Gateway Pundit and Fox News are reporting tonight that Americans for Prosperity has filed a complaint with police regarding the destruction of its tent by union thugs during Tuesday’s right-to-work protests in Lansing, Mich.

But by taking its case to the police, doesn’t AFP open itself up to an investigation? Won’t authorities uncover AFP’s plot to smear peace-loving union protesters by destroying its own tent and hitting people’s fists with Steven Crowder’s face?

Accuse the Accusers: @scrowder Gets the Left’s ‘Plate Glass Window’ Treatment

After yesterday’s incident in which labor union activists tore down an Americans for Prosperity tent in Lansing and sucker-punched Stephen Crowder, this headline zoomed up the Memorandum aggregation:

Breitbart Folks Appear to Fake Violence in Lansing

Huh? This was a decidedly odd piece of blogging: The claim that somehow the union thug clobbering Crowder was part of a right-wing hoax, based on such “evidence” as the event having been reported by “James O’Keefe’s buddy” Lee Stranahan — because, hey, if anybody at Breitbart thinks it’s actually news, that means it must be phony, right?
“Accuse the accusers!” Re-arrange the narrative of events so that a story that obviously makes the Left look bad is, instead, a story about the Right unjustly trying to make the Left look bad.

Crowder is being smashed “through a plate glass window,” so to speak. If conservative New Media and citizen-journalists call attention to such an incident, that very fact — the involvement of conservatives, and their interest in the incident as news — will be leveraged by liberals as part of the counter-narrative to discredit and de-legitimize the story.

Wow, will they stop at nothing?

  • Finrod Felagund

But they’re still claiming that Crowder must have punched his own face or some other such crap because he hasn’t filed a police report. They must be champion limboers, because there’s no level to which they won’t stoop.

I still am of the opinion that these are union cops, nothing is going to come of this. Brother first, cop second.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ll be very surprised if they do anything about this.

  • GaryTheBrave

How are they going to find a judge that won’t side with the union?

    Good. Sue and Sue often!

I’m betting the tent was not damaged in any way. It was taken down and rendered unusable by the Kochies, which, though morally defensible is probably illegal.

See if this article makes the case: Tentgate: What really happened?

      • Juvenal451

A good, thorough investigative article. Thanks.

What a joke. Greta had the police on her show and you could tell this guy was going to do nothing in response to the destruction or the complaint. It will get buried and even if they bring it to court the left wing judges will throw it out. This is no longer a country of laws we are officially a banana republic.

If aTea Party member did this kind of violence at one of their rallies you know that would be the main story for ABC,CBS,CNN and MSNBC but since it was the Union thugs that caused all the violence you dont here anything from the media.
