Why so shocked, Samuel L. Jackson? Why yes, Stacey Dash did endorse Mitt Romney — two days ago. Might we suggest you follow your own advice and wake the, um, fudge up? Dash’s endorsement stirred up quite a bit of hate on Twitter, but since you missed it, your followers will be happy to get you caught up.

Barack Obama was quick to call Sandra Fluke after she had been called a “slut,” but the president apparently couldn’t find his ObamaPhone to console Dash after the actress was hit with a torrent of abusive tweets. Paul Ryan made the time to contact Dash, though, and thank her for her support.

Update: Dash wishes Ryan good luck in his debate with Vice President Joe Biden later this week:

So Mr Jackson has the freedom to choose but would deny that right to others. How progressive. How liberal.

Would you be so kind as to point out where SLJ denied anything to anyone? Stacey Dash is entitled to her choice and the rest of us are entitled to agree with her…..OR NOT.

It’s an intimidation tactic. What’s the reason for his outrage?

Why is she crazy then? Anyone who voted for him in 08 because he is half black is crazy. Anyone who would vote for him AGAIN despite his failure is crazy? You hired him, he failed, fire him.

Oh. I see. If you can find some technicality by way of the Webster’s dictionary, then it never happened?? Just checking. This is the m.o. of the left when anyone black or in Hollywood (in Stacey Dash’s case-both) voices an opinion contrary to what the left insists that they should think and do. As someone else, she was denied the common courtesy of respecting her opinion. Given SLJ’s ardent support for all that is Obama, it’s a continuation of his disrespect.

It would depend on the comment. From what I’ve seen, some were over the line….others were not. Respect is not an entitlement(you guys hate those things anyway, right?), but it is a two way street and it certainly seems to be in short supply around here for those who do not share your groupthink.

          • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

I cannot think anything MORE racist than the suggestion that someone’s political choices should be determined by the color of his or her skin. Jackson;s implication’s here are every bit as racist as anything ever expressed by a Ku Klux Klansman — such as the late Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV).

No, we like respect and give it to those who show it first. We are much more respectful than those of your ilk (none of your ilk are respectful on here including you). She deserves respect. Period. I bet if I went on a Liberal page I’d be disrespected for my views worse than anyone’s been “disrespected” here for not sharing the “groupthink”. Chew on that for a bit.

I have lost friends that I have known for years, I have been called an uncle tom,
a house negro, an oreo cookie and the N-word.

I am told that I hate myself and that I have a deep desire to be white.
I receive hate mail, insults and death threats.

All of this because I believe in life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness,
smaller government, lower taxes and I believe in preserving the constitution.

Why did so many black and white people die to give me the right to vote,
if I am to be publicly shamed for doing so?

If this is what we as black conservatives must endure, then let it be so.

Those weren’t your friends. As with most liberals, the names they called you directly apply to themselves. They are in slavery to the left, and even enforce its rules on each other. Let a free-thinking man rise up, such as you, and they do their master’s bidding by hunting you down and dragging you back to the plantation.
It’s very sad. What can be done to free black Americans from their self-imposed ideological slavery?

        • https://twitter.com/Webnetcity webnetcity

Unfortunately Paul, as much as I hate to admit it, I believe a large majority of black Americans are beyond reach.

Blacks have been physically and mentally abused by democrats for so long, that the same spirit of blind hatred that guided the klan, has now been transferred to the black community. It’s like a kidnap victim who has been held so long that after awhile they start to sympathize with and even defend their captors.

Democrats are very effective slave masters, they’ve had hundreds of years of practice, they know exactly how to keep us black folks in line. They keep us in a constant state of fear and keep us angry at republicans in order to control us.

Our biggest problem is our pride, many in the black community have rejected the truth for so long, that we would rather live a lie than admit we are wrong. Blaming others is much less painful than facing reality.

IMHO, the only hope we have to free the few that can be saved, is the same thing that saved me. Someone prayed for me and simply told me the truth, then backed it up with God’s word, because what you are witnessing in the black community is nothing short of demonic.

          • PHXITGuy

You are contradicting yourself. My sister is a strict pro-life republican, half of my family voted for Bush, half voted for Kerry. You start your response talking about how you were treated by people who have a different opinion than yours and then proceed to do the same to people (demagogue and name call) who have a different opinion than you.
I have friends who are black republicans and HATE Obama. It just gives me something to argue with them about.

            Thanks for the reply,
I’m sorry, I missed the part in my post where I singled out you and your family and called you demonic slaves, I don’t even know you.

Unlike yourself, I have no need to search through comments
I disagree with, until I find what I believe to be a contradiction,
and then attempt to defend my family and my position in life.

I am so comfortable and confident with who I am, that no
phantom internet user could ever come along and offend me
or define me with their comments.

I’m happy for you and your family, like the song says…
“It’s yo thang… do what cha wanna do…”

If you somehow interpreted my comments as a personal assault on you and your loved ones, I don’t know what to tell you. I call it like I see it.

If you take issue with what I believe to be evil,
then that sounds like a personal problem to me.

Not sure why you would disrespect my opinion while giving me yours. Perhaps you should pick your responses better.

          • PHXITGuy

“nothing short of demonic.” Your quote. Did not go searching through comments. One of my black republican friends sent me this article.
I don’t take what you said as evil just hypocrital. You resort to name calling the same way you point out those (of which you are no longer since you are an “ex-) slave of the democratic plantation”, “nothing short of demonic” people who do not agree with your views. Did not disrect your view – just disagreed with it.
Not a phantom, just one person with one opinion that disagrees with your generalization. Not trying to define you but adding perspective.

          • https://twitter.com/Webnetcity webnetcity

            Great…
You see my comments as name calling and hypocritical, I see yours as a desperate attempt to marginalize my opinion and defend the indefensible. so now we’re even. :)

You saw the words “demonic” and “slave” and applied them to yourself and others, not me. But if the shoe fits…
My beef is not with people, but with a mentality rooted in spiritual matters that uses skin color to divide people.

At this point, if I have to explain that to you,
then I will keep the rest of my response simple.

Your attempt to add your unique perspective to my views as a 48 year old black man, who grew up in the ghetto and experienced evil and hate up close, is not only insulting, but also arrogant to say the least.

But I’m quite use to it…

Those who disagree with my views have been trying to tell me who I am and define my words for years. You’re not the first and you won’t be the last, so save your breath.

I’m not going to change your mind and you’re not going to change mine, so we will just have to agree to disagree.

I wish you all the best

          • PHXITGuy

I am 46. Grew up in Ohio and visited my grandparents in Alabama every Summer. Luckily, I never grew up in the ‘the ghetto’ but saw real evil and hate up close and personal. The klan would hold rallys on my grandmother’s street.
I no longer live in Ohio because of the DWB problem there(don’t get bitter, do better). In fact the year after I left is when we the city (Cincinnati) had the race riots.
I think we can agree to disagree.
I wish you well and hope you find a good group of like minded people.

You might be a thoughtful principled conservative.

From the outside, it does appear that conservatives are selfish and that that is their primary “value” if you will. Preserving the status quo IS selfish when there is such disparity between the have and the have nots.

When things got really bad this way, the French poor solved this problem with the guillotine. Some of us would rather avoid that approach.

        • Al Pat

A selfish person would want others under their control. Nothing makes a person a slave more than being unable to control their life.

Free people make their own choices, accept their own results, and receive the benefits of their own work. A slave lives his life at the whim of his master, who decides what the slave receives in life.

Which sounds like conservatives thought to you? Depending on the government to decide what I get, or making those choices on my own (and possibly failing)?

        • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

I agree — wanting to preserve a status quo of a permanent underclass, beholden to the government for their daily bread in exchange for a vote, and inculcated virtually from birth with the mantra that Republicans want to put you back in the fields so if you want to be one of us you must always vote Democrat — yes, that is selfish, racist, oppressive, and abusive.

@webnetcity….I am in the same boat…unfortunately most people to include black folks do know the dual history of the democrat part. At one time the KKK was a branch of that party. In fact, they didn’t change until the late 60s early 70s. Funny how all of my grandparents would have rather died then be associated with the Dems. Check out the black codes of the reconstruction period 1866-1877. Then look at the majority black cities and tell me what’s changed.

        • PHXITGuy

Fortunately we do know history because we lived it. We saw dems change to dixicrats and finally to reps after civil rights legislation passed (See Strom Thurmond for illustration changed from a dem to a rep in 1964 – guess what passed in 1964?). Because before civil rights there was a chance that your parents would die for the smallest of reasons. What changed were States Rights democrats changed into republicans after segregation and civil rights bills were passed by a democratic president.

          • Marc Solomon

Baloney. With one or two exceptions (thurmond serves as your ONLY example, so don’t try to pass off that one example as many), all dixiecrats returned to the democratic party. And the 1964 civil rights bill would have never passed congress without the support of congressional and senate republicans who voted in favor of it in larger percentages than the democrats even though the dems had the majority in both houses. Even LBJ admitted it never would have passed without republican votes and thanked the republicans. Oh, and thurmond switched parties (September 64) AFTER the bills passage (july 64). Not before. If thurmond was such a bigot, why did he join the party that fought so hard for and voted in larger percentages than the dem party for the civil rights act of 64?

          • PHXITGuy

Johnson told an aide, “We have lost the South for a generation”, anticipating a coming backlash from Southern whites against Johnson’s Democratic Party.
A quote from Strom Thurmond: “all the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, into our schools, our churches and our places of recreation and amusement.”
            More history on Strom Thurmond:
In opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957, he conducted the longest filibuster ever by a lone senator, at 24 hours and 18 minutes in length, nonstop

          • Marc Solomon

Johnson turned out to be wrong as the democrats retained their hold on the south for another 30 years. When the south did finally turn republican, it was mainly due to economic and social factors. Not racism. When thurmond made that filibuster and uttered that quote, one must remember he was still a democrat at the time. When he switched over to the republicans, he was told to leave the racist garbage behind.

Yet, you call other people slaves because they have a different opinion than you?
Both of my grandfathers were coal miners – they made sure none of their children ever worked in the mines. My father was a night manager at the post office, he made sure none of his children ever had to work at the post office.
They were real Americans and endured real hardships in the Jim Crow south (Carbon Hill, Alabama and Birmingham, Alabama respectively). Name calling – really? That is your hardship? My father come back from the Korean war to Birmingham, Alabama in 1953. He fought for his country but it would mean his life if walked the wrong way, looked the wrong person in the eye or spoke to the wrong person. He did not get bitter, he got better. Moved his family to Ohio and made sure education was our top priority.
My family votes our best interest. For some that is republican for others that is democrat. We determine our destiny not outside forces and we don’t need to stoop to calling other people names because they don’t agree with us.
Don’t be bitter, get better. If you can not persuade, then make your points and move on. Calling names because someone does not agree with you, just makes you small.

        • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

Well, congratulations to you then. What excuse do you make for the fact that Democrats constantly taunt Republicans with, that over 90% of black folk will unswervingly vote for the Democrat — REGARDLESS of color?

          • PHXITGuy

When has any republican asked for support from black voters? President Bush refused to got the NCAAP meeting until his last year in office. Gov Romney went to the NCAAP meeting expecting to get booed and gave one of the most insulting speeches. Did he show up at the opening of the MLK monument? Did he speak at the Black Chamber of Commerce, the Urban League, the Black Family reunion or a thousand other events as part of an outreach beyond his immediate circle? As Webnetcity and a large number of people in my family illustrate, there are votes to be won – if you are willing to work for them. But if you don’t even bother to ask, how can you complain about the results. Mike Huckabee recevied 48% of the black vote in his state when he ran for Gov. What was he doing right that other republicans seem to be doing wrong?

          • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

Because Republicans generally avoid identity politics to begin with, and when they do try, they are accused of cynically pandering. I’ve noted elsewhere here today the left’ s mastery of playing Heads I win / tails you lose. You note yourself tbat Romney repeated the same message to tbe NAACP as he had repsated elsewhere, sir, that is called “honesty.” It is also called respecting your audience by refusing to pander and treating them like intelligent adults. I am far more worried and even frightened by those racists wh insist that the color of your skin or mine defines who we are, even down to whom we vote for, as the courageous Miss Dash is learning. As for the whole “Dixicrat” business, I would encourage you to read very carefully the following, as well as explore the rest of this sitee…. http://www.black-and-right.com/2010/03/19/the-dixiecrat-myth/

          • Southern by birth

This article is so true. I grew up in the South and am nearly 50 years old. In the 70’s i saw the discrimination that was going on everywhere. Guess what? The people who were discriminating were Democrats. There were no Republicans in the South to speak of. All of my relatives were Democrats and they voted that way for 2 reasons. First, they saw Democrats as being for the poor man, and second, because the Democrats knew how to keep blacks (not the word they used) in their place. They were not Republicans because they were seen as being for the rich and the blacks. When the Democrats realized that they could no longer keep blacks from voting and that they would probably vote Republican and kick the Klan supported Democrat politicians out they suddenly got behind the Great Society programs. Democrats did not support blacks back then to make their lives better but rather to get their votes. After all, if anyone knows how to keep blacks in their place, it is the Democrats.

          • PHXITGuy

But he did not give the same speech to other audiences. It was a cynical speech meant to get a specific reaction which he then bragged about in his Montana fundraiser.
Please tell me any other time Gov Romney used the following line:
“I submit to you this: if you want a president who will make things better in the African American community, you are looking at him.”
It got just the reaction he wanted.
The times he did talk about common ideas he recieved applause and even a standing ovation. Since then, where has he been?
            From the website you referenced:
The idea that “the Dixiecrats joined the Republicans” is not quite true, as you note. But because of Strom Thurmond it is accepted as a fact. What happened is that the **next** generation (post 1965) of white southern politicians — Newt, Trent Lott, Ashcroft, Cochran, Alexander, etc — joined the GOP.
So it was really a passing of the torch as the old segregationists retired and were replaced by new young GOP guys.
Richard Nixon was also a proponent of Civil Rights
            – (back to me) NIxon was also the architectt of the Southern strategy.
In American politics, the Southern strategy refers to the Republican Party strategy of gaining political support or winning elections in the Southern section of the country by implicitly appealing to racism against African Americans

Again, thanks for your courage. If nothing else, this kind of experience helps put to rest another stereotype about black folks “sticking together.” Step off the party line and you’re a goner.

I can’t tell you how mad it made us for the NAACP and Demonrats to call him “house nigger” and Uncle Tom just name a few! No wonder he just quit. Since Jackson is both black and a real bootlicker for the guy in the power, he’s by definition an Uncle Tom.

  • Love of Country

Hey Samuel L [email protected] …… is Stacey Dash crazy because 9x out of 10, when liberals have the opportunity to run cities with lots of black folk like Compton, Detroit and Chicago from top to bottom for decades on end that there is always significant improvement in terms of lower rates of homicides, dropouts, unemployment and fatherlessness?

Because it sounds like you think things always get better for black people only if and when liberals finally get to run things unfettered in terms of fiscal and social policies but the reality is they always get much, much, much worse. Who’s the idiot now, [email protected]? God forbid she wants to leave your racism, bitterness, crime, squalor and failed policies behind.

Samuel L. Jackson is just showing how bigoted and hateful he is. If he thinks conservatives, even other actors should keep their mouth shut, then he should go live in Russia or China and let them support his foul mouth and stupidity. I quit watching anything he was in and will continue to as long as he lives. I don’t support movies with foul mouthed, bigoted, hatemongers like him.

Gee, Bonita….I seem to recall a book written by Laura Ingraham a few years back titled “Shut Up & Sing, something something blah blah blah” wherein she postulated that entertainers should just entertain and keep their political views to themselves. Surely, you aren’t so hypocritical as to believe that only entertainers you disagree with should be subject to such self censorship.
Oh, and if foul mouthed stupidity offends you, you might want to have a word or two in private with your friend Master Reynolds. 😉

Samuel L. Jackson is another one of these ivory tower racists that have caused me to stop watching the Science Channel and any Hollywood project that he and his ilk might be connected with.

I haven’t gone to the movies for years because I refuse to support any of the far left lunatic fringe in Hollywood that espouse their divisive & delusional rhetoric to those unable to distinguish fact from fiction.

The Obama regime has divided this country on so many levels, but the sad thing is that this regime has turned back the progress of race relations by 50 years… and they’re apparently proud to utilize the divide and conquer strategy employed throughout history to bring down nations either by civil unrest or war.

WTF has happened to the America that was once called the United States of America.

This is such a critical time in our nation’s history, and I hope to God the intelligent people of America can oust this corrupt and divisive regime come November 6th.

    • alumin

Bravo RIch! I couldn’t agree more – my family refuses to support them as well. The Obama regime absolutely has had the most divisive force this country has seen in a long time. Very well said!

I posted on FB that Jackson was a hypocrite and a racist “man” of hate. FB blocked the post. Doesn’t make sense that Jackson is one of the rich Obama is going after and none the less only by virtue of skin color is the basis of Jacksons support of Obama. Problem is that Jackson is rich enough as to not be affected by the economy, but none the less leads the common black man astray in his racist schemes to keep the black man imprisioned and in bondage of the democratic government plantation. Do blacks want to keep signing “I Owe My Soul To The Company (Gov) Store???!!!

“Empirical evidence of the blatant hatred, racism and intolerance you see on the Left particularly in contrast to the fabulous saints you see on the Right!”?

Yep – no stereotyping there. How about you take a look at the mound of “empirical evidence” within this entire string of comments; especially yours @alldemsrcommies:disqus. I could take a page out of your book and say that the majority of you Republicans are a a bunch of whiny, bigoted chumps waiting to jump on anyone with an opinion different than your own.

However, unlike you, I grasp that this is just political heckling at its best, and some idiots can’t help themselves – irrespective of their chosen party.

      • Love of Country

Oh my ….. one man’s facts and figures (me) are just another dummy’s stereotypes (you, lol) …. LMAO!

        • Thomas Kotkowski

Matt Dimock, please enlighten those of us that do not see this hate coming from the Republican party. Lead us to some examples like the racist and ignorant tweets above. We will be waiting to see what you can bring to the table. James Carville has explained the Democrat party and it’s voters. Please read his comments.

“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.

          The
Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do
is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an
operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is
make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle
prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.

Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality. What
amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers
and convince them that they should support social programs that were
the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear
here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.

          The
voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic
operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats
that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.

          Truth is
relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth. If
you’re smart enough, truth is what you make the voter think it is.
That’s why I’m a Democrat. I can make the Democratic voters think
          whatever I want them to.”

          James Carville

Samuel Jackson was clearly using Carville’s strategy “to use the ole cattle
prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.” Stacey has bolted the herd and Samuel is going to try to shame her into coming back like a good liberal.

          • TomJB

I think it has to do with big, big money – contracts of Hollywood “stars”. They will say anything so that they don’t end up ruined, with nothing.
What I find such a shame, is that millions, + several generations, fell for these entertainers, and supported them worldwide. We shouldn’t have ever become so complacent and let things get this out of control.. We let them entertain us into oblivion, made them rich beyond their wildest dreams, by going to see their movies, hear their music, now they’re turning on us.

Jackson just lost a fan. I won’t see new movies he puts out in the future.

    Samuel Jackson = racist…

Nope. Don’t you know only white people are allowed to be racists? It’s just another way whites exclude people of color.

Had she endorsed Obama, I would not have been surprised because she is an actor in Hollywood. But, I would have also thought that it was her right as a citizen to vote as she sees fit. Apparently, that notion is “cray”.

Why did she have to go on TV to “defend” her decision to support Romney? Why must anyone “defend” their free right to decide for themselves? Let’s help her out. Remember how the Left destroyed Joe the Plumber in 2008?? Let’s protect Stacey.

Incredible, a black person expressed an opinion different than what’s dictated by the left!!!
Clearly she’s insane. Doesn’t she know she’s not allowed to do that?
I find it amazing that the majority of black people have made themselves slaves to the left, such that they are willing to threaten and abuse other black people who express opinions not representative of the left. Talk about being “uncle toms”!

SLJ proclaims he voted for 0bama because he was black, and that he will do so again regardless of any other consideration.
Besides his overt racism, Mr. Jackson fails to recognize that 0bama is also white. Is it possible to cast half a vote? Such is the absurdity of the racist.

Samuel Jackson is a Bully. Thank God Black people that have their own opinions & brains are supporting Stacy Dash. This is an embarrassment for anyone who exercises their right to vote & have an opinion.

    I’m famous!

That aside, it’s a sad time for America when having a different political opinion automatically creates hate and vitriol from a large group of people. It’s a sad time when we let celebrities tell us what’s appropriate in politics.

Samuel L. Jackson should wake the f**k up.

  • Owen007

Moments like this make me want to watch “Deep Blue Sea.” Has truly the best Jackson moment ever… where he gets ripped apart by a shark after making a so-called grand speech.

This just reinforces my disdain for those on the left that call others racist, all the while demonstrating themselves to be the epitome of the term. I suppose they reject the idea that any minority should vote for a white candidate, which leads to the logical conclusion that no white voter should support Mr. Obama … right?

slavery went out along time ago..you are only a slave to ones self..we live in a land of opportunity and free speech..when these things are taken from us we will be slaves to something else…in the mean time pick a new battle..this subject is worn out and needs to evolve into a positive

Samuel Jackson I was a big fan of yours until you acted like gutter trash because Ms. Stacy Dash has the right to choose who is she going to support in this 2012 Election. You see sammy we the people have a right to choose to vote to bring back this country for the people.Ms. Dash has every right to choose the person who will lead this great nation of ours back in to prosperity and the pursuit of happiness. Sammy the problem with you that since you are glorified in the liberal hollywood la-la land you don’t see what is going on with the entire country. You Sir are out of touch with the problems today with our youth and the people who own small business and the people who gave up looking for work. 14.4 percent black americans are out of work 23 million Americans are unemployed 49 million people on food stamps 50 percent American youths including blacks are unemployed. The college kids who voted this president in 2008 and they have been graduating from the class of 2009,2010,2011,2012 are not going to find jobs well let me phrase that fast food jobs and porter jobs or doorman jobs.So let me leave you with this sammy we the american people are finally waking the Fu*k up because this socialism does not work in this country. Thank you Ms. Stacy Dash for thinking outside the box that is wrong with people today they have no mind of their own.Oh BTW sammy speak like a gentlemen not like gutter trash it turns people off.

Coming from the man who said he voted for Obama because he was black. His political opinion is about as relevant as him.

I’ll always think of SLJ as being like that movie character he played, the insanely racist cop that savaged and tried to murder his inter-racially married neighbors.
    Hate. Filled. Racist.
    Skin obsessed.
    Liberal.
