‘Hilarious comeback’: Brit Hume links article, assures critic it’s not too intellectually challenging

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume tweeted a link to former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint’s rebuttal to Vladimir Putin’s criticism of the notion of American exceptionalism:

Hume was then tweeted this “no thanks”:

At which point Hume responded in his own dry-yet-humorous fashion:

Cue the mushroom cloud:

Does it have pictures? Rumor has it John Daly likes to look at the pictures and make up his own story.

    • 3seven77

But the pictures have to pop-up to hold his attention.

Liberals love freedom of speech and the exchange of ideas, as long as they agree with it and it follows the party doctrine. If you dare to disagree, they will try and shut you down.
If you have an answer that they can’t beat, they consult the Alinsky handbook and start with step 1.

While I despise the NY Times, I think it was a good thing to publish Putin’s putrid prose in the opinion section of that fish wrap. It shines a spotlight on just how manipulative the guy can be and completely illustrates why our country needs someone equal to the task of dealing with him, which clearly, as the last few weeks have proven, the community organizer is not.

A dog on a roof seems so f’ng petty right now. As petty and insignificant now as it was back then. That was the litmus test of the liberal. How you transport your dog on a family vacation?

Congrats u starry-eyed fools…you got what you wanted. Another feckless Democrat Commander in Chief.

That was good read. I appreciate American exceptionalism more and more.

  • Steve_J

Obama never has believed in American exceptionalism. So, as good as it is, I don’t know whty he’d read the article.

    • objectivefactsmatter

It was completely sarcastic for him to suggest it. Which is fine with me.

  • Wiki David

Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark.

I don’t know, Brit. There are a lot of polysyllabic words in the letter. Might tax Daly’s tiny pea brain. Honey BooBoo’s writing is probably above his IQ, too, but she uses small words, so he might have a chance.

    • MarcusFenix

Daly was likely confused by the fact HoneyBooBoo didn’t get through his spellchecker properly, and spent an hour trying to figure out why.

Mega respect or Brit tweets lately.

Haahaahaahaahaa. It appears Brit has been on a roll, lately, and I love it.

….Honey Boo Boo, I don’t think Candy Crowley will weigh in.

Wait! They are two different people?

Not unless you take her to the truck stop.

  • NRPax

So DeMint managed to sound more Presidential than our President. Sure, it’s not a high bar to vault but it was a good bit of reading.

One could read the op-ed that the exceptional comment was aimed directly at Obama’s egotistical image of himself and his sense of his own excetiopnalism.
