More, maybe? It’s a bit of a loaded question, if you’ll pardon the pun. “Responsible” is a vague enough word by itself, but add the quotation marks and you have a term as open to interpretation as “common sense gun reform.” But when it comes to firearms ownership, David Frum just can’t seem to help qualifying the term; take this tweet from February, for example.
If everyone who believed himself a "responsible gun owner" really was one, we'd have a lot fewer gun tragedies.

So why is David Frum suggesting that, at most, only half of gun owners are responsible?
@davidfrum legal gun owners, 99%

“@davidfrum: What % of gun owners are "responsible" do you guess? Half? Less?” You fail to qualify legal vs illegal. Faulty logic!

@davidfrum What percentage of gun owners cause injuries? Far less than one percent? The rest not responsible enough for you?

By your choices you show your bias. Try 99.9% RT @davidfrum What % of gun owners are "responsible" do you guess? Half? Less?

Nearly all. There are 100,000,000 of us. Gun deaths are less than 1/10 of 1% of that figure. @davidfrum

Sure, everyone who owns a gun and hasn’t made the news probably considers him or herself pretty responsible. Wouldn’t it be better to be “safe” than sorry?
@davidfrum what is responsible. in my view having a gun, unless for work, is not responsible.

@davidfrum: What % of gun owners are "responsible"
+ I would think that potentially responsible gun owners choose not to own 1.

@davidfrum less since most are GOP crazies
