Is this supposed to be a joke? Stephen Colbert thought so. He was attempting to satirize Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and his launch of the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation, but his joke didn’t quite fly.

Get it?

Suey Park wasn’t alone calling for Colbert’s cancellation. #CancelColbert soon trended.

Update: The tweet has since been quietly deleted.

  • Branovices

Uh oh! Looks like he offended a much more numerous minority than Native Americans, a minority we can all apparently safely continue to ignore.

    • Apollo1011 .

I’ve noticed that liberals and blacks seem to have a problem with Asians. Not quite sure why, but they usually are very hard working and successful. Probably explains it.

      • Orlando Cee

Family is VERY important in the Asian community. That, and for the most part, Asian children are taught that actions have consequences.

  • FlatFoot

Rosie O’Donnell must be crying in her box of bonbons right about now.

    • Leslie Davis

You Sir have a point… Guess all these people would freak out if they would watch Tosh.0 if their racist scared… Thin skinned Dumbassess

      • Albert Schmitlap.

He actually has his own show,,,and it’s still on more the ONE show????? Wow, Americans ARE that Stupid,,,no wonder we are losing our way of life,,,we deserve too.

    • CrustyB

Yeah, but unfortunately Colbert doesn’t have a woman or a homosexual card to play. He’s bust.

    • shirtsbyeric

Rosie also did her “Asian Impression” when the Premier of China visited the US.

  • Stupid Republic

So hit back at Colbert. Ask him if they still run flights from Charleston to the Carowinds.

And nice pointy avatar from Colbert. What is it with nitwit libs and their pointing (Sally Kohn, David Sirota, et al)?

    • daveachicagoareajamerican

      Liberals point for two reasons:

      1. They’re never to blame. They like to point the finger of blame elsewhere (Obama blaming President Bush, Harry Reid blaming Republicans, Nancy Pelosi blaming her plastic surgeon, etc.)

      2. From a more practical standpoint, liberals point so they can dry off their finger. It’s usually stuck up their nose (or some other bodily orifice) and exposing the finger to air reduces the moisture content.

  • mickeyco

They’re calling a white, male prog a racist! I will not gloat. I will not gloat. I will not gloat…..

    • Mead

I’m more disappointed by the retaliatory racism and bigotry. These clowns aren’t any better than what they’re railing against.

      • H50 ✓RAT

Interesting T/L and responses, to say the least.

      • mickeyco

        You are correct.

      • Proud2bfromtheUSA

I tweeted a response telling every one of them they where no better by blaming all white people for the tweet of one liberal…. do not paint conservatives with the same brush as a liberal just because of our skin color how is that not racist?

        • Albert Schmitlap.

Colbert is NOT conservative,,,He’s just a John Stewart with darker hair.

          • Anthony

Yup, Colbert is a liberal all the way.

      • Albert Schmitlap.

I wouldn’t know, I can’t watch him long enough to know,,,without puking all over the living room or throwing something through the TV,,,and I paid WAY too much for it to do THAT… 😉

      • thohan

This is the takeaway, folks, in case you’re keeping score.

      • Anthony

Exactly! I’m conservative but to say all white liberal men are racist, is just racist. Look at all the racist responses towards white people coming from Asians. Just because you got made fun of in school doesn’t mean you get to be racist now. Chances are kids making fun of Asians in school didn’t realize how rude and racist they were being and would probably never do that now that they are grown up. The hypocrisy is funny though.

    • WhoMeToo

      I will… >:^)

  • rssllue

He thought he was protected by the ever-present racist deflector that seems to surround liberals and progressives. Too bad the truth burns right through that construct.

  • H50 ✓RAT

Poor Stephen, he should have stuck to republicans, conservative women and Christians. Being misogynist, bigoted and untruthful about them is ok.

    • tjp77

It truly is hilarious when ‘progressives’ turn on each other like this.

All their nonsense talk about ‘privilege’ and ‘oppressive speech’ is soooo much more amusing when it’s directed at a liberal.

    • Ryan Johnson

“LOL those backwards incorrect Christians that want the right to run their business in accordance with their beliefs but don’t you be makin fun of them gays and asians, now!”

      • H50 ✓RAT

Well according to the liberals; ignorant dolts who believe in fantasy figures in the sky are too ignorant to be taken seriously……or something.

        • Ryan Johnson

Ah, but of course only the Christian God is an acceptable target. Not Vishnu or Buddha.

          • H50 ✓RAT

            Weird isnt it?

    • D-dubs

Everyone on our side knows the true bigots and racists of the world are Leftists like Colbert and Stewart. Too bad the rest of the world hasn’t caught on yet. This will blow over with little or no backlash and he will continue to savage anyone with a (R) next to their name.

      • H50 ✓RAT

Not so sure about that anymore. Last year, progs turning on progs was unheard of. This year they are eating their own and dropping like flies. At some point the indoctrination to rabid knee jerk outcry takes over and you lose control of the beast.

Kind of like Frankenstein monster. You can create the beast, you can force life upon it, but ultimately you lose control of it and it snaps you neck like a twig.

        • D-dubs

I sure hope so….scary things is they still re-elected BO twice, there are multiple scandals going on right new with Dem politicians and no one (except Conservative media) is reporting on it, and bottom line is these hacks will still have shows at the end of the day and make millions doing it. Look at Bill Maher…..people have to quit watching them and unfortunately there will always be an audience dumb enough to tune in.

          • H50 ✓RAT

True, but as the progs get further out of control, its personally effecting more folks, not just that select group, so media black out or not its still all over the internet and social media.

This gal is the perfect example of what Im saying, she didnt give a rodents behind until it hit home.

Time will tell, but either way its fun to watch, and their prog tears sustain me. 😉

  • Hirogen

What a nasty little “joke”. At the very least, whatever lame writer who runs that Twitter should be canned.

I did notice, however, that National Cleavage Day was trending. I didn’t even know there was a National Cleavage Day.

Tonight I will pause and remember all the sacrifices made by women, transvestites and Drag Queens with cleavage :0)

    • H50 ✓RAT

So, your off to South Africa to ogle breasts? Bon Voyage.

  • Smiley

This week certainly has been schaden-licious. Yesterday was the gun-running gun grabber in Cali. Today it’s Colbert hoisted by his own identity-baiting petard. Whatever shall tomorrow bring.

      • WhoMeToo

        Hopefully. ~O.O~

  • Tugger – ✓unamused

While I have never watched (nor intend to watch) the Colbert Show, people need to lighten up. All the anti bullying crap and complete outrage at just about every statement made by anybody is getting out of hand. I’m pretty sure the ‘sticks and stones’ theory still holds up.

To quote a not so famous American:
Simon Phoenix: “I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of robed sissies.”

    • Doug Williams

I hear ya,but it’s outrageous when the self-proclaimed “tolerant” left become the tormentors

      • StateofFranklin

No, that’s the norm…it’s just outrageous because everyone is finally noticing.

    • Kyle Smith

Colbert Report is one of the few liberal political comedy shows that can actually make me laugh, probably because he is really good at trolling, and the fact he does shoot across the isle from time to time.

I love offensive comedy like George Carlin, Lisa Lampenelli, Nick DiPalo, and Dennis Miller. They know how to make fun of those they disagree with by not using venom and knowing what an actual punchline is, unlike hacks like Silverman and Maher, who are public bigots that think hate is an acceptable substitute for a punchline.

  • DwellsInFire

What a bunch of whiny hypersensitive liberals. This is like those Chinese Americans who were calling for Jimmy Kimmel to be canceled because of something a kid said on his show. Sometimes I think that when a liberal calls for somebody to quit, that person should quit, and with that there would be a staff of people out of work too, and less revenue from taxes, unemployment would go up, and then those whiny people no longer have any of their favorite shows left to watch. Such a destructive mindset they have.

    • MrMeowgi

Seriously.. what a bunch of hypocrites. I bet you they’re all for freedom of speech, unless it offends them.

Oh, and yeah, they want to “CancelColbert” because of something he said that offends them, but they don’t give two sh**s about the staff that will get laid off because of this.

    • Michael Superczynski

      Michelle Malkin is no lib.

      • Cogniscentum

Michelle Malkin has had racist stuff thrown at her by libs for years, stuff I won’t repeat because it is far more offensive than this crap, so I don’t blame her for being a little sensitive on the issue.

      • DwellsInFire

I know she’s not a lib. But I don’t know what that has to do with that barrage of liberal tweets calling for Colbert to be cancelled that I was commenting on.

        • Michael Superczynski

Yeah I see what you mean. I’m trying to figure out who I was responding to.

  • DeadlockVictim

My rule of thumb: If you’re gonna say something offensive, make sure it’s funny first.

  • unknown

As someone who is half Chinese, I find myself torn about all this. On the one hand, the hypersensitivity of this country is getting so annoying that it seems the only group the PC police don’t defend are white, heterosexual males. But then, the so-called “champions of tolerance” often turn a blind eye to discrimination of Americans of Asian origin, especially when the offenders are other non-white Americans.

    • TugboatPhil

Asian student performance is contrary to the guilt-ridden, white lib stereotype of having minorities be low achievers.

  • Duke

My Asian wife thinks this Tweet was hilarious and she heard the same and worse in grade school. In context, Colbert was mocking Dan Snyder’s real racist organization (according to Libs) with his own, obviously fake, racist sounding organization. One joke does not a racist make. We’re so quick to jump on people at the slightest shred of controversy and demand blood. People need to lighten the f$&@ up.

    • chicagorefugee

Sorry, this falls under “make them live up to their own rulebook” – Alinskey rules, baby! It’s what the proggies want, after all.

    • TugboatPhil

There was a Youtube from a UCLA girl a year or two back and she had to leave the school. Instead of claiming victimhood, this young man struck back, and I must say did a great job with a catchy tune.

      • nickdqwk

I tried to also watch UCLA student rant video, I didn’t make it to the end.
The strike back video song though will be remembered always.
        Thanks for sharing.

    • pvbella

The liberals do this all the time. They are the enemies of free speech and expression. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. There is a price to pay for being a politically correct hypocrite.

  • Maxx

I’m willing to give the guy a break. Comedians often swing and miss. This was a huge miss. I don’t think the guy is racist, I just think he said something THAT was racist…and hurtful. There is a difference. I’m also not down with this cancel hash tag. We’re not any better than the left if every time someone sticks their foot in their mouth or offends us, we want to “cancel ’em.” Remember the left’s effort with Phil Robertson? We’re better than that.

What does annoy me, beyond the insulting comment itself, is the silence from the majority of the left. Credit to those who ordinarily find themselves voting Democrat who are insulted by the remark and have voiced their disgust. At least they’re not afraid to call one of their own out. The rest of those liberal hypocrites who would have rushed en masse to Twitter if Limbaugh had something like that…well, they can go to hell.

    • chicagorefugee

“We’re better than that” is a recipe for continuing to get our teeth kicked in. It’s unilateral disarmament, and will work just about as well.

Fight fire with fire; make ’em live up to their rule book for a change!

Maybe they’ll eventually be amenable to a truce. We can always hope.

      • Maxx

Nope. Disagree. If I want to act like a Democrat, I’d vote Democrat. I’m not into book burning, censorship, calls for cancellation or any of that garbage just because I disagree with someone. When I write “we’re better than that” it implies that lowering ourselves to their standard is not a winning strategy. Ronald Reagan won in a landslide because he ELEVATED the political discourse and inspired a nation. Not because he became Jimmy Carter-lite.

        • Rebecca Jones Imre

          Well said.

I started boycotting liberals when they pulled that crap on Rush Limbaugh (orange juice). Colbert has made me laugh in the past. I haven’t watched him in years.

    • pvbella

There is a price to pay for being an anti-free speech politically correct hypocrite. He should pay the price. He would do real well at washing cars or dunking french fries. It is all people like him are good for.

No sympathy here! All you lib white millenial males, women and so-called minorities. #CancelColbert because I’m tired of being expected to put up with racism from liberals just because the other side is ‘worse’.

I see she used quotations around the word ‘worse’.

So is she admitting we, as in the conservative right, are not actually the ones who are racist?

  • junkbondtrader41

As satisfying as it is to see the biter bit, is it ok for me to hate Colbert, but hate these twits screeching about this even more?

You know, the ones crying “racism” at this, but don’t see slightest irony in saying “white humor blows??”

    • Bernie Candide Gilbert

…is it ok for me to hate Colbert, but hate these twits screeching about this even more?

Yes, it is. It’s admirable, even.

  • CR

I love when these liberal PC police turn on each other!! It’s so fun to watch.

  • Brendon Carr

As usual, the League of the Outrageously Outraged misses the point. Colbert’s shtick is he’s a “conservative TV commentator”. When he does the Ching-Chong, Ding-Dong thing, the joke was See, conservatives are racist.

    • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

And that itself trades on a stereotype which is incorrect and harmful. The reference to people from the Far East was gratuitous in connection to a discussion of the controversy involving Tribal People and Dan Snyder. So, on a second-order, at-one-remove basis, it’s all right to mock Asian languages and Asians themselves, if you’re saying that oh, it’s not me, it’s my kayfabe character (which I never step out of) doing it.

Hey Colbert (“cole burt,” like your ancestors from Ireland pronounced it)– I’m-a give you three steps, boy, and I better not see you no more– like they say, back in your native Palmetto State…

  • Independentview

Please. The man could stand on the corner in a KKK outfit screaming every kind of ethnic joke and the leftist cultists would say he was just trying to teach us something about ourselves.

As long as he’s a cool aid drinker all is well with liberals.

  • RumDoooogie

she does have a point the far east doesnt have a league but why call on only the whites keep it going? this “joke” doesnt really bother me but it is dumb

  • Bernie Candide Gilbert

Colbert’s big mistake was not recognizing that there is only one group in America that you can safely mock: Bald guys.

Mock fatsos or people with some kind of disfigurement and you’re insensitive brute.
Mock ugly women and you’re a sexist.
Mock any race and you’re a racist – hell, you can be a racist even without mocking race.
Mock a religion and you’re antisemitic or an islamophobe or whatever.

    But baldies? It’s open season.

The last time I got mocked for my hairline was the classic, “Gee, could you do something about the shine coming off your forehead? It’s blinding me!”

To which I replied, “Gee, Carla, that wasn’t very nice. It’s not like being bald was a deliberate career choice or fashion statement I’m trying to make. Don’t you think it’s kinda mean to make fun of something I can’t help?”

And Carla muttered, “Yeah, I guess so,” at which point I inwardly thanked her for chomping down so greedily on the bait I’d tossed out in front of her.

“After all, I don’t make fun of your IQ…”

She looked like she wanted to hit me, which would have been great, because she was an evil, spiteful woman and I would have loved the opportunity to slug her.

But I realized that I can put down people who find my appearance amusing all day long, and that still won’t stop them from finding my appearance amusing. And I went and got a hair transplant, so I’m only bald in back now. And I later married a good woman who has never once even hinted that she thought my thin hair was unattractive.

But someday the bald guys will rise up and smite their oppressors. Because there are a lot more of us than of them.

And I won’t be bringing up the rear, either.

    • GaryUSMCvet.

I call that ‘slapping ’em on the back until they realize you just slapped their face.

  • Cy

I absolutely hate our culture of “it’s satire! Why are you getting so offended?” It’s the reason I can’t stand to look at Jon Stewart’s smug, elitist face. It just pisses me off so much the crap people can get away with if they claim it’s satire or that they’re only doing it ironically.

    • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

A point I made in another thread somewhere yesterday was that a satirist is supposed to make his point by essentially upholding morality by appearing to subvert it. I can’t see what Colbert would be trying to uphold or subvert here; is he attempting to say that Dan Snyder is a day late and a buck short? Is he trying to subvert the idea that some people may be less than sincere in attempts to mollify minorities? It ain’t satire. I do satire.

What he thinks he’s doing is a rather broad parody of a clueless TV presenter, meant to suggest Bill O’Reilly. But parody only works if what you’re doing an arch imitation/take-off of is still recognizable, as when you change lyrics to a well-known melody, or depict Barack Obama as Alfred E. Neuman. No idiot on TV starts a group about Asians with such a name. So it ain’t parody– I do parody.

He’s just playing head games. People, in the main, will tire of stuff like that, if it shows no spark of intelligence–as this lame joke does not.

  • tjack

I’m more offended by how unfunny that joke? was. This is an interesting post in that it presents an opportunity for this sites founder to share her personal experience and opinion on the matter.

90% of all Down Syndrome babies are aborted because that is the “fashionable” thing to do at this time. Get it? The Progressives attempt to dictate the social norm. It isn’t about being “White” or “male” – please don’t stereotype white males because Colbert is a jackass, or Jon Stewart is a pig. Please don’t stereotype white women because Margaret Sanger’s ultimate goal was to exterminate Blacks and all “minorities” by abortion and sterilization (mother of Planned Parenthood). Please don’t stereotype Blacks by the violent increase in “knock out” assaults. Please don’t allow trouble makers like Colbert to exacerbate and instigate racial troubles. That is their goal. Stay United in our similarities and shared values. What are true and righteous Values? These we should discuss. I’m grateful to Michelle Malkin for exposing this hypocrisy.

Yeah, I’m sick up tolerating their anti-white male bullshit. The narrative they live by is that ONLY whites can be racist. Not to mention “white privilege”, etc. This in the long run, is far more damaging than some silly namecalling

  • Douglas H Lang

He seriously put that out? In this day and age? Really? Oh god! That’s hilarious! Not the tweet but the sheer depths of tone deafness exhibited! I have a huge grin on my face just now because of yet another incredible foot in mouth episode from a so called liberal! That isn’t satire it’s cheap vaudeville from the gold rush era! Attitude have changed, someone should tell colbert!

  • Ginger Whetstine

The whole ‘movement’ is run by people that missed the points:
    1. Colebert is supposed to be a conservative, but, they think he is his character so he’s liberal, they don’t even understand what it is he does.
    2. They blame whites, not conservatives, so even white liberals are lumped into this. Only because Colebert is white.
A lot of people seem riled up about the liberals using their liberalness to get them off the hook when they slip up and let their inner-racist out. This is a very good thing.
    3. It was a bad joke, poorly written and the bloom may be off the rose with Colebert and Stewart.
It’s always nice to see some of them waking up to reality.

  • X3Charlie

And now you can see a glimmer of the progressive utopia after their common enemy is gone, infighting. See the left know they’re creating a monster within these people, that’s why those same people who helped their cause are eliminated once they prove useless and danger to the new ruling class.

  • Creed

My wife is from China, and I’m not amused by his idiotic joke.

  • Evan Dickinson

Note that Suey Park and many others on there are insulting white men and whites in general. She is not just attacking a racist statement, she is also racist/sexist.

The new thing is “only white people can be racist” and “racism against white people is virtue”.

  • phungi20

Too bad some of those who responded to him seem to think that what he said was surprising coming from a liberal – but ‘progressives’ are the most racist group out there, so it was just par for the course.

  • nc ✓s & balances

Colbert was stupid. It was unfunny, unnecessary and he should have known better. But when you’re a libbie you are used to the “cone of protection.” So he probably didn’t even think about any blowback.

I don’t want to see him get fired over this, that would be overkill, but a good slap upside the head might teach him some manners.

    • Jake Bradford

It’s that same core that allows them to call black & female conservatives all sorts of names…not to mention their outright hate statements about white males. Why a Sandra Bernhard can “joke” that Sarah Palin needs to be raped by 4 big black guys. For 1 of many examples that come to mind.

  • R Vance Nesbitt

We have become a society of thin skinned pansies….. I see at as absolutely satire…if you actually CRITICALY think about what he was saying you’d get it!!

    • David Oh

So you’re the satire expert? I guess I can go out in black face and claim satire. But then white liberals are the most racist.

  • LeighLeigh

I thought it was funny. I “get” satire. In comedy, anything goes. People are so effing sensitive these days. If Eddie Murphy tried having a concert these days, these bunch of panty waists would protest him.

  • Bolt Upright

He’s a Liberal. What do you expect? His “job lock” is hindering his “inner poet”…obviously…

  • The Annoyed Critic

Uh oh, I’m offended, so I want you to be jobless. Stupid.

  • First Amendment

Too bad all Asians are not Christians and then it would be OK

  • Matt Cash

I wonder where these people were when Colbert used Arabic sounding names to make sex jokes, or where they are when black or female (or both!) conservatives are called all sorts of racial slurs and sexual slurs.

I’ll believe their fake outrage when they start being consistent.

  • Joshua

I thought it was pretty funny.

    • Zach Smith

Seemed like a lazy, cheap shot to me.

  • OrionElectra

Don’t know who I dislike the most here. Asians who loved this a**-clown when he was making fun of everyone but them and only just now take exception, or Colbert and his colon pal, Jon Stewart. Swim the the liberal comedian sharks, ya get bitten!!

  • Kristy Patullo

Fake conservatives are so racist. 😉

  • Chaplain Michael

  • Kristine ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

This guy is painfully not funny. Just watch his interviews. If it is not written for him by professional writers, he is not funny.

    • Ultros667

Yup, when the writer’s strike occurred him and Jon Stewart had re-runs.

  • James Petrie

How are asians a minority? In America sure, but asians make up the majority of the population on earth. People need to stop getting offended so easily about every little thing. I laugh WITH people who call me a “cracker” or “nazi” because of my german background. Lighten up people..

  • Chuck Robey

I don’t care who you are that is funny… Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals,,, LMFAO

  • Samantha Logue

While it does obviously reflect back on him as it was tweeted by his show, I think it’s important to note that it might not actually have been Colbert who wrote that. The wording of some of the other tweets would suggest that he has someone do it for him. While I don’t support his politics, I have to say I have enjoyed watching his show in the past as he can be pretty funny (much funnier the Jon Stewart, at any rate). The joke was in bad taste, but I think it’s a bit harsh to be labeling Colbert himself as a racist when we don’t even know that he wrote it.

  • Jake Blues

I’m surprised Michelle Malkin is supporting this.

  • Kyle Smith

That was kid stuff. Personally, I thought it was pretty funny. If you want a “satirist” to boycott, I suggest #banMaher.

Colbert was trying to make a joke, and honestly, it’s nothing compared to the comedy of Lapanelli, Carlin, or DiPalo.

  • JustMyOpinion

I NEVER listen to him .. he has never been funny and is just another moon bat with no clue

    • Ultros667

And his ugly sister got smacked down by a Republican so this is extra bad for him.

  • jetch

leftist get so comfortable with their status as the protector of minorities that they sometimes forget they aren’t the minority.
Colbert probably thinks “in his heart” he’s a minority, so it’s okay to joke like that. like how blacks say it’s okay to use the n-word if you’re black?

  • Patches O’Houlihan

Hoist the fool on his own petard…

  • WhoDat

    Yeah, white people, do something.

  • pokenhorn

Lots of animus aimed at ‘white people’. I don’t know any white people who watch Colbert. Oh, maybe some of those pretentious ‘college’ types. Colbert has been the tool of those who love to ridicule white America. He makes one slip and you want to lynch him ?? Give him another chance and he’ll be back to sniping at ‘white people’. Then you’ll love him again.

  • Zathras11 @B5

    Stephen Colbert = Michael Richards.

  • fed-up

It’s about time liberals see him for what he is and how conservatives have seen him all along. He is a feminine hygene product.

  • KingMeIam

    This is lacist.

  • pvbella

Liberals are the real racists in society.

  • Dru Richards

Couldn’t happen to a “nicer guy”! He never has been a friend to liberals, conservatives or progressives or any minority. And now some of you, are getting the picture. Very refreshing! Now if you will just pay attention to the garbage that MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN are trying to brainwash you with, there may be hope for this country after all. There will always be differences of opinion and there will always be those who choose to pick on someone because of their race. When it is this obvious, call them out on it! This was not satire.

  • Mrs Compton

The fact they call it ‘white’ humor is kinda telling. It’s Colbert’s humor, not mine or any other white person I know.

  • baddgolfer

yeah – say all you want about white people but if we make a joke about another race we are satan

  • sherry8260

I wished to God people would just open their fucking eyes and see what is REALLY going on here…the Democrats are a party of hate and always has been. They have tried to keep non-whites down for hundreds of years. They lost epically during the civil rights era so they removed their pointed hoods and regrouped. Came back puking fake “love for fellow man” and giving away free shit to buy the ignorant and it has worked so well that they are getting comfortable with it and that’s why there are so many “slipped tongues”. When is everyone going to catch on? Does it take a fucking building to fall on you before you get it? The god damned democrats want ONLY white people running free! And I don’t know about any of my white brothers and sisters but, to me, life would get boring and effed up FAST. But since all of us white people are lumped together, our non-white brothers and sisters won’t listen to any of us any more unless its some white skinned asshole proving their hatred and distrust. Shame…Wake up, people…you’re getting screwed big time…

  • scott206

This is typical of the leftist Hollywood types. They tout themselves as being enlightened and tolerant, but for the last 50 years or more, they have done nothing but perpetuate every stereo-type. Just watch the movies and TV shows. Every black person is either a criminal, pimp, drug addict or an inept version of Amos and Andy. Same thing with Mexicans, every one who isn’t a criminal is a landscaper or something. Every Asian is a goofy nerd with a bad haircut and thick glasses. Every gay person is an over-the-top flamboyant flamer or psychotic. Every Arab is a terrorist. Every Christian is either a backwater hillbilly or some kind of duplicitous schemer. Hollywood points the finger at everyone they consider intolerant, but fails to look in the mirror.

  • OrionElectra

  • Nosferatu87

I no longer know what is worst: if that tweet or the reaction it caused amongst liberals.

“#CancelColbert because so-called progressive (paternalistic) white liberals think they are above racism. People of Color say otherwise.” This was a gem though, shows why i am a decided anti left.

  • Miketrt

These tweety people need to lighten up. See that Cannon dude doing the whiteface and disrespectful stuff towards whites? Hear an outcry about that? Crickets is what you hear. We need one standard for faux outrage.

  • Nahalban

Ah it is so fun to sit back and watch liberals eat each other. Hey libs here is another one of yours I think the term is pedophile.

  • JamesMEnos

Wow, an Asian Liberal or maybe not. I thought that crap would hit the fan when Asian’s , Hispanics, and everybody else that was not Black , would explode when they were considered white during the Zimmerman trail! Miss Park I grew up in Hawaii, and you need to get a thicker skin. It was a Joke, just like any other joke!!!!! If it had been about a Russian, or a Portuguese, would you be just as offended, how about polish. I’m part Portuguese, better known as Portagee in the islands. I listen to the joke and blow it off. We are all a part of the melting pot called America. The Asian’s has brought so much to this country, in culture, the Arts, wonderful foods, and so much more. If you think one man telling a joke can destroy your heritage or mine, you are sadly mistaken! I am and you are an American and we do not let anyone destroy our strength, our conviction, or the roots of who we are!!!!!

  • Hugh_Jass

I actually don’t know whats funnier the people who take this clown and his buddy Liebowitz seriously and are now upset by this or the fake outrage and thus publicity it will produce….

  • Kimberly Elmore

I want to set the record straight right now! I am a proud white conservative woman. I can’t stand racist jokes of any kind! I’m so sick of getting beaten over the head with accusations of conservatives being racist. Do any of you happen to know where the KKK came from? If you cared to learn your American history, you would be shocked to discover that it was the Democrats in the South that wanted to block people of color and Jews for that matter, from voting and having equal protection under the law! The Republican party stepped in and has tried to protect minorities from discrimination for at least 150 years! But instead of informing yourselves, you choose to drink the liberal Kool aid! It’s just as insulting to be accused of discrimination as it is to be discriminated against! Wake Up America!

  • dareisay

I am from a small town, blacks & whites always went to school together. Our town was part of the Underground Railroad too.
In the 60’s and 70’s some foreign doctors moved to our town.

One day our black doctor heard about a bus load of blacks were stopping in our town for protests, this doctor met them at the bus station, told them to get back on the bus that we didn’t have trouble in our town.

But I must confess I have never heard what Colbert said, nor do I know what it means.

  • Cap_Curmudgeon

He won’t join Paula Deen in the unemployment line, will he? Actually, I just stopped caring about who’s offended by speech

No person should lose their job over what they say, unless it’s insubordination to a supervisor.

    • ElDerecho

      Or lies to a constituent!

    • JB Tee

Think that one through; it would wrongfully prohibit business from crafting and maintaining their image.

      • Cap_Curmudgeon

You’re defending advertising, public relations and shameless self-promotion? I think that’s what you mean.

That’s not the aspect of speech I was addressing. Sorry for not making myself clear.

  • ElDerecho

While some people need to grow a thicker skin… I won’t cry a river if Colbert loses his job over it. The only thing of worth that ever sprang from the Daily Show was Steve Carell.

  • Rob

I predict joining the ranks of the offended and victimized will go extremely well for Asians. Just think, with enough community organization and government here to help, they too may someday get mentioned on statistics that show white people are totally doing better than everyone except those who aren’t mentioned in the statistics! It could happen. Let’s have that dream.

  • Guest

What a bunch of whiny non-thinking, politically-correct non-sense! Saying that what Colbert did is tantamount to Paula Deen’s decades of racism is saying that a 5 year-old’s blue drawing actually is the sky..

    • OrionElectra

What decades of racism from Paula Deen? You mean that one instance taken out of context, TWENTY years ago when describing a black bank robber who held a gun to her head, to her husband? I’m not going to ask you to explain your hatred of Sarah Palin now that I know you don’t use facts for anything.

      • Ultros667

This tool probably has lived in a lily white community with a zero black population. So he is morally superior to those of us who have experienced violence from blacks on a first hand basis.

      • Guest

Yes because you are afraid of facts and you obviously dont know her personally. If you think Palin was ready for primetime then we have nothing to discuss. Goodbye.

        • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

You still haven’t addressed your bullshit about decades long pattern of racism, that has no basis in fact, but you accused her anyway.

prove it or just give it up.

we haven’t heard about any such pattern.

        • OrionElectra

As I said, you don’t seem to know what facts are. Keep voting the way you do, because it’s the only way you’ll get your next meal, at my expense! :)

Oh, the hallmark of a weak position and mind – attack the messenger instead of the message. I pity you, truly. I wish you the best – Ive never seen a hater do better than me.

          • OrionElectra

You’re a voter… a typically MISINFORMED voter, and hence more than just the messenger. I actually hold you and your filthy liberal ilk MORE responsible for the mess this nation is in than Obama. Nice job of choosing leaders… probably for such matters as dicey as “oh no.. Romney’s a mormon!”

          • Guest

If you are so disgusted with this fine nation’s system of governance, you are free to leave.

          • OrionElectra

Actually, I’m not FREE to leave. Unlike when you leftoids were “threatening” to leave during GWB’s administration, we now have a vindictive president and administration who will ensure I DO NOT leave the country with the bulk of the money I earned here. Doubt me? I’ve got a Forbes article outlining it precisely. Nice going libbos.. you really elected a corker of a president!

    • Ultros667

Moron, a black man put a gun to her head, I’d call him the same damn thing. Go report me you POS! You’ve probably never held a gun, have one pointed at your skull, you’d be wetting your pants. Shoot I may be interrupting your Colbert Report re-run where he bashes America again!

      • JB Tee

        I wish you well.

    • Scott

See that’s where you libs twist things. Paula Deen made the statement decades ago, not decades of statements! Get it right! And to now bitch about PC? That is your biggest argument against the right, about how un-PC they are! But how can you get anything right when you listen to crazy hardball guy rant every second about how the right are racists? F’n hypocrites!

The death of comedy, ladies and gentlemen. Social justice and political correctness.

    • Michael Lindenmuth

But they buried the N Word. I thought that meant it was gone forever.

  • Adam Seidner

Haro Prease! Look, I’m no fan of Colbert or his liberal garbage, and this proves to me they can be just as racists, but it was a dumb lame joke and was less offensive then any episode with the City Wok guy in South Park. “Oh Haro! Welcome to $hitty Wok can I takea your order prease?”

  • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

To put this into perspective– say your friend is in hot water with some people for something (s)he did as a peace offering, a thing which failed to satisfy people who have a (perhaps well-founded) grudge against him/her. You attempt, in the presence of yet another friend who had no part in that dispute, to make a joke to your friend who’s in trouble by saying, in an arch voice, “You know how you tried to make peace with those people? Well, I’m gonna make peace with Dumb Ugly Fatso here,” a series of insults you should know the person might take umbrage at and which are totally unnecessary in the present context.

That’s the way I took this whole matter. Cole Burt outsmarted himself here. Too clever by probably even more than half.

    • Zach Smith

Everything Colbert does is too clever by half. His schtick grows old rather quickly.

  • samantha

You have no clue about what WE THE PEOPLE are going through. . You’re clueless. Will ņever watch your program again. .. Thanks for letting me know where you stand. You’re for socialism. If it weren’t for capitalism, you wouldn’t be where you are today you hypocrit!!!

      • R0nin

      • samantha

Not Colbert…Hadn’t even read this article until now. My comment has been misposted, sorry. I meant it for a female TV host…

  • Michael Lindenmuth

  • cleolani

No one would be making a big deal about this if he was any other race but white.

    • Michael Lindenmuth

The fact that anybody is, is more depressing of a fact. People’s skin is so thin today you can practically see right through them.

  • dareisay

There hasn’t been anyone funny since Jonathan Winters, and he’s gone now.

    • Michael Lindenmuth

Bill Cosby is actually still on tour. His comedy is clean and topical. I think it’s about the only brand of comedy now that people who are so stuck up could actually listen to and enjoy.

      • dareisay

He was good too. We had a lot of good comedians, today they just aren’t funny to me.

        • Michael Lindenmuth

I lost a grasp on today’s comedy… mainly because they have to be so PC and those who aren’t get destroyed by the media and by the same people who are doing this. I loved Bill Hicks… god damn do we need him today. We need people to set social justice straight.

          • dareisay

PC is what killed comedy and some that can’t say a sentence without cussing every other word. I’d rather see Gallagher talk about his cat.

          • Michael Lindenmuth

I liked Gallagher until i found out his brother was the one who actually wrote all his comedy.

  • Tukas

  • Julian Chan

I am Asian, and I am offended by this. And I am offended by some of the comments below, especially KingMelam’s.

    • Michael Lindenmuth

We are all bound to be offended. It’s how we come out of it either stronger or weaker that defines us. Thing is, I bet if he made an Eskimo Joke no one would give a damn.

      • Zach Smith

        Does it involve an igloo?

        • Michael Lindenmuth

probably clubbing baby seals and sled dogs too.

      • Julian Chan

I agree, to an extent. I just see this kind of thing being more prevalent these days. I am half white, half Chinese, grew up in Asia. I have had all sorts of racist things thrown at me growing up. I am used to taking racist comments for being white. Racist comments for being Asian. Normally, does not bother me. But it bothers me that more and more lately, a lot of people seem to think it is OK to make remarks like this about Asians.

        • Michael Lindenmuth

Probably because they’ve made remarks towards blacks, hispanic people, and women a death sentence if you are in the media. Soon I’m sure no one will dare say anything bad about an asian person… unless you are asian. Then you can make all the asian jokes you want because you are one of them. Then the only people who can use Asian jokes will be asian comedians like how Carlos mencia is allowed to use Hispanic jokes because he’s Cuban and Lewis Black is allowed to make Jewish jokes because he is Jewish…

          • Julian Chan

Just wonder why it seems to be OK more and more these days. I was brought up with the mentality, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it. Then again, I am not the most PC person in the world either. Oh well.

        • GaryUSMCvet.

I would be happy to exchange your “I am half white, half Chinese” skin tone for my dark brown Native American, white, and black combo skin tone for 12 months. The point being — you’d learn to let it roll off your back and rise above it after a few months of dealing with some real racism and rejection that had nothing to do with your character, values, or morals — but merely because of the color of your skin. Don’t let it bother you.

          • Julian Chan

I think you missed the part where I grew up in Asia…looking as pale as I did was not exactly a virtue. And understanding the slurs in the local language was interesting. That aside, I probably did not get it as bad as most folks like yourself. Maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning. I just think people should just think about what they say a little more. Not asking people to be PC, just asking them to weigh their words more.

          • GaryUSMCvet.

No, I got your point and I don’t disparage or belittle what was obviously a painful experience for you because you were different from the other kids. You actually made my point in your reply to me. Now imagine how much worst you would’ve had it wearing skin at the other end of the spectrum — brown skin. My point was, try living with a skin tone where on a daily basis where you’re defined immediately based on your skin tone, rather than your character, moral values, or ethics. It’s not until people actually talk to me, get to know me or spend enough time around me in a social, professional, or business setting they realize (have had more than a few tell me that I was different and they first judged me by my skin tone) I’m an individual that happens to be part of a group — but not defined by the group. Albeit a group with some serious cultural, community, educational, and crime issues — coupled with major image and PR issues.

I can’t change millions of minds by myself — so I focus on being the best person I can be, through education and being a success in my business. Racism is not an issue for me, I’m not a victim, and it’s been years since I’ve experienced an overt bigot. I blame none other than the folks that share a similar skin tone for the cultural, image, and PR problems, if any, I might experience, due to their less than admirable behavior as a group.

You’re an adult now and in America your heritage is celebrated for obvious reasons, your skin tone is a standard of beauty, and among the most desirable. The burden I bare due to my skin tone causes me to stand out, is permanent, and far less acceptable to many compared to your “pale” skin. My bigger point — don’t let the minor racism bother you, real or perceived.

          • Julian Chan

You, sir, are a far bigger person than I. And I applaud it. I normally am not too bothered by things like this, but it has got a cumulative effect sometimes. I think today was just my, “I’m done” moment before the reset.

          • GaryUSMCvet.

I understand — we all have moments when the feelings of ‘thy cup runneth over’ reaches a max.

First of all, I’m looking at this through the eyes of an American Indian (Comanche), and the liberal crap storm over the name “Redskins” offends the hell out of me. Teams don’t name themselves “The Losers” or “The Dipwads” or “The Geeks,” they name themselves after admirable things. So, the fact that liberals are bending over backwards “on my behalf” pisses me off. What Stephen Colbert (who is no liberal!) did was express the offensiveness of Dan Snyder’s foundation. I think that the few in the Asian community who are offended by this just don’t get it. Satire is illustrating the absurd with absurdity. It got the Asian community’s attention as well as everyone elses, didn’t it? Mission accomplished.

    • Michael Lindenmuth

there is no room for this kind of logic in social justice.

      • Lonnie

Forgive me for thinking that people have gotten just a bit too damn touchy.

        • Michael Lindenmuth

that’s the point I was making. Even if that’s exactly what he did and why he did it all the social justice warriors care about is if what you said has the potential for hurt somebody’s feelings. That’s why I say there’s no room for that in social justice. All they care about is whether or not the message has what they consider as a trigger not the meaning of the message.

          • Lonnie

Sorry, I misunderstood your first comment.

  • OrionElectra

Thanks to the liberal emasculation of America, even the males of our species are taking advantage of the new career path known as “perpetually offended.” Indeed, there is much money to be made by feigning outrage over the slightest of things. Gone are the days when Arnold Schwarzeneggar could say “Stop being such a pu**y!” Nope, now we all have to pay higher prices to any company who’s been sued by some opportunistic “minority” leach who saw an angle to be offended.

  • Tanker74

Colbert just received a Suey Chop.

  • SSDD

Just curious why all these people tweeting are calling out white men rather than saying racism from anyone is unacceptable

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

I wonder what Jamilah Lemieux has to say about all this. 😉

Look, Colbert’s joke was (as usual) quite pathetic. Still, calling for him to be fired over this is extreme. Those doing so either already don’t like him or are just disillusioned fans who’ll rejoin the fandom once Colbert lashes out another group.

That said, Colbert is an obnoxious, arrogant twit. I don’t mind if he were to squirm a bit over this, and I certainly look forward to him aping Jon Stewart’s “clown nose on, clown nose off” routine.

  • Jenn of the Jungle

Being pissed about stupid crap like this marginalizes us. Nothing to see there.. really.. move along. Sounding like a bunch of whiny libtards.

  • rsoski

I love it when the libs get caught up in the very “seeking outrage” groups they invented…. When you live by that sword (always outraged ) it usually swings around and cuts you… The smart ass little girly boy Colbert will lose all 19 million Asians now…poor little bastard…..I feel so sorry for him… He will now know how conservatives feel about the manufactured outrage continually reaped on them….. HA! I piss in your Cheerios Colbert….

  • Ben Magno

Oct 3 – Variety runs a rant on the racism of the Redskins and uses a lot of racial slurs.

Today – Variety runs an article about Colbert’s use of a racial slur in trying to point out HOW OFFENSIVE the Redskins are.

    #CancelColbert trends.

It blows my mind, not only that Colbert basically saying “This is how racist these guys look” is taken out of context by a website that ran the exact same type of story.

Some people already have their targets, ready to hate at a moment’s notice. Apparently, these people do NOT care how offensive the Redskins are. You know(or do you?) the whole point of this.

    • SideshowJon36

“Redskins” was never meant as a racist term. The idea that it was is 1980s revisionist history.

      • Ben Magno

There are a LOT of racist terms that haven’t always been uncouth. My point was that Variety and Colbert made the same point in the same way, and Variety called Colbert racist and got the hashtag started.
I mean “the same way” as in using other racist terms to illustrate how offensive the original may seem. The only difference is, Variety got to use Colbert’s out of context.

    • jaydee007

Can you imagine how Mark Twain’s “Only a – – – – -! would go over if written today?

      • Ben Magno

That’s why certain schools still ban Twain. LOVE the analogy!

  • SideshowJon36

Nononononono…. he’s not racist. He’s pretending to be Bill O’Reilly and implying O’Reilly is racist by being racist! Sure, it doesn’t actually allude to anything “Papa Bear” did or said, but hey, it’s funny because he told you it is!

  • RichardBlaine

Hold them to their own standards!

  • gekkobear

Right, when you’re racist in a joke it’s totally ok, like any “racist” joke… once it’s a joke it’s ok.

    Wait, no that’s not true…

I mean if your racist joke helps a liberal cause, then liberals will give you a pass on open blatant racism because liberalism is the only true cause they follow.

Yeah… that seems to match what happens.

  • jaydee007

I was in a Store the other day and I was looking for someone who works there.
I described her by saying “She has features that favor Oriental.”
An African American Woman immediately said to me, “That was Insensitive.”
    I said, “What? How?”
She said, “You should say she looks Asian.”
I said, “But she doesn’t look Russian, Turkish, Punjab, Persian, Mongol, nor favoring any of the Stans – her features are unique to the Southeast, South Central Portion of Asia that is referred to as the Orient since Before the birth of Christ.”
She stared at me like I was from Mars.
Since when did a Geographic become a Pejorative?
My point is that this Hypersensitivity is getting Ridiculous!

  • nhbgvgyh

Reading stuff like this really just shows me how hated White/European people are by non-Whites (And well, White Liberals hate themselves, also)

    Scary future ahead, I think.

  • Philip Nolan

Colbert may well be an ass, but this issue bores me to tears. Everybody is a victim, now, because when they were kids someone called them names and that constituted racial discrimination and so they are scarred for life. Is there a person alive who was not called names by someone when he/she was growing up?
If you want a multicultural society then you are going to have to get used to the occassional friction associated with it. And develop a thick skin so you can deal with life as a grown up and not have an infantile hissy fit everytime someone of a different color or ethnicity looks at you sideways.

  • Kristine ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

This story is trending on Facebook so I clicked it.

And this is what I see on the first page:

    “Christians for Michele Bachmann

Stephen Colbert is a horrible human being. As many know, Stephen is a sissy lib Jew who “plays” a Conservative Anglo American on his television “show”, The Colbert Report. I use the word “show” lightly.

Colbert pretends that he’s a stupid, racist, ignorant conservative and makes fun of all TRU WHITE ANGLO AMERICAN CHRISTIANS when he does it. His pitiful attempt at “humor” by way of racist satire is damaging to not only the Tea Party, but the entire COUNTRY. We are not stupid, nor racist, nor ignorant. We are TRU PATRIOTS who support the Constitution, who love Jesus, and love our fellow TRU WHITE ANGLO AMERICAN CHRISTIANS.

Racism and hatred have no place in the media, and no place in America. Hitler used racism and hatred and Jews are always complaining about him. How can Colbert do what Hitler did and still have a TV show? The sooner this sissy lib America-hating Jew is fired from his Jewish produced show, the better it is for TRU WHITE ANGLO AMERICAN CHRISTIANS (aka AMERICANS).

Join me in sending a message to the Colbert Report and tell them to fire that Jew and replace his show with some TRU WHITE ANGLO AMERICAN CHRISTIAN humor. Racist Satire has no place in 2014 America. Thank you for listening. ”

Anyone see the problem with this? PLEASE tell me you do. THIS is what people see as representative of the Tea Party.

      Derp racist.

      • Kristine ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

It’s 100% true he posted that. So… what is the problem here?

  • Slartibartfast

We, in S.C., have been apologizing for Stephen ever since he began thinking he was funny. He makes fun of his own state because we honor ALL of our Grandparents, whether we agree with them or not, yet lets rip a slur against Orientals (who, instead, should be honored for their ethics and habits of hard work and love of family – a very big deal in the Palmetto State.) South Carolina dislikes him so much (and liberal and progressives in general) to the point that his sister could not scrape up enough votes to defeat a philanderer and a clown for Congress..

  • NullPointerException

This is the due reward of your wondrous art, Colbert: let the music-master be the first to play.

  • loveann

Can’t stand Colbert, but all these phony hypocrites like chopsuey make me vomit. As long as Colbert,Maher,Stewart and the rest are insulting conservatives(especially conservative women),and Christians, they are overjoyed and lecture us not to be thin-skinned.But it sure hurts when it hits home doesn’t it.

Don’t worry,Steve.Publicly snivel a few crocodile tears and-poof!- your “progressive”street cred will be instantly restored.

  • Rbjk Rbjk

Ahh, yes; because those Asians ( and other minorities) whining, have never spoke or laughed at racist, stereotypical jokes about white races. Hmm, they sure do enjoy that hypocrisy. SMH.

  • GaryUSMCvet.

    Hey Colbert, you can avoid future dust-ups if you stick to hammering;

    1. conservative whites — backlash = none, not even a whisper
    2. conservative women — backlash = zero, not even from feminist
    3. conservative blacks — backlash = crickets, not a word from big mouth Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, or the NAACP
    4. The Tea Party — backlash = you’re a saint in the eye’s of liberals
    5. gun owners — backlash = will never happen
    However, prepare to get your azz handed to you on a silver platter if you dare offend;
    1. gays & lesbians
    2. blacks
    3. liberal women
    4. hispanics
    5. illegal aliens
    6. any and all other protected liberal group(s)

  • Brad Vacek

I’m a conservative white male who has spent decades walking on eggshells and being baited by self-righteous “liberals”. Because of this, if indeed Colbert did not write this tweet himself, I feel that outrage against him is misplaced. However, when I hear a tool like Bill Maher using a vile name to describe a conservative woman, they claiming it’s not misogyny because it’s “comedy” and get a pass, I find it difficult to feel sorry for any “liberal” who’d called out when his name is used to make a racist statement.

  • drw

So, she’s sick of white libs, and libs aren’t as bad as cons, but they’re bad, and white men get endless chances (really?), but she wants white people to help her reach her goal. Hmm, I thought the joke was truly childish, tasteless, completely lacking humor, and as hypocritical as I’ve seen but, She expects me (white conservative male) to be the worst of the worst so, I think I’ll just sit this one out.

    • tedlv

      Who is “she”?

      • Dragblacker

        Suey Park, presumably.

      • drw

Um, that would be the presumed female of Asian descent who took issue with the “joke” and then proceeded to insinuate that racism is only expected of white people, although white liberals not as much.

“#CancelColbert because white liberals are just as complicit in making Asian Americans into punchlines and we aren’t amused.”

“White people–please keep #CancelColbert trending until there’s an apology. This is NOT the burden of people of color. Fix it. Do something.”

  • Matthew Monroe

Its amazing though… blacks can make fun of asians… but brainless white man cant… HYPOCRITES!!! oh… and btw… I AM ASIAN AMERICAN!!!

  • GaryUSMCvet.

    “…Fix it. Do something.”

Do what? It’s more fun to watch you libs eat each other over a satirical remark. Guess you libs have no sense of humor unless a conservative is in the cross hairs.

  • EmptyThoughts

Im asian and im not offended at all. Im actually more surprised that my fellow asians are offended by this, than the actual comment itself… Really?? Hes a WHITE AMERICAN, what did you expect? for him to be racially sensitive? Does his comment really surprise/offend you at this day and age? a racist using “ching chong” as means to be funny is about as original as yo mama jokes. If thats the best hes got at an attempt to be funny, then maybe he should be canceled… (or at least forced to watch Gran Trino so he can learn some new racial slurs against asians.)

  • old motorcycle enthusiast

Spread the evidence across the world.

  • robert anthony

I love it when liberals fall victim to their fellow liberals’ language fascism.

  • robert anthony

Two Asian women were attacked by a black man in my town the other day. According to liberal rules, who is the victim in that scenario?

    • tedlv

Did he hurt his fists when he hit them in the face? He could sue for that.

    • OrionElectra

The black man of course! Those women enticed this law abiding citizen into committing a crime they knew he’d be forced to do!!

  • syvyn11

Seems like Colbert and his people are going to try the old shell game with this.

On one hand they put out that tweet, then they’ll turn around and say “oh, sorry. We’re just comics. We good?”

  • Peggie Thomas Huddleston

Liberals always do this to minorities and you respond by saying the other wide is worse…I am here to tell you that you must not really know the other side, because we are not worse. We respect people, regardless of their ethnicity…

Colbert has performed his chingchongdingdong bit for years. Oh you poor things, keep clutching those pearls, Twitchy.

    • OrionElectra

Ahh.. so, if you’re racist for a LONG ENOUGH PERIOD, it’s ok. How long do we have to merely disagree with Obama (and have your ilk tell us we’re racist for doing so) before it’s not racist? :)

      • tedlv

I am sure the liberals will find, or manufacture, something racist Bush said or did, making it OK for them to continue and make it worse.

      • Mick_Pearson

Chillax Cha-Cha, Colbert isn’t a racist, and neither are you.

    • Ironside

Yes and Godfrey Cambridge did his “Arthur Uncle” bit for years. But he was black.

    • Elizabeth

I don’t think it’s Twitchy that’s “clutching pearls” you moron.

      • Mick_Pearson

You must be the new kid in town.

        • Elizabeth

So Twitchy is reponsible for all the “pearl clutching” tweets? Suey Park works for Twitchy?

    • Nahalban

No twitchy just enjoys letting us watch liberals eat each other.

      • Mick_Pearson

Apparently Suey Park isn’t familiar with Colbert’s work.

        • Nahalban

Honestly doesn’t matter if she does or not she is a simple moron who in one tweet attacks white men and then in the next begs white men to help her ban Colbert, she needs to make up her tiny little mind.

    • EmptyThoughts

mick seems like the kind of guy who uses racial slurs around his friends but shuts his mouth as soon as a black dude walks by.

  • Lloyd Lofton

Colbert tweet wasn’t funny, cheap shot however suey park calling out “white men” why not Colbert, don’t think all “white men” sent tweet, not sure if “white men” is racist but clearly not all “white men” sent tweet or make these insensitive comments.

  • Ironside

Tommy Chong should sue his butt.

  • B-rad

I think it’s sad that minorities still believe the conservative=bad liberal=good meme.

The dezinformatsiya the KGB spread to the West and the Third World since
WW2 was so pervasive that it took on a life of its own. These people
who live on race and class division, or buy into it from people like
this woman, be they white or nonwhite, are just towing the socialist
line. Such is their unwitting indoctrination. They’re the minority “proletariat” fighting the white “bourgeoisie”.

  • Joel A. Edge

Well the Asians now have their panties in a wad. That only leaves southern whites as the only group that don’t give s**t if you make jokes about us, we win.

  • Phillip McAllister

Oh, Malkin. Lighten up. It IS just a joke for cryin’ out loud. Don’t gin up you sycophants for a non-issue here. They have been dealing with worse things than sophomoric humor for centuries.

  • Liberals have no morals

Don’t you silly people know. Democrats can say and do any racist thing. It’s alright for them and their puppet media but not anybody else.

  • CountMahdrof

Not a Colbert fan, but holy moly the sensitivity is getting to be too much. Outrage is lurking just below the surface of too many folks’ thoughts. It seems I’ve asked this a lot lately, but whatever happened to “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”? Now far too many have given Colbert a little too much space in their cranium. Besides, it’s hard to boycott something I never watch anyway.

    • EmptyThoughts

sticks and stones? you must be of white decent, living in a white community… i bet you also ask “why cant I use the word nigga? black people get to use it!!!!” try being discriminated against for a good majority of your life, try living in a world where people casually insult your ethnicity while being sensitive towards other ethnicities but your own. try to think outside of what you consider reality

Sorry Asians, but hardworking, successful, self-sufficient, family-oriented minorities that don’t need The Holy State don’t count in Lefty’ism. You’re practically white now — get used to it.

    • blockthiscnn

To be fair, where I live there isn’t a whole lot of that in the white community either. Hard work is generally not innate; it must be taught.

the “priviledged white men” comment is asinine. Im white, cant help that. I didnt choose my race. Im privilegded, in that I was born to a middle class family in the USoA. Im conservative, not liberal, but that doesnt particularly matter when it comes to racism or whatever this is called. My point is, not ALL priviledged white men are racists. The only thing im relieved at is it wasnt a Republican who said it. That doesnt make it “better” or “ok”, but at least I wont get attacked for that too.

Have you ever watched The Colbert Report? He’s NOT a liberal.

      • Ghee!

Yes, I have watched him. And every time I have I haven’t seen any evidence to convince me that he isn’t.

      • Nahalban

he is a “comedian” who portrays a conservative on a television shown aka FANTASY.

      • Indynana

He is a Liberal . He is a FLAMING Liberal!

Although, by his own account, he was not particularly political before joining the cast of The Daily Show, Colbert has described himself as a Democrat according to a 2004 interview.[110][111] In an interview at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard Institute of Politics, he stated that he has “no problems with Republicans, just Republican policies.”[112]

      • PeaceThruNoParties

It isn’t right when it’s done to a conservative of any stripe either. Nice assumptions added to my comment, though.

  • GrandLarsenE

I have to admit, even though I know it’s offensive to Asians, I laughed when I read it. Besides, isn’t he supposed to be a parody of a right-winger? So the joke would be ostensibly coming from his right-wing character, right? BTW, I liked how he used the word “Oriental” as if it’s some kind of slur or something. I still don’t get why that word is considered offensive. Oriental people come from a specific geographical region of the world called the Orient. It’s that simple. Nothing offensive about it. BTW, my wife is Oriental and she’s not offended by it. I think people need to lighten up.

  • Indynana

Doesn’t Colbert know that you are only allowed to ridicule and mock White Christian Conservatives? What is the matter with him!

  • Lonnie

Have any of you people even watched The Colbert Report? He is NOT a liberal! Geez… Ignorance is contagious, ya know!

    • Ghee!

Are you suggesting that Colbert is a conservative? You do know that the character he portrays on the show is supposed to be a conservative, right? Prove me wrong and I’ll apologize, but, Colbert is a flaming liberal until proven otherwise.

      • Lonnie

Yeah… Uh, not everybody is extreme right wing or extreme left wing. There are people who fit somewhere in between and that’s where Stephen Colbert is. Personally, I’m a conservative Libertarian /Republican /Constitutionalist.

        • Ghee!

No, not everyone is. But he is. I’m a Constitutional Christian Conservative as well. I don’t believe his shtick for one second though.

        • Indynana

From his own Mouth – he said he was a liberal. You can’t get any more clear than that .? I actually NEVER watched his show because he was insulting to so many people.

    • Nahalban

You do understand he only plays a conservative on a tv show right??? You see we have these things you might want to familiarize yourself with one is called fantasy (liberalism is great) and the other is called reality (liberalism is a mental disorder) learn it live it love it.

    • Ghee!

“Although, by his own account, he was not particularly political before joining the cast of The Daily Show, Colbert has described himself as a Democrat according to a 2004 interview…” From his Wiki page.

It seems the “anti-racist” racists didn’t miss this opportunity to pile on. Perhaps all this anti-white bias is still vestigial to their tacit acceptance of the superiority of white people? Yes, I said that to purposely provoke.

Rather than blaming “whites” for racist attitudes or calling on “whites” to do something about racist attitudes, why don’t we make appeals to the universality of humanity to correct all racist attitudes from all skin colors and ethnicities?

  • spaceycakes

and there’s another thing: what is ‘people of color’? Isn’t my pink skin a ‘color’? Aren’t we all a ‘color’? Jeez

    • Ghee!

Stop it right there, missy. We don’t use things like logic in debates with liberals. It only confuses them and gets them off their talking points.

      • Indynana

  • Jason Gary

Awwwwww, poor liberals. I feel so sorry for all the white people who are offended (twitter is full of white folks railing against Colbert this morning).

In all sincerity, it was an awful joke that was clearly offensive, but… he’s Colbert. When he makes an anti-white joke, everyone laughs. When he pokes fun at conservatives, everyone laughs (even conservatives). Everyone needs to grow up and stop being so wounded all the time.

I’m gonna research this issue right after I finish watching “Song of the South” BTW- I’m one of those drunken Irish guys ya’all make fun of…

    • Ghee!

      “drunk Irish”

      • Nahalban

what’s the difference between an irish wedding and an irish funeral?

        One less drunk person.

        • Indynana

There are only TWO kinds of people in this world 1 The Irish and 2. Those that wish they were Irish!

          • TBone Ryan

I am so offended!!! I am of Irish ancestry…. You all should be ashamed of your offensive comments about my ancestors and me…. Hey, want to get together for a beer?

          • Indynana

Well . Watch out people (liberals) I am ready to inflict some mortal wounds – WITH MY WORDS! (are you buying?)

    • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

      ‘Tis a Jewish Boyo, Faith an’ Begorrah! XD LOL Jawamax 8<{D}

      • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Isn’t it just precious how the liberals have revived a whole bunch of long-dead racial slurs in the name of demonstrating the racism they know conservatives have, but which they can’t prove?

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    If Steven Colbert is an “EEEEVVVIIILLL CONSERVATIVE” like me, then I’m BRUCE LEE (Hint:I’m not…) Either that, or he’s just BEGGING General Who? And Kim ILL-Yung to Nuke us… (NOTE:Only making fun of COMMUNIST LEADERS IN ASIA)…Jawamax 8<{D}

  • Jason Gary

If anyone is interested, the girl in the feed who started the “campaign,” Suey Park, is adorably, hatefully racist against whites. She literally never stops whining, and her facebook is basically just electronic masturbation.

    • Ghee!

      HA, electronic masturbation!

      • FreedomRecon

        Sounds painful?

    • SlimCharles

love how she calls on “white people” to keep her cause trending as if all white people are gonna get together tonight and take a vote

  • DANEgerus

. @amydcubbage won’t defend her white male husband from Colbert putting H8 speech in his mouth but will speak for all asians because she adopted one, mighty ‘ginger” of her

  • DANEgerus

. @suey_park “respect and enjoy your work” @ColbertReport putting H8 speech in the mouths of White Males but slip up and “Fuck you”

  • Stuart (Austin, TX)

So because a liberal white male makes an anti-Asian tweet, ALL white males are somehow guilty? There is no better example of prejudiced racial and gender stereotyping than that. The real lesson we should learn from this is that LIBERALS are lying racists, no matter their color or gender,

  • DANEgerus

“woman of color” eg. Asians, are only one step up the “designated victims” list from White Males. Need proof? Who loses their spot at UC Berkeley to the inner city kid with the 2.0 GPA huh? So pardon me if after years of having Colbert put words in my mouth I don’t cry a river of tears for the willfully stupid racists… one step up the ladder from myself. Call the WAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance.

  • DANEgerus

On a related note… have any ’round eyes’ had the privilege of spending time amongst the racially harmonious and welcoming people of Asian countries?

  • LibertyAtStake

Left-on-Left tweeter rhetorical violence. Excellent. Pop a bag of corn and enjoy watching the Lefties savage one another with their skin deep repartee. “White humor blows” my personal favorite so far.

  • SlimCharles

Live by the lib-pc sword, die by the lib-pc sword

  • John

Ching-Chong-Ding-Dong Foundation, that’s pretty good, can I use that sometime?

  • frank.castro.primoy

America lighten up, you could all shit diamonds already!

  • kateorjane

Not defending anyone but with all our PCness and taking offense we’re going to end up vapid, bland and humorless.
I suppose the white right winger/religious type will still be available as a target for “satire.”

    • SlimCharles

Unfortunately I think the PCness has already won. Its just so much fun getting offended and then becoming involved in meaningful causes like canceling a show on Comedy Central!

  • TBone Ryan

One of the commenters, who mentioned that he was torn, talked about the hypersensitivity, of people. He note he as half Asian. I think he hits the nail on the head. If everyone would lighten up and recognize every cultural background is ripe for good natured jokes, then we’d have a much more enjoyable salary. No doubt Colbert is NOT a racist nor does he have look down upon people with Asian backgrounds. It was a joke… not funny… but a joke. The real issues are liberal double standards and the liberal goal of creating this homogenous society ( read Stepford cities) whose everyday lives are controlled by the to government. Colbert will be “excused.” A conservative would be vilified for a lifetime over that kind of remark…. unless of course the conservative were to “come to Government Diety” and profess allegiance to the Government Control. Orwell was an oracle….

  • notenoughtime

Snarky insults are not satire. It cannot be off limits for some and not for others. But do not believe in knee jerk reactions and asking for someone to lose their jobs. If you don’t like it, use your remote. This delivers the message louder than the outcry.

  • frozeninbemidji

Clearly, these people don’t understand that when ‘progressives’ say racist things, it’s only a joke.

Actually, most of them probably still don’t understand the dangers of PCbs, but maybe someday.

  • Ryan Johnson
    • FreedomRecon

I knew that third one down was this week..wasn’t sure what day, so I just wore low cut tops all week :) Just helping out with office morale.

      • Ryan Johnson

        helped out indeed. *wolf whistle*

        …don’t sue me!

        • FreedomRecon

LOL *bows* Sue? Never! Especially not over a compliment!

          • Ryan Johnson

well you’re not like the others!

…wait, was that sexist? DON’T SUE

          • FreedomRecon

Ha! One of these days I’m going to post a picture of a sign that’s hanging in my office. (For context, I’m the only female in my office, knew this going in, and don’t expect them to change anything for me because I have girly parts). It says, “Sexual harassment in this office will not be reported. It will however, be graded.” :) Because, really, unless someone says, bl** me or lose your job, or something like that, is it really sexual harassment?

          • Ryan Johnson

What you wrote in parenthesis is welcome, actually. That’s the complete opposite of a story I read, a comment somewhere-this guy worked with all these other dudes on some construction site or other somewhere, but then a female got employed. The guys had been hanging up pictures of their favorite “Sunshine girls” (girls in bikinis in the daily newspaper) for years. The girl got offended, the guys were forced to take them down. They took their favorite ones home.

          • FreedomRecon

Gag, I so do apologize for some who claim to be the same gender as me. I see that all to often in my field. I could have sworn that equal treatment was what feminists fought for. But they don’t really want that do they? They want to change men to be more like women. Well no thank you! I like men that are men! Me? I probably would have just gone and found pictures of half naked hot men and hung them around. :)

  • Ryan Johnson

Whoever’s trying to talk some sense into Alexis, give it up. Lost cause.

    • Ghee!

      Lost cause indeed, geez.

  • Ryan Johnson

uh… why this dude got the hammer/sickle in his name?

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Isn’t that the douchebag that didn’t want to hear what someone said because she thought his avatar showed a white person?

      • Ryan Johnson

        not that person.

  • Ryan Johnson

So f*cking what! I was on omegle once (What? I was bored.) a couple years ago and upon seeing me I was called a n*gger once. I just nexted out of the conversation and got over it. Why can’t you get over sh*t that happened years ago?!

    • Spinmamma

Seriously? Perhaps because it happened when they were children and very impressionable, and perhaps because it was constant and not “once.”

      • Ryan Johnson

it still happened a long time ago. it’s just as stupid as “ban bossy.”

        • Spinmamma

You are probably right. Perhaps the people who took issue with it are still very young and their childhoods are not that distant.

          • Ryan Johnson

The young angle isn’t one I considered, that’s for sure.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

And because in spite of the fact that the racist bs is coming out of the mouths of the liberals, they are attributing it to us. A truly chickencrap maneuver, at the expense of decades of progress.
Think of it this way: If I was drunk off my *ss, with no inhibitions left, not a single racial slur could be gotten out of me. Not because I’m so good at hiding racism (as the liberals allege), but because I don’t talk like that or think like that. It can’t come out your mouth (or keyboard) if it isn’t floating around in your head to start with.

      • Ryan Johnson

exactly. the funny thing is they’re racist all the time… sober.

  • thohan

A gal named “Suey” complaining about what Colbert said. That’s rich.

  • Spinmamma

In all my life, I have never heard that offensive phrase, My son is married to a Chinese woman and three others of my close relatives are married to Asians. I was very saddened to learn that Asian children are subjected to such demeaning teasing. Where is this stuff learned?

    • FreedomRecon

      Lib parents.

    • spaceycakes

      Rosie O’Donnell

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Yup-they always have a collection of disgusting racial slurs ready to go, but it’s ok because they are just using them to demonstrate what incredible racists WE are.
      Sure. Stick to that story.

  • thohan

You know what’s worse than bullies? Anti-bully bullies.

  • jenndee

All my childhood I wore a back brace for severe scoliosis. I also was unfortunately tall, like hit 5’8 by the 5th grade. I was made fun of ALOT, for these things. As a special needs teacher, wife and mother I love what this gave me. Strength and a sympathetic heart. One thing it NEVER made me was a VICTIM! People have to stop getting so worked up over stuff like this. There is so much REAL hatred and ugliness in the world, the best thing you can do is put on a positive face to change it, take off the victim mask please!!

  • Bob Smetters

Well it is not nearly as funny as Rush’s “they can’t ban Oreos until Obama is out of office”, that’s for sure. He calls himself a comedian?

    • Ghee!

Satire, it doesn’t count. But, nice try. See it works both ways.

      • Bob Smetters

I actually thought Rush’s comment was kind of funny. I could understand why some wouldn’t though.

        • Ghee!

I did too. But, funny is offensive anymore.

    • Indynana

Rush ? doesn’t call himself a comedian – so you must mean Colbert?

      • Bob Smetters

        yes. Rush is funnier.

  • spaceycakes

“because satire does not use words that trigger traumatic memories of bullying”

oh really? Tell that to all your beloved comedians. ALL.

    • Ghee!

Remember that comedy gold by that precious red-headed comedian that wanted to pay to castrate conservative men?

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Can’t remember the last time I heard a comedian that was actually funny.
If dropping racial slurs in order to tell his followers what conservatives are thinking elicits laughs from his audience, that is very telling about both the “comedian” and his fans.

  • Indynana

Well . We don’t need bullets! Hell , we don’t even need a military!
We have HATE SPEECH and MEAN words to wound and kill people ! SO
Watch out people (liberals) I am ready to inflict some mortal wounds –
WITH MY WORDS! Look at obammy, He is going to “furrow his brow” at Putin and THAT should do the trick! what a bunch of babies !

  • FreedomRecon

I love the smell of liberal hypocrisy backfire in the morning.

    • Ghee!

      Or something. 😉

        the smeller’s the feller

    • Bob Smetters

Feigning outrage is in season all the time.

  • mrs_oerebts

The bit that he reran on his show was from 2005. He just used it to make fun of the foundation created by the Redskins’ owner. It was satire. Get over it/

    • Indynana

I have watched the Redskins play football. Several times = Do you know NOT once did I see a Redskin! I saw some whiteskins and a lot of Blackskins – But really I looked , but I just couldn’t find any ………

      • Bob Smetters

Looked like the Crips and Bloods out there, didn’t it?

        • Indynana

          More like Keystone Cops!

          • Bob Smetters

  • Macranthunter

You know what? I get it. And it isn’t funny – it’s serious – and Colbert is right. If the controversy is that you have a bigoted organization (this isn’t about racism BTW – most people miss that) then you can’t make good by making a charity in the name of the culture you are bigoted against. Get it? If “Redskin” is bigoted then “Original Americans Foundation” is just as bad.

Now I’m not a partner to this debate – I think the entire Redskin dust up is idiotic.

But if “Redskin” is a bigoted name then “Original Americans Foundation” is no better than “Ching Chong Ding Dong”. And I agree. Either stand behind Redskins as a team name or don’t. Offering a shell charity group (Original Americans Foundation) to try to appease is insulting. Ergo the potential Asian slur.

I get it and Colbert is spot on. Too bad liberal PC thinking has damaged people’s ability to rationally examine the message.

    • SutureSelf

You are exactly correct and people on both sides of the political divide are misunderstanding the issue in precisely the same way. Jonathan Swift is spinning in his grave.

  • Oink Trotters

Stephen Colbert is not funny and Suey Park appears to be overly sensitive.

  • SutureSelf

Grow some hide, for crying out loud. “Ooh, I’m offended, therefore you must be utterly and completely destroyed.”

Suey Park, by the way, is just another Chicago leftist, which in itself explains her reflexive politics of personal destruction.

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Thank you, Colbert for beautifully illustrating how liberals always have the most vile racial stereotypes and slurs on the tip of their tongues, in order to try to put them into the mouths of the supposedly racist conservatives.
If we actually were racist, you wouldn’t have to say perpetuate racism by telling your followers what you think we are thinking.
If you can’t prove that conservatives are the racists you think we are, you make up quotes and call it satire.
It’s a dead giveaway for who the race-obsessed really are.

  • Bob Smetters

They should send a petition to the WH to deport him if they don’t like what he says.

  • Indynana

Why do I keep wanting to say – Chop Suey !

    • Ghee!

Because you are an evil racist conservative.

      Embrace it.

      • Indynana

That is ONE thing I have never denied!

    • John Howard

Pai Gow! Pai Gow! Pai Gow!
Can’t stop saying that since visiting Fremont Street in Las Vegas.

  • Bob Smetters

The Catholic League has a campaign to get Maher thrown off because they don’t like him expressing his religious views. Maybe they can get together to silence these people.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

He has atheist views, doesn’t he?

  • Taxpayer1234

Hmmm, I wonder what the reaction would be had Chris Rock or Margaret Cho tweeted that.

  • mpg71396

Asian Americans blow up the liberal narrative that people of color are oppressed, helpless, and are in constant need of government assistance. That is why the liberals consider them fair game for bigotry. Look up Sharpton and Korean grocers.

  • marcellucci

    Asians are thin-skinned cry-babies.
    Love always,
    Don Rickles

  • AmericanLass

Comedy is meant to make you laugh, not make you sick.

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Don’t call for the cancellation of racist liberal shows.
Let them stand and shine for all to see who the real racists are.
Sure, they’re just saying horribly racist things because they can’t catch conservatives saying them on tape. Stick to that story.

  • doriangrey11

Call when when the Asian Community quits voting Democrat, then I will care about Liberal progressive insulting them.

Most Corrupt Administration in American History doing What?

  • NickGranite

Not sure why Asians even vote democrat. They dems seem to make it their mission to oust them from earned places in elite colleges for the inferior affirmative action candidates.

    • in_awe

Right now Dems in the CA legislature and progressives throughout the state are trying to push the overthrow of Prop 209 which bans the use of race in college admissions (among other things) – expressly because “too many Asians” are taking seats at UC campuses. Guess they must be the “wrong minority”. Heh

      • NickGranite

Yeah, the “party of science” seems to have a real problem with Darwin’s “survival of the fittest”. Same with abortion. They slaughter them before life has a chance to sort them out.

  • tombee

I love when liberals attack each other with words like “cis” and “paternalistic”. It totally brightens my day. Happy weekend everyone! Woo!

  • Truth

But liberals aren’t racist! It’s the conservatives who are the racists! That’s what the liberals always say. It’s got to be true, right? I mean, the liberals love Everyone, right? And the conservatives hate anyone not white, right? Gee, that’s what they’ve been telling us for years.
Those politically opposed to Obama are racists but those liberals who use the N-word or say things like “Ching Chong, Ding Dong” aren’t? Those fiscal conservatives who oppose government funding of contraceptives are involved in a “war on women” but those liberals who refer to women as “bitches” or the c-word really support women? Liberals are not only hypocrites, they are compulsive liars as well.

    • in_awe

Google LBJ and “200 hundred years” for insight into liberals and their interest in minorities.

      • Truth

Amazing! And the ignorant sheeple continue to support them. He said it exactly the way it is. Keep power by making them think that they really care about them by giving them things that they will be eternally grateful for ever election day.

Branvoices, I quite agree. On a daily bases I hear blacks whining about slavery and want “reparations” and shit. I hear Mexicans whine about the US when it tries to protect it’s border. And yet, the Native Americans were not blocked from illegal entry to America hell, THEY WERE ALREADY HERE! And though they were not enslaved, they were massacred by the thousands and endured and endless cascade of un-deserved attacks and an unofficial government policy of genocide. Their lands were taken under the guise of officially signed government to government treaties that were never honored. Yeah, blacks and Mexicans, they have alot to complain about……..

  • CrustyB

I’m done watching Colbert. Wait, I never watched Colbert. Never mind.

  • schizuki

    Don’t “other” me, bro!

  • Madfoot713

The Right needs their own version of the Colbert Report. The left seemed like the “logic and science” party for a while, but the SJWs are comedy gold and just waiting for good satire of them. The invention of tumblr is probably the best recruiting tool for the GOP in 30 years.

    • © Sponge

      The funny/sad thing is…..

Liberals think Colbert is ULTRA conservative. They think he’s the conservative ying to Jon Stewart’s liberal yang.

Now that he’s laid down the racism, he will be labeled as a TEA Partier……

      • Mick_Pearson

Liberals think Colbert is ultra conservative?
        You poor thing.

  • Freedom_Road

I am white, so stop right there, racism can exist between any two different groups. The problem it shouldn’t and it doesn’t matter the color enough already of race baiting and stupid liberals getting away with being the biggest racists and trying to point the finger at someone else!!! I am married to in my opinion the most beautiful Japenese woman in he world and not once did it even cross my mind that it should matter except I loved everything about her!!! End of story!

  • yourmamatoo

Liberal hypocrites, once again ignoring, making excuses for their bigots.

  • Magnifico

Liberals have a mental list of the most/least sensitive groups or races, and apparently they mistakenly thought Asians were up there with white men and Christians. Blacks, Muslims, and homosexuals, for example, are completely off limits.

  • twinx

I am so laughing at all this. Free speech cuts two ways, eh? The object of free speech is to protect the things you don’t want to hear, NOT the things we all agree with. No one is forcing one to read or watch Colbert. I work with an extremely diverse crowd, 99.9% Liberal. I think the crazies in the above story would flip their beanies if they knew how racist and sexist their fellow Liberals are. I’ve overheard comments that they wouldn’t even believe.
My advice to Suey (I really, really wanted to call her Chop Suey, but I restrained myself)? Unbunch your panties.

Frankly, the overwhelming majority of Asian people I have met and known are the nicest, hardest working and kindest of any race of people I’ve ever encountered. So I agree that the “joke” was in poor taste and exhibits underlying racism on Colbert’s part. Too bad. I have enjoyed some of his shows.

  • crossbones

“white liberals are just as complicit in making Asians into punchlines…”
As complicit as who, Suey Park? An identifier and some proof would be helpful.

  • SandyIam

Who cares? So what? Big deal? Being “offended” is such a First World problem…..why don’t you whiners find REAL problems to worry about ……

  • Hy Alldredge

The funny part isn’t the joke, but the resultant twitter conniption fits from offended liberals. “The #privilege it takes to reexplain the “joke” as if it’s OUR misunderstanding not their lack of empathy that’s the problem” Hilarious! Conservatives need to ramp up the mockery and stop trying to be polite – it’s a potent weapon and liberals are SUCH easy targets.

  • JDW

If Colbert were a Conservative the Left-wing (mainstream) media would be asking for his head and demanding reparations from Comedy Central.

  • bruce livingston

This needs to end, the angry mob every time someone makes an off color comment. I know it’s biased towards conservatives, and liberals usually get a pass. Frankly that’s the worst part about it, the double standard.

  • lazypadawan

I don’t know which is more pathetic, liberal fans’ knee-jerk defense of Colbert or the Social Justice Warriors’ knee-jerk condemnation for what was obviously meant as satire. Stephen Colbert has made a living off of perpetuating a stereotype to amuse people who have never really met a conservative. He’s not making racist jokes at Asians’ expense, he’s making clumsy jokes at *our* expense, but utterly failed to pull it off this time. Now the Madame Dufarges want to cancel him.

Let’s just sit back, relax, and watch the fireworks.

  • Connor Kenway

And they call us racist. I just love seeing liberals eating their own like this. Tho to be far Colbert does this all the time and you liberals finally figured out that this can sound racist. Even tho I do not think he should be canceled it is called free speech.

    • ErikandKathy Muller

They are right about white liberal men being racist…when Hillary was running for pres in 08, Bill made a remark about Obama..saying “a few years ago, he would have been my house boy” HYPOCRITES ALL!!

Most of them don’t even know about it. Think the LSM reported it? I don’t. Can’t stand them, so I didn’t check; I admit that.

  • MrDrT

Get over it. It’s been fashionable for decades in his circles to stereotype and ridicule people from the southern US as white trash and as slope-headed bigots. I suppose when you surround yourself with haters you’re eventually going to slip and say something honest that reveals what you believe about people who aren’t like you.

  • Michelle ✓classified

I just can’t stomach this man, never have. He’s not a comedian, he’s not a newscaster, he’s nothing more than a hateful and hate-filled idiot with a TV show. Most unfortunately, my Other likes watching this show at bedtime (and he’s a hardcore, registered Republican – so I don’t get it how he likes watching this idiot’s show) so I am frequently an unwilling audience to the Colbert Report. He is so bias, and so hateful, and so extreme – and mostly, just not funny. My Other also likes watching the Jon Stewart Show which I actually find tolerable because at least Stewart doesn’t pull punches and isn’t afraid to bash his own party. But the most upsetting part of the existence of Colbert’s show is that low-info, easily entertained voters take his BS as actual news and…vote accordingly.

And it’s not simple satire or simple comedy when a person relentlessly bashes the Right, most often spinning truth and painting pictures that don’t exist, and do so knowing darn well his audience believes the “satire” as reality. His nonsense influences votes and he knows it, and is damn proud of it.

I didn’t laugh at this-Colbert just isn’t funny IMO-but I didn’t see what was so offensive about it. Kinda reminds me of former Comedy Central host Carlos Mencia’s recurring theme that white people can’t mock any other race in any way, shape or form without getting beat down with undue criticism.

This is even more ridiculous than the “asian community” going after M. Night Shyamalan for casting “pasty white actors” in roles that they assumed were supposed to be asian in “The Last Airbender” (in retrospect, they should be thankful that no “asian actor” was in that abomination of a film).

#CancelColbert b/c making fun of minorities isn’t being progressive.

There are more than 6.5 billion people in the world today. Nearly 2/3 of them are Asians living on less than 1/3 of the land. Only about 5% of the world’s people live in North America.

These numbers are a bit old, obviously, but i would imaagine the ratios are about the same

so how are Asians minorities again?!?

Just because Colbert is white doesn’t mean all white people are racist towards Asians. Asians aren’t the only ones that get picked on in school either. In fact, I’m white and in 7th grade I got jumped by 3 Asians because one of their girlfriends liked me. Stop lumping all white people together because that just makes you a racist too. I highly doubt Colbert is a racist, but who knows, and although I don’t like his joke either, you all seem to forget this is America and we have a little thing called freedom of speech. I don’t like Colbert so I don’t watch him. If you don’t like Colbert then don’t watch him. Don’t ask all white people to call for his show to be canceled, that’s racist. Practice something called tolerance. If you don’t want freedom and to be told what you can and can’t do then get the hell out of my America. Asians aren’t the only race to be made fun of. Watch a black person’s stand up routine and I guarantee most of them make fun of white people.

    A typical response to a once-popular opinion.

People who enjoyed the Colbert Report have changed their mind off of a single joke that was off kilter. The writers to this show must have mistaken their joke for funny. This makes for a horrifically offensive ratio of what must be 1/1000 of The Colbert Reports jokes NOT being funny.

Typical of people these days, their loyalty only lies in perfection. The viewers of Stephen’s show are apparently a group of hipsters who have tired of his jokes, and want to be able to move on. Gosh! If only his show weren’t popular I could watch The Daily Show without being uncool!

Which begs the question “WHY WATCH IT?” If I wanted a bunch of unfunny, out of context, misleading misinformation from liberal shill, Obama fans, I’d just tune to MSNBC.

  • Mickey O’Brien

A grasping at comedy straws moment. Not at all funny.

I am a white male and I do not appreciate being lumped into the category of white male oppressor. Blame the one who said this horrendous statement, satire or not, Steven Colbert. Send a message that its wrong on the statement of fact, not whether or not its white, black, male or female.

  • gjsmith_62

What a bunch of whiners. Sheesh, I despise Colbert’s schtick, but seriously, get a grip.

OTOH, Colbert getting his just desserts suites me fine. The racists have always been the democrats.

Which side of the civil right with a twenty five year expiration date are they on? Or the latest, Schuette v. Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action?

    • Mick_Pearson

Colbert has done his chingchongdingdong shtick for ten years now, I highly doubt he is losing any sleep over this.

      • gjsmith_62

Oh! So, a racist schtick is A-ok, provided a liberal is running the show?

  • JoeDrager

A liberal racist; say it ain’t so.

  • Bob Wynne

I thought I was raised around racists. I guess not. I am 56 and I have never heard that combination of syllables used in a bullying or hurtful way before. I would not have even known that those words had a history until I read this.

It’s a new era. The standards on which to be (exploit being) offended have changed. At Duke University, a fraternity had a pacific island themed party one year, and encouraged attendees to dress in asian attire. The Asians on that campus took it upon themselves to find that offensive.
