New Yorker magazine has unveiled next week’s cover, which illustrates what so many thought while watching Wednesday night’s presidential debate.

Genius? Wait, didn’t the media tell us for weeks after the Republican National Convention that Clint Eastwood’s appearance was an unmitigated disaster?

If the cover makes them money – and it will – no one should lose their job. A publication’s first goal is to make money. This cover is gonna be a hit.

The progs attacked Eastwood saying he was “senile” etc but forgot that he spent his life creating iconic images & cultural narratives.

HANK, WHEN TALENT AND BRILLIANCE ARE CONFUSED WITH SENILITY, REST ASSURED THAT THE COMMENTARY IS A LEAK OF A LIBERAL’S BRAIN CELLS DRIPPING FROM HIS/HER NOSE.

      • http://www.cosmicgirl.net/ Cosmic Girl

This is why liberals live in an alternate reality: what they call senile (Eastwood) is brilliant and what they call brilliant (Obama) is senile.

Go see the new Eastwood film, Trouble With The Curve. Very enjoyable movie, and watch for the very brief scene where his daughter in the film, frustrated with their relationship, faces an “empty chair.”

    Senile? Spontaneous? No way!

Too bad the pages between the covers is still filled with liberal dribble.

    • Junie3

Yeah but the front page will make them a fortune and hopefully encourage more just like it. I’m going to buy cott this one.

    • $21367552

Probably haven’t read an issue in your life. Plus you meant drivel not dribble, sweetie.

      • Jedd McHead

Actually, a relative used to give me subscription for Christmas for years — I’ve read hundreds of issues. But, please, don’t let that fact keep you from leaping to unfounded conclusions — I’m guessing you do that on a regular basis, “sweetie”.
And, yes, I incorrectly wrote “dribble” instead of “drivel”, as has been pointed out by Garth.

    • Garth Haycock

I agree about the content of the New Yorker, but just an FYI – the word is drivel. :>)

Did they credit Eastwood with the empty chair?

  • $7421226

at some point obama had to realize he is going down in AMERICAN History as the worst president, biggest failure, most despised, and not just an empty suit… he’s ALREADY BEEN immortalized as an EMPTY CHAIR.

    • $7421226

we have no doubt not only did obama never know who Eastood was or care to go see his films, but he sure hates him now– 100% AMERICAN Eastwood has immortalized obama’s failures FOREVER… as the EMPTY CHAIR. it is hilarious, God bless the 100% AMERICAN Legend, Clint Eastwood.

    • Garth Haycock

I disagree. Obama is arrogant enough to think himself the only competent POTUS in this great nation’s history. He believes himself to be infallible.

  • Junie3

Buy one, encourage more of this.

  • tjp77

To be fair, Bill Maher of all people had the good sense to call Eastwood’s empty chair performance brilliant.

    • TitzyFritzensimmons

Maher just suggested Obama took his million dollar donation and spent it on weed!

YEAH, JACK– MOST TIMES, BUT IF YOUR DEBATING, BREVITY IS THE SOUL OF IGNORANCE AND INCOMPETENCE.

  • Patriot Bad Ass

I just have one comment on the debate” Obama sure did make my day”.

A POLITICIAN “PREPARED” FOR AN HOUR AND HALF DEBATE WITHOUT NOTES IS AN IMBECILE. “CHEAT SHEETS” ARE COVERT ANSWERS ON ACADEMIC TESTS TO QUESTIONS ASSUMED TO BE TEST MATERIAL. NOTES ARE FOR DEBATES, DISSERTATIONS AND GENERAL SPEECH PREPAREDNESS FOR SUPERIOR SPEAKERS.

JOURNALISTS WHO ARE NOT AWARE OF THE DISTINCTION SHOULD JOURNALIZE
NO MORE UNTIL AIDED BY, MINIMALLY, A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.

  • Paul C.

The MSM couldn’t spin the debate till after now we are up to our neck in spin

  • TundraThunder

Shouldn’t the title say ‘New Yorker cover depicts Romney “Eastwooding” Obama at debate podium’?

    • nc

      Good catch.

  • Trev

I wonder how many words it would take to nullify this pictures potency? The redeeming picture of Eastwood and Romney as well as the disaster of Obama. Wow.

  • michael s

i’m not surprised a outlet of the white media in this case new yorker would attack Pres Obama. they did it in 2008 with their so called satirical terrorist cover of him and pre First Lady Obama. yet they only had the mccains’ cover on their website. the new yorker is liberal but they still practice racism.
