President Obama is participating in an online conference call on Obamacare tonight with his friends at Organizing For Action (OFA). However, in an interesting twist, numerous reporters had difficulty logging into the call on the OFA website.

So, not only does the Obamacare website itself not work, but the site that hosts the conference call to discuss the non-functional site also doesn’t work. Of course, that didn’t stop the grandiose claims about how many OFA loyalists were on the call. Just as predicted by Josh Lederman of the Associated Press, they led off with a claim about so how many people were clamoring to get into the call.

What did those “hundreds of thousands” of people hear? Well…

Yeah, that’s a solution! While we’re at it, why don’t we start using the Pony Express to deliver insurance cancellation notices?

Wait, really? You’re actually telling people to hijack their friends’ holiday parties to sell this thing? Trust us, Mr. President, there are more than enough unsolicited political arguments at our family holiday gatherings as it is. We don’t need you egging it on.

For once, Mr. President, we agree with you.

  • Richard J Sunkle

I hear that passenger pigeons are pretty reliable.

    • Robbins Mitchell

maybe the Pony Express…or semaphore flags

      • wil_robel

Maybe they could use Morse Code to inform people that they’re being canceled. They could also use an abacus to tally up those able to enroll.

        • David Roberson

It would be the worlds smallest abacus.

        • Chris Stone

I still remember most of my High School Morse. I could make a fortune translating!

        • DWinMadison

…and by “abacus” you mean “two beads on a string,” right?

        • TeamMomScooter

At least an abacus works, which is more than we can say for healthcareless dot com.

      • Ariadnea

Telegrams seem more reliable, they could be resurrected in this time of need!

        • wil_robel

With this group, I would expect that everyone’s health coverage would just be witch doctoring. Things like tossing chicken bones and tea leaf readings.

    • sec818

smoke signals too…wait, that’s not PC. oops.

      • Mark

        Well, that and global warming.

    • TechDel

Vacuum tubes would be a technological advance. Pinocchiocare. Period.

    • Julie

      Smoke signals.

      They’re extinct, are they not?

    • conservativechick

“You mention the Navy, for example, and the fact that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets. We have these things called aircraft carriers and planes land on them. We have ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.”BHO
Remember the left jumping on the horses and bayonets hashtag? Look who was right on those Navy spending cuts, BTW. “America’s Navy is struggling to meet growing demand while resources continue to decline”
#CarrierPigeonsAndMorseCode should be the hashtag now.

    • Joe McCarthy’s Daughter

      How ’bout those jungle drums?

    • rhetorical1

Aren’t they extinct? I understand they were good eating!

  • WhoDat

This administration, for all the supposed technology they use, is the most technologically impaired group I’ve seen.

    • ObamaFail

Did you get hacked? I’m just wondering because you almost sounded like you insulted the administration for a second.

      • WhoDat

I did insult this totally inept administration.

    • jukin

I recall a OFA event where the world’s smartest man in history did not know how to work a smart phone.

I’m really thinking that Obama’s IQ is just south of room temperature in winter.

      • King Leer

Obama is the character “Chance” from the movie, “Being There.”
Raised in isolation and his only knowledge comes from television.

        • GaylePutt

Haha…..that’s for sure….seems he only hears about scandals on TV.

    • patspace

Yes, except for the #’s they invented to get over 100% of voters in several areas in the 2012 election . . .

    • Frank Drebin

They did a really nice job on their website.

      And these,

E/ That turned out uglier than I imagined.

    • Mike Gable

This administration is not only impaired, it is non-functional.

    • Judy Fraizer

But he is the most intelligent president we have ever had. Couldn’t prove it by any of us as we have never seen a college transcript…..

      • rhetorical1

Some of the wealthiest and smartest people I know never went to college. bho just proves that a college education isn’t necessary to achieve the presidency, as you mentioned we have never seen his transcripts.

  • pinupartist

He’s like a human Faraday cage, except instead of just blocking technology, he’s also blocking freedom, innovation, economic growth, happiness, etc.

    • DeadlockVictim

      So… “Fair-aday”?

  • Russ Mirmelstein

Apparently there was not password “protection” for entry to the Klan rally…I mean action meeting tonight… so I am guessing that there may have been more than a few “non supporters” listening in for grins and giggles! These idiots can’t even get out of their own way!

  • ObamaFail

“We haven’t gotten a lot of cooperation out of the other party.”

REALLY? REALLY!? I WONDER WHY?! Could it have something to do with the fact that when you Dems shut down the government (yes libs, they shut down the government by killing the CRs that would have prevented it just because it defunded or delayed FailureCare), you Dems ran around everywhere calling them “arsonists, hostage takers, terrorists, anarchists, traitors, Jihadists, and sadists.” You slandered them over Obamacare and are now shocked that they aren’t giving you mad props for your failure, and that they aren’t tripping over themselves to cover for you? Grow up.

    • Tony Huff

Might have something to do with 0 Republican votes for this crap legislation. When you exclude the other party you totally own it, don’t whine when they don’t come to bail you out. Whiner, cry baby, blamer in chief, evader, blamer, irresponsible.

    • rabidfox2

I seem to remember Obama closing out any Republican inputs with his “I won” comment. No negotiations then and he wants cooperation now?

      • Clayton Grant

He doesn’t want cooperation. He wants domination. All despots need enemies.

      • brenda

So glad you remember the “I won” comment. I don’t understand why that hasn’t been used by anyone. Thanks for helping me know I didn’t make it up!

      • V the K

” We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” – BO, October 2010, expressing his views on the role of Republicans in his administration.

        • Joe McCarthy’s Daughter

Yep, smart move for Osamabama. Now those SOBs own it all on their own. Can’t blame Conservatives, George Bush or call everyone a racist.

        • Steven DePriest

Funny how NO ONE ever mentions this on the TV talk shows or the radio pundits.

    • patspace

If he wants cooperation he should do something with Harry Reid as he cuts off any cooperation at the Senate “Pass” . . . .and then mumbles on about something totally insignificant . . . unless it could be some of that notarious IRS gossip concerning Mitt Romney’s tax return !!!

    • Badenuff

And it’s going to get sillier.
I’ve already heard rumblings in the party line that health care was a republican idea. While there may be some kernel of truth to that statement, anything that the dems ‘leveraged’ from republican health care got manipulated into a typical platform instead of working. Seems to be any time a right or left think tank gets a chance to make legislation the people lose.
As republicans were locked out of helping craft the ACA bill, it only makes liberal sense now to blame them for the bill since it was all their fault with previous legislation. The dems were just trying to clean it up …yeah that’s it.

    • koblog

Heck, Pelosi and Reid literally locked every single Republican out of the entire legislative process, figuring they were of no use since they had the votes without them.

And now, after jamming it down our throats, after walking through Washington DC carrying that ridiculous giant gavel, after the abject idiocy of telling us “we have to pass it to find what’s in it” when none of the signers including the President himself ever read this monstrosity, after granting waivers to friends and cronies, after delaying parts and enforcing others on mere political whims, NOW the dems think we should rally around this turkey.
      America to statists: DROP DEAD.

      • DebsFriends

Well said!!! The idiocy of carrying that giant gavel through crowds of people was asking for trouble. Good grief Pelosi is so ridiculous, she makes me sick. She is pathetic and the strongest argument for term limits. Reid is just as ridiculous.

    • Leslie Ward

Also don’t forget that NO Republicans voted for this failurecare. Do the Dems honestly expect the GOP to support it now that it is circling the drain? Let us sane people go to a definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

      • M P

There are enough idiots in the GOP to join the effort to save it.

    • wil_robel

That was a given, Dizzy. Everyone knew the numbers were cooked.

      • ObamaFail

Still are actually. The unemployment is 7.3%, yet the job market is even worse than it was last year. So you know someone is working overtime making the administration look good.

        • Robert Jackson

U6 is the real unemployment number and it is over 13%. U6 has never been this high for this long.

        • indigo1322

Number is at 7.3% because they only count those who have “Currently” dropped off getting unemployment pay. They don’t count all the ones who ran out of unemployment insurance months and years ago and still can’t find jobs. When you consider that almost half the country is on food stamps, you realize the numbers are being cooked.

Winston, the Ministry of Truth needs you to print an updated statistical analysis that makes Big Brother look good.

If any of my relatives started trying to push Obamacare during the Holidays, they’d find themselves eating dinner on the front porch in the cold and having to get a hotel. Because I’m not going to let my Holidays get ruined by delusional people who haven’t woken up to reality yet.

And no, that’s not too harsh. I’m still feeding them aren’t I?

    • Bill Gryan

You’re feeding them and paying for their health care. Glad I’m not the only one with delusional relatives.

      • ObamaFail

My cousin’s family lost their insurance, and my cousin is still trying to tell me that things are going to be good for his family from now on thanks to Barack Obama. Even though they don’t qualify for the subsidy but still can’t afford the insurance and my Uncle is just going to pay the fine.

Which means I can expect an annoying Thanksgiving.

Thinking that the food was still pretty generous, though thinking the dishes and clean up are a good idea, just remember who has to take out the trash! • Judy Fraizer

I sent a liberal Jewish friend a LOT of information with pictures to prove I am not some “redneck evangelical radical conservative republican” and he thinks it is all lies from…”the Koch Brothers.” REALLY???? Obamacare to him is the perfect answer for all those poor people who cannot afford insurance. They are brain-dead. Don’t feed them, they are sucking air we will need later.

        • DWAAP

obamazombies, they have no brains left. It just amazes me on how some people are so, well, dumb to the fact of this socialist!

Second, wow, once you lose OFA, POTUS should be wearing a cone of shame. And where is creepy, pasty white guy?

Third, God may have been a trifle offended by him evoking His name in a blessing to the abortion mill. May be some payback. Christians tend to realize when God chastises. Or maybe He’s giving others a message about another one of a myriad of lies.

What could possibly account for the difference in treatment?

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

“What could possibly account for the difference in treatment?”

Signing into law legislation passed along completely partisan lines?
Not bothering to read the law “line by line” before signing it?
Exempting himself from the law he claims to support so much?
Assuring the country “If you like your plan, you can keep it–period”, only for that to be a lie?
Promising Americans would save thousands per year in their premiums, when instead, they’ll have to pay more?
Having three years of lead time and millions of dollars, but still creating one of the most laughable websites in existence?
Assuring us all that Obamacare would be ready to launch from day one and not even being able to deliver that?

Is that enough for you, or should I also mention non-Obamacare items like Benghazi, the sputtering economy, the utter failure of the stimulus, IRS harassment of political opponents, DOJ harassment of reporters, or the complete lack of transparency? What’s that? You’d prefer to live in your bubble and cling to your hopelessly naive belief that all criticism of Obama is racially motivated?

    • Mikey_W

Enough with the race thing. We oppose his awful policies. Let me ask you this. When Obama first took office, his approval was 70%. Now it’s 39-40% depending on the poll. Did all those millions of non-racists suddenly become racists? Blaming race is lazy. We don’t like his policies.

Oh gosh, I don’t know, how about…incompetence?? Lying? I could go on, but what difference would it make? See, I don’t like Hillary either, and she’s white. Only you libbys care about skin color.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Possibly because he isn’t the current president, didn’t set out to “fundamentally change” the country, launch a defective site for an ill-advised endeavor to sell insurance at jacked up prices or extort fines from those who don’t buy?
      Get with the program.
Live in the here and now.

He probably is mediocre at that too!

  • the_bat

Hundreds of thousands are on the call?

I think I just figured out what the big problem with Democrats is… They can’t count. Numbers mean nothing to them. To them, a thousand is the same as a hundred thousand. A trillion bucks? That’s a little more than a billion, right? 100 million unemployed? That’s like about 100,000, right?

  • cscape

What about a “conference call” with the American people (who this guy is supposed to be leading)….. What a joke – and what a colossal mistake to make him President

  • danwat1234

Here is the recording of the live audio stream of the ‘phone call’

    Here is the audio;

    The audio was recorded from this site;

  • PMS2

    One. Misfire. After. Another

  • RDuke

“Wait, really? You’re actually telling people to hijack their friends’ holiday parties to sell this thing?”

Let’s not call it hijacking. Let’s say “get[ting] in their faces.”

  • andy

Just wondering….why did he need to have a “special” confab with the OFA anyway. Why didn’t he do like every pres before him in the modern era and have a real press conference with reporters able to ask hard questions after a brief statement of about 12 minutes or so. That way the entire country could see him inaction (space left out intentionally).

    • StotheOB

Because he’s the “cool, tech savvy Prez, yo!” …duh!

      • Jay Stevens

And the smartest man in the room.
And we are too dumb to understand the nuance.
        And …

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

“I don’t wanna deal with this crap. Just cut the line and put out the word that they system is overwhelmed with interest. They bought it for the Obamacare website, they’ll buy it now, too.”

  • stuckinIL4now

“While we’re at it, why don’t we start using the Pony Express to deliver insurance cancellation notices?”
If Obumuh was absolutely certain it would slow down the delivery of those cancellation notices to suit his distorted agenda, he would do it. As for my family holiday gathering–I’ll be looking many of them straight in the eyes when I loudly proclaim “TOLD YOU SO!!”

  • koblog

Yeah, DemBamaCare will be a topic during the holidays all right…but not the way President Liar wants.

  • AmericanMom

Braille is the answer; we all must be re-educated. When engaging by mail, do not use cursive.

  • Bartman231

Talk up Obamacare at holiday parties?? A lot of people are going to get bitch slapped…

  • danwat1234

Here is the recording of the live audio stream of the ‘phone call’

He was probably late again. Playing cards or smoking some dope.

      • danwat1234

Well if you go to 5:40 into the video you hear him speak and if he was late, the host certainly played it smoothly

  • Sean

“Host of OFA conference call with Pres Obama says “a ridiculous number” of supporters are on tonight’s call.” Guess they didn’t expect that all the people who have had their policies canceled would call in.

  • Justin Patterson

Hey obama, do everyone a favor, pull your socialist head out of your ass and leave our country!!!

  • StotheOB

    An “estimated 200,000 people”

…damn, Bret Baier gets more then that weighing in on that little instant tracker thingy on the bottom of the screen during Special Report!

Seriously, I’m going back to my old position of Obama being the biggest kiss of death the world has ever seen – everything he touches turns to absolute $hit. If I could stand the guy, I would almost feel bad for him.

  • Christine Germinario Gucker

A person just got on to the site! LIGHT THE BEACONS

  • hal8196

    I am guessing 6 people were on the call…just a guess…

  • Thomas Purcell

  • Mike Gable

    It’s in the mail!

  • Marc

yes please keep up this constant drone about Affordable careless Act,
yet another Holiday season Hijacked with this government talking points.

  • Keith

    It’s Bush’s Fault. :)
    Because your a racist.

  • Birdbranze

To that last statement I’d say “About 5 1/2 years too long!”

  • John Bruce

I now know what I’m going to talk about at Christmas dinner…..

  • LMW51

200,000? Beaten again by the number of policy cancelations.

  • Clifford Schneide

yeah… too many reporters are bought and pay for.. you guys in general have turned you brains off a long time ago… we are being destroyed by both parties… and you guys will not talk the truth… or write the truth… and even MISLEAD many with your … half lies to make some non real vision come true… as EVIL is destroying your future and your children’s future…

YOU ARE LETTING THEM ENSLAVE YOU… and most will not see it or REPORT it….

sad… you ARE part of the problem …. the world power players laugh at your foolishness… and enjoy it too

    wake up…. or… if you like… be enslaved…. your choice…. :(

  • W Randall

“We don’t have horses or bayonets any more” ‘0bama, October 22 2012; Now he is
relying on the USPS??? Using one failing Government money pit to deliver the
news about another failing Government money pit…

    • Jay Stevens

“We don’t have horses or bayonets any more”

I remember that. I also remember the last time I had to inventory our company arms room in Germany. We had 319 M16 rifles. Just coincidentally, we had 319 bayonets to go with them.

  • DutyFirst

Uhmmm, he does realize that all the presentation layers (, user support screens, direct interfaces) use the same background server infrastructure, network channels, databases and data interchanges. The support staff just see the data in a different presentation layer to the website users and they will see as much ‘useful’ information as someone trying to see it via the website (presentation layer). A little bit like chicken pox, the presentation layer is the skin and other body systems while in the background the body cells, systems and organs (server infrastructure, network channels, database and data interchanges) are misfiring like crazy because of the virus, sending bad signals to the skin and other body systems (presentation layer(s)) which react accordingly and present the skin lesions, temperatures etc (bad data and performance). Fix the background (defeat the virus) and the right signals reach the presentation layer(s) and all is good. So it doesn’t matter if you do it on the phone, by mail or even in person it just isn’t going to work right now. Just like with chicken pox it doesn’t clear up from one minute to the next. Recovery takes a while, a long while sometimes.

  • 94912070

You needed to use a rotary phone. No one told you that.

  • BlackBettysBlog

These jack-offs couldn’t run the third shift at a Qwiky Mart.

  • JR48

    He just talks and talks…thazzit.

  • rennyangel2

And I thought all Dems. were sooooo expert at the techie stuff and that’s why “young people” so dug him in 2008?

  • Judy Fraizer

But but but, it’s my legacy..I have to destroy the financial backbone of America, I HAVE to ruin the healthcare industry…I have orders…do you peons NOT understand orders????

  • BoscoBolt
    • Bluto ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ ᵈᴿᵘᴺᵏᵃᴿᵈ

Amazing it’s not getting more press. This POS just keeps lying & lying and the idiot fanboys lap it up.

    • AnneCameo

100 thousand. It’s five million who’ve LOST their insurance.

  • Jeff Go

Fill out your application on a piece of parchment with a quill pen and stuff it into a bottle, then cork it, then throw it into the ocean. That should be every bit as efficient as anything the Federal Gob’ment can do.

  • bidentime

This cluster-call is just the latest Obama failure. He can’t do anything right.

    • AnneCameo

Once they got my number or information, I would not feel safe again.

  • sjmom

Look at it this way folks. You didn’t miss anything because it was just Obama bloviating again/Yawn.

  • capisce

“a ridiculous number” of supporters are on tonight’s call.”
    fixed it:
“a number of ridiculous supporters are on tonight’s call”
You CAN fool some of the people all of the time. Lemmings over the cliff, who, up until the final “splat!”, believe themselves immune to the laws of gravity and exempt from their own policies.

  • Buck Stodgers

“Obviously we haven’t gotten a lot of cooperation from the other party.”

I think that started when your party, Mr. President, decided that a straight-line vote was okay to pass legislation of such magnitude. Not a great way to say “let’s play well with others.”

  • DebsFriends

The conference call reminds me of the 2008 mass tweet that the President was going to send out to all his tweeter followers. They ended up getting the tweet after the news broke that Obama was President. He was considered a “high tech” President. Not doing so well on computers, is he?

  • M P

How about we try looking to our constitution for guidance and use free market solutions? After all they worked to accelerate the US to the leader of the world in very short order.

    • AnneCameo

Yes, the U.S. has fought several wars, civil war, off shore, still do; made it through the depression, terrorism, changes in our economy; and will remained the world leader – obviously, our republic/capitalism has set us apart, has made us strong. It’s a good system – freedoms, equal rights, and limited fed. gov’t.

So, what did these Libs vote for and Obama is trying to do? Move us to the same socialistic/sharing the wealth, huge increase in fed. gov’t growth, control, programs, costs/taxation to change our ideology – and move us more towards that of third world countries? Sorry; but that’s just stupid.

11/2014 we can unite Congress under GOP majority, toss out these Dems who lied and haven’t honestly honored their constituency. We can repeal Obamacare and Impeach O. I don’t know how long our country can stand under his destruction.

  • Cheryl

I have a couple of tin cans and some string they can borrow.

  • Goober

It’s almost 2 months since the rollout of the ACA. about 106,000 have actually enrolled . The program needs 7 MILLION enrolls by March of 2014. When will Obama see that this whole thing has fallen flat on it’s face and to keep going on lying about how well it is working and spending more billions of dollars expecting this dead horse to get up and run is just more wasteful spending. Enough is enough. We are all tired of being lied to.

  • RK

So now Obama is blaming this mess on the other party? Really? What an absolute coward. He is the one who “misled” (LIED) about this bill, he owns this mess hook, line, and sinker!

You can be 100% certain that if this was a resounding success, Obama would be the first to the podium to take all the credit.

  • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Where’s the tin cans and string for the “smartest guy” organizing event?

  • richard40

This is surprising to me, because while obamas gross incompetance in actually runnig the gov has bee aparent for a long time, anything having to do with campaign events has normally been done well. Obama is a terrible president, but he had always been a pretty effective campaigner. But it looks like now he has gotten so bad he cant even do that right.

  • Glen Hull

” I shook it, and then blew on it”

    That’s what she said

  • Sharon B

I’m thinking, two cans and a piece of string would have worked better.

  • bill_a_bob

200000 on the call? I’m picturing a cell phone in a trash can in Times Square for a 12 minute call before the battery went dead.

  • bill_a_bob

I’m thinking the “can you hear me now guy?” Just ate an egg mcmagnum.
