Now that everyone, conservative and liberal, has weighed in with their suggestions on how the Republican Party can save itself, it seems the world has turned its attention to the Catholic Church. Jim Carrey tonight uncovered the “sickness” that’s ailing the church — the denial of human sexuality — and it matches Geraldo Rivera’s diagnosis almost word-for-word. Will the next pope be foolish enough to ignore the advice of these two noted theologians?

Wait, I haven’t been paying attention. Are Geraldo’s fish ok? Did he ever get that generator? Let’s handle one crisis at a time here.

    • TocksNedlog

The only ‘crises’ Geraldo suffers occur whenever five minutes go by without somebody paying attention to him.

  • Randi Starr

I can see how he could feel this way after what 5 marriages and numerous female companionship’s.Before during and after…………

    • kateorjane

Apparently Geraldo has a problem with the RCCs position on that whole one marriage bit also.

      • Randi Starr

He’s narcissistic, he would call it sharing himself.

Would Rivera sit by as this Catholic admonishes the followers of the Jewish faith for not eating bacon?

    • robcrawford2

      Sure he would.

Just don’t say anything bad about Islam.

  • Joe W.

So now Geraldo thinks he can persuade the Catholic Church to change 2000 years of religious doctrine on HIS say so?? What a pompous clown. The next Pope “must” do NOTHING that YOU demand of him, pea brain. Who the hell do you think you are, anyway?? Go look for Al Capone’s body or something. Sheeeesh…

  • peteee363

last time i checked, geraldo was not a cardinal, so what does he think his opinion means? perhaps he should stick to stopping the fast movement of chairs with his face, he is pretty good at that!

    • TocksNedlog

Last time I checked, Geraldo was nothing.

      Update: No change.

  • Mitchell Hendricks

He just insulted everyone in every religion who has respect for themselves and their beliefs. As Daffy Duck would say you’re despicable.

  • Richard Jefferies

While I may find the Catholic Church’s interpretations inaccurate on the subject, the Pope doesn’t advocate for celibacy for everyone, Geraldo. They fell, and are entitled to feel, that their priests SHOULD, by their own free will, decide to live a life a celibacy in pursuit of godliness. Mocking this sacrifice only makes you look like an ass clown, well more so than you do already. Historically vacuous idiots like you like to think that human sexuality has “progressed” over two-centuries, when really it just on a path of regression that was rampant at the time of Christ.

  • dmbatten

That is Man’s opinion, not God’s.

  • gracepmc

Geraldo, was, is and forever will be a complete self serving ahole. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.

    As The Meme Turns
Can’t wait to hear the take of some of our finest middle-aged celebri-whores on this one.

  • TocksNedlog

For his next trick, Geraldo will explain how the Constitution failed to anticipate Lady Gaga.

Dear Jimmy Rivers and Jim “Not Funny Anymore” Carrey — just because you cannot stop touching your penises doesn’t mean others suffer the same problem.

These people* are shaking my faith in the Big Guy. Not one of them has been turned into a pillar of salt. They remain the pillars of (s-word) they’ve always been.

(* the politest term I can come up with for the likes of these guys)

  • Jim J

When I think of what is needed to “save the Church” my first thought is always “What does Geraldo think?”

Jim, I love your avatar. Michael Moore in a fez.
