Well, if we can’t count on Dan Pfeiffer for that, we may start to lose faith in the White House’s ability to outdo its absurdity on a daily basis.
Really. That happened. National Journal’s Ron Fournier asked a perfectly reasonable question about why President Obama — sorry, the Second Coming of Lincoln — opted to snub the ceremony marking the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.
White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer replied:
