'Boom!' Spot-on Boehner video crucifies Obama: Who won't he negotiate with?

Yep. Yesterday, Mark Knoller reported that a White House official said that “extreme members” of the GOP were being “reckless” over the debt limit. Knoller then called out President Obama for his very own words: He sure had a different take as Senator Obama!

Now President Appeasement is willing to negotiate with pretty much everyone. Except for Republicans. A spot-on video is out showing those telling actions.

Bam-tastic.

This Twitter user has an oh-so-insightful comment.

Sigh. What a brilliant argument!

The sane have a different take:

Well done. It’s nice to see some spine from the GOP. Will they keep it up? Stay tuned.

Wait a minute! Is Boehner beginning to see the light? Methinks he has heard from the base and realized that his position is in danger. Is he already campaigning for the Speakership in the next Congress?

    • almarquardt

Only by the fact that Obama consistently tells them that he will do whatever he wants regardless of what the GOP or even the American public wants. It’s difficult to negotiate with someone unwilling to negotiate. It’s a two way street, and Obama refuses to believe and show it’s anything other than a one-way to his own wants and desires.

      • 8gary8

        WELL SAID!

    • SutureSelf

Can you name one issue – just one – where Obama has shown a willingness to compromise? When he meets with Republicans, he lectures them, as in the run-up to Obamacare, rather than exchanges ideas. Obamacare itself was passed without a single Republican vote. That alone demonstrates an absolute unwillingness to accept even a single idea of the opposition or to give up even a single idea of his own. And in your mind it is the GOP who won’t deal? One can only wonder at a world view so divorced from the evidence.

      • Jack Deth

Well, considering that Boehner was Speaker for more than six moths before he had the opportunity to sit down with Obama and introduce himself.

    Memo to Obama:

When you have a VISA card with a $5,000.00 limit and you have hit that amount of debt. VISA notifies you and cancels that card until you start paying it back and decrease that debt.

So, if you are going to flat out lie to the American people. Expect a noticeable and adverse reaction!

  • SpiffyMclure

Quite simple really. Brokering a deal that might see Assad give up his chems without requiring a US military intervention is called diplomacy. That’s a good thing. Giving into craven Republican demands because of their threats is not negotiation. It’s caving to political extortion. A bad thing.

    • Markward

Right, whatever you need to tell yourself. Because Obama didn’t broker that deal- Putin did and the Bamster has egg over his face pushing for a war no one wanted. Your boy has done jack other than play golf regarding the debt limit that is approaching. The Senate that the dems control has not passed a spending bill in how long?

    • Unicorns and Rainbows

I agree. Putin is a Hell of a diplomat. Maybe Obama can learn from him.
      But he won’t.

      • SpiffyMclure

Oh, I dunno. I think the credible threat of US military intervention in Syria had a teensy, weensy bit to do with Putin getting involved in the first place.

        • Unicorns and Rainbows

Well, if you look at the entire timeline, the “Redline” remark, the use of Chemical weapons anyway, the trying to walk-back the “Redline” remark, wanting Congress to approve strikes, then suddenly Putin makes a deal. Assad’s not scared of Obama. Neither is Putin. And no strike had even been agreed to by Congress. Assad knew that and knew the American people were against it. He wasn’t worried. Putin and Assad did this to beclown Obama and show him they’re running the show.

          • SpiffyMclure

So Assad’s giving up his chemicals and Putin’s forgoing all those lovely weapon sales to Syria to make Bamz look bad? And giving up said stockpiles and weapon sales shows Bamz that Putin and Assad are running the show? Wow. International one-upmanship sure is complicated.

          • Unicorns and Rainbows

Yes it is. See you’re getting it. By the way, Assad has not, at this point, given up anything. And Putin now says he’s not 100% sure he even will. Plus, if he gives up anything, no one can be sure how much he may not be giving up. The beclowing continues. See you’re right: International one-upmanship is very complicated.

          • SpiffyMclure

No kidding it’s complicated. If Assad doesn’t give up his chems, that would fall on Putin, no? I mean, you just admiringly referred to the Russian dude as “a hell of a diplomat” for brokering the deal, so I’d assume having said deal fall through would make him less so. I do find it odd that conservatives are now fawning over an ex-KGB guy with a thuggish communist background, a troubling record of attitudes towards human rights and some links to his political enemies ending up dead in other countries, but I guess that’s more of this complicated stuff we’ve been talking about.

Not sure, mind you, how Vlad brokering a deal, and then having that deal fall through, would *both* beclown Barry. Unless it has more to do with the right’s pathological hatred for Obama and *anything* he does or says. But that’s not how you guys roll, right? It’s not like if Obama’s Mrs. suggested that drinking water is healthy or something, you guys would start screeching like howler monkeys. No sir. All nice and level-headed when it comes to Barry.

And if all this completely hypothetical speculation does come to pass, I’m sure Republicans will support Bamz in putting a military strike back on the table to encourage Assad to get on with it. In keeping with their thoroughly consistent position on Middle East leaders and their chemical weapons.

  • Richard Wayne

Just saw on Fox News how independents hate obowmao care but don’t want the government shutdown either. Of course Juan Williams interprets that as the Republicans will be blamed for any shutdown and they should rethink their strategy. So if the Republicans will be blamed for any shutdown why are dimocrats counseling against it? Why aren’t dimocrats all for the Republicans shutting down the government if it would mean the complete and utter destruction of the Republican party?

Me thinks that dimocrats, RINOs, and the media elite are counseling too much.

    SHUT THE BEAST DOWN!

    • The Penguin (Happy Hanukkah)

      Remember…they’re not so bright.

    • BoltUp

Well, I do think Williams has a point here – after all, the narrative will be carried out by the dutiful press, presenting all the ways in which the citizenry will suffer due to the evil Republicans. Our sound-byte news cycles and short attention span viewing audience will create such an environment of blame.

I would say it is almost unrelated, the Dims not wanting a shutdown, because they want to keep doing their thing – spending. Or they are just paying lip service against the shutdown, so they can then add to the blame scenario, with their claims that they were the ones looking out for us (you know, because we cannot continue our lives without full force government).
