That seems like quite a leap. The Walt Disney Company has been offering its employees benefits for their same-sex partners since 1996, but a princess marrying a princess? Spoiler warning for “Frozen”: the princess doesn’t marry the prince in this one, but she does end up with “ice dude.”

Plenty think it’s time for Disney to move ahead with same-sex couples and families.

What do the rest of you think?

Some are encouraged by the “baby steps” Disney has been taking.

What about Oaken’s gay family?

  • Tugger – ✓unamused

Sally, I think I speak for a large segment of society when I say “F*uck You”.(Not litterally, but figuratively)

    • Calcat36

I would ask her why would it really matter? Why do liberals pigeon hole people into groups? Would a fictitious (AHEM) “marriage” in cartoon land make her “FEEL” more accepted?

How about leaving the cartoons to kids and NOT using cartoons to push an agenda on the littlest among us?

      • syvyn11

The more they separate us, the more they can play us against each other.

        • Calcat36

Liberals pigeon hole their victims into groups. Conservatives see it for what it is. Racism. Bigotry. Hatred. Plantation mentality.

      • almarquardt

One of the things I loved about Frozen was there was no political agenda attached.

      • Frustrated Teacher

But that is they way the operate….it is their M.O.

    • John Castigo

..yes, of course. How about instead we have a “coming of age” animated movie wherein one of the seven dwarves decides he he wants to be a chick and wants to date Sleepy Or is only lesbian homosexuality supported?.

      • Gregg Hammerquist

That’s what I was thinking; Sally Kohn is a misandrist.

        • John Castigo

By default, aren’t all female homosexuals misandrists?

          • Gregg Hammerquist

            Not necessarily but often.

  • TheAmishDude

    Typical parasitic left.

They could make a movie of their own, independent of the Disney system and see if it’s popular and compelling. But they’d rather take the existing institution (in this case, Disney animation) and mooch off of it.

    • DaMello ®

Exactly! Those who can organize a Pride Rally can’t organize something like, oh say, the Gay Scouts? Let the Free Market decide!

      • nc ✓s & balances

STOP! Have you thought about what you’re saying?

        • V the K

Yes, he’s proposing an organization for liberal parents who want to send their young boys off into the the woods for long weekends with gay men. What could possibly go wrong?

          • Kathy Horner Somers

The point is… Who would send their kids?

      • H50 ✓RAT

Actually, I think that could be a good idea. The gay population is such a small segment of the overall population that it would fail. But, hey everyone involved would be totally supportive and their uniforms would be to die for….

        • Kathy Horner Somers

    • Catchance

Actually, I found the whole discussion really disturbing. This is indoctrination on steroids.

      • Bill Phillips

Indoctrination on steroids and coming to a public school near you ….even more disturbing is might already be happening at a school near you!

        • Calcat36

Woodrow Wilson fought for women’s suffrage…

A point that my daughter gladly told her history indoctrinator that that was not the truth.

It is happening. Know what your children are being taught.

Yes, I will not stop now until he is fired for telling her to sit down and shut up. Who does he think he is? Woodrow Wilson jailing and torturing suffragists in 2013?

    • Michael Rice

I have said that Christianity for years. Why does the left always need to hijack a faith or a religion? Start their own…call it the log cabin Methodists or something.

      • TexSizzle

They already hijacked a church group called the Metropolitan Community Church. My sister finds it highly amusing that the one in Corinth, TX, is on a dead-end street with a “NO OUTLET” sign at its entrance.

    • kenhowes

The point is that they know that Disney is run by a crew that sympathizes with them but has a brand name that is identified with wholesomeness. If they can break this down, they reach all the little tykes in the country with the gay message, and they think that they can break it down because of the powers that be inside the company.

    • AntiquityNow

Thank you for your observation! Conservatives tend to respect existing institutions and establish their own to convey a political agenda. On the other hand, Liberals are fanatical about taking over supposedly neutral institutions (in education, bureaucracy, entertainment, etc.) and pushing their warped view on decent yet unsuspecting folks. Liberals are also shocked when they don’t control every aspect of government as they feel it is their natural right as the “government” party. They will not be content until they pervert every last aspect of American culture then blame it on others when everything falls apart.

    • URGR82

Mooch? Hah! I’d say more like harassment.

    • Summerwarmth

Yes, but if it was a movie outside of the Disney system they could not then insist that the character be included in all the Disney princess lines, be part of Disney promos, part of the on site Disney experience, even on birthday cakes and etc and promoted as Disney.
Disney has a huge in road into children’s lives including the Disney channel. Once the foot is in the door then there would be an insistence for a tv show and etc etc etc. Parents who did not agree would basically have to discontinue the Disney channel and all Disney video, Internet, and etc. If any other Disney character was featured then this character would have to be too or there would be a law suit.
Personally, I would have no issues except I see a lot of it as agenda driven – protest if there is any hint of Christianity so that Christians are driven out but also protest if their character is not right in the front and featured. I think people should just live and let live.

  • H50 ✓RAT

I suppose they could if they wanted to.

    But that begs two questions;
    Would anyone take their kids to go see it, and;
Dont our kids already get enough indoctrination thru Common Core?

Right. We don’t need to know…

          Every non-gay pride parade.

          • Servo1969

Every parade that doesn’t celebrate homosexuality is a NON-gay pride parade?

Well, there you have the reasoning of the modern gay-rights movement:

            What a f*cking crock of sh!t.

Fella’s in deep to a loan shark, needs a ton o’ cash quick, finds out there’s an experiment where they’re gonna try to mate human males with female gorillas “to see if anything happens.” He goes there, does the nasty.

Place is busted, he’s brought in front of a judge the next day, he pleads guilty, judge asks him, “C’mon, didya really, umm, y’know… with a female gorilla?”

“Of course a female, do you think I’m a pervert?”

            I don’t care who y’are, that’s funny, right there…

          • TugboatPhil

In any given area of life, something that is the overwhelming majority in a particular category or behavior is “normal.” Otherwise, we’d have no need for the word “normal.”

          • Maxx

Agreed. In addition, only 3.8% of the population appear to be gay. Significantly less than the oft-overhyped statistics over the years designed to sell this lifestyle as mainstream.

Normal might not be the right word. Rare would be more accurate and thus a liberal pushing for Disney to highlight something that only occurs in less than 4% of the population most certainly qualifies as “agenda driven.”

          • Calcat36

Even lower than that? Law abiding firearms owners shooting up schools!

      • BlahBlah

Just curious – do you think it is also ‘normal’ for 9 year old girls to have boys in their school bathrooms because boys said they “feel” like girls? Do you think it is ‘normal’ to have something like that forced on a 100 little girls to satisfy 1 person of different orientation?

        • WhoDat

I have no issue with a transgender person using a restroom they believe they should use.

What I asked was not that at all. Nowhere even close. I asked about scores of little girls.

          • Calcat36

            That is typical liberal deflection.

It only matters until a grown man visits his daughter in her stall…

          • WhoDat

A transgender female feels she is a female, and feels she should use a women’s restroom.

I’m assuming you feel that there will be someone, who is a male, will abuse it, and take advantage of the girls?

          • Michael Rice

That or it will scare the heck out of the little girl.

          • BlahBlah

Nooooo! I mean it never happened before, why would it happen now????

I’m an adult so really if a guy came to use the ladies’ restroom I wouldn’t really care.

But again for the 10th time this isn’t about you or me or any adults that can take care of themselves. I was asking you about little girls (bolded hoping that it would finally register) who are not really capable of taking care of themselves and who are children and as such shouldn’t have to worry about these things.

It knows. Mind you, the christian attitude it is displaying…

          • WhoDat

          • BlahBlah

Wait you really really really think that at age 9, or 6 for that matter, children don’t know the difference between genders and also that they are not self conscious in the presence of the opposite gender, let alone in the bathroom which should be a private place?

Are you THAT stupid or just so incredibly callous so that you’d say/do anything just to advance this insane agenda?

Edit to add that I’m thoroughly disgusted and that I hope you never have any children.

          • sambar2

“Are you THAT stupid or just so incredibly callous so that you’d say/do anything just to advance this insane agenda?”

This is the question I want to ask every liberal ever.

          • WhoDat

If you’re living as a girl and want to use the girl’s bathroom, or vice-versa, what’s the issue?

You said the bathroom is a private place, are people looking at each other’s genitalia to verify what someone is?

Well, I hope my kids have an open mind.

          • BlahBlah

This is not about an open mind you halfwit. This is about children not having to feel threatened at every turn. If 1% of kids are transgender the other 99% shouldn’t have to pay for it. The other 99% shouldn’t have to feel scared to go to the bathroom. At 6 or 9 the notion of “open mind” doesn’t exist. And if you want to introduce it well the best way would be to force it on them, is that it?

Transgender kids should have separate bathrooms, problem solved. There is no need on this earth to dump this on all the other children how do you not get this. They are too young to grasp this whole “gender confusion” whatever.

You know what is the most appalling of this whole thing? You and yours scream bloody murder when someone feels that gays can be straightened out. But now you are doing the same to the straight kids/people! Have you not learned anything? People are born with a sexual orientation, they can’t be changed into something else. We agree on this? So why now try to force straight kids into something they are not? Growing up is hard enough but hey let’s confuse them into thinking that they *should* be gay. Because that is less wrong than telling gay kids that they should be straight.

You are simply a disgusting pile of putrid crap.

          • WhoDat

Making transgender children use a separate bathroom just advances the stigma more.

No one is telling kids they should be gay.

I’m sorry, I just don’t see the problem with letting what a child self-identifies with use the bathroom for what sex they identify with.

          • BlahBlah

I repeat – either you’re too stupid to be alive or just plain callous and would do anything for your insane agenda and to hell with who it harms. Either way as a human being you’re worth less than an amoeba.

          • WhoDat

Well, good day to you, then.

          • Calcat36

It is their stigma to embrace, taught b liberal stooges.

          • Maxwell

I’ll try to sound civil since everyone seems to be hounding on you.

For me, it’s a privacy concern, and a safety concern. A girl who identifies as male but has not received any type of operation, would be at risk for harassment, or, worse, rape.

On the flip, a boy who identifies as female walks into the girl’s restroom creates an uncomfortable situation for the girls, who have some expectation of privacy from boys in their respective restroom.

I’ve been trying to figure out where to insert this flashback into this conversation, this is as good as place as any.

Back when I was about 5 or 6, my Mom took us girls to visit a friend of hers. I don’t remember who, but I remember that this person had a son that was about 2-3 years older than me. So we were on our way out, coats on and all, when I hear the boy call my name. I turn to look and lo and behold, the boy’s got his junk out, flashing me. I was so mortified that I beat it out of there as fast as possible. It frightened me so much that I did not ever tell my Mom what happened.

Now, some 40 years later, that memory is still imprinted on my mind. The feelings come back of shame and shock, but according to others…I’m over-reacting.

            Nope, I don’t think so.

Seek professional mental health treatment ASAP.

          • Ryan Johnson

Thank you. My mom had to go to the bathroom at work once with a man in there with painted fingernails, trying to be a woman. Of course she couldn’t say shit about it at risk of losing her job.

          • Reverend Ken

Every time he comments he re-enforce the fact that “gay” is a mental disorder that needs to be dealt with.

          • Ryan Johnson

The only thing we can really do is pray. These are troubled times we live in.

      • AmericanMom

Sounds like you need to spend some time in the LGBT zone and see just how “normal” they are.

      • TugboatPhil

You do realize that you just described the agenda of the political, homosexual activists.

      • sambar2

Hogwash. Jounalist and LGBT activist Masha Gessen admitted in a radio interview what the true agenda is:

“It’s a no-brainer that (homosexual activists) should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. …(F)ighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there — because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie.

The institution of marriage is going to change, and it should change. And again, I don’t think it should exist. And I don’t like taking part in creating fictions about my life. That’s sort of not what I had in mind when I came out thirty years ago.

I have three kids who have five parents, more or less, and I don’t see why they shouldn’t have five parents legally… I met my new partner, and she had just had a baby, and that baby’s biological father is my brother, and my daughter’s biological father is a man who lives in Russia, and my adopted son also considers him his father. So the five parents break down into two groups of three… And really, I would like to live in a legal system that is capable of reflecting that reality, and I don’t think that’s compatible with the institution of marriage.”

        Article here:

        Audio here:

To say the agenda is devious is the understatement of the century.

        • Bill Phillips

Demented would be a more accurate description than merely calling them devious ….though agreed …. that they truly are devious!

        • NRPax

Good Lord; you can’t do enough drugs to have that convoluted thinking make sense.

      • Maxx

Most recent polling data reveals that just under 4% of the population are gay, considerably lower than previously overhyped statistics throughout the years.

With that in mind, contrary to your denial, it does seem agenda-driven that a liberal lesbian would want Disney to highlight a segment of the population that, statistically, remains quite rare.

      • Calcat36

        Who defines NORMAL, you?

        • WhoDat

If a same sex couple loves each other, takes care of each other, love their kids, and work hard, I’d call that pretty normal.

          • Calcat36

What would Jesus call it, deceiver?

          • WhoDat

Not sure, Jesus never spoke about same-sex couples.

          • Calcat36

Oh you fool! Did He not follow the law of His Father?

Jesus was a Jew. Subject to the Old Testament and His Father’s teachings handed down to man at that time. Jesus never broke the law.

            Try again, rabbi?

          • Richard Jefferies

            Sure he did. Jesus said

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.”

Homosexuality was already forbidden under Jewish Law, so there was no reason he needed to expound upon it, and since he didn’t denounce it, it sands that he agreed with it.

          • Calcat36

Then He (God), drove the nail home with Sodom and Gomorrah.

          • Richard Jefferies

Yes, but that was before Jesus, and it wasn’t just about homosexuality. Homosexuality isn’t the cause, it is the symptom. Its wide acceptance is like a festering, purulent soar on the body politic. The cancer is rebellion against God.

          • Calcat36

I would argue that the two angels would disagree with you. As you typed, Jesus did not apologize for Sodom and Gomorrah, and that was an example of God’s law. Nor did Jesus recant Leviticus 18: 21’You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD. 22’You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. 23’Also you shall not have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion.…

            I could be wrong…

EDIT: Genesis was before Jesus using your thought process, yet Jesus always was, always is, and will always be…

          • WhoDat

Curious, do you demean people who wear cotton/poly blends or eat pork and shell fish for being sinners?

            Leviticus 11:9-12

9 “Of all the marine animals, these are ones you may use for food. You may eat anything from the water if it has both fins and scales, whether taken from salt water or from streams. 10 But you must never eat animals from the sea or from rivers that do not have both fins and scales. They are detestable to you. This applies both to little creatures that live in shallow water and to all creatures that live in deep water. 11 They will always be detestable to you. You must never eat their meat or even touch their dead bodies. 12 Any marine animal that does not have both fins and scales is detestable to you.

          • Calcat36

I reject magic underwear, cultist troll.

Show me that in Leviticus, and then we can discuss.

          • WhoDat

It’s a remembrance of a covenant, much like those the Israelites made. They were told to wear tassels as a sign of their belief.

          • Calcat36

Wrong, cultist! Try learning the truth! The garment was introducedas part of temple worship by Joseph Smith (THE CRIMINAL, The Glass Looker), Mormon Cult founder during the Nauvoo period sometime around 1842-43, about seven weeks after he had been initiated into Freemasonry. Smith was heavily influenced by the Old Testament and often used OT conceptions of priesthood as the basis for the temple worship. Joseph Smith was also influenced by his modern surroundings in designing garments.

Shellfish, given the time, was restricted because it was considered unclean, ie, UNSANITARY. Think SUSHI today, idiot.

Same reason that homosexuality is an abomination, in case AIDS/HIV eludes you. No one gets those homosexual diseases from shellfish, cultist.

          • WhoDat

All those straight people who have HIV/AIDS might want to ask you about it being a homosexual disease.

          • Calcat36

Yeah, so now you deny the truth! How did they get the blood borne disease again?

There is NOT ONE account of a heterosexual, NORMAL couple ever contracting the disease outside of drugs/prostitutes/blood transfusions from infected abusers.

          • Onyx

          • Gregg Hammerquist

His comment on mixed fibers is an Old Testament command. The Jews were told not to blend fibers; not a Mormon comment. And try not being a bigot yourself sometime.

          • mike_in_kosovo

Curious, do you demean people who wear cotton/poly blends or eat pork and shell fish for being sinners?

When you find a Scripture mentioning cotton and polyester, let us know.

As for the pork/shellfish thing, I refer you to Acts, Chapter 10, verses 9-15:

About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.
13Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

14“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

          • Bill Phillips

            Excellent reply!

          • Bill Phillips

Jesus would call it sin & an abomination. Forgivabe …but sin no less!

          • Calcat36

All sin is forgivable, Bill, but you take my comment/reply out of context. Get to know whodat and how he agitates, while claiming to be a Christian and supporting everything Jesus would condemn.

Jesus did not come here to make nice. He came to divide and gave dire warning about His return for those that did not accept Him.

          • Bill Phillips

My reply was intended to back up your retort to WhoDat! I’m in agreement with you.
I’m well aware of WhoDat & his/her leftist trolling on Twitchy! My only question to you and anyone else who is aware of his trolling …Why waste your time ‘feeding’ the troll?

          • Calcat36

You got me there. Hat Tip Sir.

I miss reading between the lines as well, Bill. My apology.

          • Bill Phillips

Apology accepted! It’s difficult to keep a cool and level head when we try to reason with those like WhoDat, who defend the indefensible!
It might well fit the biblical admonition to NOT “cast pearls before swine”…as I understand it!

          • Calcat36

He has yet to tear me to pieces.

2 Timothy 4: 1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,…

Laudable– MAYBE. “Normal”– ‘fraid not. Not that such a word means anything any more. But any fool knows there’s something unusual about it. Not exactly the sort of thing you run across every day. Not even that there’s anything else out of the ordinary about these folks, but “normal” ain’t a word that describes it.

The left pushing this stuff of other people’s children is an agenda. They are trying to get other people’s kids to think the way the left thinks. Let people raise their own kids, in their own way. If parents want their kids to know about homosexuality, then they can tell their kids all about it. But leave other people’s kids alone.

      • Michael Rice

WhoDat, you’re just digging yourself into a hole on that…

Democrat Senators organized the record Senate filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Included among the organizers were several prominent and well known liberal Democrat standard bearers including:
        – Robert Byrd, senator from West Virginia (high-ranking member of the KKK)
        – J. William Fulbright, Arkansas senator and political mentor of Bill Clinton
        – Albert Gore Sr., Tennessee senator, father and political mentor of Al Gore. (Gore Jr. has been known to lie about his father’s opposition to the Civil Rights Act.)
        – Sam Ervin, North Carolina senator of Watergate hearings fame
        – Richard Russell, famed Georgia senator and later President Pro Tempore

The Democrats were the majority party in both the Senate and the House. 60% voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964, while over 80% of Republicans voted for it.

        • WhoDat

So, then, a majority of Democrats did vote for it.

          • Calcat36

            You already know this, LIAR:

June 9, 1964 Republicans condemn 14-hour filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act by U.S. Senator and former Ku Klux Klansman Robert Byrd (D-WV).

June 10, 1964 Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) criticizes Democrat filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act, calls on Democrats to stop opposing racial equality. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was introduced and approved by a staggering majority of Republicans in the Senate. The Act was opposed by most southern Democrat senators, several of whom were proud segregationists-one of them being Al Gore Sr. Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson relied on Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen, the Republican leader from Illinois, to get the Act passed.

August 4, 1965 Senate Republican Leader Everett
Dirksen (R-IL) overcomes Democrat attempts to block 1965 Voting Rights Act; 94% of Senate Republicans vote for landmark civil right legislation, while 27% of Democrats oppose. Voting Rights Act of 1965, abolishing literacy tests and other measures devised by Democrats to prevent African-Americans from voting, signed into law; higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats vote in favor.

          • mike_in_kosovo

Yes, they did… and a LARGER majority of Republicans also voted for it.

            Overall vote:
            Dems: 64% for, 36% against
            Reps: 80% for, 20% against

They tried to get Princess Merida from Brave be a lesbian as she was not interested in any of the boys. But it never made sense when taken in context of the movie. That’s coming, their now looking to normalize pedophilia.

An article from left-wing British paper The Guardian titled ‘Pedophilia: Bringing Dark Desires to Light’. The article’s author John Henley discussed various lines of research on the brains of pedophiles, and described how there is a ‘growing conviction, notably in Canada, that pedophilia should probably be classified as a distinct sexual orientation, like heterosexuality or homosexuality.

This is what drives me INSANE about lefties.
Every time they gain an inch, they take a mile.

They aren’t content to just leave gay people in peace. No, the entirety of society has to celebrate the choice (including Christian florists and bakers) and the homosexual agenda has to be celebrated in every facet of our lives.

    They do this with everything.
It’s not enough to force a health insurance program on the public that no one wants, they also need to make sure that health insurance program forces nuns to buy contraception.

It’s not enough that you can abort a baby for any reason up until 20 weeks (or 26 weeks depending upon where you live), there must be complete and unfettered access to abortion at your nearest grocery store with no questions asked even if you are 12.

No normal people behave like this.

And then they wonder why we don’t trust them on “gun control…”

    • WhoDat

Allowing two people to be married regardless of their gender has nothing to do with healthcare reform or abortion.

      • CR

As usual, a liberal has trouble with advanced concepts.

It is the pattern and practice of the left to continually force everyone to celebrate the things that the left believes are right, regardless of the fact that other people might have their own perfectly valid opinions.

The point I was making, for those smart enough to make connections, is that leftists do the same on all other issues as well. That’s how “safe legal and rare” becomes “abortions for everyone!”

The left always starts with a small demand that theoretically seems reasonable, like giving homosexuals the right to get married. And then, it becomes, let’s push gay marriage in kids movies; get people fired if they perhaps object to gay marriage; and sue Christian florists who don’t want to do flowers for a gay wedding (WHY? Why not just go to a different florist?)

I could give numerous other examples of how liberals do this but there’s no point in wasting time with you.

        • WhoDat

Change “homosexuals” to “Negroes” and it could have been written in the 50s.

People cannot deny services to minorities if those minorities fall within a protected class e.g. services cannot be denied on the basis of race, religion, gender or national origin.

Homosexuality is not a protected class. That is why people can be fired for being gay.

There are a few fundamental differences between homosexuality and race/gender/religion/national origin. E.g. people don’t have to announce their sexuality to the whole world. Outside of the protected classes, a business or employer can discriminate on the basis of anything they wish. A business could fire someone or refuse to serve someone because they don’t like his politics, his appearance, the shirt he’s wearing, etc. Why do homosexuals get special protection?

There’s another important point here as well. The 1st amendment explicitly protects freedom of religion. Religious business owners should not have to go against their religion to provide services for a homosexual wedding.

When the government interferes with a person’s right to freedom of religion (like by forcing that person to provide services for a homosexual marriage), an undue burden test is applied because the Constitution guarantees free exercise of religious beliefs. This means that there must be an overwhelming state interest & that the restrictions must be narrowly tailored to achieve that interest.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone could argue that a business owner should be forced to go against longstanding and fundamental religious beliefs because a gay couple cannot just find another florist.

          • NRPax

Gay people can get fired just for being gay in most states, in case you didn’t know.

Good point, because the repression of the negroes in the 50’s has so much similarity to the plight of 21st century abnormals. I mean it has to, right? Because equality and stuff? It’s not like the abnormals are trying to destroy an institution or anything. They aren’t demanding that we re-define the cornerstone of civilization, what the vast majority of the worlds population throughout history has held sacred so they can get a tax break or something are they? They certainly don’t expect their chosen lifestyle to be celebrated and held superior by the children of people who have their own beliefs and sense of morality that may disagree with theirs. The abnormals wouldn’t think to stoop so low as to compare the plight of a repressed race to a disagreement over the definition of the relationship between (insert value) “consenting” adults?
Your argument is specious at best, there is no comparison, no similarity, the negroes of the 50’s wanted, rightfully, to be considered as equal individuals citizens of this country. They didn’t demand that we celebrate them, merely recognize them as human beings with all of the rights inherent in that description and commensurate with the long established values of a free civilization.

That was bugging me too! And lets not forget how Belle saves the Beast with her love.

Most of the Disney princesses are very strong characters that overcome adversity, and so what if they get married in the end?

      I could write 8 paragraphs about this but I won’t. :)

Isn’t time for two princesses to marry?

    Toure says: “Love is love.”

Now I really didn’t want to have to say this but, when you take love is love, add it to the idea that Disney should be portraying all kinds of families, let’s just say:
If Disney decides to make a Hansel and Grettel cartoon, Hansel and Grettel (brother and sister) get married at the end? Love is love is it not?

That’s why “love is love,” and “Marry who you love,” are stupid things to say when talking about marriage equality.

    • Maxwell

It’s annoying to point this out to Libs. They can’t comprehend the slippery slope that comes from saying “Love is love, so let’s legalize gay marriage.”

In several movies prior to this, the whole plot hinges on the heroine’s choices and strength of character (particularly in Beauty and the Beast), and often she’s not absolutely miserable, and without a life, until the prince sweeps her off her feet. Hey, if they made it a good story, I’d be all for it. Unfortunately, many writers in Hollywood have long demonstrated that they lack the ability to craft interesting stories around hot-button topics and instead use the movies as a soapbox to badger people. Movies about soldiers shaken by war, for example, could be compelling, but Stop Loss and other anti-Iraq War movies were garbage because the makers got consumed by their politics.

Besides, Sally, why focus on fiction? You should be more concerned with how the current president is only “open to the idea” of gay marriage and still to the right of Dick Cheney on the issue.

By the way, in the interests of being progressive, I would like to see a movie ends with a woman feeling she’s no longer a lesbian and instead marries a man. Besides, it’d be great just because GLADD would flip the hell out over it.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

First of all Sally, that’s the way Disney Pictures/Disney Animation has ALWAYS done things…The TRADITIONAL WAY! This nutcase needs time in a mental institution.

  • Booker

My money goes to my values.

  • DeadlockVictim

I take it Miss Kohn hasn’t watched much hentai.

  • Leslie Lesaroo

Sally, stop being a whiner and trying to guilt others to produce something you want. No one believes you really mean what you say when all you do is pitch little fits. If you think it’s time for such a movie, make it yourself, crybaby. It’s a free country…no one is stopping you. But no, all you do is sit and whine.

  • CLEmom

Ummm, no, Sally, it is not .

It is, however, well past the time to start asking, “Where are the freaking jobs??”

  • rainman

Isn’t it about time that you liberals let parents decide when to expose their children to sex? Thanks to our last liberal president and the non-stop new coverage of his escapades, I had to explain to my very young daughter about oral sex, and why the president was doing it in the White House.

Parents don’t need to worry about leaving a Disney movie with their 5 year old and having to explain gay sex. You don’t get to decide when is the right time, I do.

  • craigzimmerman12

Why is the homosexual rights movement so interested in destroying the innocence of children?

    • $84598387

Then they can have their child lovers.
Look what Disney does with their starlets? The little cute girls on Nickelodean, then they are in soft porn and violent films like Spring Breakers. Look at Disney darling Molly Cyrus the inbred.

  • $84598387

Kohn and those like her are sick ugly human beings.

  • pbtruth

It probably is time to have Disney do a prince on prince story. Then every Mom and Dad can explain just what acts of perversion are. When in the closing scene you see them plant a kiss on each other inside a heart as the camera pulls away until the heart becomes the “d” in “the end”!!!

    • mike_in_kosovo

      “the “d” in “the end”!!!”

      No, that’s the NC-17 version…. ;oP

  • AtomicMountain

  • CLL

Uh, no! It is NOT time for a princess to marry a princess in a DISNEY movie!! Jesus is NOTHING sacred????

  • traffic_robot

Just let her review children’s movies. Seems more her speed.

  • Sturmritter

Anything that Sally approves of, is a signal for me to avoid it like the plague. Sorry Disney, Times are tough.

  • marion vega

then what. we’d have to seek permission to make/ watch a normal movie?

  • right_on

Look what happens when militant lesbians get empowered…they just can’t help trying to shove their “gay-ness” down our throats.

Dear Homosexuals: I DON”T CARE about your sexuality, nor should you care about mine, (or at least that was your liberal masters messages for the past forty or so years.) Why does the gay community feel the overwhelming need to make heterosexuals angry, and unhappy? Is it another case of projection, I wonder? Without the heterosexual community you so despise, YOU wouldn’t BE here.

  • jetch

these left wing nutjobs just won’t be satisfied until the world is bombarded with a constant stream of their subliminal messages. if anyone had any doubts, here is your proof, these people are sick!!!
if you’re still on the fence about what teachers unions, universities, gays, hollywood and left wing politicians are doing to our kids, just listen to what this nutjob wants and why!

  • gold7406

hey sally, I guess you’re waiting for the ads:
    viagra with two men
    therapeutic mattress with two women

bath wash with two women in the shower
    trojan gel with two women

most of the left are all for this in the abstract, when they start to see the actual ads on tv they will freak out, just like everyone else.

  • Jay Jay

Well it’s actually not the first film a princess didn’t marry a prince. I guess it’s too long back to remember Tangled and Aladdin. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and the Little Mermaid were folk tales and stories written in a society not nearly as screwed up and stupid as ours is today. I don’t put the idea past the present CEO but it will not get a dime of my money and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.

  • FGCU_James

Having seen Frozen, it is a different take on the “true love saves the day” line that Disney flicks tend to be about, but certainly not in a bad way. Nothing wrong with (spoiler alert) the source of the love being from a family member, rather than an outside love interest. And another spoiler, the guy who runs the general store/sauna in the mountains appeared to be gay (when he introduced his family, the adult in the sauna was a guy, and didn’t look similar enough to be a brother/other family member), so technically, Disney already had a gay character in a very major picture.

Regardless, it is Disney’s choice of whether or not to include a gay prince/princess in their movies, that is their prerogative, as is our decision to watch such a movie.

If I remember correctly, there was a similar rejoicing by the libs when the prince & princess in “The Princess and The Frog” were revealed to be black, but the movie never made it out to be a big deal, their skin color didn’t enter into the equation, unlike the people who screamed over it.

In much the same way, folks like Sally Kohn demanding a gay princess/prince don’t care about making a good movie, rather, they care about advancing a certain worldview, one which, IMO, is not something kids should be concerned with.

    • unknown

I think the only time when race was brought up in The Princess and The Frog” was when the main female lead was told even if she raised enough money to buy the lot needed for her restaurant, she would not get it “given her background” (I think that was the quote) and that was as subtle as it got.

  • des111168

“Isn’t it time a Disney princess marries a princess?”

    Only in hell.

  • ZH38

See, it does not stop with same-sex marriage. These cultural sodomites want to drag everything and everyone into their cesspool of filth with them.

    Sick and disgusting.

  • ZH38

Sally looks like the dude who played drums in The Police. What’s his name?

    • Cantbelieveyouthinkthis

Stewart Copeland, and I thought it was a dude, just named Sally.

  • Donna

Can’t stand to look at this “woman” She has to have mental issues.

  • Ryan Johnson

Leave the kids movies alone. Kids entertainment is the last bastion of freedom from the gay agenda.

    • defiant12314

true mate, I watched Despicable Me 2 Last weekend…… great film and SO pro family

  • Hi This Is My Username

If love is love, why does it matter what kind of couples Disney has in their movies, Sally?

    • Hi This Is My Username

Really? I got a down vote for using the “love is love” argument against a Liberal? Someone is angry.

In the off chance it was a misunderstanding, I added Sally’s name to it to be more direct.

      • Cantbelieveyouthinkthis

There up voted ya. I got what you were saying that there isn’t a need for a same sex marriage if love is love. It’s all good. On the bright side you know that person knee jerked so fast that they broke their jaw when they down voted ya.

        • Hi This Is My Username

          Thank you.

Sally, Sally. Sally….no one cares what you think. But then again, we never did. All you are doing is imposing your lifestyle on everyone else. Let’s legislate it! ObamNuts can issue an order mandating that Disney produce such a film so jerks like you can see once again how the LGBT legislates change instead of letting people decide for themselves. But that’s war extreme radical left wing socialists fools do. And Sally, you fit the bill. Finally, if being ugly was a disease you’d be on life support with no hope of recovery

  • kateorjane

Just what the Disney folks are looking for – pandering to a hysterical minority and offending the majority

  • Freethinker01

Despite your sexual preferences, Sally, there is a huge portion of our society that still believes that homosexual behavior is abnormal behavior and don’t want their children exposed to your sexual proclivities.
You can push your sexual mores in adult sitcoms all you want. When you start messing with people’s kids, you’re gonna get the horns.

  • Zachary Goldberg

Just do it…Disney has already hindered any chance of me buying their merchandise with “Gay Day” now give me an excuse to not buy any more films.

  • Kathy Horner Somers

    Who would watch it?

  • FeralFemale

    NO NO NO NO!

Look, I don’t give a flying flip about whether someone is gay or not gay.

I believe love is love. Which means the only difference between gay love and hetero love is the sex. And people do NOT want to be explaining that particular difference to their young children and they shouldn’t be forced to until they feel their child is ready for it. Such things do NOT belong in a children’s movie.

  • Thom Harris

So she wants Disney to commit business suicide just to make her happy. Are we being that narcissistic? Well she is a liberal.

  • jamson64

    He’s scary looking.

  • Sean P Hamilton

Shouldnt the Pricess marry who she wants to, not what mkes Sally Kohn Happy? Is Sally Kohn settingthe standards now?

  • JCRocks

The answer would be a resounding “No f***ing way”. Sally, we tolerate you but that doesn’t mean we should promote your lifestyle to our children.

These degenerates are the definition of crazy – they don’t realize they’re crazy precisely because they’re crazy. Progress, in their warped minds, is mankind always acting towards and capitulating to, their most base instincts, cravings, desires, and unfortunately, their lunacies. Nine gazillion personality traits or human behaviors classified as some form of mental illness or at least psychological imbalance, from children to old people, that are treated with psychiatry, psychology and/or meds. But men wanting men or women wanting women, in direct contradiction of biological and physiological reality, is considered “normal” and “love”. Sheesh.

  • James McEnanly

I find it more interesting that a Disney villain is shown turning to the Dark side, and then back to the Light. Previously, they’ve been irredeemably evil, and usually for no other reason than to give the heroes and heroines a chance to do something heroic. This makes for a more interesting story

  • WingedPanther73

Let’s think about this for a minute: how many prepubescent girls have any sense of sexuality? I’m guessing it’s close to 0. The target audience is girls between kindergarten and 3rd grade. I think it’s safe to say that all of them still associate their dreams with finding a prince, not a princess. But don’t worry, after a few more years, public education will have “fixed” that.

    • Pawtrax

Are you suggesting that dreaming of “finding a prince” is not related to “sexuality”?

      • WingedPanther73

        In that age range, yes.

Are you suggesting that girls between the ages of 6 and 10 have a concept of sexuality that in any way resembles that of a teenager or an adult?

        • Pawtrax

Ok. But it appears you also think that a girl dreamimg of “finding a princess” is somehow related to sexuality. Is that the case?

          • WingedPanther73

I think the push for Disney showing a princess finding her

princess is about pushing alternative sexualities.

          • Pawtrax

Sure, but that’s not what you wrote. You said zero prepubescent girls have a sense of sexuality.

My point is that a third grade girl, to use your understanding of Disney’s target audience, who pines for Prince Charming is expressing as much a sense of sexuality as a third grade girl dreaming of a Princess Charming.

Either they both have a sense of sexuality or neither of them do.

The reason you’re not offended at the underlying sexuality at work in Disney movies about young girls finding princes is because they tend to evoke an idealized, platonic sense of love–devoid of explicit sexuality, even though it’s obviously present as subtext.

There is no reason why a Disney movie about a young girl finding a princess couldn’t do the same.

          • WingedPanther73

I don’t think there’s an underlying sexuality in a girl seeking a Prince Charming at that young age. However, the ideas that a girl entertains at a very young age DO impact how she’s going to think about sexuality as she hits puberty.

Understand, I do not believe homosexuality is genetic, but rather is the result of numerous small choices made early in life, especially around puberty. I see introducing ideas that will promote homosexual thinking to very young girls as a grave disservice to them. The fact that adults are seeking to introduce these ideas to impressionable young girls is disturbing to me, because it introduces the types of thinking that may encourage girls to think of themselves as lesbians as they enter puberty.

I’m sure the idea that Sally Kohn had is that lesbians would like to be validated, but I suspect that by the time a girl is old enough to identify as a lesbian, she’s pretty much over Disney.

          • WingedPanther73

Either you didn’t understand my most recent post, or you disagree with me on the potential influence.

  • Howard Roark

So when a princess marries a princess which one is treated like THE princess?
    Asking for a friend

  • LordElrond09

Talk about living in your own idiotic world. I can see that discussion with the financiers of such a movie I think it would set a record for lowest box office gross ever

  • Phoenix

Uh, NO! Kids do not need the gay lifestyle SHOVED down their throats, no one does. I could care less what someone does in the privacy of their own home, I don’t want to see it, hear about or be forced to watch it.

  • ProLifeDynasty

We boycotted dismal world when we found out about their homosexual, pro-abort agenda ( The rat sucks!

  • John

    You’re nuts.

    Over and out.

  • Native SpiritWarrior

they should, when a princess can biologically have two parents of the same sex, but then again everything is up to being redefined to whatever feels good now.

  • HoneyTree EvilEye

Make that film and watch nobody go see that film. The 3% or less of society that is “gay”(more than half I’d say swing both ways) and then the other…20% or so who back them(Not sure why none of them understand gays can marry all day, gay marriage isn’t illegal) will maybe go watch it, but that flick will crash.

  • georgiadee

Does she think wearing a suit makes her look smarter or more dude-like??

  • PatriotRG

why ? how about its not time now and it never will be time Sally . Leave the children alone – indoctrinating then in to believing what you do is usual is simply not true however much you think it is. Gays like you are a very small fraction of the population insignificantly small – you just make a lot of noise. So shut it.

  • PatriotRG

i would say 3% of the population being gay is un usual in a statistical sense . Why would one want to portray a rare event such as lesbian couples being together as normal to a child ? Logically it doesnt make sense. Its a stupid self serving opinion.

  • disqus_eric

Disney girl on girl action, yeah!

Disclaimer: Someone hijacked by disqus account. I’m not me. Really.

Simple answer with no additional explanation: no.

  • higgy01

The majority of the people in this country, including California, voted against same sex marriage. Then the warped left wing liberal democrat appointed judges decided they knew more than We the People and reversed the decision we made. They basically made this perversion legal although many of us will never recognize it.

  • Biff_Maliboo

    Another nudge toward Peak LGBT…

  • GulfPundit

It’s time for an obnoxious minority of less than 3% of the population to stop annoying the sh^t out of the rest of the country.

While we may not think about them nor fully understand why we follow them in a particular instance, we tend to use the ways learned from the lessons of others’ experience.

  • j95lee

A gay Disney movie (regardless of quality) is going to flop anywhere outside of North America. It might be banned in some places.

Why not be even more ahead of the time and make a family film about polygamy, bestiality, and cross dressers? The answer is obvious.

    • Richard Jefferies

A portly, androgynous, minority princess in a polyamorous relationship with an epicene man and a butch she-male.

They want to know why they are so disliked, this is why!! They just can’t be satisfied with more unwarranted “civil rights” and just go away, they have to force their degenerate lifestyle upon everyone that disagrees with them, they have to demoralize our children with their sick, inhuman activities!! Their ultimate goal is to make their twisted,sub-human idiosyncrasy’s the norm and heterosexuality the corrupted lifestyle!

  • Chad G. Singer

Dear Mr. Kohn, while we all appreciate your wanting to see two disney princesses get married, I should point out that Internet rule #34 says A. It has already happened, and B. Is available from google. Now leave us alone.

  • dave dykstra

Hey Sally, feel free to start your own business, create your own princess character and have her marry another princess. Stop thinking the world evolves around you. Stop thinking people should do as you command. In a free market, if the owners believed he could make money from a lesbian princess, don’t you think he would make one?

  • fatalrob0t

Since same sex couples cannot produce heirs to the throne, that would be ill-advised for their movies with royalty. Second, they do mostly fairytales and if they change the fairytale too much to be recognized for the original that it comes from then they alienate people who actually like the fairytale. Frozen actually has a similar premise to The Snow Queen in that an act of true love will thaw a frozen heart. Kai and Gerda were just replaced with Kristoff and the Snow Queen’s sister Anna and taking the Snow Queen in her early years.
