You read that correctly. A man who goes by “will.i.am” is DJing for the president’s campaign appearance at Ohio State University, and introduced the president with a remix of the Sesame Street theme.

The crowd either went wild, was confused or had “some reaction,” depending on the media outlet.

Conservatives online had “some reaction” as well.

Even Obama fans are getting a little tired of the Big Bird meme.

The Obama campaign apparently wasn’t listening to Sesame Workshop either, who earlier asked the campaign to take down its pitiful ad featuring Big Bird, saying that as “a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization” it does not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. Will.i.am is such a huge fan of Sesame Street, though, he’s ignoring their request.

Can someone please tell us how to get away from Sesame Street? Please?

Doesn’t matter. William’s music is shite-flavored finger sandwiches served at DNC dinners.

I have to believe that there are at least some Dems who are thoroughly embarrassed by all this Big Bird nonsense.
    I just have to.

Maybe Big Bird should be running for president. He’s easily twice as smart as Obama, he can do math.

This total meltdown is starting to become fun to watch. It’s been a week since the debate and they are still trying to capitalize on Big Bird. It think this might be the straw that breaks the indecision of the undecideds.

    • SineWaveII

I know. For some reason the Obama campaign for the last couple weeks has made me think of the last scene from “Duel”. Where the Peterbilt Tanker truck goes over the cliff in slow motion.

Big Bird is smarter then Biden maybe it will help them win LOL

I’m an OSU alum. I have a bunch of friends that still attend, and most of them expressed annoyance today at the inconvenience his visit brought them. (His concert was right in the middle of the center of campus, blocking nearly every student’s path to class).

Of course, a few students posted statuses demanding that everyone show respect to the POTUS. My response? “Sure- he deserves as much respect as the left gave Bush!”

      AMEN!

All right-thinking people realize that the best music from Sesame Street wasn’t the theme, or even in the show, but the old “funky chimes” music from the end credits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nUhDOqyDgo

and seriously right thinking people remember that Sesame Street was cool for 15 minutes when they were really little kids. The first sign of growing up is when you moved on to “The Electric Company” and left Sesame Street behind forever. Now that was cool. After that it was on to “Mr Wizard” now THAT was educational programming.

I like Kid Rock’s song “Born Free”. More adult than sesame street but consider the source at an Obama rally.

    • Aestro

Kid Rock and will.i.am both suck. At least we’re not being subjected to convicted pedophile Gary Glitter on the campaign trail anymore.
