.@brithume Never thought I'd see the esteemed Brit Hume tweet the phrase "OMG." Can we get a "ZOMG"?!—

Brit Hume has been known to toss down the ol’ “OMG” — when mocking the “largest conference ever devoted to female orgasm,” for example — but this time, it’s Jay Carney who has Hume OMGing.
OMG, Jay Carney speaks of "Republican demands to collapse the world economy." Politics ain't beanbag, but such outright mendacity is rare.—

Well, Carney’s lips were moving so …
“What we see happening with this Republican strategy is a willingness to threaten the very foundation of the world’s greatest economic power, the economy that basically stabilizes the entire world economic system, and that is a very risky proposition,” Carney said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Carney said the fear is that the government shutdown is “the trailer to a movie” of the strategy Republicans are going to apply to the upcoming debt ceiling, which the U.S. will reach on Oct. 17.
Others on Twitter were similarly taken with Carney’s mendacity:
Jay Carney proclaims that Republicans are looking to collapse the world economy as Obama goes on CNBC to scare markets for political points.—

First it was just the American economy. Now it’s the world economy. What’s next, the intergalactic monetary trade system?
