Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner have ordered flags (yes, “finally”) at the U.S. Capitol to be lowered to half-staff to honor the five servicemen killed in last week’s terror attack in Chattanooga:
This comes after tons of criticism for not lowering the flags earlier:
But wait … could it be that this is only at the U.S. Capitol and not the White House?
Sure looks like it’s flying a full-staff. Here’s a link to the White House live-cam feed of the South Lawn and a screenshot of what it looks like right now:
Why isn’t the flag at half-staff, Mr. President? We’re waiting.
Note: If you see a rumor that President Obama lowered the flags at the White House for Whitney Houston, that’s not true. It was Gov. Chris Christie who did that:
