Leave it to the entertainment community to turn a tragedy into yet another sequel no one asked for. The gunman who went on a rampage today in Santa Monica, Calif., was killed by police, but he had an accomplice. Actress Melissa Gilbert has let the NRA know that she holds the organization responsible in part for every gun death in America. Why? The group puts guns into people’s warm, living hands.

@cmartin002 @MelissaEGilbert @NRA we don't need gun control we need people control. Ppl need to be held accountable, not blame "things"

The drafters if the constitution and bill of rights wrote those documents when we all used guns to eat. When we were at war on our own soil.

“@DrumSgtBeaker: There *are* still people who use guns to eat. Hopefully you do realize that much…” I do. Totally and I respect that.

She totally respects your right to own a gun for hunting. But not that one. Hand it over, and see Sen. Dianne Feinstein for the approved list. She, too, totally respects your right to hunt, like the founders intended.

Sure, while we’re at it, let’s look at parenting and social media use too. Maybe the government will lend us some of its surveillance data until doctors can collect enough gun ownership data.
