The National Rifle Association reported a significant surge in membership in the weeks following the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre, but did all of those people really understand what they were signing up for? A vigorous defense of their Second Amendment rights in the face of an opportunistic gun grab? No. According to Democrat strategist Donna Brazile, the NRA comprises people living in fear who just want more guns to shoot any problem that should arise.
Trying to reduce gun violence by having more ppl w/guns is like trying to prevent fires by placing open containers of gasoline everywhere.

We don’t need more guns. People don’t want to live in fear. Well, anybody who thinks that we need more guns probably already lives in fear.

In 2012, we had mass shootings in a movie theater, Mall, a temple, and an elementary schools. Common sense gun safety is the goal. Agree?

Who could disagree with the goal of “common sense gun safety”? Forget the NRA’s extensive network of firearms instructors, coaches and counselors, though. Common sense gun safety means firing two shotgun blasts into the darkness when you feel threatened, right? It also means banning co-eds from carrying guns on campus “safe zones” in their own best interest.
We can spend 2013 getting things done, or we can spend it goofing off. How much will we get done? Gun safety reform is important.

Any questions or comments from those gun nuts out there in the NRA?

@donnabrazile I am they. It's about defending the Constitution in its entirety. Don't generalize and I won't either.

@Piratearian @donnabrazile For every 3 accidents involving guns,100 crimes are STOPPED w/ guns. Ratio: 27-1 effective http://t.co/PJikz9D43O
