David Frum wonders just how few gun owners are 'responsible'

More, maybe? It’s a bit of a loaded question, if you’ll pardon the pun. “Responsible” is a vague enough word by itself, but add the quotation marks and you have a term as open to interpretation as “common sense gun reform.” But when it comes to firearms ownership, David Frum just can’t seem to help qualifying the term; take this tweet from February, for example.

So why is David Frum suggesting that, at most, only half of  gun owners are responsible?

Sure, everyone who owns a gun and hasn’t made the news probably considers him or herself pretty responsible. Wouldn’t it be better to be “safe” than sorry?
