It’s difficult to describe. It’s like a filmstrip version of the 1985 film “Back to the Future,” or maybe more like a script reading. “The Hill Valley Project” has created a Twitter account and avatar for each and every character in the movie, compiled them in a Twitter list, and is tweeting the entire movie, beginning to end, in real time.

Here’s a partial list of the “actors”:

The effect is something like this:

The “movie” is still in progress, and with the positive response, we have to imagine there will be sequels.

Wait a minute, Twitchy. Ah… Are you telling me that they built Back to the Future… out of Twitter posts?

The way I see it, why not do it with some style?

Good to see Old Hobo, a Twitter All-Star from the UK– he’s had a lot of grief being thrown at him; granted, he invites it sometimes, but he’s had his life and family threatened. Old Hobo has been told that, in the UK, you can be investigated for tweets deemed too offensive, and possibly thrown in jail; but those making threats are ignored– he’s been told, in effect: “You started it, Old Holborn!”
