As Twitchy reported this afternoon, a 14-year-old was shot in the back of the neck at Price Middle School in Atlanta, Ga., today in what police suspect was a targeted shooting. The Associated Press is reporting tonight that an armed officer on duty at the school was able to diarm the shooter just moments after the incident. The shooter was then taken into custody.

Wayne LaPierre? Isn’t he the guy who suggested kids should be armed so they could shoot back? No, that was David Frum. The NRA had suggested trained adults like the one at Price Middle School stand guard, but, whatever.

* * *

How will liberals react? Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert points out the obvious: an armed guard didn’t prevent the first shooting from happening. Did he prevent a second shooting from happening? We’ll never know, because he managed to disarm the shooter.

It may only take the constitution to stop your average democrat but it truly takes a gun to stop a killer, no?

    God bless this armed guard!

  • peteee363

i hope it wasn’t a gun free scool zone, the person responsible for stopping the violence might be charged, while the perp will be the victim.

  • fivegreatkids

Of course we won’t hear about this in the msm. It doesn’t follow their agenda. Armed guards with *gasp* guns aren’t supposed to actually protect anybody (except liberal money bags). This was a fluke! Or made up! A figment of some tea bagger’s imagination etc… etc…

    • Sons Thunder

The sources for the Twitchy piece were the AP and CBS News. So, of course, we have already heard about this in the MSM.

This happens all the time. MSM reports a story. A blogger picks it up. Commenters at the blog write about how the MSM won’t report the story.

What you people don’t realize is that having the armed resource officer only made the situation much more dangerous for everybody. What if he had dropped is gun and some kid picked it up?

    • Randi Starr

Grow the hell up. What if you have an active thought process? Oh, never mind.

      • fivebyfive

I think you missed the snark included in RonP’s post

        • Randi Starr

Sorry snarks don’t carry well on the internet without a notation.

you are right, we need to take the guns away from the cops, and perhaps we should take the tanks away from the army. think of how dangerous it would be for some pilot in the air force to drop a bomb, better take away them too. but i would much rather get rid ot the idiots on the left, and keep the guns, tanks, and jets with bombs.

And if your aunt had been born with a penis, she’d be your uncle.
By the way, that whooshing sound you hear is the point of the news story zooming over your head as it approaches Mach.

I hope to God that was meant in a sarcastic way. If nto, you are quite possibly the stupidest person alive.

  • brewerandpatriot

To really stop these perps, we should spend billions on a Phillip K. Dick-inspired pre-crime initiative where clairvoyant mutants are locked away while constantly thinking about people with evil intentions. Or they could just arrest all the liberals now and get it over with.

  • Michael Rice

They must not have had the gun free zone sign up where it coud be seen properly or else this would not have happened.

The Federation Transporter that transports firearms away to a holding buffer after the carrier enters the area was provided by a crony contractor….

It obviously was non-operational. It seems that all the transporters in those signs are non-operational!

It’s a Klingon Plot! I say we should force The First Klingon™ to confess The Empire’s involvement by making “it” (ie, The First Klingon™) watch old Mickey Mouse Club™ shows until they drive “it” to drink.

Do you mean to tell me that the “No Guns” sign and gun free school zone law didn’t stop this delinquent from trying to murder a school mate?

NRA proves presence of armed school security can indeed limit the number of potential victims.
