Rep. Steve Cohen’s NRA tweet raises question: How many ways can one say ‘heartless douchebag’?

We already knew Tennessee Dem Steve Cohen was a phenomenal creep. But on Monday, he cemented his place in hell when he tweeted about the deadly Washington Navy Yard shooting. Just hours after the massacre, Cohen shared a Bill Day cartoon featuring an NRA-stamped gun.

Like execrable David Frum, repeat shark-jumper Henry Winkler and an assortment of celebri-ghouls, Cohen couldn’t wait to dampen his hands in victims’ blood to advance his agenda.

No doubt about it: He’s a class act all the way.

Even some of Cohen’s supporters and gun-control advocates were disgusted.

There just aren’t strong enough words to capture the stomach-turning disgrace that is Steve Cohen. But the Twitterverse was more than willing to try to come up with some.

Don’t be fooled by the fake sad tone. People like him are ecstatic to once again have some bodies they can pleasure themselves over as they push another round of gun control.

  • Guest

Ya know… that recall thing really needs to start catching on. No more excuses for such behavior.

  • WhoDat

When is it ever a good time to talk about gun violence?

    • NRPax

Offhand, I would say never. You see, guns are inanimate objects and they don’t commit violent acts by themselves.

Meanwhile, people like you want to focus on the guns while ignoring the ones who are doing the shooting because you’re more comfortable handling the issue that way.

    • Marvin Nelson

You know, I left my gun in my glove compartment for weeks. It didn’t jump out of the car and shoot anyone. My guns believe in non-violence and will only become violent if I need to protect myself. So, why don’t you drop the phony “gun violence” mantra and admit that you are a full-on, screaming socialist?

    • Republicanvet

…says the one posting about Texas abortion law on the other thread.

When is a good time for THAT discussion?

When is a good time to discuss seriously addressing mental health problems?

    • therantinggeek

I don’t know; when it is ever a good time to discuss anything with you?

    • ForTheRepublicOfDave

Sure, let’s talk about it: People are violent. They use guns when they get violent. They also use knives, hatchets, chainsaws, baseball bats, cars….

      • SkyePuppy

Since the UK has banned guns, I’ve seen multiple articles in their press doing lots of hand-wringing over the “epidemic” of knife violence.
Yep. Killers will kill, whether there are guns available or not.
        And douchebags will spew…

    • PatriotRG

possibly when black gangs shoot each other on a daily basis killing innocent bystanders on a daily basis – or would that be politically incorrect ?

    • Ty in TX

About the same time that the Left has an honest talk about the media’s willful ignorance of Kurt Gosnell and Islamic violence I’d think.

    • IceColdTroll

Right after the talk on terrorism.

      • Stagester

        That’s awesome

    • alanstorm

When someone actually comes up with one of those “common-sense” gun control measures we’re always hearing about. We HEAR about them, we just never SEE any.

      • Stagester

Want a “common-sense” gun control measure? Take the guns away from the gov’t and arm those of us who are getting shot at.

      • GaryTheBrave

Why is the definition of “common sense gun control laws” determined by those who hate guns? We have sensible gun control laws. Primarily the Second Amendment followed by federal law that prohibits possession or ownership by those convicted of felonies, drug offenses, or adjudicated to be criminally insane.

  • JeffWRidge

Lefties like Cohen must feel a thrill of joy whenever something like this happens. They get another chance to use tragedy to push their vile agenda. Normal people are saddened by events like these. Not the far-left. Their first instinct is to exploit the deaths.

    • NRPax

I love how liberals’ first reaction is “Let’s take away rights in this country so we feel safe again!”

  • Jack Deth

    Memo to Rep. Cohen:

You, sir. Are like something disgusting found on a warm summer afternoon.
And quickly removed after scraping the sole of a shoe!

    • therantinggeek

Ah. Sticky bubble gum. Although I think “pond scum” is a more apt description for Rep. Cohen… #mytwocents

  • Marvin Nelson

To the voters in Cohen’s TN district: Recall worked very well in CO, so why don’t you start one to get this piece of filth out of office. Of course, if he represents what you believe, then you are all pieces of $hit.

    • TugboatPhil

His district is the Obamaphone section of Memphis. They are quite happy with him. His douchebaggery didn’t just start yesterday.

    • tankdemon

Because there is no provision for recall in the Constitution. But congress critters (and in this case “critter is a euphemism) terms are only two years.

  • Sua Sponte

FBI: No AR-15 Was Used In Naval Yard Shooting……..Piers “Musket” Morgan and Steve “assclown” Cohen hardest hit.

  • Republicanvet

I have a hard time taking anyone on the left seriously when they whine about gun control with so many lives stamped…..out, by abortion.

  • Steve_J

Same as a real rifle the one drawin in the cartoon will do no harm as shown.

  • Tre

If gun control were really a noble cause it would not require emotion to pass. But, since gun control advocates like to use emotion, and can’t even wait for the dust to settle, before running out and trying to get their laws passed, that shows how bankrupt that idea is.

    • Ty in TX

There’s nothing wrong with emotion I think if it’s passion and an honest one. What I’m getting sick of is the deceit and the histrionics the Left and the Dems use to pass there pet laws.

  • Ty in TX

Can’t help but wonder if Cohen wasn’t yelling at the cartoonist “Faster, faster!! The bodies are getting cool!”

    • C.A. Gibson

My guess would be that if he were yelling at the cartoonist “Faster, faster!!” it probably didn’t have much to do with drawing. These gun-grabbers are all butt-buddies.

  • IceColdTroll

Is there no bottom to the Left’s moral vacuity?

  • © Sponge

Communism doesn’t tolerate it’s peasants being able to fight back, so no there IS no bottom to the left’s moral vacuity.
