These filibusters can become heated rather quickly, so you’ll have to pardon Sen. Cruz’s French.

Not true! Americans give plenty of flying flips every single day. What they don’t give a flip about, according to Cruz, is Washington. “Look, most Americans could not give a flying flip about a bunch of politicians in Washington,” he said. “Who cares? You know, almost all of us are in cheap suits with bad haircuts. Who cares? What the American people care about is their own lives.”

That would be “corner guy.”

Will “flying flip” become a thing? We like “Win one for the flipper.”

  • Psiwolf

Texas doesn’t give a flying flip!

    • Kimihiro Watanuki

      Neither does SC.

  • NRPax

Expect the media to run with that and cry about Ted using bad language in the Hallowed Halls of the Senate.

    • grais

But the kid talking about a wet dream the other day…they didn’t give a flyin’ flip about it.

    • Kimihiro Watanuki

Yeah, and what about Crazy Joe’s “BFD” deal slip. Accordding to the media, he was all “cool” for saying it. Dang, these hypocrites in DC boil me.

Very Sarah Palin of him and I LOVE it- “Un-be-flippin-lievable.”

    • DaMello

Yep! The libs are going to be flippin’ out over this…!

      • grais

And Americans won’t give a flyin’ flip about that, either.

        • Clayton Grant

Except the ones like @atchka that will say it was profane while overlooking the use of wet dream.

          • ObamaFail

Libs squealed out in glee at the wet dream remark. Although, when they hear the news that Americans have lost jobs due to Obamacare, pretty much everyone with a (D) squeals in delight.

          • rssllue

Maybe they confuse wet dream with night sweats, probably because they are having both when they dream about obamacare. It excites them, but in a very, very scary way and they are not sure exactly why.

  • ceemack

And there are a lot of politicians we’d love to flip off.

  • leybaterry

I do not give a “flying flip” about Washington either …Rock on Senator Cruz

  • http://www.facebook.com/sandra.vaughn.90 Sandra Vaughn

I think that people are starting to give flying flips!

  • mtnwmn35984

The Senate doesn’t give a flying flip about us.

  • Grandma HeadInjury

Go Ted Cruz! I hate knowing that the mother-flippin, flying fliptards of the supposedly Republican party will sell you (and this country) out in the end. But you, sir, have my undying respect.

  • Republicanvet

    Hey! I give a flying flip! Here’s to you DC scum. ^ m[]m ^!

  • nc

    Cruz 2016!

  • Michael Hampton

So now every word Cruz uses is to be taken down in the tomes of history and praised with every voice a hosannah! Wow. You kids really are scared that the AFA might actually work.

    • Finrod Felagund

Might work to destroy the country and healthcare? Yes, we are scared of that and you should be too.

    • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

      I’m not. I know it won’t because it’s been tried before…and failed.

This guy is JUST COOL. Intelligent and “in touch” with the American people. You are lucky Texas. Hopefully all of us can benefit from his leadership sometime soon.

    • CatHerder ✓vindicated

Half lucky, anyway. There’s still Cornhole the RINO.

    • WhoDat

      “This guy is JUST COOL.”

Sounds like the reason Obama won two elections.

      • Penguin, first name The

Never felt that “In touch” with the American people with your boy there. Didn’t vote for him. Public speaking and constant campaigning, propping the fact he’s HALF black never impressed me. Show me what you stand for is what I look for. Your boy lied. Own it. Embrace it. And concede already.

        • WhoDat

          I think you misunderstand me.

Many people only voted for Obama because they saw him as cool.

          • Penguin, first name The

You can be “cool”, and a good leader too…right?

          • WhoDat

            Sure.

          • Penguin, first name The

K, whatever. Was looking for an actual debate but you got nothin. Until next time…

          • WhoDat

I apologize, I was just trying to make a snarky comment. Good evening.

          • Penguin, first name The

Fair enough. Have a good night. You’re always at least classy. Appreciate that.

          • Penguin, first name The

You’re picking apart my comment. Read it as a whole. It’s okay to concede failure. But to ignore it…

      • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

The difference? Cruz is smart. Obama isn’t.

  • Jack Deth

    “Flying flip” FTW!!!

  • Wiz

It’s a common saying down here.

  • Jeremy

    He is right of course.

  • Magnifico

He’s right; I don’t give a flying f@#& about them. Anybody who idolizes a politician needs serious damn help.

    • https://twitter.com/UnicornOfMayhem Hi This Is My Username

An older women from my sister’s work will go into crying fits, if people aren’t saying enough nice things about Obama on Facebook. One time, she had her mom make a Facebook post asking if people would ease up on the political posts for a while, after one of her crying fits.

Perfect example of someone who needs to get some help.

      • Magnifico

Yikes! I know a few like that…..disturbing. At what point does worshiping a lawyer become sane?

  • LisaG

I’m a native Texan. I say “I don’t give a flyin’ flip” when I don’t care about something. If I REEEEALLY don’t care, I say, “I don’t give two flyin’ back flips.” Yes, it’s quite an effective and well understood phrase down here.
