CNN’s Piers Morgan and Dana Loesch have already clashed over the Second Amendment via Twitter, so many were looking forward to fireworks when Loesch appeared on “Piers Morgan Tonight” Wednesday.

We understand completely. For those who missed it (or just couldn’t bear to watch), here’s a pretty accurate transcript of the first five minutes or so.

Was there a point? Morgan obviously believes that the government should restrict the right to own firearms, preferably to a single musket per household. If only Loesch would admit that she doesn’t need a tank, then she certainly doesn’t need an AR-15 either, right? Limits are important, so what makes you think you need 100 rounds of ammo? Or 10 rounds of ammo? Seven? That sounds about right, but certainly not eight. Seven.

AR-15 owner Loesch would have liked to have talked about her desire to own that particular firearm, in part to its ease of fire and limited recoil, but there wasn’t much time for that, because tanks. Morgan wrapped things up by crumpling a sheet of paper in righteous indignation, for the children. Man, he really crumpled that paper. Violently.

What was that piece of paper, anyway? Did he tear the Second Amendment out of that “little book” for the occasion? Loesch continued to fight for her rights, and not just those guaranteed by the Second Amendment, on Twitter after the show.

  • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

No link? I wish to see Piers Morgan’s paper crumpling hissy fit.

    • Dick Beninya
      • Ardell Simon

Sorry, I just can’t watch Piers!

        • PennyRobinsonFanClub

Agree, most of this nonsense, the transcript is enough. MORE than enough!

    • ssenecal5000

Hellooooo Piers ( I know you stay up late at night googling yourself)

You can buy a British tank if you like……….
They get lousy gas mileage and ohh what a pain to park!

      • Grumpa Grumpus

A tank isn’t really “…a pain to park.”

You can “make” your own parking space…

        Particularly gratifying when you need to park at a location and some boob’s parked to take two spaces. ;~)}

        Proposed bumpersticker:

Make your next family vehicle a tank!
        They always have right-of-way!
Just ask the man who owns one!

        • IBXNJ

The ease of parking, turns on a dime, large but a dime and WHO would fight you for a parking spot??

  • DjWeideman

For those who missed it, the full interview here:

  • DavidKramer

@provost24 @DLoesch Wow, so besides trashing the 2nd Amendment you want to trash the 1st as well. Typical lefty academic. Mao be praised!

    • Rulz

I’ll thumb this up, but the only person I’ll be praising is Jesus.

    • fmahoney

Mao you idiots need to wake up and do what is right for the country.

  • peteee363

    wow, what a whiney baby piers is. oh, and dana is smoking hot, where is brent when i need some commentary? (sorry michelle, but you need to appear with her, and i will lump you in too!) {i hope the right michelle gets this, i was referring to the conservative one, not mrs thunder thighs}

  • TMZ2

it was a badly done interview, highlighted by all three guests talking over each other and Piers coming to quick conclusions and asking too many nit-picking questions thus interrupting the two conservative women on who were Dana Loesch and Scottie Hughes. The interview went downhill when Scottie said people have rights in the 2nd amendment that allow them to get tanks if they want. Piers kept coming back to that all interview and concluded conservatives want tanks.

    • ceemack

Who’d want a tank with these gas prices?

      • TomJB

Seriously correct. My Abrams (work, not home, settle down, Piers) gets about 2 gallons per mile…

        • peteee363

did you ever want to take your work home, or do a drive by in a member of the media’s hood?

          • RblDiver

(Made me think of the story a few years back where a guy who’d just been robbed followed the thief in his hummer. When the thief stopped, the guy did too…on TOP of the thief’s car!)

    • BeautifulAmerica

I’m sure you don’t mean the Michelle who added 2 books on Marxism & Mao to our White House Library?

  • DavidKramer

What about a tank, what about a tank? Tell me piers, do you think the people that go after the tyrannical government would just walk out into the open and engage tanks? I swear lefties do not acknowledge history. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. A modern military like the US miliatary is great when fighting another military, they are inherently ineffective when attempting to engage a citizenry that is entrenched. Why do you think the government wants the registration system up and running? That way they know who to go after. PERIOD!

By the way, you propagandists piers are the ones on the front lines, just remember that idiot.

  • Jack Deth

Yeah, Piers got slapped around pretty badly by two stunning women.

Even when he talked over his guests as they replied to his ludicrous questions.

I wonder if he visits a Dominatrix on a regular basis?

  • JC in TN

Funny. I know a couple of guys who own tanks. They’re expensive monstrosities to operate, even if you just keep them for parades and such.

Heck yes.. If I could afford one, and was willing to do what was necessary to responsibly operate it – I should be able to have a tank. Or an Apache helicopter. Or an F-16 fighter jet.

To bad I don’t have a few million dollars to spare for the purchase, maintenance, and training.

    • alanhenderson

      Don’t tell Piers…

      • ozconservative

Tweeted it back at him. Not holding my breath for a reply.

        • alanhenderson

That’s my kind of sports utility vehicle.

      • Catchance

        Tanks for the info!

    • TugboatPhil

I wonder what Piers would think if he knew that farmers used to routinely keep dynamite for getting rid of tree stumps? Ahhh, the good ol’ days!

      • ozconservative

Actually after the war a lot pf tanks were put to use on farms here in Australia as tractors.

      • bicentennialguy

They used to be able to keep all types of poisons, including cyanide, for rodents and other pestilence.

    • JohnPSquibob

To answer Mr. Morgan, there is a vary narrow condition where there would be a right to own a tank under 2A.

That would be when the government felt it would be OK to suppress the American People with a tank.

I guess Mr. Morgan never watched the events of Tienanmen Square in China.

      • מרטין

        Or the Branch Dividian siege.

      • bicentennialguy

He was probably cheering on the Chinese army.

    • Blake Waymire

I’m not sure Piers knows that it’s legal to drive tanks on roads in Britain as long as the gun has been deactivated. Or at least it was a few years ago.

And if I had the money, I’d find myself an old tank in a heartbeat! The ultimate in offroad fun!

  • OldmanRick

Does Piers Morgan even have a pair? It would seem from his recent antics that the answer is a resounding “No”.

    • beebop1952

I am sure he has a pair of loafers ….

  • BryanB61

Larry Gould’s phone number: 785-628-4241 give him a call and exercize your 1st Ammendment right to tell him what a tool he is…

I sense he firmly believes that he is more entitled to his beliefs that anyone whose beliefs include the “quaint” concepts upon which the nation was founded.

As badly as I want to see PM have his ath handed to him by the two ladies, I still can’t stomach his “interview?”…”style?”….

  • Michelle

Would have loved to watch, but as is the case with a lot of folks…I just can’t stomach the sight of his face or sound of his voice.

“The state must declare the child to be the most precious

    • Catchance

      Well done.

  • Ty Pryor

Your rights end, where my feelings begin.

  • Kabong30

And once again he openly trashed them after they were gone. I love the UK and her people (their govt not withstanding) but this guy REALLY represents them poorly. He thought he was gonna pick apart two women (which really says a lot) and they kicked his tail.

  • AlmaAlma

Don’t own ANYTHING that you can use as a weapon. Okey Dokey Piers??? Throw away that cutlery old man.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Not to mention all kitchen utensils, chairs, lamps, books, writing utensils, curtain rods, end tables, small appliances, ties, belts, shoelaces, scarves, eyeglasses, and coathangers (unless you’re a DIY abortionist), all gardening implements, lawnmowers (riding and push-type), all hand and power tools, automobiles and most other motorized methods of conveyance, etc,, etc,, etc.,,,,,,,

  • ClinkinKY

The words “Piers Morgan”have been uttered more times in the last two weeks than the first 40 whatever years of his life. And mostly in disgust. What’s the old saying? “The only thing worse than bad publicity is no publicity”. I’d sure like to see this proved wrong.

  • disqus_LASIg6epmj

I actually don’t even think Piers cares about this issue. It’s only a way for him to get ratings–yes, a desperate attempt, but he’s hanging on by a thread since no one watches his show. The folks in England hate him and don’t want him back.

    • Kevin Krom

Well, except for the people waiting to prosecute him for illegal wire-tapping.

    • Catchance

Yes! That’s exactly what I thought. He’s ginned up his outrage in order to gin up his audience, which is pretty much non-existent.

    • Reverend Ken

…but the courts in England sure wanna talk to him.

  • Gallatin

    Larry Gould
    Then stop talking.

I have a better idea larry, why don’t you shut your pie hole because you have absolutely nothing intelligent to say.

  • dmacleo

    what about privateers and cannons?
oh wait, the US Gov did contract out to private owners to help fight wars.
including 1812 when we slapped the crown around again.
too bad the people of this country were not able to do that again. sheep.

  • LoriGirl

I’ve been looking at garage sales for RPGs and launch mechanisms. No?

  • rivers

So according to Larry Gould, if one wants to avoid threats to their life they should stop doing whatever it is that puts them in the line of fire? Should elected officials step down and shut up as well or is it just private citizens who can’t have an opinion?

    • lainer51

“Should elected officials step down and shut up as well?”

      If only……………………………..

  • BobTheUmp

Don’t let the Pea-Brained Provost distract. The issue remains that people like “The Musket” and progressive pols have left our children unguarded and at risk. The nearest armed response in Newtown, CT was miles and minutes away. The crazed gunman who stole guns to commit heinous crimes was able to do so because there was no one to protect the children at Sandy Hook. Liberal policies and wishful thinking have left our children in free fire zones for crazies and committed terrorists.

  • Robert Santos

Funny I read this, but there’s a guy near where I work who does have tanks, yes, plural. At least a couple of them. He uses them for parades like on July 4 and such. Though I don’t think the guns work, of course that could be fixed in a hurry, right, guys?

  • lissa

Then he went to commercial, came back without the two women he’d been interrupting ad infinitum, and starts comiserating with another guest about how he finds it “hard to stay calm and rational” with people like his previuos guests. The second his guests start to make points that go against his agenda, he goes into meltdown mode. Comical.

  • Marcy Cook

Funny Piers should ask that question about tanks….I’ve been thinking of getting one, especially to navigate the potholes in Nanny Bloomberg’s city.

He should have stuck with phone hacking. He’s much better at it

  • 2ifbyT

I did watch this last night. It was glorious! Piers was having one snitty fit after another. And the paper-crumbling was magnificent. As they went to a break, he didn’t even want to look at Scottie, sitting right across from him.

    Eat it, Piers.

    • 1SkepticalChick

He came way too close to actually throwing that peice of paper AT Scottie. If it had hit her I wouldn’t have blamed her for beaning him on air with that IPad on the desk in front of her. She could just lean over and “bop!”.

      • CherDash

Scottie has an attack iPad? Cool :-)

        • AlwaysFreeAmerica

Or is it an “assault iPad”, HA!

        • 1SkepticalChick

Yeah, who knew Ipad’s were WMD’s? Assault Ipad’s should be outlawed. Or require an extensive background check to own one.

  • lainer51

Hey Piersy – why don’t you ask Reno and Bubba that question? They are the “tank” experts – can you say “Waco?”

    • Jack Deth

      Hi, Lainer:

If I remember correctly (IIRC), Reno testified after Waco that a Bradley Armored Personnel Carrier modified to crash through walls and barricades and fire pyrotechnic tear gas canisters was the equivalent to “A good rental car.”

  • John

Response to “do you have the right to a tank?”: Did Bill ayers need a tank? did FALN? did Tim McVeigh? Piers, the materials they used are cheaper than a tank and readily available. I don’t need a tank or any of the three aforementioned people/group’s materials. What would you do Piers if Occupy Wall Street in NYC, San Fran, Oakland, etc. turned violent and attacked you on the street? Wait, I know … A Jerry Nadler 5 bullet clip would stop them because the police sure as hell wouldn’t? You are unicorn dreaming, Piers People don’t need the guns you detest for hunting; they need them for protection against mobs. (and yes a mob can be 3-4 people as in any home invasion.)

    • bicentennialguy

He’d drop to his knees and promise to orally service them if they spared him.

      • TheRealJackpineSavage

he may offer even if he wasn’t in danger…

  • Bonnie_

A gentleman near us owns a Japanese Zero fighter airplane and flies it on the weekends. I love watching it zoom around in the blue skies. Perhaps Piers could explain to us how we Americans, who saved the Brits from the Nazis and the Bushido, shouldn’t be allowed to own Zeros.

    • Will P.

How the hell is he going to hunt with a Zero? Get serious.

      • bicentennialguy

        • stuckinIL4now

Some people need interpreters or the /sarc tag. Uh–libturds think the 2nd amendment is all about hunting.

  • jacksonjay

I think all you need to get a job at CNN is to have an exotic name or country of origin!
Sanjay Gupta, Fareed Zakaria, Ali Velshi, Piers Morgan, Christian Amanpour! Why the hell did they hire Jake Tapper?

    • bicentennialguy

Or just be a condescending a$$hole.

    • AlwaysFreeAmerica

  • forrest

So according to the prof, you can pick freedom of speech OR the right to live.

  • CrustyB

If Piers Morgan traveled back in time to ask the Founding Fathers what the intent of the 2nd Amendment was they’d probably shoot him.

    • bicentennialguy

The world couldn’t be that lucky.

  • JustLikeAnimals

It’s official: Piers Morgan is now Dana Loesch’s bitch. She totally owned that troll.

  • Andy Jacobson

Piers Morgan is just putting on a show entertaining on this issue, it’s the only thing giving him ratings right now. As soon as this blows over his rating will go back down to sub zero. And his tired rant on why does anyone “need” an AR15, well it’s a right not a “need” that’s covered by the constitution, he’s just lucky he’s in American and we don’t get to mandate what we think HE “needs”.

  • Steve_J

By crumpling the paper was Musket attempting oragami?

  • edward cropper

    Shades of Michael DuTaxus
    check my blog

  • walterc

I wish we would quit letting the left dictate the discussion. No one “NEEDS” a tank under the second amendment any more than we “NEED” a Porsche or Lincoln Navigator or a yacht or fur coats (freedom of expression). It’s not a matter of whether or not we need certain types of guns, the Constitution gives us the God given right to own guns.

And Piers, you don’t NEED to act like a dick in a Country that you don’t like. If you think we need laws like England has, go back to England. We fought a Revolution to get away from being like England.

  • NickGranite

This guy would take Barney Fife’s one bullet if he could.

  • Guest

Enough of that simpering phony, Morgan (or whatever he calls himself)
    pull the flush handle already…!!

  • $129448

Piers Morgans questions was just plain dumb. He obviously had nothing else to ask Dana. He then goes on to suck up to Al Roker in the next segment, like he has something important to say?

  • J.N. Ashby

Yes, I actually do feel we should be allowed to have tanks, though I think you’ll find tanks aren’t as useful as they were 50 years ago. A submarine? Still. YES!

  • 1972patriot

Why exactly is a crooked foreign born, reality TV judge playing a role in our Constitutional debate? #CNN #ShutHimUp

    • stuckinIL4now

He was a reality TV contestant first on Trump’s The Apprentice so I blame The Donald and he should have dispose of Musket Morgan for us.

  • Dallas Worthy

Keep talking about Piers. He LOVES it. Good for ratings. That’s money in the bank people! Chaching!
