As often as MSNBC hosts accused conservatives of blowing racist “dog whistles” during the campaign season, we still think our hearing is pretty good. Quite a few people heard real journalist Chuck Todd this evening refer to “so-called right-to-work legislation” in his coverage of Michigan’s recent vote. Now why would he say that?

Exactly. But as long as we’re qualifying terms, why stop with right-to-work?

Todd’s not alone, apparently.

Stay strong, Governor Snyder…do the right thing for Michigan!

  • Joe Hilger

How about we refer to Obama as as the So-called President ? ?

    • PennyRobinsonFanClub

The one who kow-tows to the so-called Religion of Peace?

  • HARP2

I wonder if Todd would agree that as a condition of his employment he was forced to join the Heritage Foundation and then 75% of his dues would go to Conservative causes.

  • Albert N. Milliron

Obama called it “so called”. Right to work in his speech today in Michigan

  • Terry_Jim

Is that like the so- called Affordable Care Act?

    • fuskiegirl21

Whatever became of the So-called recovery?

  • TocksNedlog

So much for Chuck Todd’s so-called “objectivity”.

Why does anyone watch anything with “NBC” in it? In 1992, Dateline’s film showed a sample of a low speed accident with the fuel tank exploding. In reality, Dateline NBC producers had rigged the truck’s fuel tank with remotely controlled model rocket engines to initiate the explosion. The program did not disclose the fact that the accident was staged. When it comes to politics they are in the pocket of Liberal left wing nuts!!!

What would F.Chuckie have to say about a “so called” right to free press?

  • Dominic

Lets call chuck Todd a so called newsman.

      Was thinking the same thing!

Pretty much the only people watching MSNBC are the die hard Progs who would give their life just for one more chance to sniff Olby’s underwear.

    As Chuck Todd Projects—

Actually, let’s cut him some slack: it might not be him projecting his personality on the drafters of the legislation – instead he might only be running under the assumption that, since he continually redefines terms to advance his agenda, everyone does.

I prefer “Right to Work (For Less)”

    • TomJB

I prefer “Right to Work (for what I negotiate with my employer, and not what some union boss who I have not chosen to represent me but still takes my money against my will says I am worth.)”

    • PennyRobinsonFanClub

How about “Right To Work At All”? No, you’d PREFER a few hundred people were out of work and on the dole before jeopardizing the dozen padded jobs for your union slugs.

Remind me to tell you sometime how the unions sank the US Merchant Marine in a way the Germans never dreamed of in WW2.

  • SpinMeNot

You are free to have any opinion you want as long as you are the member of a left leaning union and are yourself a progressive.

    Hail Ming!

    • Jay Stevens

      You mean “so-called progressive”.

      • SpinMeNot

Indeed, I stand corrected. Thank you, sir.

  • TomJB

The use of “so-called” is becoming as lazy to the media as “alleged.” Not only criminals but now victims are “alleged,” as if until a conviction, the victim wasn’t really shot/stabbed/raped/whatever. Anything that has a name is now “so-called” rather than the original meaning of bringing doubt into the situation. Then again, this is Chuck Todd…
