Today, March 1, marks the second anniversary of Andrew Breitbart’s death by heart failure. His name lives on, though, both through the website that bears his name and through those who remember him as a friend and an inspiration.

“Andrew Breitbart was a giant among men, and we will not see his kind come our way again,” reads the tribute at “But his passion, his resolve, his patriotism will not fade from living memory as that has been passed on to the men and women who labor everyday in his memory to bring you the news, information, and analysis that are the foundations of our freedoms and our country.”

Prayers for his wife and kids whose lives will never be the same and for those who continue his good fight for a country that is worth dying for.

Agree with prayers for family but what he did to Shirley Sherrod is unforgivable.

      • Sara B

Please go back and look into that story(Bing Pigford). You will see that Shirley and her husband became rich on subsidies meant for black farmers who were discriminated against. Ms. Sherrod is no victim and knows how to use race to enrich herself and her family.

You mean how, in the TEXT of the article accompanying the excerpt of videotape, he lays out how she eventually tells the audience how she came to help the white farmer? You mean how the Obama Administration jumped the gun because of the “optics” and pressured her to resign– something Andrew Breitbart never called for?

Your beef is with those who went off half-cocked. AB’s point was that the NAACP meeting was full of people expressing far more racial animus against whites than attendees at any Tea Party event have ever done, and yet the NAACP is not called “racist” because it’s against the rules somehow.

AB’s unpardonable crime was trolling, rolling and pwning the MSM, the Administration, and the liberal intelligentsia.

Oh please. Don’t pretend like you really give a flying f*ck about Shirley Sherrod. She said what she said.

Edit: BTW – her husband is a blatant racist as well as she is.

P.S. Kelly, you might want to reconsider the use of the word “unforgivable.”

    He showed us possibilities…

The fact that libs are still spewing venom about him today, two full years after his death while in the same breath trying to brush him off as irrelevant shows just how big an impact he made in this world. RIP Andrew Breitbart #WAR

I still recall the moment I heard the news early that morning and thinking, hoping it was a joke, then I realized it was March 1, not April 1. But I know there are the countless carrying on his legacy.

    • Harry A

“there are countless carrying on his legacy”

Hav to disagree with you there, haven’t seen anybody step up to the plate yet. Everyone today just talks to people who already agree with them, Breitbart’s legacy is about taking the message out of the echo chamber.

God bless Breitbart. The fight continues…..

Even though I never met him. His death really hit me hard. I remember the moment I found out that he past, seeing the headline at Drudge. I had to refresh the page several times praying to God it was an error. He was a maverick and a true patriot. His death is undeniably a huge blow to the tea party movement.

In some ways, disrespect for liberty and individual responsibility results from misunderstanding the lessons of science.
