New York Times editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal wants it known that the paper hasn’t yet endorsed any candidate in the 2016 presidential race … not even Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto doesn’t seem convinced.
"Let me be clear: We have not chosen Mrs. Clinton." HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! http://t.co/xnJvfay1Ua

Let him be clear: Rosenthal didn’t know anything about the Times’ piece on Benghazi — the one that maintains the terrorist attack there was “fueled in large part” by a video — until he read it in the paper this weekend. That sounds oddly familiar.
@jamestaranto Rosenthal"knew nothing abt the Benghazi article until I read it in the paper on Sunday"-isn't that basically the ObamaDefense?

@jamestaranto At least he uses the Obama defense, he didn't know about it until he read it in the paper.

@jamestaranto I also wonder how the editor of a major paper can not know about a big story until months later and keep his job @andyrNYT

@jamestaranto For someone who played no role in producing the story, he sure knows a lot about whether it has any biases.

But seriously, the Times has no one in mind for 2016.
