Newsbusters’ Matthew Balan is more than fair in his analysis of progressive talker Stephanie Miller’s racist slight Thursday against Twitchy founder Michelle Malkin. Sure, it’s possible that Miller just had rice balls on the brain when she called Malkin’s warning of an Obamacare-inspired exodus of talented doctors a “rice ball of health care nonsense.” But in today’s progressive, post-racial America where words like “breadbasket,” “aloof” and “peanut butter and jelly” send the mainstream media gasping for breath, we’ll assume Miller’s giving herself a pass and letting this one go. Not us, though.

Why don’t they just answer her argument? What’s left to say after Juan Williams offered the brilliant rejoinder, “Calm down“? Well, we suppose he only covered the sexist angle.

Call Obamacare an unpalatable mess of fried chicken and collard greens and see how well that goes. Or call Marco Rubio’s Immigration Reform plan “A rancid beef and bean burrito of bad policy options,” and see how the MFM react.

I know, I am staring to sound like a broken record, but I am getting kind of sick of the overt racism that rears it’s ugly head around here sometimes…

      Edit*
V the K, I read your post again (after you edited it) and it was not as overtly racist as it had appeared, sorry…but I stand by my statement about a certain segment of this community

You do realize, I made a mistake and instead of weaseling out of it, I admitted to it and apologized. You can downvote me if you want :

        • carti

The post you criticized wasn’t racist in the least and instead of admitting you didn’t get it, you keep blathering on defending your original incorrect premise…which makes your half-baked “sorry, but…” apology worthless. That’s why you’re getting downvoted. Get it?

          • http://www.facebook.com/138900508 Patrick Dennehy

My premise is not incorrect… I stand by my assertion, that a certain segment of this community says some pretty racist things. If you want, I can link multiple instances with 20+ upvotes and little to no downvotes. If I need to prove my case, I can and will. It’s not that I “didn’t get it”. AS I SAID, V the K, edited their post which clarified their position, after which I edited my post and apologized.

          • $36544368

Maybe a certain segment of the community says some racist things…but to each other, usually not on Twitter, and usually not on TV…this is (I thought), among other things, supposed to be a ‘safe’ place to sort of vent and share the frustrations we feel at the double-standard, the liberal agenda, etc. I don’t know about you, but I do get a little tired of being lied to, walked on, and expected to ‘toe the line’ all the time by Progressives, etc….it’s not okay to be a little ticked about that once in a while? I’m not a frickin’ robot.

          • V the K

For the record: the only “editing” that was done was the addition of the sentence about Marco Rubio, which is the same flavor as the preceding sentence; the sentence that nobody but *you* thought was racist.

          • Verreck

I don’t understand how you don’t think it is racist to inject stereotypes of a particular race into something that has absolutely nothing to do with race.
Or am I getting something wrong? What are you trying to say by using ‘fried chicken and collard greens’ to describe Obamacare?

          • V the K

            (Le sigh)

The point is, liberals get to make “racist” remarks, like “rice ball of health care nonsense” with impunity. Whereas a conservative who said something comparable, such as “mess of collard greens and fried chicken that is Obamacare” would be pilloried. Some think that double standard is hypocritical and unfair

And many of us also feel the threshold of what is considered “racism” is set far too low and that knee-jerk accusations of “racism” any time someone says the wrong word only exacerbate racial tensions. We would be better off as a country if we didn’t let our standard of “offensive language” be set by the most neurotically oversensitive people in society.

I should not have to explain these things.

I feel you could have made the same exact point, without using similar wording to the people you were condemning.

          • V the K

And I think you’re a d-ck for implying I made an overtly racist statement then tried to cover it up with “editing” when I did no such thing.

          • http://www.facebook.com/138900508 Patrick Dennehy

I am a lot of things and ‘a dick’ might be one of them. I definitely jumped the gun, when slamming your post, and for that I apologize. I am just hypervigilant against racially disparaging remarks. I am just so sick of the GOP being portrayed as ‘rich white racists’. I know that moniker is false and propagated by the left. I will not give some libtard any opportunity to try to continue that narrative. We can flip it on them, if we remain sensitive to the fact that, that is how we are constantly being portrayed.

I understand you were trying to point out the hypocrisy that exists and I had a momentary lapse, was too sensitive, and rushed to judgement. I do not think you are racist and I know the overwhelming majority of twitchy isn’t either. We just need to remove certain phrases from the vernacular.

If I wanted to cover-up my mistake, I would have deleted the post and it would have been posted by ‘Guest’.

          • V the K

            Thank you for clarifying that.

          • V the K

And I apolgize if my language is harsh or offensive, but it is how I feel.

      • http://extremesplash.wordpress.com/ Ben Bollman

Not being as politically correct and oversensitive as liberals are is not racism. Liberals calling conservative black people “House N-gger” is racist.

    • http://www.facebook.com/138900508 Patrick Dennehy

I understand your point, that a double standard exists, and it’s infuriating. I am not calling you out specifically, I have just seen several instances of it, and we need to cut that stuff out. It’s not cool.

The last election has shown me that we can’t win on ideas. We won the battle of ideas, and they stole the election.

They need to be destroyed, and that means by any means necessary.

          • Verreck

You believe there was voter fraud by the Democrats in the last election? D
And does ‘by any means necessary’ include Sharon Angles ‘Second Amendment remedies’ in lieu of elections?

          • http://twitter.com/TruPundit BristolGOP Backup

Until republicans can steal votes at least as well as democrats do, theres not much to talk about.

EDIT: oh, wait, now I remember what you are talking about. It was when she said she didn’t know the details, but the police acted stupidly, right?

Or maybe when she proposed a crypto-fascist civilian police force as well-funded as the military?

Hypocrisy Party. Democrats really need to change their name. I believe they are now overusing Alsinsky Rule #5.

  • http://www.facebook.com/138900508 Patrick Dennehy

I love how they say, Michelle Malkin is an idiot, because she’s an idiot. Where do they say why/how she is wrong, or better yet introduce a better solution, or anything that could be construed as an original thought.

    • Catchance

And the strawman, “So there are no doctors any more” (Hahahahaha!) And when that woman came on the phone and used an ad hominem attack about how “annoying” Michelle Malkin’s face is, they all laughed and giggled like 7th graders. Ugh.

      • DB1954x

It’s not true and it’s not funny either. I think I detected at least one phony, forced laugh there.

        • Catchance

I know! Michelle made a very valid point that doctors are leaving the practice of medicine because of O-Care, and they sneered and giggled, then laughed again when the phone woman was so hateful.

          • $36544368

I’m losing two doctors because of Obamacare…one of which I’ve had since 1981.

          • Catchance

Yes. Many doctors (especially in smaller or rural areas) are going to a ‘concierge’ plan, whereby a patient base pays a certain amount upfront for the year, allowing them either unlimited or a specified number of visits. In a way, it’s self-insuring, so I have no idea if they’ll be allowed to continue. My g.p. doesn’t take Medicare now, and is planning on leaving his practice next year when O-Care kicks in completely.

  • Harry G

That was beyond tasteless; and the libs call us intolerant. Go figure…

  • waltermitty2012

Miller’s show is called “Talking Liberally” and not “Talking Intelligently” for a reason.

  • http://twitter.com/Gator_Country Stephen K

Don’t forget – it’s not racism when liberals do it.

    • Frustrated Teacher

They are allowed to talk this way about conservatives, because the are morally superior, don’t you know….

      • Catchance

Bill Whittle calls it “unearned moral superiority”.

        • Frustrated Teacher

I call it ‘delusional moral superiority’.

  • TocksNedlog

Miller, of course, is NOT prejudiced against all people of Asian descent — just the conservative ones.

    • DB1954x

Actually, she didn’t say “conservative rice balls” did she?

  • Maxx

    Cue her apology in 3…..2……1…..

I didn’t realize Philly, the place of Michelle’s birth, had so many rice fields.

  • vino veritas

This is just a pathetic cry for attention from someone who gets none,
    except from those rat-brained, slop-dwelling, disease-carrying vermin
she farts around with who also happen to accompany her on various trips
to local city garbage dumps when they’re looking to spend a ‘night on the
    town’.
The lame hag has no ratings or popularity and she knows it so
she pulls these sorry stunts from her rat cave (which she never dares to
leave, btw) every so often in order to get Michelle to respond & RT
her and so sites like newsbusters will call her out. If it wasn’t for
this she would be writhing in perpetual obscurity and irrelevance and no
one would or will bother to wipe the feces from her rotten, venomous,
bloated, shamu-sized corpse or the clean the snake cake crumbs from any
of her triple chins when she finally does the world a long overdue favor
and kicks that damned bucket she set up for herself thanks to all of
her irrational hatred and clearly poor lifestyle choices.

a white sapphite making racist comments .no surprise. now lets stop the racist comments about Pres Obama ,Trayvon Martin Obama supporters. etc.

    • Teresa Davis McCormick

what racist comments about Obama? I haven’t heard any.

      • michael s

You’re being dishonest with that statement. I’ve seen topics pointing out racism towards Pres Obama. When Bill Maher makes a racist joke against Pres Obama its correctly called out . But when its Donald trump its dismissed,or people try to say he’s not really a conservative. The affirmative action president, excessive food stamp references, Obongo ,endless. Don’t give me real racism only happens to conservatives.

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

I haven’t seen anything racist towards Obama, either. In fact, most people go out of their way to avoid saying anything even remotely resembling racism towards Obama, simply to dodge your accusation. In any event, at least we don’t have to resort to that. If Obama’s policies were sound and he were a bit more humble, as THE Servant of the American People, he’d be a very likeable person, I’m sure.

        • Teresa Davis McCormick

ok so you named 2 people who said something racial which by the way I didn’t see or hear. What does being concerned about entitlements have to do with race? Do you assume all people on Welfare are people of color? Maybe you see racists everywhere because, sir, you yourself are racist.

If Stephanie Miller wants to know where Michelle Malkin gets her data, maybe she should call her up and ask her. Apparently doing her own research is to exhausting for poor Stephanie.

Hard to fathom that Miss Miller’s father, William Miller, was Barry Goldwater’s running mate in the 1964 presidential election.

Real journalists (and not bloggers) know that “rice balls” is a euphemism for someone of Asian descent with balls. It was a compliment and should be taken as such. Like “credit to your race” but “credit to your rice”.

  • Gallatin

More proof of what I have always thought, democrats, leftists, and libturds of all stripes are the most racist people on the planet.

  • J.N. Ashby

Sounds like a Democrat dinner whistle…get it? Because Asians eat…ah never mind.

  • rant stocks

OK let’s do truth to power, during the first 2 years of fake Obama admin. Obama sold the tabulation software to a spainish company in spain for 1.2 million bucks called SCYTI that tabulates american votes. this software can sway the votes one way or the other without you knowing which way. It happened to me at the polling place. Why do you think Obama kept saying vote early. once voting is complete the software vanish’s no trace at all….we need to abolish electronic voting and back to paper ballots, not that easy to corrupt.Michelle Malkin wrote a book called Culture of Corruption read then you will know the truth of your fake president.

  • Kevmo

Dear morons who didn’t listen to the show: She had been talking about the “Slow Loris Eating Rice Ball” video all day, and all week before that. That’s where she got the phrase. Not that any of you people care about little things like context… Unless when it comes to Rush Limbaugh calling somebody a slut.

  • TJ Wright

You people really are stupid. She was talking all morning about a Slow Loris eating a rice ball video (easily found on Youtube)

You right-wingers are always pulling that race card and the Coulter “victim” card aren’t you? Pathetic.

I am afraid your favorite anchor baby, Malkin, and her drooling, mouth breather, supporters are way off this time.
