It’s not that Geraldo Rivera doesn’t believe that the administration’s cover up of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, is a scandal. Rather, he’s insisting that the scandal begins and ends there, despite reports from whistleblowers that help was available during the seven hours that the U.S. consulate was under siege that day. Benghazi was “a long time ago,” but it looks like this might be the week we finally hear firsthand from those who lived through it.

Fox News host Eric Bolling gave Rivera the opportunity earlier today to get up to speed with the latest developments, but instead the Fox contributor decided to double down.

Really? Remember when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified that requests for additional security in Benghazi never reached her desk? That’s not scandalous?

What did Bette Midler say? Read a paper?

By all means, why even bother with the testimony of the people who were there? Geraldo’s got it covered. Why didn’t they have him testify last year and settle all this?

Indeed, check out Sharyl Attkisson’s reporting on Benghazi. Someone’s been paying attention the whole time.

Tit for Tat. If you live by the lie..

    • angeleyez

Why doesn’t Geraldo care about the murder of gay Ambassador Stevens ?
Is Geraldo protecting Hillary Clinton’s 2016 chances with his lies ?
      ▲ YES
      ▼ NO

      • Jim Chandler

Does Hillary have a chance in 2016?

        • walterc

          Sadly, yes she does.

      • Jeremy

because he is a Obama butt kisser just like Juan Williams.

    • Elaine

I guess only liberals and Democrats are allowed to use the OJ method of getting a message across? We need to do this more often, since it appears to resonate with those low information voters.

  • Brandon Goeringer

Geraldo needs to stick to opening up empty vaults.

    • Brett McMicken

      and, ducking chairs

    • MyrmidoNOT

Do you mean: “The ‘common sense’ part…of his brain?”

    • Jillane Kent

Are we absolutely certain that Geraldo wasn’t there that evening, giving the Jihadists directions? (Hearkening back to his ‘reporting’ during the initial days of the Iraq War)

  • MyrmidoNOT

Really wonder who is being MIS-led here??
    a) Those who (falsely) believe the LIE? (Like gRevolver?)
    b) Those who (falsely) support the LIE? (LSM/NFM?)
    c) Those who (falsely) continue to LIE? (CYA’rs?)

Or just those who told-the-lie…and now have been CAUGHT???

The Libyan Ambassador and his three compatriots have no comment.
(For the umpteenth time…until it finally resonates…)

Riviera doesn’t knowthat. They might have been saved had rescue teams arrived. Obama and Clinton blew it….big time. They need to stand up and take their lumps. At least they might get some respect that way.

    • MyrmidoNOT

      Saddest part…they do NOT even understand…the “concept”…
(Of what respect is, or what it means…)

  • Brett McMicken

amazing how many people who are wanting this “non-scandal” to hurry up and go away.

“no, mommy, i did not break that vase. why are you harping on something that happened ten minutes ago. move on. nothing to see here.”

  • Clayton Grant

So tired of this guy trying to inflate his relevance.

    • Jim Chandler

One of many reasons I stopped watching him — twenty years ago.

    • Jeremy

his 15 minutes ran out years ago.

Woods and Doherty laser painted the target for quite a while, all they needed was air support to light up the sky, might have been a different outcome.

Let’s not forget, this admin has a rule of not sending cover to our military in Afghanistan. The drone controllers mostly sit by and watch for hours sometimes while our people are killed.

  • Jd1367

“@Grandbulldoggie hi, unlike 99.9% of fantasy warriors I reported from the midst of actual combat in and around Benghazi Libya check the tape” <———- why is this man not Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?

  • Steve_J

State Dept denied requests to increase security levels or at least maintain existing security levels. Instead the State Dept. kept reducing security. In the preceding months there had been a number of attacks with the situation becoming bad enough that the British and the Red Cross pulled their people out of Benghazi. Why didn’t the U S? It’s almost like the adminstration was inviting an attack.

  • freeinaz

This is the cost for a dithering president

  • Jack Deth

And what exactly happened to Jerry Rivers’ standing and credibility within the journalism community after he played with a stick and drew a map in the sand on camera during Desert Storm?

    Thought so.

  • Bill Board

How can Geraldo say the USA had no military assets that could have saved our people in Benghazi? Suppose that were true, it then begs the question WHY NOT? Especially since Ambassador Stevens requested additional security on numerous occasions PRIOR to the attack.

  • kbrockm

Geraldo is just pissed because he wasn’t embedded in Benghazi! Seriously though, why was the U.S. the ONLY country with an ambassador and others still there? And was the real mission gun-running? I hope more light is shed on this whole mess.

    • neoface

Stevens probably was killed by our own weapons, and Obama doesn’t want you to find out. Geraldo is another of Obama’s useful idiots.

  • Lady_Clare

The media isn’t all over this like I’d hoped, but there are some stirrings out there. I wish they cared about this like they did Watergate.

  • kim

Ironic how Geraldo was all over the Iraq war. No problem blaming Bush for everything and anything. And wasn’t he heard to say the ” Bush lied, Soldiers died” mantra?
Yet now, the fact that security was denied is not a scandal. The fact that help was denied is not a scandal. the fact that Hilary was not answering her 3 am call, and Barry was busy partying is not a scandal. Just the ‘mysterious’ changing of the intel, and Susan Rice was the scandal. Whew!!
As long as it wasn’t Obama and Hilary…

  • neoface

Geraldo belongs on MSNBC!!!! I wish he would just get off of FOX news.

    • BlahBlah

Yes but see he still has a job at Fox. Just like far right people still have jobs on MSNBC. Uh. Wait.

I don’t really mind him. Fox should keep him for entertainment value.

  • Axelgreaser

Geraldo spoke of running for office and I was SO excited! Anything to get him off FOX. Hillary-Rivera, 2016? It has a certain dissonant ring to it. Hillary: “Geraldo, am I everything I seem to be? A crook, liar, a grasping, boozing shrike with Benghazi blood on my hands?” Geraldo: “Did I ever tell you the time I cracked open Al Capones safe and it was empty?” Hillary: “I thought we were talking about me.” Geraldo: “Oh, sorry, even when I’m on ‘Hurricane Terror Watches’, I assume it’s all about me. BTW, you had a little blood on your pantsuit too. Did you try soda water?”

  • Corey Dennison

Hey everyone! Look at the internet toughguy!

    • BlahBlah

Wait, I thought I was the protected class. And he called me the B word! What will they think of next?

      • wwbdinct

He’s a low class pig! Typical misogynist liberal.

        • BlahBlah

If liberals didn’t have double standards they’d have no standards at all. It’s amusing.

  • fishydude

Who is Obama gonna drop bombs on to get Benghazi off the front outage?
Bubba Clinton was the master of this tactic. You know he is advising Obama to do it so Hilary can be saved for 2016.

  • $472942

Geraldo and Matthews: two disgusting peas in a pod…

  • DavidKramer

I just dropped him a bunch of comments, I am sure I will be getting the big blocked in 3, 2, 1.

    Here are my responses-

saying he knows what would have happened if our troops were allowed to go

@GeraldoRivera @ericbolling Because………….Geraldo can see into alternate realities. You know he can, he lives in one.

regarding it is only about the cover up

@GeraldoRivera @coopdd Like chewing bubble gum and walking, Gerry cannot understand that it is both.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    Geraldo Hypocrito was in Benghazi when the attack happened? I thought he was somewhere else… Maybe, a Coffee Shop in Tripoli? Jawamax 8<{D}

  • Kelly Hanna

Geraldo, you need to retire you obama loving bitch. fuck you you media glory hole whore!

  • © Sponge

Geraldo should stick to opening vaults. THAT’S one thing he’s good at.

  • © Sponge

Credibility. No longer a requirement in news organizations.

  • Hiraghm

    Geraldo belongs in jail.
During his program, he had a white supremacist named Metzger as a guest, along with Roy Innis. As the Metzger boy remained calm and made his arguments in a rational fashion, Innis became more and more agitated, at one point stand up, and towering over Metzger. As Innis’ fury boiled over, Geraldo is heard saying, “Go for it.” At which point Innis tried to strangle Metzger to death, and a chair got thrown at Geraldo’s nose.

    That’s incitement to murder.

  • Gary

Could anyone want to hear anything Geraldo has to say after the interaction with Eric Bolling? He is featured Friday and Fox and Friends and I channel surf til he’s gone.

  • radicallyalyssa

Gerry Rivers is full of crap.

  • Kathy Fugitt Price Skaggs

Geraldo will do anything to keep Obama from looking bad including trying to make the GOP look bad. He thinks if he blames everything on the GOP that it make Obummer look better.

  • $24698634

Didn’t Hillary take full responsibility for Benghazi in her public testimony before the House committee?

    • Al Ways

Figuratively “taking responsibility” and facing actual charges of malfeasence and perhaps complicity to the death of American citizens are two different things. In the first she gets scolded by her co-conspirators, in the second she gets a full accounting before the entire country she turned her back on.

      I prefer #2.

      • $24698634

Good luck with that.  Where’s the malfeasance and complicity in the deaths of almost 3,000 in 2001?  No one was held accountable for that failure of intelligence.  No one took responsibility.  No one lost their job, no one went to trial or jail. no consequences for anyone.  Get some perspective.

  • Jeremy

Geraldo is a joke hardly anyone takes him seriously.

    • Al Ways

Bear this in mind, nobody lives forever and you can’t take it with you. Eventually Mr. Rivera will be facing the same judge as you and I and will be held to account for his actions and words.

  • Al Ways

Why argue with that tool, he will change his story to whatever it needs to be to avoid staring the 800 pound gorilla in the room eye-to-eye. Maybe he can get a job as Putin’s press secretary to put his skills to work.
