Listening, Mayor Bloomberg? Colo. recall Senator said if she lost, Mayors Against Illegal Guns should fold up

While Second Amendment advocates party in Colorado over their success in defeating two state Senate gun-grabbers, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his Mayors Against Illegal Guns group must be stinging from the loss. Not only were they unable to help President Obama propagandize America into passing national gun restrictions earlier this year, but yesterday’s historic recall in Colorado helps put some more nails in the coffin of Nanny Bloomberg’s attempts to destroy our Second Amendment rights. And if he does what recalled Sen. Angela Giron suggested to the New Republic, he will disband his unsuccessful anti-gun group.

Speaking of the Director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns who didn’t get to see his gun-grabbing Christmas, he had only this odd, cryptic tweet after the recall defeat:

Well on his way to early retirement, hopefully.

    Liberty is coming.
    Make way.
If Colorado can do this, even overwhelmingly outspent, other states can begin to turn back the Tide of Tyranny, not only against the 2nd Amendment, but all our Founding Principles.
    Let these victories embolden us.
    Organize.
    Speak boldly.
    Stand tall for our Heritage.
Do these things well, and America will endure.
Lord knows she needs you, my Patriots.

“God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. the people cannot be all, & always, well informed. the past which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive; if they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. we have had 13. states independant 11. years. there has been one rebellion. that comes to one rebellion in a century & a half for each state. what country before ever existed a century & half without a rebellion? & what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms. the remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. what signify a few lives lost in a century or two? the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. it is it’s natural manure.” –Thomas Jefferson to William Smith, Paris Nov. 13. 1787.

I sure hope this is a sign for the 2014 elections. Voters might be waking up to the fact that this administration has no respect for our Constitution or our freedoms. Thank you Colorado.

    • MARK-CHRISTIAN SORRELL

It really doesn’t matter how many congressional houses we take control of. There is no stopping OBAMA. He will rule by Executive Order for the remainder of his term and the results will be catastrophic for America.

      • Eric Korotki

Rule only for the remainder of his term?!?!?!? You do realize Obama is very unlikely to step down after his second term ends. Obama has assembled his own army with weapons, ammo, and armored vehicles called Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to ensure a third, a fourth, a fifth … terms. Obama is not going anywhere until “the people” do something about it.

        • blackhawk556

Dude I don’t like Obama anymore than you do, but if you really believe he’s going to use force to stay on for a third term then your crazy. I wanted him out last November but stop spreading stupid crap like this. People like you make all of us look like loonies.

    • patriot1742

On paper Bloomburg is admitting to $350,000. in donations – but you know it has to be more like a million with all the under the table money spread around to help all the multiple voter people. Thanks to all the liberals who spent money and lost.

      • Gitmo (DL) Rupper

Why wasn’t 62 year old and white “Jeffrey” of New York able to defend himself against a black man who was heard saying: “I’m going to punch out the first white man I see”? Poor Jef was rushed to the hospital where he died shortly after. This happened yesterday, Sept. 10th. If Bloomburger was serious about saving lives, i.e, “no more 64oz’s for you, baby”, he would have saved Jeff’s life by allowing people to carry self-preservation weaponry.

  • tops116

So, did anyone thank Bloomberg last night? Seems like they should’ve. 😉

So – now that they have been replaced by people who will listen to those who elected them – maybe MAIG will close their doors. PS thanks to Bloomburg and other liberals who gave a financial boost to Colorado and yet lost – this is just awesome – maybe they could spend some money in California and lose their as well.

    • draughnk

JEFFERSON STATE? A NEW HOPE. A county near the Northern border voted to secede from CA ,and become it’s own state! What happens if people flood this new state, and adds surrounding counties, then the momentum just takes over all the major population zones!?

      • blackhawk556

The only way we’ll be able to pull something like this off here in California is if we get help from all the other pro gun states in the nation. There’s no way something like this will happen if only us gun owners in this state stand up and fight.

What was Romney’s position on the 2nd Amendment? I mean when he was running in the general against Obama? I honestly can’t remember where he stands on gun rights.

        • Frank L Phelps

Romney was pro gun… but the point is, a supposed “backlash” is unlikely when the Obama voters are still looking for free stuff. Although I hope you are right…

          • pilawyer

Romney only became pro-gun at the time he ran for President. He signed off on an “assault weapons ban” while governor. He was a corporatist, say-anything-to-get-elected panderer and a horrible choice to put up against Obama. The Republican party needs a serious enema and should have gone with Ron Paul.

I’m glad CO. People finlay stundup to the ASSHOLE politicians..

  • Tom Smith

Nah. Bloomberg is a socialist. He will come up with some excuse like voter suppression, or it was too cold, to hot, too wet, too dry, too blue, too green for all the REAL voters who are pro gun-control to come out and vote. So, since he really won anyway, MAIG will stay in business.

I truly hope MAIG does stay around.

MAIG offers a free service to all. This service is to show the differences between the socialist, who wants to control not only your ability to defend your own life with a firearm, but everything else, and the conservative who staunchly believes in the Constitution and all the rights therein; including the right to bear arms.

Bloomberg, Obama, and all the statist socialists, have been getting their asses handed to them on a regular basis. This is just the most recent case.

This will continue, and I will enjoy watching Bloomberg, Schultz, and all the other socialists twist in the wind in their fury and frustration.

    • TexasBill

Bloomberg isn’t a socialist: he made his fortune as a happy capitalist, thank you, and he has no intention of sharing the wealth with the great unwashed.

Bloomberg is a megalomaniac who sees himself as a totalitarian ruler, either an absolute monarch or a dictator, who can control the lives of his happy subjects right down to the size of soda pop they can have or when they can use salt.

      • Tom Smith

Bill, normally i would agree with you. I look at Bloomberg’s actions, not his words, and those groups to whom he donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to.

His “gun-control” initiative = pure socialism.
His attempted ban on 24-oz soda = hyper socialism.
His donation of $375,000 to the two socialist CO senators = socialism.

There are quite a few additional examples I could post, but these are the big three.

There are many within state and federal government who are multi-millionaires, the vast majority of whom are democrats, who got their money through capitalism. However, very few of these same politicians are as openly socialist as Bloomberg is. Those who are, ARE socialists. Elitist socialists who believe they are entitled to as much money as possible and screw everyone else.

So again, I base my allegation on Bloomberg being a socialist based on his actions, not just his political speak.

  • TAC

bloomberg should be recalled and banned from public office

  • ender098

MAIG Should fold anyway. As one of two Mayors who jumped ship earlier stated, they have no intention of stopping ILLEGAL guns, just banning gun ownership by Law abiding citizens.

  • VAfrmNJ

Now you have to watch what the UN is trying to implement…because Jesse Jackson has appealed to them to write a ban on even small hand guns…do your research!

    • SandyLester

The UN has no authority in the US.
Yet, we have a neutered congress (with a few exceptions).

    • TexasBill

Um, I did my research: I read the entire text of the UN treaty. I followed the minutes of the committee that was charged with drafting it.

Guess what? There’s nothing in there about gun ownership in the U.S. In fact, there isn’t anything in there about gun ownership in any country except a clause that says the treaty has no effect on gun ownership within the boundaries of any sovereign state.

The treaty focuses on monitoring international shipments of small arms. Small arms doesn’t just cover firearms; it includes military mortars, shoulder-fired missiles and such. The treaty seeks to prevent such shipments from being delivered to, or diverted to, criminal cartels or terrorists. Sorry, but that doesn’t seem like such a bad idea to me.

Jesse Jackoff can appeal all he wants; it won’t change things in the U.S. He might as will beg for them to include marshmallows. It just shows Jackson’s grasp of the treaty isn’t any better than most people’s understanding. It also shows he won’t miss any opportunity for grandstanding.

Even if the UN treaty did all the terrible things people claim, it wouldn’t make any difference here. In Reid v. Covert (354 US 1, 1957), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that that the U.S. Constitution, which includes the Second Amendment, cannot be superseded by an international treaty. The Constitution remains the supreme law of the land.

Time to tackle Franken-Feinstein and the other cronies/law makers and turn the Peoples republic of CA. back to the glory days of old! Its getting where you can not even look at a weapon without it being against the law, let alone they are trying to enact a ammunition law, that states anyone who purchase 6000 rounds or more in 30 days will be reported to the police! really what the hell are we going to do? umm okay thank you, Stupid laws come from stupid people who have been in power way to long and wouldn’t know a assault weapon from a bb gun from 10 feet away. Great job CO. on to California!

    • TexasBill

Forget Franken: you have to go back to Don Mulford and Ronald Reagan and their knee-jerk reaction to a Black Panthers demonstration in 1967 to begin undoing the damage to California guns rights. Later, Reagan supported passage of the Brady Bill.

And, of course, there was another Californian, Richard Nixon: he once told William Safire he wanted to see all civilian guns abolished. And non-Californians Gerald Ford, who supported strict gun control, and George H.W. Bush who believed civilians should only be allowed to own “sporting firearms.”

Then there was George W. Bush who said more than once that he would sign a renewal of the Assault Weapons Ban if it came to his desk. Amazingly, during the six years the Republicans held the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, there was no pro-gun legislation introduced. They could have repealed the Hughes Amendment to the Firearm Owners Protection Act, streamlined the nationwide recognition of state issued handgun permits and many other things we hold near and dear to our hearts. But they didn’t.

Back in the Bear State, while no one expected much from Gray Davis, the Governator, despite all the gun-toting he did in the movies, was no friend to California gun owners. Remember micro-stamping? Yup, Arnold was the one who signed that.

Then you have to dump about every county sheriff and district attorney in the state because they harass gun owners and refuse to issue concealed weapons permits to all but the politically well-connected (like Feinstein). What they did to the poor guys who tried to demonstrate for open carry (such as it was) in the state was downright criminal.

Having done all that, you’re ready to take on Governor Moonbeam and the zoo that calls itself the California Assembly.

That’s the problem with California: you can’t just take on the liberals; the conservatives have screwed you, too.

Bloomberg is a criminal. Should be locked up for life for treason against the people of our country.

      He is a royal POS.

They forget there are over 40 million Democrat gun owners…and there is no party loyalty when gun control is attempted. Can’t say Clinton didn’t warn them.

Now this is what America is all about. Let’ hope that more of us will learn from this and bring more of these non-representatives back home.

IL and MO are on their way to some 2nd Amendment victories as well! We got some in TX this year so far but not much to brag about, although we will eventually take all are rights back inch by inch!

The real problem here is that citizens of those anti-2nd amendment states are by majority liberal. They believe that if they don’t feel the need to own a firearm, why should anyone else. Just because someone chooses not to take up religion or speak out about something, doesn’t mean you should deny them forever. This is a RIGHT, something that we can CHOOSE to do or not to do.
Apparently, liberals don’t understand math, statistics, can’t read, and are overall idiots. We have SEVERAL examples of why gun laws don’t work. Mexico and the train of illegals crossing the border every day are one of the largest problems. Let’s address that first.
