After seeing way more of him on Twitter than we wanted to, it appears we haven’t seen the last of Anthony Weiner. The former New York Congressman (time to update that Twitter profile, by the way) has resurfaced on the social networking site after more than a year to address the devastation left by Superstorm Sandy.

Perhaps treading very carefully as he wades back into tweeting, Weiner posted only a link to a YouTube video, “Rockaway Needs Us,” without further comment. Followers had plenty to say, though.
@RepWeiner NYC needs you. Answer the call

Uncle Donald Trump does not approve of you minors following Weiner and urges you to block him immediately.
Pervert alert. @RepWeiner is back on twitter. All girls under the age of 18, block him immediately.

There were some rumblings this summer about Weiner planning a run for New York City mayor. Does national sympathy for the plight of New York and New Jersey give Weiner an opportunity to reinsert himself into public discourse?
@RepWeiner Please run for office in the next cycle. We need your voice!
