Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele heaped shame upon those members of the GOP who skipped out of the inaugural ceremonies today, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t busy doing something else. Some of them were scheduling a vote on Wednesday to kick the can that is the debt ceiling showdown down the road another four months.

The House will vote Wednesday on a move to suspend the nation’s debt ceiling until mid-May. House Speaker John Boehner will make himself available to the press tomorrow afternoon to explain the move.

Is there a big difference? Not really, if the House votes to suspend the debt ceiling for four months only to raise it in the spring. Some wonder: is four months enough time for a GOP spine transplant?

oh, Epic fail yet again GOP

absolutely disgusting. In two short years, we’ve gone from the hope of
Tea Party candidates fighting tooth-and-nail for fiscally conservative principles, to a
bunch of pansies that are scared to even look in the Preezy’s general direction.

If you vote for an incumbent in ’14, shame on you – every one of these fools should be out of work ASAP.

    As absolutely everyone predicted.

Is there going to be a 60th year reunion party for “taking back the Republican Party” in 2018?

I’m toying with the idea of cremation, to have my ashes scattered over Grahamnasty & Speaker Smeagol at the event… if we’re having it. Otherwise I won’t bother w/cremation…
