

          • Thale Taxurfeet

“If you go by the classic definition of liberal, as Ben Franklin would have known it. A great many on the political right today fit that description, while virtually none on the left do.”

            Absolutely spot on…

A while back, I conversed with someone on the Intertubes regarding their use of the term Liberal and why I will not use the label of Liberalism when talking about Leftist, or those who wallow within the Socialist to Communist spectrum of beliefs.

          • nolongersilent

You are so right! Thanks for posting it so eloquently!

          • H50 ✓RAT

Agree, thats why I make a point to call them what they are; progs.
I know several liberals (old party democrats) that I can have a pleasant, civil debate with, I know no progs whom I can have a civil, let alone pleasant debate with. It almost always ends with a prog reminding me that ‘we’ cant move forward until all the folks of my ilk die. Given that line of thought, a repeat of the final solution is not so conspiracy theory-ish any more.

        • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

I guess they find it easy to wish death/make threats/stalk you if they refuse to acknowledge we’re even human to start with. Name a liberal progressive you ever met who didn’t make political differences highly personal, take opposition to their politics as a personal insult. When they make their self respect not about who they are, what they accomplish….. but about what they feel, what they want to do…. it becomes impossible to even talk rationally with them.

“Don’t you understand? I’m ending poverty and racism.”

That it is one of our goals too… they cannot accept because .. duh… they’re doing it, and we’re stopping them… the idea, their methods are barbaric, their tactics vile and contemptible, doesn’t register since they have already decided that only they are working to do good… best way to illustrate the point..

“I’m ending poverty,…… by home invading anyone worth over a million bucks (except our millionares), stealing and selling their stuff… and shooting them all. Including their kids and pets as an example to those greedy tea-billies.”

          You’re insane and a criminal… you need locked up…

“Clearly since you oppose my methods, you also oppose my goals.. tea-billy…. ANY method I choose is good…..you just hate the poor and black people”…

The example is extreme, not their logic.. that they all use… To oppose them, is to hate everyone and everything, by their personal definition. They don’t accept any other possible defintion, because they are not open minded people, classical liberalism was murdered the day universities decided Marx was worthy of study, and not repudiation.

          • Ty in TX ✓ᵇᵒⁿᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

      • Ty in TX ✓ᵇᵒⁿᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

        Ok….two things.

        1. I’m not to convinced that it’s illegal to not have a return address, unwise maybe, but not illegal.

        2. As this past week has demonstrated, progressives and Democrats never commit crimes. Yeah, that was sarcasm.

        • MrSnuggles2k2

I have sent stuff no return address on accident, its definitely not illegal.

        • Michael L Clark

Well if you research it, you will find 5 out of 6 inmates would vote democrat if they could. They voted democrat before being committed. Loose morals would be to blame. They earned the title liberals because they give away morals freely. Anything to justify what they want or think they need. They accuse conservatives of being evil and bad, but they think the same as an inmate does. Give me, Give me, Give me. If I had common sense, it would tell me not to share the common traits of a prisoner. Oh wait I do have common sense. Instead of all the programs to keep the poor alive, here’s an idea, let’s spend some of that money to educate them to be productive. Then if they refuse to find work, If health permits, refuse to feed them. Nothing that hard about it.

          • backell

That’s the stupidest argument in history. If you research “Post hoc, ergo propter hoc” you’ll find out why.

      • nolongersilent

      • GaylePutt

Since when is it illegal not to have a return address?? Never heard that before!

        • D S Dunlap

As others have stated, it is NOT illegal to send letters without a return address. All it means is that the Postal Service cannot return the letter to sender if there is no return address.

http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=674630 is a thread that discuses the very issue.

          • SuddenSam981

… or … as in this case… it makes it where the sender cannot be identified through an address search…

          • D S Dunlap

Go to O’Brian’s profile…there is another that says it’s fake because

Yes, Virginia, they really are that stupid.

        • SuddenSam981

I get the same mail Spiny… but on another little off topic thing here, I take that junk mail, remove anything with my name and address on it, and stuff it back in their prepaid return envelopes. Maybe if everyone did this their return postage fees would make them reconsider blanket mail outs.

      • davidr2007

True that they will not accept the letter if you walk it in to buy a stamp but if you drop it off in a mailbox they will send it to the address.

      • Alabama Mike

No it’s not illegal to send a letter without a return address.

    • backell

So why do you assume it’s a “liberal?” How do you know this “letter” is genuine? How do you know that it’s not written by a conservative trying to scapegoat liberals? Why do you want to smear the entire left with one hateful letter?

And YOU want to use the word TROLL?!?!?

My trollish little friend, your making baseless accusations doesn’t require me to prove them wrong. It merely requires that I prove them FALLACIOUS. And since you can’t substantiate your argument, you are wrong.

That’s how logic works. Of course, if your ilk were more familiar with logic, you would be liberals.

If a Tea Party activist had sent something like this to an Obamacare supporter, it would be on the front page of the New York Times tomorrow, and get wall-to-wall coverage on the MSM news channels. Then Obama would give some remarks, and direct the FBI to investigate the person who sent it. George Bush, Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin got together and wrote it. No better yet, it was the Koch Brothers.

      • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

It’s easier for Matt to sleep at night if he pretends that were true. It’s a lot harder touting your side as the loving, peaceful side when members of your side are sending “I HOPE YOU DIE” letters to people.

          • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

It’s amazing that libs have such hatred for the Koch Bros. when they are #59 on the top 100 donor list, with Democrat donors pulling in the first 58 spots.

And I don’t see Matt complaining when OFA gets caught in lies.

The same could be said for Soros, and he’s already higher on the list than the Koch brothers and far wealthier. Oh and isn’t Soros wanted in like 7 countries? Surely he wouldn’t know how to circumvent any laws.

          • mike_in_kosovo

            Sorry, Joe…that’s incorrect.

      • Jan

I don’t know. The writing looks child like to me. Maybe the author didn’t even graduate from high school. Some are debating about whether a Democrat or Republican wrote it, but it doesn’t matter. It is a disgusting thing to send anyone.

Have you seen how doctors fill out prescriptions? Chicken scratch that is nearly impossible to read.

I know a lot of adults who have chicken scratch handwriting.

          • Jan

This is not of the chicken scratch variety. I’ve never seen a doctor’s handwriting like that. Their handwriting is often illegible because they’re in a hurry. Note how the author strings together, “Signed a concerned….” Who would write like that!

          • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

My mom used to sign things “A Concerned Parent” when sending letters to my school when I was a kid.

Not out of the realm of the possible, just all the hate notes lately have been proven to be fakes.
Though…come to think of it, they have all been faked by Leftists…so, yea, maybe this is real.

    • H50 ✓RAT

Well its anonymous and there was already a prog on OBs timeline saying that if it didnt have a return address the post office wouldnt process it without one (wrong) and another claiming that because the post mark stamp was unreadable it obviously was a fake (wrong).
Judging by their immediate need to disprove or belittle the claim, Im guessing they believe a prog sent it too.

  • Garrett Gripling

You have to be careful in assuming its origin. This is similar to Sarah Palin haters jumping on any quote tied to her, even when they are invented as part of a satirical new website. The person that wrote it has serious issues and should seek some sort of help.

Many years ago, I bought a booklet on handwriting analysis. I was mentioning to my fellow carpool riders about it, and they tested me by bringing me samples of handwriting of their co-workers whom I had never met. I accepted the challenge for the fun of it, and each person said I got them all right–the office mouse, someone who could be ill tempered & bitter, etc. One person’s jaw dropped as I told her about each person in her office. Handwriting is interesting to me, and I often form on opinion on the writer. I say this handwriting is from someone who isn’t all that educated. I think it’s a “she,” and there is a misspelled word. Since it isn’t typed, it’s probably not a mistake. If I had a doctor who wrote like this, I question if s/he is a quack.

    Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Star of anti-Obamacare ad refuses to accept proof that ACA will save her money

Whereas Boonstra’s old plan cost $1,100 per month, it did not include any out-of-pocket expenses, co-pays, or prescription coverage. The News said:

Boonstra said Monday her new plan she dislikes is the Blue Cross Premier Gold health care plan, which caps patient responsibility for out-of-pocket costs at $5,100 a year, lower than the federal law’s maximum of $6,350 a year. It means the new plan will save her at least $1,200 compared with her former insurance plan she preferred that was ended under Obamacare’s coverage requirements.

A representative of Blue Cross Blue Shield expressed concern to the paper that Boonstra doesn’t understand her new options as a cancer survivor under the ACA.

“We are here to help people like Ms. Boonstra to work their way through adjusting to the health plans we are now offering them,” said Blue Cross spokesperson Andy Hetzel. “If there are questions…they should call.”

  • Hank_Scorpio

Too bad that POS didn’t leave a return address….

    • bicentennialguy

Typical coward move. Their internet must have been down that day, so they had to convey their hate the old-fashioned way.

      • Hank_Scorpio

        I’m surprised it wasn’t written in crayon….

  • jim

Sadly, if she had been a liberal supporting Obamacare and received a similar letter, we would be finding out the next day that it was all fake and staged. But do to the militant nature of the left, that most likely will not be happening.

  • Asillem4

There are crazies all over the political spectrum. This is AWFUL, but honestly – not really unique.

  • Roy

I see the person who send it has the same backbone as that loser Obama.

  • William556

Just goes to show: without hatred (and envy, laziness and ignorance) the Left would not exist.

  • Richard J Sunkle

The left are scum but at least I take consolation in the fact that I get this Michigan Specific anti Obamacare ad on the twitchy page.

  • jr565

Let’s hope the person writing that doesn’t themselves develop cancer. If they do, I hope they don’t beleive in karma.

  • Amy

the letter is shameful and cowardly, but since there is no way to know who sent it, we shouldn’t do what others do all the time and make whoever wrote it a poster boy for someone or some organization we disagree with, without more information. There is enough crazy out there to go around.

  • AZWarrior

Ah the left – no class and no character.

    • Diggur

This kind of a post is exactly what we don’t like as Conservatives. Saying Liberals should be spayed and neutered just makes us as bad as we’re accusing them of being. We need to keep the rhetoric on a sane level or we’re all going to descend into anarchy.

      • AZWarrior

The difference my friend, is that to us it is just biting humor – to the left it is a wet dream.

        • Diggur

I agree with you, but they can still point at it and claim that we’re just as bad as they are. We need to set an example and keep it classy.

    • journogal

From the Internet would be the first guess. You can track people down, it is quite easy.

  • TimSPC

As a member of the liberal community, I wholeheartedly apologize to Ms. Boonstra. This type of language has no business in civil discourse.

Furthermore, all this serves to do is distract from the misleading ads produced by AFP and starring Boonstra that have been given three Pinocchios by the Washington Post fact checker.

    • Tanker74

You apologized, and then lied about the ads. Typical.

    • jaydee007

Typical of the left; I’m sorry you’re a liar!
      Great Apology!
Now go back and crawl under your rock!

    • Evil Otto

Your apology is a meaningless throat-clearing. You don’t mean it, you’re just getting it out of the way so you can pretend to be a caring lefty before going off-topic.

    • jeanbean14

It’s not the language that’s offensive, it’s the hatred and the death wish that’s offensive.
Also offensive is your lie about the AFP ads, your blind devotion to the ACA that is ruining our economy and our medical system, and the garbage produced by the Washington Post fact checker.
You are being fed propaganda and you believe it all. When facts are presented, you call them misleading. When will you check some facts for yourself?

As a member of the “liberal Community” how does it feel to know that your party voted God OUT of their platform three times. I guess it had to do that because all their programs go against God! ‘Thou shall NOT COVET another persons things, your party says SPREAD THE WEALTH.’

    (Matthew 24:10-13)

I find it interesting that people accuse her of faking the letter or sending it to herself. I have to tell you about a note that I got the other day on my work vehicle. I am a Deputy Coroner in far northern Wyoming. We do not have a Medical Examiner in this area, so our autopsies have to be taken to Billings, Montana, which is about 100 miles away. I drove the unmarked Coroner’s Suburban, which has county plates, up to Billings for the autopsy, and on my way back I stopped at Costco for some office supplies. We don’t have a Costco here, either, and shopping there for our supplies saves the county money. Anyway, when I came out of Costco, this note was on my windshield:
Hey as__h_le government Republican. How dare you f___ers drive a county vehicle to Billings just to go to Costco! You don’t care who’s (sic) money you waste. You f___er “conservatives” should be taken out and shot with your own guns. Signed a Concerned Citizen Of This Country. (Expletives deleted by me.)
This person had no idea who I am, knew nothing about my political affiliation, had no idea why I was there, and had no idea that there was an autopsied body in the back of the Suburban, yet he/she felt that he/she was entitled to threaten my life. Why?
This is the atmosphere which now prevails in our country.

    • jaydee007

Well, when you know that the MAJORITY of Hate Crimes against the left have been proven Hoaxes, it shows how their minds run.

      • Jeffrey Lamela

It’s not just how their minds run. They have to support their narrative that this is a racist country (with of course the racists being white Republicans) and since there is no longer much evidence to show that, they need to make it up.

    • jeanbean14

I’m sorry this happened to you. It is mind-boggling how much hatred is coming at decent people from mindless liberals. It seems as if the left has sucked up all the people who enjoy hating others and spreading misery and abuse wherever they can. It’s really sick.

      • Diggur

Thank you, you’re very kind, but it didn’t hurt me personally like this awful letter to the poor woman who is fighting cancer. I was just bemused by it, and amazed that someone could not only make the assumption that I had no official reason to be in Montana, but could also decide that I was a conservative just by seeing my work vehicle. What scares me is that our country is becoming so very divided. We are playing into the hands of the government. They know that it easier to conquer a divided people.

  • icy69hot

Consider this a death threat and finger print the letter and have it researched, after all you already know what location the letter came from. So go get the clown and it might teach a lesson to the entire clan of idiots not to use this type of hate speech towards others or they will face the law. The only reason no one has gone after these people before is because hide behind the 1st Amendment but since the left always tries to trash it give them a taste of their own medicine.

  • Jason Gary

When the left says, “tolerance” and “love,” they mean for themselves.

    • dareisay

      And illegal invaders!

  • Candy Sebring

I have been guilty of wishing death upon people from the left, however, I focus my anger towards the politicians who are absolutely destroying and dismantling this country…. NOT innocent Americans who are defenseless against the tyranny of this administration. The audacity behind this is BEYOND appalling.

  • Sarandipity44

I think Crap Detector needs to look inward.

  • dareisay

I am so ashamed of what these lefties do and say, whatever happened to self-respect and respect for others?

    • jaydee007

A Liberal is an American who has a belief system as to how our constitutional republic should be run.
A Leftist is an Anti-American with an agenda to which they will subordinate Anything and Everything.
The trouble is Liberals are unable to distinguish between their own and Leftists, so the Leftists have completely infiltrated the Liberal Wing of the Democrat Party.
      — David Horowitz

I really haven’t heard of any conservaties ,pulling hoaxes lately. Just liberals.Crap detector, look to yourself.

Degenerating America. This country has been heading in the wrong direction since we turned to the politics of political correctness. The plunge is now progressing exponentially, with the people who scream most for others to prescribe to *correct* behavior being the absolute worst offenders. This American experiment is turning into a disaster.

  • Linda

I’ve looked at the above twice and cannot see anything that indicates someone from the left sent it. Why do people want to fuel an already hostile situation.

    • truckee22

Really? Does someone have to draw you a map?

    • Cornelius Van Huff

just ask yourself; who would be angry about what she is saying? who is she making look bad? has someone recently been threatening her with legal action?
      basically, cui bono?

    • Indynana

Are you really that devoted to the left ? Can you really NOT read between the lines? Do you NOT understand the hate liberals all have for ANYONE that is not a liberal? Have you EVER read a republican that would say such things? BE HONEST – if with no one but your self – Just be honest. The real hate comes from the left –

      • Melissa Cohagen

You need to be honest. There is hate on BOTH sides. And yes I have read such a thing by Republicans. It is funny how we could use the same comment you made and replace the words Conservative and Republican. What everyone needs to realize is extremists on both sides are the problem and stop generalizing.

        • Indynana

For your information – I do hate – like I have NEVER hated before – but not the idiot voters that put this trash into office – The people I know HATE what is happening to America! We HATE the fact that the government is getting too big and out of control. We HATE that we are going into debt at an astounding and unsustainable rate and the POS family in the white house just keeps on squandering OUR dollars on vacations! We HATE that our president does not love this country and that he is a childish, snarky flaming racist~! AND A LIAR !
YES , we HATE! We hate this ba$tard POS you idiots elected . we don’t hate you though , WE PITY YOU..

    • ohspareme

Past behavior is a good indicator of future behavior? Sorry, but WHY would someone on the Right send it? We, unlike the Left, wanted NO part of Obamacare! We KNEW it was NOT going to be what it was sold to us as.

    • journogal

As I posted above, given the left’s reactions to those that disagree with their line of thought and wishing death upon Palin, Bush, Romney and others, they established quite a precedent. Do you not recall threats received by Scott Walker and his family? Those come from the left.

      • Linda

There are mentally sick people out there who could be responsible, regardless of their politics. Regarding “quite a precedent,” does that justify jumping to the conclusion? No, it only goes to churn things up. That’ is one of the major problems we have today: the right vs left. Besides, posting such comments does absolutely nothing, does it now? What will all the hatred actually accomplish. In addition, you cannot be so naive to believe that Democratic politicians haven’t had death wishes, especially our president.

        • QueenB

So your defense is other people have done it too, so hey, what’s the big deal.

          • Linda

You actually interpreted what I said to mean that? I was just saying that the previous commenter made it sound like only the left does this sort of thing. Your bias is showing in your response. I’ve read the other comments here and people have scoffed that the AFP might have planted it, but that’s not absurd. It’s also not absurd that a right-winger couldn’t have done. Earlier in the year, the Congressional Republicans were receiving threats and because the threats were coming through highly protected email accounts they figured it had to be a Republican.

  • Guest

The word of the living God tells us that in the last days – there will be much hate..

    2 Timothy 3:2-4
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control,** brutal,** despisers of good, ** 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Doesn’t this just sound like the political party that voted God OUT of their platform three times!

  • RJohnston

If you start with the fact that the left is mentally ill..this makes sense, as does the comment below from the medical examiner. A leftist is a potential killer and should be viewed as such for your own safety. The Democrat party is the party of death and they will accelerate their demonic quest while they think they are in power.

  • Indynana

The Liberals – The GODLESS party ….

  • Tom Glaviano

    The left is SO compassionate!

  • Kinsey

It’s funny to me that one person actually claimed it was conservative. Liberals do this kind of thing all the time (send themselves letters, write racist comments then claim it was someone else) but spend a few hours online and you’ll quickly discover, liberals are exactly like this person who sent the hateful letter. I’ve seen tons of hateful and unbelievably cruel comments by liberals with some personally attacking me for simply disagreeing with them. The left is FILLED with people like this…remember the “professor” who assaulted the 16 year old for carrying a poster? Yeah, this is not news to those of us who are fully aware of just how hateful and intolerant the left is.

  • dba_vagabond_trader

Meet the “people” who will be sitting on death panels.

  • brbroberts

Where’s the proof that this unsigned letter was sent by “The Left” as opposed to “The Right”? Sure, someone wrote a nasty letter, but I see no clue as to the source, and there’s none given in the article, other than a statement that that’s where it came from.

    • in_awe

You’re right. But you’d also have to ignore the reason she is in the public eye is her speaking out against Obamacare…Not a whole lot of conservatives disagree with her. Matter of fact, I can’t say I have heard a single person on the right defend Obamacare.

      • Nannette McGowan

What??? If you don’t like a law, and think it’s bad for the taxpayers, the economy and jobs, why would you defend it? That just doesn’t make sense.

        • in_awe

Not sure what you are trying to say. I will simplify what I said:

          – Julie opposes Obamacare and has been very public about it, much to the annoyance of the left
          – the left is rabidly supportive of Obamacare and attacks anyone who even doubts its greatness
          – brbroberts says you can’t be sure that the death wish comes from someone on the left
          – people on the right agree with Julie, so it is unlikely a “right-winger” sent her a death wish.

      • brbroberts

I guess the term “False Flag” means nothing to you.

        • mike_in_kosovo

I guess the term “False Flag” means nothing to you.

You mean *OTHER* than “most likely to be used by liberals”?

You know; like the Oberlin hoax, the two other supposed racial slurs that ended up being the accusers themselves, the guy that set up his suicide to look like a murder so his wife would get the insurance…all by liberals.

        • in_awe

LOL! I guess Occam’s Razor means nothing to you.

          • brbroberts

With people like Ashley Todd abounding in the ranks of the right, Occam’s Razor reinforces my view, not yours. Double LOL, check and mate.

          • in_awe

Wow! You seem to enjoy being a revisionist when it comes to the modus operandi of the left which always personalizes any debate and ultimately ends with wishes of violence, death or censoring of political foes. Just review the comments of leftists on the web or Dems in Congress like Grayson of FL.. or Michael Moore, or…well the list is nearly endless. To you the tiniest chance of a “planted threat” is more likely than the torrent of hate we see daily coming from the left.

Fine. You win. “Infinity LOL”. Oh and double check mate. Whatever. Sigh.

    • journogal

Given the past behavior of the left…calling for Palin’s death, Bush’s death, Romney’s death…anyone’s death that disagrees with their line of thoughts lead to believing this was written from someone on the left. Recall the death threats Scott Walker and family received? It was from someone on the left. Given their past, it makes sense this letter would be from someone on the left.

      • Melissa Cohagen

Come now. Threats on Obama have exceeded any of those. Nuts from both sides are capable of bad behavior.

        • QueenB

I just love when the defense of your guy is, “well other people do it too!!!” Sounds like a BS excuse I’d get from my 5 year old.

        • mike_in_kosovo
        • Elizabeth

          Stop trolling people. It’s obnoxious.

        • plumberskid

Really, I have seen an absolute dearth of death threats made about our Fearful Leader, and have noticed that most conservatives have gone out of their way to avoid making these ridiculous kinds of statements. In fact, the vast majority of us do not wish him dead (nor do we wish him ill health). What we wish for is for him and his henchmen to all be impeached, arrested and charged with treason. Of course, if this leads to the death penalty, then so be it. He will have deserved it. But just to wish him dead for no other reason than making an outrageous statement in a TV ad , no. You won’t see any of us doing that. Nor will you see any of us wishing that he is stricken with cancer. Conservatives are far more civilized than liberals.

        • Corey Dennison

          Try again:

No evidence to support claim about threats against Obama

By the way, history shows us that most politically-motivated assassinations are carried out by leftists.

    • Jeffrey Lamela

Well, it must be someone who is against the conservative views that she has expressed.

    • nedeki

A dubiously planted letter by a conservative wouldn’t have spelled
citizen as “citzen”… When I see an emotionally charged and misspelled
letter, I’m thinking Occupy Wall Street.

      • brbroberts

Sure. If there is a misspelled word, the letter must have been written by a liberal, as opposed to a Republican like, say, Dan Quayle, who can’t spell the word “potato”. SMH

        • nedeki

…and of course you ignore the spazmatic rage that probably caused the author to bust a blood vessel while writing it. Liberals aren’t exactly known for logic and reason.
PS… call me when your leader Obama can actually spell “Respect” — I guess his teleprompter wasn’t loaded properly, right?

        • nedeki

HAHAHA!… Your liberal buddies are spitting up pea soap, spinning their heads, flopping on the floor, and foaming at the mouth over the SCOTUS’ ruling and you want to tell me this spazmatic letter wasn’t written by a whack-job liberal…
BTW–call me when your leader Obama call actually spell “Respect” (you need to fire whoever was loading his teleprompter that night).

          • brbroberts

LOL Another dumbass comment, from another stupid douchebag. He’s not “my” leader, dumbass, he’s yours. Only you fools could have elected him.

  • Tom Winegar

I see a lot of people expressing surprise at the hatred from the left but I have been watching these Liberal Progressives aka Communists behave just like this for decades now. I guess I should just be happy that people that never noticed before are finally seeing the truth about these trashy subhumans.

    • Jeffrey Lamela

Before the internet, many were blissfully ignorant of the thoughts of most people outside of their individual circles.

      • Lesley Haskell

Absolutely true. That’s why our society is so hateful now because everyone’s vile, hate-filled diatribes are posted by the thousands everyday, everywhere. And the anonymity makes it worse.

  • Lesley Haskell

How do they know it came from a leftie? I’m not trying to argue but I just haven’t seen the proof that the anonymous author is a democrat. We can’t be so quick to judge without proof or facts like the left or we will BE just like the left.

Liberalism is a mental disorder compounded with hate and stupidity. Does this really surprise anyone?

  • Don Lovell

It is who they are, no surprise but a lessen to those that think we can co-exist.

These are the same idiots that cheered when Noel Sheppard died this week. The Daily Caller had to scrub the comment section because scumbag leftists posted hate spewed messages. Obama has succeeded in turning Americans against Americans. Now we not only have to worry about the radical Muslims in our country, who possibly are coming to OUR country through Mexico, because we don’t want to close our borders and deny them the right to vote for Obama, we have to worry about fellow Americans, turning against each other.

In 1950’s America, everyone was prosperous and jobs plentiful. You could walk down any street in America, and ask anyone how they felt about homosexuality or murdering children in the womb…. and the answer would be a unanimous “NO”.

The illusion that “BanksterCare” is going to help anyone is just that, an illusion. The banksters also run both of these bogus political parties. America needs honest leaders it knows it can trust again. Trust is the main issue.

Will the FBI investigate this for hate crimes, civil rights violations? Oh no. The DOJ doesn’t believe the law protects white Christians. The Constitution has at least 2 Equal Protection clauses but the Left believes that the Constitution is a living-breathing document (read: the Left violates and ignores the Constitution at will).

  • Pundit456

Neither the right nor the left is monolithic or saintly. This woman was not targeted. She chose or was coerced into exploiting her condition to make a political statement; apparently thinking that her condition should allow her to attack with impunity.
She was treated equally without regard to her medical condition and she should have expected no less.

    • mike_in_kosovo

“She was treated equally without regard to her medical condition”

Which, of course, is why the letter never mentioned her cancer at all, and only talked about her insurance coverage, right?

You heard it here first, folks: Speaking out against a law that destroyed your insurance coverage is *totes* justification for having death wishes sent to you.

      • Linda

I believe c.warren was talking about the how what she said in the ad, not that she has cancer. I’ve kept up with this topic today and I’m totally amazed that no one in the right has mentioned about the falsehoods of that ad. Of course, a lot of people probably believe the ad and haven’t taken the time to read follow-ups about her bogus claims. They altered the ad slightly after the outrage but it still is misleading. Do a search on this and become informed.

        • mike_in_kosovo

          “. . . become informed”

Informed about all the guessing the Left is doing about what her coverage was, in order to say she’s better off now, or was lying before? That type of ‘better informed’, or the ‘better informed’ that blithely brushes off her being sued by a state legislator and disregards death wishes from the left?

          • Linda

Sorry, it’s not “the left guessing.” I won’t do your research for you; if you want to keep spouting ignorant comments have at it. It’s exactly this kind of behavior that gives the right a bad name.

          • Elizabeth

            You’re calling her a liar?

          • Linda

Did you even take the time to read my whole reply?

          • Alphabet_Soup

Yes, I tried but your rhetoric is very hateful and disrespectful.

          • mike_in_kosovo

            Sorry, it’s not “the left guessing.” I won’t do your research for you;

You mean where Kessler was guessing at her coverage when he wrote his Politifact piece? Like Maddow was guessing that her lower premium would balance out her higher copay?

Maybe you should quit *ASS*uming that you’re the only person that has ever heard about the situation – you’d look much less the fool.

if you want to keep spouting ignorant comments have at it. It’s exactly this kind of behavior that gives the right a bad name.

Funny how you don’t have anything to say about the politician suing her and the tv stations to silence them. I would say that it’s ‘exactly this kind of behavior that gives the left a bad name’ but we all know it’s the status quo.

          • Linda

I’m not going to go round and round with you…I mentioned only part of it. I do believe that the story about the politician isn’t completely true either but I’d have to go back and find the article again. You’re not worth my time because you’ll only believe what you want to believe.

          • Elizabeth

If he’s not worth your time, then stop posting to him. What’s the matter? Your shift isn’t over yet?

          • mike_in_kosovo

Shorter Linda: “Oh crap, he actually *has* done some research on her situation and I can’t intimidate him into shutting up… time to bail!”

          • Linda

You think that if you just keep yakking, the facts will change? But you did goad me into doing your research for you (and yes, you did “some”…just not enough). From an article in March about a poll, showing that the ad is backfiring: “It would appear that Peters jumping up in the polls coincides with the Koch-backed SuperPAC Americans for Prosperityrunning an extremely dishonest ad last month targeting Peters and his support for the Affordable Care Act. The ad, featuring a woman claiming that Obamacare is unaffordable and potentially life-threatening to her, was lambasted by fact-checkers for being untruthful and greatly exaggerating the woman’s plight. The truth came out that the woman’s premiums had actually been cut in half, she was able to keep her same doctor and, due to a cap on out-of-pocket expenses, she would actually save $1,200 a year due to the ACA.

          • Elizabeth

            “Hail Obama……Hail Obama……Hail Obama……Hail Satan…..Hail Obama……Hail Obama”

          • mike_in_kosovo

            “you did ‘some’…just not enough”

Already saw the discussion about the premium vs. out of pockets… so no points for you, sorry.

And, it’s *still* more guessing from people who don’t know what meds she’s taking, whether they’re on formulary for her new insurance or not.

And still nothing about Peters suing the TV stations or the death wishes to Boonstra.

Keep trying to deflect, I’m sure sooner or later *someone* will believe your BS – probably one of the other #LowInfoLibs.

          • tops116 ✓Quipper

“You think that if you just keep yakking, the facts will change?”

          • plumberskid

No, it’s lies told I perpetuity by the left to their low info fans and repeated ad nauseum, that give the Right a bad name.

        • Elizabeth

Oh boy. Another new poster spewing the same talking points as the other 50 or so just on this topic alone. Look honey – you want to paint a cancer victim as a liar, then you’re the one with the black heart. I’ve done my research and you’re just an OFA lying drone. Please. You people have been so transparent on this thread. BTW – nice hat (eyeroll)

          • Linda

You can honey me, roll your eyes, call me a lying drone…it doesn’t change the fact that the ad was bogus. Do I think she was lying? Not exactly. I think she was confused and was egged on by the AFP who wanted to create the ad. Even when she was told by BC/BS that her premium was 1/2 what she thought it was, she actually said, “I don’t believe that.” So, she had been spurred on to believe a lie. Get a grip, do your homework on stories like this before spouting off ignorant statements.

          • Linda

The piece is an editorial, written by a man who also works for Herman Cain. Even the author admits his info came from AFP, not the woman herself. A couple of comments on the article: 1) It’s not uncommon for insurance not to cover drugs that have been moved from prescription only status to over-the-counter. 2) A statement of benefits is the contract; I’ve never received anything else.

This thread has been an eye-opener to me for how rabid and sick the right-fringe is.

Besides that, one unidentified letter doesn’t mean they talk for an entire group. Get real. We don’t know who sent this letter. It could have been someone wanting to stir the right. Maybe it was someone on the left disturbed about her television ads. which are strained by so-called “fact checkers”. Regardless, of who sent it, it’s one idiot who speaks unfortunately for themselves.

          • rch427

Except that it’s anything BUT a “left-wing rant” for someone to criticize the George W. Bush administration’s malfeasance regarding the Iraq War. I hope THAT concept isn’t too deep for you.

Know who else has been outspoken in their criticism of BushCo’s little adventure in Iraq?

Pat Buchanan — and I doubt that even you are as conservative or “right-wing” as he.

            William F. Buckley, as well.

Brent Scowcroft, the Republican former advisor to Nixon, Ford and Bush, Sr.

Joseph Wilson, the conservative Republican diplomat appointed (and called “a true American hero”) by George H. W. Bush.

William Crowe, the Republican former US Ambassador and Navy admiral who was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Reagan.

Scott McConnell, the co-founder of The American Conservative magazine.

Who else? Charley Reese, the arch-conservative columnist. Paul Craig Roberts, the co-founder of “Reaganomics”, and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan. Doug Bandow, a former special assistant to Reagan and senior Fellow at the Cato, and so on.

The fact is that there are MANY Republicans and/or conservatives who were disparaging of George W. Bush and his Administration and their utterly pointless war in Iraq.

How inconvenient for you, who can only see things in black and white!

      • rch427

Joe, no one doubts that there are plenty of examples of hoaxes perpetrated by liberals. But just to refresh your memory: one of the biggest hoaxes in the past twenty years was perpetrated by the (neo)conservative, Republican George W. Bush Administration.

Remember the way that Cheney, Powell, Rice, et al, swore up and down that Iraq was developing WMDs, had yellowcake uranium, that there were mobile WMD labs and stockpiled weapons “to the east, north, west and south of Baghdad”, that Saddam was in cahoots with bin Laden, and a host of other lies? The difference is that *that* particular hoax resulted in 4,400 of our troops being killed, and 32,000 wounded, not to mention somewhere between $1.7 and 3 trillion.

        • mike_in_kosovo

Just to refresh YOUR memory (must be *so* nice to only see the world through 20/20 hindsight from your Monday morning quarterback chair):

“. . .threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” — From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998

“This December will mark three years since United Nations inspectors last visited Iraq. There is no doubt that since that time, Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to refine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer- range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.” — From a December 6, 2001 letter signed by Bob Graham, Joe Lieberman, Harold Ford, & Tom Lantos among others

“(Saddam) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain he will use that arsenal again, as he has 10 times since 1983″ — National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Feb 18, 1998

“Iraq made commitments after the Gulf War to completely dismantle all weapons of mass destruction, and unfortunately, Iraq has not lived up to its agreement.” — Barbara Boxer, November 8, 2002

“The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow.” — Bill Clinton in 1998

It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security.” — Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

“I am absolutely convinced that there are weapons…I saw evidence back in 1998 when we would see the inspectors being barred from gaining entry into a warehouse for three hours with trucks rolling up and then moving those trucks out.” — Clinton’s Secretary of Defense William Cohen in
          April of 2003

Shall I continue, or do you wish to concede the point that you’re full of crap?

          • RegBlank3

You really should have a clue before you parrot the leftist gibberish.
It seems your lies don’t hold up to scrutiny.

          • mike_in_kosovo

You meant that for rch and not myself, right?

          • RegBlank3

Of course. The leftist lies about no WMDs really annoy me. I purposely used the commie news network and pbs as sources to demonstrate that indeed Saddam was working tirelessly on his nuclear programs as well as chemical and biological programs.
There’s good evidence that much of Saddam’s stockpile was moved to Syria just prior to the invasion.
The lie that there were “NO WMDs” collapses with even the smallest bit oof research.

          • rch427

Furthermore, how many of the 9/11 attackers were Iraqi? Not even one. Fifteen of the 19 were Saudi Arabians (the other 4 were from Egypt, Lebanon and the UAE). Was Osama bin Laden from Iraq? Nope, he ALSO was from Saudi Arabia. So, why didn’t we attack Saudi Arabia? Hint: because the Bush family and the Saudi Royal Family have close business ties that cover five decades.

And why didn’t Bush go after bin Laden with anything like the same intensity with which he went after Saddam? After all, on Dec. 14, 2001, Bush stated “We’re going to get (bin Laden) Dead or alive, it doesn’t matter to me.” But just 4 months later, he said “I don’t know where (bin Laden) is. I — I’ll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him…So I don’t know where he is. You know, I just don’t spend that much time on him”. What a guy. Bin Laden attacks the US and kills nearly 3,000 Americans, but Bush “isn’t that concerned about him” and blows all of his chances to kill him. Bin Laden survives for almost a decade since 9/11 and it takes another Commander-in-Chief to kill him.

          • Corey Dennison

Here’s another hankie for your rage-spittle.

Man, you lefties really get into a lather, don’t you?

          • rch427

It’s typical of the shallowness that passes for your input here that you would think that every person fits neatly into “left” v/s “right”.

          • rch427

re “The lie that there were ‘NO WMDs’ collapses with even the smallest bit oof research.”

            Here’s what the non-partisan, non-biased FactCheck.org says:

“After the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the Bush administration formed the Iraq Survey Group and tasked it with the job of locating WMD stockpiles in Iraq. The ISG was staffed with hundreds of intelligence analysts and military personnel from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. The group scoured Iraq, searching for deposits of weapons. But that was actually only part of the ISG’s focus.

According to the ISG final report, the search for WMDs actually began during the invasion phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A military task force was deployed to investigate suspected WMD sites on the theory that the Iraqi military might otherwise employ those weapons against coalition troops. After the invasion, the ISG was established to conduct “a more systematic collection of evidence to build an understanding of Iraqi WMD programs.” In other words, the ISG did not simply look for WMDs. The group also looked at Iraq’s WMD capabilities and examined evidence relating to past WMD stockpiles.

During its investigation, the ISG reported that ‘[a] total of 53 munitions have been recovered, all of which appear to have been part of pre-1991 Gulf war stocks based on their physical condition and residual components.’ These isolated discoveries received significant media attention, and it’s likely that these overhyped reports contributed to your friends’ beliefs that Iraq really did possess WMDs. But the finds were rare, and the ISG concluded that they were not part of a significant stockpile of weapons. Indeed, after nearly two years of investigation, the ISG concluded that:
‘Saddam Hussain ended the nuclear program in 1991 following the Gulf war. ISG found no evidence to suggest concerted efforts to restart the program.’ ‘While a small number of old, abandoned chemical munitions have been discovered, ISG judges that Iraq unilaterally destroyed its undeclared chemical weapons stockpile in 1991. There are no credible indications that Baghdad resumed production of chemical munitions thereafter.’ ‘In practical terms, with the destruction of the Al Hakam facility, Iraq abandoned its ambition to obtain advanced BW [biological warfare] weapons quickly. ISG found no direct evidence that Iraq, after 1996, had plans for a new BW program or was conducting BW-specific work for military purposes.’

Experts from the three nations failed to document any existent biological or nuclear weapons and discovered only a few random chemical weapons. The ISG concluded that contrary to what most of the world had believed, Iraq had abandoned attempts to produce WMDs. In his congressional testimony, the head of the ISG, Charles Duelfer, admitted, ‘We were almost all wrong’ on Iraq.
The ISG report was sufficient to convince the Bush administration that there were no WMDs to be found; they called off the search in 2005.”

Your claim is utter bullshit. Here’s the first clue: “The United States secretly shipped out of Iraq more than 500 tons of low-grade uranium dating back to the Saddam Hussein era, the Pentagon said Monday.”

“The Saddam Hussein era”? When would THAT be? Ah yes — from 1979 until 2003 (25 years). Amazingly specific!

But the fact is that you’re utterly WRONG. Here’s what the nonpartisan FactCheck.org says:

“Uranium recently shipped from Iraq to Canada was left over from Saddam Hussein’s defunct nuclear weapons program and had been in sealed containers, under guard, since the end of the first Gulf War in 1991. Claims that this material is “vindication” for President Bush’s WMD claims in 2003 are completely false.”

Whose “lies don’t hold up to scrutiny”? That would be BushCo.’s, and yours.

            Q. Where was the link between Saddam and bin Laden, as claimed by the Bush Administration?

            A. It didn’t exist. They hated each other.

            Q. Where were the WMDs that were supposedly “around Tikrit and Baghdad”?

            A. They’ve never been found. If they had, they would’ve been paraded around for the rest of the war.

            Q. Where was the yellowcake that BushCo claimed was being enriched?

            A. It never existed; the only yellowcake in Iraq had been sealed in barrels since 1991.

            Q. Where were the claimed stockpiles of anthrax, botulin and VX?

            A. Nowhere. They didn’t exist. The only biological or chemical weapons ever found in Iraq were pre-1991 stores.

            Q. Where were the uranium-enriching centrifuges that Powell made such a big deal about claiming the aluminum tubes were for?

            A. They didn’t exist; the tubes were intended for conventional rockets. In fact, Powell admitted to lying about them; that the intel he presented was “deliberately misleading.”

As the nonpartisan GlobalSecurity.org put it: the claim was that “Iraq had reconstituted its nuclear weapons program and could assemble a device by the end of the decade; that Iraq had biological weapons and mobile facilities for producing biological warfare (BW) agent; that Iraq had both renewed production of chemical weapons, and probably had chemical weapons stockpiles of up to 500 metric tons; and that Iraq was developing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) probably intended to deliver BW agent.

            These assessments were all wrong.”

            (source: http://www.globalsecurity.org/intell/library/reports/2005/wmd_report_25mar2005_chap01.htm )

            Q. Were we “greeted as liberators” as Cheney promised? Did the war “…last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months”, as Rumsfeld and Cheney claimed? Was the “mission accomplished” by May 1, 2003, as Bush claimed?

            A. No, no and no. All three were spectacularly wrong. Even Rumsfeld and Rove later admitted how wrong they were. But it was their claims that helped sell the war to not only the American public but the Democrats in the Congress.

Not even close. The letter you refer to was another example of Democrats falling all over each other to appear “patriotic”; something engaged in by BOTH camps.

But you know bloody well that the reason they signed onto that particular letter was because the Bush Administration LIED to them, and to the American public. Who controlled the intel? BushCo., NOT the Democrats.

To refresh YOUR memory: Hans Blix — who was actually ON the ground in Iraq before the invasion, at the behest of the UN, and was not beholden to BushCo., reported unequivocally that Iraq was indeed complying with the ban on WMDs. BushCo. ignored that firsthand report. In Feb. of 2002, the CIA sent Joseph Wilson to Iraq to investigate claims that Iraq was trying to obtain yellowcake uranium. He reported, accurately, that they weren’t. And yet Bush claimed the opposite (with no evidence to support their claim), and flat-out LIED to the American public that Iraq *was*, in his State of the Union Address.

On Aug. 26 of 2002, Cheney stated unequivocally “Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction.” Never mind the fact that he had zero evidence to back this claim up, and that no WMDs have ever been found despite exhaustive searches.

A month later, Bush claimed, in a speech to the UN General Assembly, “Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the
production of biological weapons.” Again — NO evidence, and no proof after the fact.
in late 2002, Rumsfeld tasked Wolfowitz and Feith (both Bush appointees) with setting up the Office of Special Plans, to “stovepipe” intel from the CIA directly to the Bush Cabinet. They manipulated that intel to try to make it seem as if Saddam was indeed developing WMDs and had ties to bin Laden, when it was known by NON-Cabinet members that he wasn’t. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Special_Plans ) The British, in particular, knew it was a lie and, as it said in the Downing Street Memo — “…the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.” ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downing_Street_memo )

And, as Blair later admitted (and was documented in the Manning Memo), BushCo. was ready to go to declare war on Iraq in Jan. of 2002, before investigations as to Iraq’s compliance with UN bans was even complete ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush-Blair_2003_Iraq_memo )

Bush’s SotU Address in 2003: “Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce
as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.” And again — no evidence, and no proof found.

A few days later, Rumsfeld stated “We know where they (the WMDs) are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north

On May 4 of 2003, Colin Powell stated “I’m absolutely sure that there are weapons of mass destruction there and
the evidence will be forthcoming. We’re just getting it just now.” All lies.

You spend your days licking windows, don’t you?

Let me see: how many wars did Clinton get the US into? That would be approximately NONE.

Let me see: how many wars did Clinton get the US into? That would be approximately NONE.

Bosnia in the mid-90’s, Kosovo in 99 – in between lobbing missiles at aspirin factories to take the attention off of bimbo eruptions. Next stupid question?

          • rch427

What the hell are you talking about?! Neither Bosnia nor Kosovo were US wars, so Clinton didn’t “get us into” either.

The only US troops that were in Kosovo were there as part of NATO forces. And how many US troops died there? Exactly two: both casualties of an accidental helicopter crash.

And Bosnia? The US wasn’t even a belligerent in that War; the only US forces that were there were part of the UN Peacekeeping Forces. Not one of them was killed.

And neither of those conflicts cost the US taxpayers a dime, much less $1.3 trillion plus.

            Next stupid answer?

          • Corey Dennison

You should spend more time learning history instead of spewing left wing talking points. You’d appear less stupid that way.

          • mike_in_kosovo

Was that supposed to be the part where you thought you had a point?

We went into Iraq and A-stan with NATO allies.

            Try again.

          • rch427

“Was that supposed to be the part where you thought you had a point?”

            Early-onset Alzheimer’s or convenient memory?

I asked “How many wars did Clinton get us into?” You responded “Bosnia in the mid-90’s, Kosovo in 99” to which I correctly pointed out that NEITHER of these were wars that the US was “gotten into”. Indeed, Clinton fought as vigorously as he could against putting US troops on the ground there.

In neither of those conflicts were US troops committed on the ground, much less 112,000 of them, as in Iraq. And in neither case did our involvement cost trillions or the lives of thousands of Americans.

“We went into Iraq…with NATO allies.”

            You’re quite the comedian.

            1. The invasion would never have happened had it not been for the Bush Administration’s insistence; none of our allies had any interest in invading Iraq, nor did any of their leadership believe that Iraq was a threat.

            2. We didn’t go “into Iraq with NATO allies; NATO’s role was utterly trivial (150 “advisors” and a few hundred others in non-combatant training roles). This “coalition of the willing” that BushCo. managed to cobble together was, aside from Britain and a couple thousand Australians (who suffered no casualties), a total of 14,000 troops from such places as Moldova (24 troops), Tonga (55 troops), Armenia (46 troops) and Singapore (175 troops). Anyone who believes that those “coalition” forces had anything to do with prosecuting the war is insane; it was all window-dressing to make it look like an “international coalition”.

Where were our biggest traditional NATO partners — Canada, Germany and France? Where were our NATO partners Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Finland and Greece? They were not only absent, but were publicly denouncing the US-led plan. So much for your claim that “We went into Iraq…with NATO allies.”

          • mike_in_kosovo

Early onset Alzheimers or convenient memory?

Based on your non-sensical rants, I’m going with the Alzheimers.

          • rch427

Yeah, I’d have to agree. Sometimes your posts are almost coherent, but most of the time, you conveniently “forget” the issue at hand (despite having made the utterly fallacious claims in the first place). One might be tempted to believe that you’re simply not up to debating the issue. But if you say you have Alzheimer’s, I’ll let it pass.

Who said anything about requiring “proof that it was faked”? Is there any “proof that it’s NOT faked”? The onus is on those who claim something to prove that it *is* factual, not on those who are skeptical to prove that it *isn’t* factual.

I’ll bet Harry Reid would condemn this as lies, too:

You’d think the Left would be attempting victory laps today. Instead, they’re just playing the same lame-ass deflection games that reek of self-pity they’ve been playing since October. How sad… but also quite amusing. Yep, the way the Left has been conducting themselves today demonstrates that even they know Obamacare is a dud.
