Sarah Palin this afternoon directed her 800,000 Twitter followers to a blog post by daughter Bristol on the subject of hate, and as usual, it didn’t take long for hate to show itself.

Bristol Palin’s post to Patheos recounts her experience meeting the media at the Television Critics Association panel, where Palin was promoting the next season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Asked if she would mind dancing with a gay partner, Palin replied, “Of course.”

But the media can’t seem to figure this out. In their simplistic minds, the fact that I’m a Christian, that I believe in God’s plan for marriage, means that I must hate gays and must hate to even be in their presence. Well, they were right about one thing: there was hate in that media room, but the hate was theirs, not mine.

God’s plan for marriage? That sure sounds like hate speech!

Anything else hateful to add, Bristol?

  • Love of Country

Trolls on the Left call anyone and everyone a hater who disagrees with them about anything …. and like ZZ Top once said ….. what’s up with that?

    • TonyMontana3

You’re the ones who call anyone a hater who disagress with you about anything.

  • TonyMontana3

Bristol is so desperate for attention. Appearing in these reality shows is the only thing she has. She’s even willing to exploit her own kid to get some attention.
I guess she just wants to be a no-talent celebrity like Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton.

    • http://twitter.com/trevorproblems Trevor A

Do you think that about everyone on tv? Because im pretty sure they invited her to boost their own ratings

      • cheeriogirl

Apparently it didn’t work, since hardly anyone is watching Bristol’s show. Her new time slot bears this out.

        • Shelby is a Patriot

Trevor was referring to DWTS. Obviously.

      • TonyMontana3

I think that about every reality show star. They dont have any real talent so…
I’m pretty sure Bristol’s mom paid DWTS a lot of money to get Bristol in the show.

And another leftist hater putting in his 2 rubles. It must be tough to live with so much hate and anger.

      • TonyMontana3

        Yaaaaaaaaaawn….
Is that all you’ve got? Just call any critic “a hater”? Sad.

        • J. Cox

Your criticism is what exactly? Please refer to any post that has any actual factual information. All you have done is ..deflect,demonize,or call people who don’t agree with you names. Now your on a “don’t call me a hater cuz I criticize”.The fact that all you can do is call people names like homophobe..nice make believe word btw…and bigot is more telling than any post you have made.

    • Chip

Isn’t there an episode of Dance Moms on that you are missing?

Kind of like you.. So desperate for attention, you have to troll a conservative site. Isn’t the huffington post missing one of their idiots?

You are also desperate for attention, I see. First Breitbart, and now Twitchy? Don’t you get tired of being owned by people with common sense and their heads on straight (i.e. conservatives)?

        “getting owned”?

“Narcissists have such an elevated sense of self-worth that they value themselves as inherently better than others. Yet, they have a fragile self-esteem and cannot handle criticism, and will often try to compensate for this inner fragility by belittling or disparaging others in an attempt to validate their own self-worth. It is this sadistic tendency that is characteristic of narcissism as opposed to other psychological conditions affecting level of self-worth.”
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissistic_personality_disorder

    • TonyMontana3

Exactly. Bristol Palin is a narcissist. She even had her own reality show about her life. And everytime someone criticizes her, that person must be “a hater”. She values herself better than others and cannot handle criticism.

      • The Monster

I wouldn’t go that far. She didn’t call me a hater; she just didn’t let my comment past moderation, and apparently blocked me from any further comments at patheos, at least on her blog.

I don’t think she liked my assessment of how she’s treating her boyfriend one bit. But I’ve seen others say worse.

      • http://twitter.com/AudreySanford Audrey Sanford

I wouldn’t say being called a slut, whore, and trash criticism…I would call it downright ignorant and mean. She handles even this “criticism”(immature name-calling) quite well if you ask me!

Hurray for snowbilly knocked-up unwed teen mothers and their Godly abstinence-only campaigns! Cheers to blaming your pregnancy on being too shitfaced on hunch punch to say no to your drop-out baby daddy! Kudos for training your toddler to drop F-bombs on national television! At last, America has its royal family!

    • Linda White Besink

      YOU have ISSUES.

      • J. Cox

He is just a troll, nothing but hate and projecting his issues onto others, likes to try to get a rise out of people. We just need to keep him in our prayers, hope he sees the truth someday.Otherwise, just ignore him and his comments,he will never have worthwhile words.

        • JoeMyGodNYC

Sees the truth? What, precisely, is untrue about I said? Bristol Palin IS an unwed, uneducated, teen mother who failed the very abstinence program promoted by her mother. Bristol Palin DID later claim she got pregnant because she was too drunk to say no to her high-school dropout boyfriend.; Her three year old son DID drop that F-bomb on national TV. It appears the person who needs to see the truth is YOU.

          • Shelby is a Patriot

Pfft. I’ve seen 1st graders say much worse than the F- bomb (seriously, parents, watch your kids, my generation, and the generation behind me, needs some orbit gum or something). So what if she’s unwed? Do you have something against single moms? Hmm? Clearly, she is not the uneducated one here. Which by the way, being a young person myself, I can tell you that education means nothing these days. Bristol is ten-times smarter than most of the kids I go to school with and I don’t even know her.
You know what the best part of your post was, though? Your tolerance and non-hate spewing (sarcasm, obviously). And the part where you called pretty much every unwed, knocked up teen a snowbilly (cleverness isn’t your thing, I see), which makes you a bigot.
            Thanks for playing! =D

Joe… the difference is in recognizing something as a “mistake in sin” and taking responsibility of the consequences, like Bristol did…. verses making a mistake and “wallowing in the sin”… and then further, demanding that everyone else accept that sinful wallow as an acceptable life style. Bristol did not make her mistake a “life style” and then force us to either accept it or get bullied with hate speech and threats if we don’t…. like the radical left does.

    • melle1228

  • Nikechic619

These people have no idea what the Christian Gospel is. They love bringing up stoning but won’t dare open their mouths about Muslims.

    • TonyMontana3

Christians love bringing up muslims but wont dare open their mouths about the violent side of the Bible.

      • http://www.aclockworkshuter.carbonmade.com Clara Bernier

I have a few questions for you, as well as statements.
Have you ever read the Koran? Are you aware that the Muslim faith claims to be the faith of peace? Have you read the Christian bible thoroughly?
If so, surely you are aware that God himself said that many evil acts will be committed by evil men, women, religious groups etc…. in his name, some of these perpetrators of violence have been of one Christian faith or another and some have been of the Muslim faith and every faith that exists, and even some acts of violence were perpetrated by those of no particular faith.
The violence depicted in the Bible is depicted therein for the purpose of conveying to the reader the facts of the time. It is to give us a more rounded understanding of the political, economic, and social landscape of the time in which the stories of the bible took place. The violence, furthermore, is not necessarily perpetrated by men of the Christian faith upon those of differing faiths. In fact Christianity, as we know it, didn’t even really exist then, at least not as a fully formed concept.
Furthermore, the Muslim faith in Biblical times was not so extremist as it is now. And if you want to speak of acts of violence perpetrated on innocent victims, what about the manner in which Muslim women are treated? There was a time in all of the Middle East in which belly dancing was an accepted practice by all followers of the Muslim faith, yet today in places like Afghanistan or Iraq a woman who is caught, even if it’s an accident, showing her face, let alone belly dancing can be executed for it.
Don’t talk to me of Christian “HATERS” and Biblical violence when right now, in this day and age, such heinous acts of violence are permitted to be perpetrated upon innocent women and girls of the Muslim faith!!
When American troops pulled out of parts of Iraq parents of children who dressed in Western clothing allowed their own “CHILDREN” to be murdered by extremist Muslims.
Go on “hating” your fellow Americans who are fighting for the freedom of those innocent victims everyday. And yes many of those American troops are Christians so go on and accuse them of being the “real” perpetrators of violence on those poor, innocent, defenseless terrorists.
If you want to be a self loather that’s your business, but don’t go judging and “Entire” faith because of the past, present, or future acts of violence committed by so few of its members.

        • Nikechic619

Tony Montana in his liberal progressive psychopathy seems to believe that Christianity is comparable to Islam. He hasn’t read the New Testament. Until the Holy Spirit opens up his eyes, he will never understand.

          • http://www.facebook.com/xcupcakebridex Cassie Riddle

Well, since both religions originate from Abraham and monothesism, they are comparable.

          • Nikechic619

Totally different God’s hun. If you want to be honest about your knowledge of religion, just say you don’t know anything about Christianity. I wouldn’t expect you to understand Christianity, it is an exclusive club. It is impossible for you to understand apart from being elected by God.

          • Nikechic619

I would love to see that guy that went through the CHickFilA drive through say such things to a girl in IRAN.

The haters are strong but miss informed they take one line out of the bible to prove a point but don’t read the whole bible which says a lot more, yes it’s wrong! But there is forgiveness, the old laws are true but we are to
no longer to judge them for it just testify and tell them it’s wrong but there is forgiveness if they repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness.

    • TonyMontana3

Do you kill people who work on Sundays? Bible tells you to do that.

      • J. Cox

please show where it says that, and all passages in the bible that show the law from the old testament, all 3 types of laws, are all applicable today.Oh,BTW,Sunday is not the Sabbath.

  • Pamela Ford Hargrove

That makes me really sad to see all those hateful comments. And if any of them are actual parents — meaning they haven’t aborted the products of their own fornication! — they may have those same things come back to haunt them some day.
Getting pregnant at 17 isn’t about being stupid or about being trash. The baby/pregnancy isn’t the “sin”, merely a consequence (a lasting reminder) OF the sin.
All children are a blessing from God — that’s in the Bible, too! — regardless of the circumstances surrounding their conception.

The “of course” quote is sloppy. She doesn’t mind dancing with a gay partner. But “of course” she would rather dance with her previous partner. Let’s clean up the qoute context in this story– it reads like she would mind when she could care less.

  • Laura Behnke

Why do I always get shocked at the pure hatred and idiocy that comes from the left. Bristol made a mistake.. she admits she did.. we all make mistakes, and most of us learn from them which Bristol has. Christians do not hate anyone.. we hate the sin. We think homosexuality is a sin.. no different than stealing, adultery etc. Why can’t the left understand that we don’t like the choice they made.. not the person.

    • TonyMontana3

So now you’re comparing homosexuality to stealing and adultery? Wow.
And no, homosexuality is not a choice. You didn’t choose to be straight. Educate yourself.

      • J. Cox

So you have scientific proof that homosexuality is not a choice? Please, the world awaits your breakthrough.

        • TonyMontana3

It’s a fact that homosexuality is a sexual orientation. And sexual orientation is not a choice.
Do you have scientific proof that it is a choice?

  • MsContrary

I’ve always thought I was tolerant of homosexuality until reading the tweets to Sarah and Bristol Palin. Now I’m not so sure. I have never been in favor of homosexual marriage. Civil unions are okay, not marriage. The homosexual agenda/network that is pushing for homosexual marriage and affirmative action and political lobbying and HUGE influence and control of advertising, motion picture production, television production–and public education has a jihad going against anyone or anything conservative. I will never use the word to describe them that they have co-opted: gay.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Ms, There is a better word to describe most of them. Insane. If you read enough of their writings it becomes apparent that nothing will ever satisfy them. They are living in a manner that they know inside is not normal, but have done it for so long that they don’t see any way out of it.

    • TonyMontana3

      “Homosexual agenda”?
      Your homophobia is amusing.

      • http://www.aclockworkshuter.carbonmade.com Clara Bernier

Yes, homosexual agenda! I have experienced it first hand on more than one occasion. And yes it is an agenda, an political agenda. And that word “homophobia” that you are so fond of using to death does not apply here. I am neither allergic to, nor hateful toward, nor fearful of homosexuals.
        Oh and one more question.
Why is it that so many “non-Christian” homosexuals are so hell bent on having “Christian” wedding ceremonies? Well, two.
Wouldn’t they prefer to create their own tradition and rite, or are they only more interested in defiling traditional marriage than respecting it as they have asked to respected for their difference rather than their similarities?
I can understand gay Christians fighting for the right to be recognized as members of the church and seeking the right to marry as Christians, but what does any one else have to gain from it aside from paying more in taxes? Well three questions then.
Your lack of comprehension is amusing.

      • MsContrary

        You are in denial.

  • gun_clutcher

And those buttwads accuse us of being intolerant…priceless

  • Johnny Blade

Bristol had sexual intercourse outside of marriage and got pregnant. Instead of murdering the child that was the result of her error in judgement she stood up and accepted responsibility. So what is it that liberals are so bent about? Is it that she made a mistake (Christian conservative), that she had sex because “everyone knows kids are going to ‘do it'” (Secular Liberal), that she exercised her ‘constitutional choice’ over her uterus (liberals, crazy people, majority of the Warren court) by giving birth to the child (Christian conservative), or that she happens to be related to Sarah Palin, a person the left didn’t know existed prior to 2008? Yeah I know… its that whole logic thing, I apologize… Oo

    • TonyMontana3

Or maybe the fact that she keeps appearing in these reality shows….? You know, acting like Kim Kardashian?

      • http://www.aclockworkshuter.carbonmade.com Clara Bernier

And I suppose only conservative Christian teenagers make appearances on reality shows too!?!?!?

        • TonyMontana3

Is that how you defend her? “Other people are doing it too!!”

    • http://www.aclockworkshuter.carbonmade.com Clara Bernier

Exactly. I suppose that, given the fact that she is a Christian and a conservative it is therefore automatically expected that, as a “normal teenager” she should not and cannot make the same mistakes as “non-Christian teenagers”. Go team illogic!!!!

  • fred van name

I don’t have a twitter account but feel anyone who does should be required to use their real name in their hash-tag. That should greatly reduce the amount of hateful tweets when people can’t hide their true identity. By example, feel free to look me up on Facebook. I have nothing to hide and stand by the things I post.

    • $266791

They don’t care. I have had members threaten me and using their name. They have the power of hiding behind a computer screen.

  • $266791

The hate espoused in this site in totally disgusting. I wonder if these people would feel so valiant if it was them in Sarah and Bristol Palen’s place. Sometimes I would love to take one of these pitiful excuses for twitter users and give them a dose of their own medicine. I don’t because they wouldn’t get it. It would just feed into their anger and immaturity. There is absolutely nothing that Sarah and Bristol have done to deserve being treated this way. Apparently being an American who loves their country and cares about what happens to their country makes them a bad person. This is not the vision our forefathers had for this country.

    • tonilaura

I suppose some of the haters have been in similar positions with more disastrous results. Some want the limelight. Most just are followers. It seems to be apparent everyday that there are more who hate this country then admire it. I think one reason is that to be a legal immigrant involves paperwork, long waits and they resent that illegals are receiving so much in the way of special benefits. I don’t blame them because as I am a law-abiding person, I do resent that these lawbreakers are receiving so much. Then the welfare grabbers. Now they do not have to look for work. Unemployment benefits extended time and time again. Chicago with its black flash gangs, shootings but the media and the mayor refuse to “allow” the term “black” to describe them. We, those who love and want our Country to survive, are losing.

      • $266791

I am beginning to think I should start robbing banks and stuff. Do something illegal and you are taken care of. Do things right, love your country and be a good citizen only to find yourself persecuted. We had a case recently in my area of a doctor driving drunk, speeding and texting. He hits a girl on her long board throwing her 167 feet killing her. He left the scene of the accident. He is a doctor for God’s sake. All charges were dismissed by the jury and he only got convicted on a misdemeanor level DWI. What the heck?? Two others less fortunate moneywise than him had basically the same accidents. Unlike him they admitted to their accident and are both going to jail for up to 17 years. What the heck?? We, who love our country and want our country to survive are losing as you said. I am so glad I am 63 and not 23. I don’t want to be a young person watching this wonderful country die and become socialist. I cry in pain for what is coming.

        • tonilaura

Well, your choice but I will not give up. My family have worked hard, served this country, died for it and well continue to do so. I try to think of ways to reach people but …we have so many legals immigrants who really do not nor want to be of America. Too many of them resent that they had to learn their birth country. The schools are more interested in teaching from kindergarten up all about sex, and NYC schools are mandating Arabic be taught three thing a week to students in elementary grades. Not the US Constitution, not that the original Tea Party was a protest against taxing without representation, not the struggles against the most formable military unit at the time, only what they, this day,can grab from the government. Of course, not all immigrants or native born with generation backgrounds are also grabbers. Look at the mobs who attend Obama’s rallies. Listen to his charges and how he is promoting class, race, religion, gender warfare. Like Pilate, he pretends to know nothing about the lies, the misstatements made by his supports. He believes in washing his hands and stick his arrogant chin higher into the air. He was only a senior lecturer at university not a professor but he never corrects that impression. Both he and his wife surrendered their license to practice law because it would take too much time and money to keep current. The golf courses don’t seem hard to keep occupied. As states by the Bar Association there was no public. note, public reason given for the surrender. I heard about the Obamas tax returns but I didn’t see them posted, did you? I won’t surrender my country without a fight at the polls.

          • $266791

I agree with you on all counts. I have my several times great grandfathers service numbers from the Revolutionary War. My family too fought for this country. I refuse to let it be in vain. I just get so scared and frustrated. Obama has no love for America. He has no reason to care. He is in the history books because he is the first black President. Doesn’t matter what kind of President. He will be touted in the books purely on that fact. Very little has been said about his returns and I have seen no postings of them. I would like to know how much money he has off-shore. I cannot believe his investors didn’t put at least some off-shore and how much is invested in American stocks and bonds? Can we Americans demand to see why their law licenses were surrendered or is that another issue that will remain hidden for all time? Sheriff Joe claims to have proof his birth certificate is fake. I hope he has lots of body guards and a food taster. Vote American! Vote for Romney and while at it lets do some cleaning up in the Senate!

I think the person point is, how as a Christian can you pick one sin over the other.? Bristol has every right to say she will not have a gay partner while dancing. Which is funny because he will not be coming onto her he will not be having sex in front of her so why refuse? He is just going to be a man dancing why does it matter. Will she dance with a black man? An Asian? a handicapp person. It is funny how the right wants everyone to follow the bible but they pick and choose what they want you to follow when it suits them. What if she was an independant would not dance with a republican

You sound like hells demons. I know none of you made a mistake as a young teen. The only difference is that Bristles didn’t run from it. She didn’t take the easy way out. She owned up and lived with the consequences. How many of you did that. Then she has the gall to advise others not to make the same mistake she did. Can you really look yourself in the mirror and explain your HATE for this pretty good American family. Go ahead lie to me and others. Just because someone criticizes her doesn’t mean he’s a hater. Grow up.

There is a difference between criticizing and insulting.

My heart breaks every time I hear someone attack Bristol. Because I know so many young unwed mothers who have made this same mistake. This is not just an attack on a girl named Palin. It is an attack on all 17 year old girls who have a child out of wedlock. Liberals do not see that the hate they spread is more HATEFUL than the Christian based belief of marriage being one man and one woman. I have never personally attacked anyone based on their beliefs, but when I voiced my opinion one time on marriage, I was so verbally abused, that I felt as though I was physically attacked. And we are the haters?

  • jeffofnh

Let me get this straight lefties, anytime a person disagrees with your way of thinking they are hatemongers. That shows no intelligence at all on your part.

OMG, this is so rich, I like gays and will dance with them, but they are not to have the same right to marry as everyone else, thats like saying when blacks were slaves, I like blacks just dont want them to have the same rights as everyone else. The conservatives are the haters, and the Palins lead the pack.

    • J. Cox

Sorry, but homosexuals DO have the exact same rights as everyone else. And leave it to the left to interject racism into the topic…shocker.

      • TonyMontana3

Can a homosexual get married with his/her partner?

        • J. Cox

Yes,if that partner is of the opposite sex.Same goes for every man and woman in America. The fact that you want to redefine marriage is the issue, not your “rights”.

      • $21367552

I hope a closeted homosexual male exercises his “right” to marry one of your daughters (or other close female relative if you have no daughters).

        • J. Cox

This supposed to insult or make me fly off the handle?Troll harder please, deflecting from the truth does not make it any less true.

This gets me…. Im a republican. I support gay marriage (since I dont believe in 2nd class citizenship) Im a pagan. There are a lot of things I agree and disagree with. I read Bristol’s post and she was making a simple point. She may not agree with gay marriage but that doesnt mean she will treat people any different. I thought it was clear and to the point. I also thought it was well written.

I have never commented on this blog before, however with what I am reading right now, I feel compelled to put my two cents worth in. I am a follower of Sarah Palin and I think she is a good woman and her family is great!

One thing about Bristol’s pregnancy out of wedlock, how many out of wedlock pregnancies are there right now? Is one of those girls your daughter? I’m sure that at least one of the people commenting is, or has been in this situation. Children make up their own minds about sex, drugs or drinking. That doesn’t mean that the parents haven’t tried to educate them and guide them on the right path. Children make mistakes, as did we all as teens/kids. I will throw no stones as I know that my fifteen year old could make the same mistake in the future. I hope not, but who knows.

Those people commenting about the rude, nasty and sarcastic comments, wouldn’t we be better off treating those folks/comments as the girl at Chik Fil A did in the famous video that has been making the rounds. It is one thing to state your opinion, but when we begin calling names and making judgements about others, we become similar. I might suggest that we handle these people/comments with the same decorum that girl did. Even further, might I suggest that as Christians, we need to treat people a certain way. By condemning them, we lose the abiity to sway thinking and ideas with them. More civil conversation is much better than calling names and hurling accusations. If you let them ramble on and don’t engage, they will soon go away, or in some cases begin a dialogue that is more productive.

Finally, Bristol, good luck on DWTS. I hope you succeed very well. I wish God’s blessings on each of you and hope that I have given you something to contemplate today.

Reading those coments, it is OBVIOUS who is filled with hate! Such ridiculousness! It is a shame! The Gay community want the Gay “bullying” to stop. But what about all the other bullying! Don’t get me wrong, I am against Gay bullying but the ones that posted that garbage about you and your mom probably don’t see it as hate or bullying.

i find it funny that in a country where people love watching shows like “teen mom” and “16 and pregnant” that they would critize your family! I enjoy reading your families blogs and views because they are so similar to my own! keep it up! these democrats who say they believe in peace and harmony and hold their socialistic views in such high regard don’t seem to be practicing what they preach!! It just shows us what they really are! Thank you for your family and all of your courage in speaking out and keeping your head high!

This weird brand of politics sees my equality as somehow limiting
religious freedom. But opposing Palin’s political agenda is not the same
as preventing her from exercising her faith. Palin may worship as she
chooses and proselytize all she likes. Indeed, she is even free to try
to change laws to reflect her own religious beliefs. But it’s laughable
to suggest that opposition to those efforts is the same as the
intolerance practiced by the anti-gay movement. We’re not the ones
attempting to force anyone to change anything at all about their own
lives or personal beliefs, whereas people like Palin and Romney are
actively engaged in trying to block access to the rights and
responsibilities that come from legal marriage.
