OFA has managed to make an ad that’s almost as creepy as that one where actress Lena Dunham compared voting for Barack Obama to losing one’s virginity. Now OFA is urging parents this holiday season to have “the talk” with their children — you know, the talk about buying health insurance from the Obamacare exchange.

Is it just us, or does that kid (actually Ethan Krupp, OFA’s content writer) look young enough to still be covered under his parents’ plan? And will the video help families #GetTalking?

As I have said before they think we are all MORONS,

    • Spinmamma

      Perhaps because THEY are.

    • rssllue

Is NOTHING truly sacred to these guys?

    • Jay Stevens

Based on election results, they would be correct in thinking so.

  • CasualMeyhem

NEVER too young for some propaganda!

    • trixiewoobeans

The endless propoganda streaming out of the WH is laughable. Reminds me of old 60’s Cold War films, where Dear Leader’s image, thoughts and sayings were inserted into every aspect of life.

      • CobraJet428

Damn, only one ‘up vote’ possible.

    • pinupartist

When they said they’d joined a cult, I though that was the actual point.

o-care is like Heaven’s Gate, except no free sneakers. And endless debt. Oh, & you’re not free any more. Leaving on a comet’s looking pretty good after 5 years of this idiot…

  • FreedomFighter

My family talks about what an ass Obama is, and thats the censored version.

    • Vitiosum

      Same here!

      • HanaFiveO

My parents are old party Dems. They wouldnt criticize a Dem if their lives depended on it.

After they had to go and get a loan on their paid for house to get the last of their failing teeth pulled and get dentures, they decided that Obama was the worst POTUS evah.
They had to go get the loan because….. wait for it…..the coverage for the oral surgery was cut from their medical and the dentures were cut from the dental, Medicare wouldn’t cover any of it either. All cash out of pocket 20K each.

Sometimes people just need a swift kick in the buttocks before they get it.

        • Vitiosum

This doesn’t surprise me. A lot of dental and oral surgery seems to be going that way. I’ve had a similar situation, although not to that extent. I’m sorry that your parents had to figure it out in the way they did. These times are bad, but I see it coming down the line as much much worse.

          • HanaFiveO

I agree. The good news is that they don’t give me that “bless your heart” look and pat me on the head anymore.

I almost passed out cold when my dad told me he watched Bill ORileys show the other day, and didn’t think he came across as a loon at all.
            Baby steps.

          • Vitiosum

Baby steps is a good thing my friend!

          • Pat Arnold

My son in law doesn’t try to sell Obama to me anymore since I break our laughing every-time someone mentions his name

          • interestedobserver2

Way better than no steps at all! Congratulations on having recovering Dems!

        • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil ✓Mate

My mom is an FDR Democrat. She gets her health care from my late, stepdad’s union retirement so she won’t notice any difference any time soon. We choose not to talk politics anymore but she also has to not watch CBS evening news while I’m visiting.

But the whole rest of the family enjoys talking about evil Democrats and gutless, establishment Republicans at get togethers.

          • Vitiosum

My dad has a minor hearing loss and he mainly watches CBS or NBC for his entertainment. He’s not a democrat but I swear having a political conversation with him sounds like World War III.. He doesn’t hear well enough to catch half of what those news stations are saying and anytime I try to explain they are wrong he makes me nuts. Poor thing, all he wants is his retirement and insurance left intact just the way it is. Anyway, I think he likes to argue with me for the sake of arguing. 😉 He’s served his country and has had a good life, I just hate that his later years have to be spent in limbo with the rest of us. I am more afraid for him in these times than I am for myself.

        • Kaka1625

You are blaming Obama for “cuts” to medicare…lol. Man you lot like to eat your cake and have it too. or maybe you are blaming democrates for letting republicans get their medicare cuts.

          • HanaFiveO

Actually, Im blaming Obamas policies (Ocare) not the man.
The rest of your post makes zero sense, so I wont even bother.

          • Ken Alan Draper

if the man wasn’t rotten, the policies wouldn’t be rotten.

          • Ken Alan Draper

democrates? is that what they pack democrats things in for shipping?

    • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

If it wasn’t for the complaints, we’d never be able to mention 0bama’s name.
Best part? My liberal family members have done a 180 on him.
Man ain’t going to get a card from any of them this year.

    • Mama Bear

      Second that!

    • LinTaylor ✓vitrified

Same with my family, minus my aunt.

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

same… even the newly OMG my healthcare insurance got cancelled hard dem mother in law..

The words she uses would strike a liberal as pretty racist, except she has the democrat since birth card.. amazing that the dems insist that all their racists became republicans after 1964,.. nope.. they’re still democrats, the left just ignores them as long as they vote D.

Thankfully, my wife is far far more open minded than her family..

her grandpa was like a bitterly race slur tossing Col. Sanders on his second fifth of Jack.

  • Janice LEE

That is one creepy pair. The woman is demonic. Channeling the moocher perhaps.

  • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

And after having watched it, I realized that here was two minutes of this all-too-fleeting time upon the mortal coil that I would never get back in order to accomplish something positive and beneficial.

Damn your eyes, man! I shall never forgive this imposition upon my good nature!

    • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

Thank you for your sacrifice, now I know not to watch. As if I didn’t already. Commie AgitProp always gives me the wind.

    • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

The only way to enjoy that video is with two wise-cracking robots at your side.

      • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Thank goodness I don’t have some Kathy-Bates-type forcing me to watch it repeatedly.

  • Vitiosum

That’s it! These people are crazy. Oh you bet I’ve had the talk with my kids! It consisted of don’t EVER believe one word that comes out THAT propaganda machine, and if they have questions, they need to ask me before they believe the White House. Period. End of Story. I now have a dent in my forehead from banging my head on my desk!!!

  • Texan357

Talk about “out of touch.” People are already talking, f(r)iend – and it’s about Obamacare Sticker Shock and insurance cancellations. I dearly hope that this is remembered very keenly in almost exactly one year…

    • in_awe

What will be remembered is the government shutdown by the Republicans and how it was responsible for the disastrous launch of Obamacare and the national debt and the Republican’s war against women/children/elderly/etc.

The attention span of the low-info voter is that of a gnat and there is plenty of time for the MSM to fill their tiny craniums with propaganda between now and then.

  • detroit19

Which talk? Get insurance, get an abortion, get a student loan, get an EBT card, join SEIU, lie for the potus, help re-write HISTORY, take a guilt trip?

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil ✓Mate

So you’ve had “the talk” already?

  • j p✓ʳᵉᶠʳᶦᵉᵈ

But you really should have the talk. If your kids and loved ones are going to get
F%^&ed, it would be best to pass on what knowledge you have beforehand.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

Wow, what an ineffective, pathetic and laughable project.

Lemme guess, they also had 42 months and millions of dollars to put that together.

  • Jimni27

Yeah I’m sure that hipster kid’s gonna walk out that door after dinner and go get on the healthcare.gov website. Because that’s what hipster 20 somethings do. Listen to their parents and tow the line. Holy crap even those actors look mentally unstable.

    • Texan357

Because that’s what hipster 20 somethings do.

Lean Forward – into the guillotine of Generational Theft.

The image I have is from the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” where the guy gets chewed up by the propeller of the slowly turning plane.

  • tjack

Can the 26 and under crowd still get covered by their parents cancelled insurance plan?

    • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

      I am SO slow-clapping this!

      • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈwhitey

I said the exact same thing to one of my customers this evening. He was telling me how he was traveling for work, and they didn’t have the channels he watched on TV at the hotel he was staying at, so he spent 2 days watching Fox News… he couldn’t BELIEVE the crap coming out of the liberals mouths’ about Obamacare…

    • QWYS (Hydralisk of the Swarm)

“A masterful coup sir, I congratulate you.”

  • HanaFiveO

Way to ruin Christmas asshats. The level of propaganda pouring out of the WH and its minion has risen far beyond creepy. Its well into bizarre alternate universe.

    • trixiewoobeans

And sorry loved ones, if you CAN’T AFFORD lights, a turkey, tree and decorations this holiday season, cause…HEALTHCARE!

      • HanaFiveO

I’m so glad the kids are coming in for Thanksgiving this year. Now that we know our new insurance rates, we cant afford Christmas.
Its going to be an interesting meal this year. Amazingly enough, all of our kids are pretty conservative, but two of them married liberals…..

  • schveiguy

Merry Christmas! Here’s your present: please spend $12k on health insurance so the rest of us old sick people can #GetCovered. Pleeeeease!

  • Jill

Not content to control my life nor merely reduce the standard of living for my children, he wants me to fixate on his legislation around the table? Pass.

  • Steven A

Never too early to start explaining government to your kids. I recommend this Ron Swanson how-to guide!

    http://vimeo.com/57723506

  • World B. Free

My family is mostly conservative. I can assure you that the one turkey we’ll be talking about at our family gatherings is Barack Hussein 0bama.

  • Ed McDowell

Funny until he pulls into the driveway – then stupid – well actually reasonable if they were having the talk BEFORE OBAMACARE.

  • twistedgenius

Talk to your kids about healthcare during the holiday season, so if they “Shoot their eye out” they know you will now be taking them to the dollartree for a pack of eye patches and pain killers since you don’t have insurance anymore thanks to obamacare.

    • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

When my parents sat me down to discuss Obamacare, I told them President Obama could go fudge himself as far as I was concerned.

“But I didn’t actually say ‘fudge’– oh no, it was the ‘Big One’– the ‘Queen Mother’ of all bad words!”

  • KansasGirl

O, stay the h%ll away from my family.

Nope, the talk I will be having is healthcare.gov is a security nightmare. Your personal information WILL be stolen do not under any circumstance go near it.

  • NRPax

I have quite a few liberals in my extended family. This Thanksgiving, I will not be in the mood for proselytizing for the Lightworker and his idiotic ideas.

    • wwbdinct

Because of the divider-in-chief, I am not on speaking terms with a good portion of my immediate family. My holidays have been just fine for the past 3 years!

      • NRPax

My immediate family is just fine; my mother and brother are nurses who have a low opinion of this law and the general laziness of people who can’t be bothered to budget out for insurance. I’d love to post my brother’s rant on the subject sometime…

But I do have cousins that are quite liberal and I’ve cheerfully sparred with them on several issues. But mentioning this to me is not going to be acceptable.

  • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

Is there anyone at OFA who isn’t in a cult?… I mean really..

These chumps are way past just strange.

  • Pat Arnold

If you are an insurance company however, beware how you talk about Obamacare. Naysayers will be dealt with harshly by the most transparent administration ever

  • ObamaFail

Okay, I’ll have the talk with my family. I’ll tell them to get ready for slashed hours, skyrocketing premiums, and cancelled policies.

    • http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/ keyboard jockey

The talk isn’t pertinent in my family, but if it was, I would tell them pay the 95 dollars or whatever 1% is of their salary.

  • http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/ keyboard jockey

All OFA headline’s should begin with “Revenge of the Nerds”. Because that’s what we are dealing with nerds with nerdy ideas.

  • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

“Who needs a turkey dinner when you can have a turkey for an insurance policy?” – ObamaDERP slogan

  • AnneLewis

Actually, the commercial is spot on…the thing the kid was imagining WAS what his parents ARE like…I mean, after all, they probably voted for Obama so all the scenarios apply from joining a cult to being part of a fantasy game world, AND violating the holidays with some Obama drivel lol!

  • linnicy

Show how crazy these ppl are. Maybe they talk like this because they are so dim-witted and have ice in their veins. We talk and laugh and start our meals with “grace” and then we talk how FREAKING STUPID THE DEMS ARE. All over a good glass of wine. Great fun!

  • Matt

Most of my family gatherings talk about family stuff like kids and what they did.

The occasional political remark will come up. Usually an uncle or a cousin talking about how much they hate “that n***** Obama.”

  • dunst43

Just wait for the waiting periods for treatment. That’s coming soon.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I am sure there will be a lot of talk around dinner tables about the ACA and I am positive the WH will not like what is being said.

  • jaun456

That’s one talk my family never had to have with any of us.

  • Zathras11 @B5

Of course they joined a cult. They are DemocRATs.

  • dogwonder

Daddy why is mommy crying, well Susie daddy lost his healthcare coverage because of communist Obamacare and Mommy is scared of the future. More conversations like that will take place than the creepy mythical OFA ones.

Watching this video reminded me that pot is now legal in some places.

  • stellatruman

I am afraid that the talk is coming , but it’ll be the one where we can’t afford our insurance anymore. My 23 yr old daughter is still on our plan since she is in grad school . She can get it thru her college , but we can’t afford that either
