Too funny. Why folks think that they can still get away with hit and run these days is beyond me. Cameras everywhere, serial numbered light covers, etc.
Im reminded of a story about a man that crashed into a parked car and left a note under the windshield wiper of the car he hit.
The note said; Everyone is watching me so I’m writing this note so nobody calls the cops. Sucka!
Unfortunately, he wrote the note on the back of a slip of paper that contained some identifying information and the car he hit belonged to a cop.
Didn’t end well for the hit and run driver.

      Great story! ….LOL

Karma is ruthless and folks are stupid. Sometimes the stars, sun and moon align to make the perfect moment…..

        • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

          And stupidity is lethal. Invariably.

          • H50 ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Seems to work out that way more often than not. 😉

Ain’t that the sad and sorry truth?

          • H50 ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

I believe its referred to as thinning the herd.

That reminds me of the robber who walked up to a bank teller with a “this is a stick up” note that was written on the back of one of his blank checks.

Thank goodness for the stupid ones, the really smart ones don’t get caught for years and years, if ever.

used to be a great TV show called America’s Dumbest Criminals – it was a riot!

      • RblDiver

One of my favs: Some cops knew they had the right guy, but they didn’t quite have the evidence and he was acting smug. So they hooked up a colander to a copy machine with some wires, stuck it on his head, and told the guy they were giving him a lie detector test. Every time he’d say something, they’d hit the button and a page saying “He’s Lying” would come out. The guy quickly lost his nerve and spilled the beans.

          Too funny!

Feral lose child it appears, to be a hit and runner, Steve. We are sorry that it happened to you and that you will be able to have your vehicle repaired and the hit and run driver learns from the consequences. You do the crime, you do the time.

  • Bill Phillips

Oh no …I see trouble here! What if they don’t have any insurance …and Obama hears about it! It might just be the catalyst he needs to invade the auto insurance industry! After all…I’m sure there must be plenty of unfortunate souls that have had their auto insurance cancelled …just because they are a bad risk …or maybe they can’t afford auto insurance after making their Lexis car payments!

    • H50 ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

      Shhhhh….don’t give them any ideas!

    • CR

Nah, the liebrals are never going to mandate auto insurance because we won’t need it once we all* give up our cars and take high speed rail or Citibikes everywhere in liebral paradise. But don’t worry… if you like your car, you can keep your car.

*The word “all” should not be construed to include union members, demoncrats or demoncrat donors or hollywood liebrals.

      • Bill Phillips

Ah yes …exemptions and waivers for all loyal comrades!

  • skypilot77

Hey, when they put the tracking chips in all the vehicles they will simply be able to look up in a computer and see what vehicle was in that particular geographical location at any point in time — bang, bang! The hit and run is solved.

Isn’t the destruction of liberty fun? /sarc

It has to be Bush’s fault

  • nc ✓s & balances

Hope he didn’t have one of those bad apple, substandard, junk policies.

  • William2010

Nothing will happen to the hit-and-run driver.

There will be some lame excuse made, which will be accepted, and Doosy will have to pay for the repair out of his own pocket, unless Doosy’s own automobile insurance policy covers such matters.

It is so easy for bad people to get away with so much these days.

  • Rich

Most of these hit & runs are drunk drivers or have another reason for not wanting to deal with the police.
