People are still so angry at the Senate for defeating several gun control measures yesterday that at least one didn’t blame the NRA first for a holdup in D.C. today. Angry gun control proponents yesterday accused the Senate of having blood on its hands, and even though no one was reported hurt in this incident, Congress made it possible, somehow, according to American Prospect writing fellow Patrick Caldwell.

Mexico? It’s not like guns just walk across the border, right?

  • grais

All congress needs to do is make laws that criminals will obey, fercrissake.

    There. That was easy

    • Jack Deth

Then we taxpayers would wind up paying off criminals not to commit crimes.
Sounds like a plan, since they vote Democrat, anyway.

  • TDS

If only there were strict gun laws in DC…

  • Michelle

    “Fuck you gunman”

    There, fixed that for him.

    • $8245944

      Now, that really is racist!

    • Jack Deth

      Hi, Michelle:

You forgot the evil glare to make the street thug clutch his heart and keel over.

  • Garth Haycock

My suggestion to those confronted by an armed robber is to try to find out why he wants to rob you in the first place. What did you do to make him want to take your possessions from you? What could you do differently in your life that would make him not want to steal from you? Only then will there be no more armed robberies.

    • Ann Brady Adams

Perhaps go to a local coffee shop together to discuss…

    • Gallatin

That’s too much work, I say just pee on them.

  • Ann Brady Adams

Has nothing to do with the criminal who was already breaking the law…

  • Mister A

I got sunburned at the beach ’cause I didn’t wear sunscreen. Fuck you, Walgreens.

    • Nathan Oaksford

That was a good one. I had to laugh too.

  • Jack Deth

You could always go to Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware or any other FIY store and purchase a portable pneumatic nail gun. No background check or waiting period required.

Besides, Hollywood has already approved of their use in ‘American Psycho’ and ‘The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest’.

    Just sayin’.

    • CatHerder

      Don’t forget Lethal Weapon 2!

    • Richard Jefferies

You could stick your finger in your jacket pocket and I’ll be the Pat would give up his wallet.

  • Clayton Grant

Other than being an armed robber, I’m sure the gunman was a fine, upstanding, law-abiding citizen who would have happily submitted all the required information to pass a background check.

    • Richard Jefferies

      He were a good boy!

  • MrApple

Does this Liberal fool think that the instant a law is passed that the criminal action would no longer take place? Liberalism truly is a mental disorder.

  • Gallatin

    Patrick Caldwell
@cjciaramella DC doesn’t exist in a vacuum. guns are easy to get in neighboring states, hence the need for national policy.

Yeah let’s have a National Policy that criminals like the one you mention in your original tweet won’t follow.

  • $45875941

No shit?! Maybe he just wasn’t up to date on D.C.’s current anti gun policy?! Ya think?????

  • Junie3

If only we could rid the world of men named Pat.

  • Billie Slash

2000 guns “walked” across the border to Mexican drug cartels.
    Fuck you, Remington & Colt.

  • Chip

Hell, per DC police, there was probably a hold up at gun point on every street yesterday.

  • Kingofthehill

So a robbery in DC is the NRA’s fault, so is the bombing in Boston (honestly, o’donnel blamed the nra), Sandy Hook was NRA’s fault…. Im really waiting to hear that the asteroid over russia was the fault of the NRA next.

  • wte9

I thought they didn’t want to ban guns? Oh . . . wait.

  • Richard Jefferies

Ah, the old neighboring state logic, eh? Maybe DC should emulate Virginia’s laws, since they have much less crime. Hmmm, for the life of me I can’t figure out why the old “neighboring states” always have less crime than the state that has the strict gun laws. Someone, please, explain it to me.

    • AMSilver

I have an issue with that too. The logic goes A) Guns are hard to get in DC. B) Guns are easy to get in Virginia. C) Therefore criminals from DC can easily get guns from Virginia and D) therefore lax gun laws are responsible for high crime in DC. However, it doesn’t address the fact that E) It would be easier for a criminal from Virginia to get a gun from Virginia than it would be for a criminal from DC to get a gun from Virginia and F) Therefore Virginia should have more crime than DC. Since F is clearly false, the other assumptions (C & D) are false as well.

That’s just too much logic on my part, isn’t it? Maybe the criminals from Virgina are going up to DC to try and get guns – sort of a criminal exchange program – and since they can’t get guns in DC, the stringent gun laws there are the reason why Virginia has low crime…

  • Nathan Oaksford

Guns don’t walk across the border, Eric Holder ships them. Fed-mex haha
