Several news sources are confirming that a suspicious letter addressed to Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker and intercepted has tested positive for the biotoxin ricin.

Some are noting that positive test results for ricin have proved to be false alarms more than once.

The news has just broken, so before anyone jumps to conclusions … sorry, too late.

What kind of idiot replaces his last name with Obama’s to create his Twitter tag? #FalseIdols

A liberal one. and there are many of them running around, unfortunately.

  • Billie Slash

All this vitriol toward the Right just drips with irony. We conservatives are busy standing PEACEFULLY for the freedoms of all. And yet those who accuse us have defecated on police cars and have trashed private property. The “Animals” are taking over the “Farm”.

  • Peyton

So how long until CNN alleges left wing extremists since it was sent to Republican Senator?

    • CatHerder

      Twelfth of Never, I suspect.

    • vetgal1970

Oh no, they will still say it’s the ‘right wing extremists’ because that Senator is not extreme enough. Such things have already been said, it won’t take long for them to apply it to this….It’s really sad, but after they accused Romney of murder and no one called them on it what will stop them from behaving this way? Certainly not the Preezy of ALL the people, he behaves as though half of us don’t even exist.

  • Clayton Grant

I don’t think Jeff Gauvin will ever find enough Listerine to get the taste of Obama’s nutsack out of his mouth … assuming he wants to of course.

Drop the petty politics, people. Terrorists attacked us yesterday with bombs and continued with ricin attacks today. Who even knows what tomorrow will bring. Americans need to pull together as a country in crisis & fight this thing together. Let’s unite behind our President and hope beyond hope he leads.

    • OneThinDime

I prefer to unite behind Americans and Patriots, not a traitor-in-chief that recycled his Benghazi “we’ll find them” speech. Whatever happened to the Benghazi murders and the Fast and Furious murders???? This American taxpayer wants to know. Or don’t they count? You’d think the first GAY potus would want to solve the murder of the first GAY Ambassador wouldn’t you? Oh wait, both involved his and Holder’s illegal gun running didn’t they.

      • BoldFreshJew ⊕

I refuse to demagogue. A house divided cannot stand. And we — as a country — are falling fast. Obama needs to lead. Now. And in this time of crisis, I pray he does.

        • OneThinDime

Since Jews overwhelming voted for him and ignore what Hitler did, not surprised.

          • Sons Thunder

Yeah – what Jew hasn’t completely forgotten about The Holocaust?

        • Dee

Dude, I want to give you a thumbs up because I agree that we can’t stand divided and I wish O would lead — but why would you think he would start now? He’s the biggest hypocrit of all telling us we need to “stand together” when he’s one of the biggest causes for the divide!

    • Jillane Kent

The President is but one man. I have more faith in my family and my community to help weather a storm than I do one singular man who is rather derisive and hostile toward many of my heartfelt beliefs.

    • IceColdTroll

I agree, but would note that it seems the “petty politics” are being played from the Left. I agree we need to pull together to face our common enemy. It is an enemy which has made war on us since 638 AD, when it first captured Jerusalem and drove out the Roman/Greek Empire, and Christians and Jews alike with it. It pursued intermittent, but never-ending war against us, and achieved high-water marks in Europe of Tours in the west and Vienna in the east, and established a European foothold in the Balkans, where it has caused havoc ever since — “Balkans” itself being a byword for fragmentation and feuding. Incidentally, from Tours to Vienna is a daylight drive today. Imagine if our common enemy had established and kept those beachheads.

That, of course, is over the course of some 1500 years. Just since the morning of 9/11/01, our common enemy has perpetrated more than 20,000 attacks around the globe, with more deaths racked up than can be easily calculated, I will leave that to you, a rich fund of information may be found here:

Yet each and every attack and murder is dismissed by the Left as aberrative behavior by exponents of the “Religion of Peace.” How many must there before concluding that there is something fundamentally wrong with it? Why is there this dismissiveness, while the Left, AT THE SAME TIME, and even this moment, is virtually salivating at the prospect that this can somehow be tied to a white conservative? Why are they already slavering the lurid suggestion that this Boston bombing might be tied to “Tea Party” people, or NRA people, or just vague ties to “patriot” groups? Isn’t that the worst, most divisive and subversive kind of “petty politics”?

    • 3seven77

Let’s hope he leads? What planet are you on?

  • EverybodyTalks

This is the work of the TEA PARTY…..I just wanted to be first in the CRAZY LIB Limbo Line to say that!

    • SpinMeNot

Let me know if they start queuing up for the the bunny hop or a good old fashioned conga line … I can still do those. I’m too old to limbo.

    • Plep

That bar is getting awfully low …

  • Silenttype78

    Jeff Gauvin @JeffersonObama

“The right wing paranoia about losing their assault guns is being played out in Boston and now these Ricin attacks on Capitol Hill.”

I am going to toss out something here…..

    Jeff Gauvin molests children.
    No,I can’t prove it….does that matter?

    • Jillane Kent

It doesn’t matter at all. Just say your source was Harry Reid’s Romney/tax source and you’ll automatically be given credibility.

  • Tom Anderson

I see that idiot Jeff Gauvin has set the liberal meme for this. Its the right winger gun nuts poisoning their own.

  • Jillane Kent

Alex Jones truthers have good company, I see. No matter who the culprit or what the motivations were, they seem to “know” the answer immediately.

  • SpinMeNot

For the record, the field tests for ricin are apparently notorious for producing false positives related to by products from the paper manufacturing processes. I’d like to remind everyone that much like the hypersensitivity to “guns”, many of which of turned out to be ridiculously false, people are just very sensitive at the moment. The Guardian Paper in the UK has a good article on this incident.

Fatal levels are in the microgram to kilogram level for inhalation If it was on the envelope and if that envelope was handled by a mail carrier at some point, we’d know it already. They don’t run the mail through a sensor before its removed from the mailbox and taken into sorting.

  • reags

    #21fixing a small typo…microgram to milligram (not kilo)…

  • Garth Haycock

This Jeff Gauvin character is a moron. Wicker has an A+ rating from the NRA. Why would anyone against gun control do this?

  • Kingofthehill

It was an Anti-Gun Liberal who is mad he’s not voting for gun control.

See, THEY do it…. why shouldn’t we lie about it as well. You know for damn sure if it was a Democrat who got that letter they would of linked it to either…. Tea Party, Right Wing Extremists, NRA, Gun lobby, Gun Nut, Boston bombing blah blah blah.

  • aemoreira81

This is something that should be tested by multiple independent labs before making the claim. That they were false positives before should give one pause.

  • Right Wired

How long before Salon posts a story that says “Let’s hope it was a white guy”?

    Oh wait. Never.
