It seems to have at last dawned on Justin Bieber that he could have worn something a little classier to accept his Diamond Jubilee Medal from Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper yesterday.

Thumbs up, eh? Bieber is one of 60,000 people to receive the award, which was created to honor “significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.”

Earlier today, Bieber shared his thoughts on cereal.

The tweet might not be his most significant contribution to Canadian culture, but there’s no denying his influence. More than 56,000 people retweeted it.

56k RTs? We on the right need a Justin Bieber in our culture war!

  • Steve_J

That is a picture of cluelessness.

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

I think he’s a cute kid and has a lot of nerve. Not the first Canadian to come here for the American Dream. If he want’s to compete in the market, then I say go for it! As far as the overalls, I have 5 kids…..they are a little clueless about fashion too.

    • GaryTheBrave

William Shatner, Alex Trebek, Michael J. Fox are just some of the Canuck émigrés that found fame and fortune in the USA. How would Justin Bieber rate among them at their pinnacle of success?

Also Paul Anka Canadas first teen idol

        Mary Pickford, Dan Ackroyd,

I’m willing to be that your kids, clueless about fashion they may be, don’t have an agent, manager, publicist and assistants to choose their clothes and dress them.

He could have at least turned the ball cap around or taken it off.

      • Teresa Davis McCormick

your right Phil. Maybe it’s time for a new manager.

  • Dan Thorpe

where was someone telling him to look respectable for a PM? I don’t care for his music but I don’t beget his success

    Gordon Pinsent’s take on Beiber

  • Maria

Congratulations? I like cereal too? He’s Canadian? I thought his last name was Beaver until this year.

    • BlueGood

LMAO… I also thought it was “JUST IN BEAVER”….which at the time, I thought it’s a kewl Stage Name way to state you’re STRAIGHT!

      • Maria

    • Stephanie Warren

Beiber is German for Beaver so you’re right.

  • Brian Mouland

Think it would have been more of a story if PM Harper had wore coveralls and his ballcap backwards

How big of a deal is the Diamond Jubilee Medal?

Well, if real estate agent and some time actor Michael Hampton (hamybear)* were Canadian, he would have earned it by now. His performance in “Man Boobs” alone would have been enough.

(* whose motto is: “one in a million, and better than most.” I’m not kidding)

When I was young, the top teen idols were Leif Garrett and Andy Gibb. Wonder what ever happened to them…

  • Back 4 More

Estella Warren is still officially the best thing to ever come out of Canada.

  • Mapache

Cereal is good? I am speechless. By the way Mr. Bieber, you are not 13 anymore. Dress like an adult.

I pinefor the days before Obama, when Canada wasn’t lead by a shrewd pro-free-markets, pro-guns anti-nonsense conservative(Canada, CANADA has figured it out!!! WHy not us!?!), and we could make fun of them. Now Harper has the economy up there rolling, and we have 4 more years of Bumbling Barry the closet socialist to look forward too. So, no Canadian jokes for 4 years, which includes the biebs. . Something else Obama has taken from us. B
